Oh Bunch, sorry to hear about your Dad. I suppose they were just trying to protect you and Pip. Hope all is ok when you get to the hospital Flowers.

Eek to being 3/5th engaged too Bunch!

What idiots Potato. I'm very impressed you've managed to not spontaneously combust with all the messing around people have done. Fingers and toes crossed for completion on Friday for you.

Re the birth plan, it wasn't discussed at my 34 week appointment either. It's on the list of things which should be discussed at the 36 week one though, so we'll see what happens on Wednesday. OH won't be coming either way as he already knows what I want in an ideal world birth wise. He's come to scans but not midwife appointments, which I'm fine with.

Canters, how are you feeling now?

indi, glad you are feeling better. Also really good news the consultant was nice and listened to what you want.

PotatosMum · 01/08/2016 20:18

Bunch so sorry your dads back in hospital. Hopefully it's nothing and he'll be home again soon. Either way, at least he's back in England now.

Lisa sadly this has been so stressful I don't think it's one of those things where I'll look back and laugh. More likely I'll look back and seethe, I'm not a people person at the best of times but it would seem that both my buyers and sellers are fuckwits Angry

My OH came to all my scans but not to any of the midwife appointments, he didn't see the point as they're so routine.

Went to OHs dads for dinner. Bless him, it's kind that he cooks for us a couple of times a week but we can't wait until we're in the house and can insist that we cook. Nearly every time we go there we end up with bad tummies.

Hope you hear good news about your Dad soon bunch

Co5mo · 01/08/2016 21:28

Bunch I really hope your Dad's ok.

Potato do these people know you're nearly 9 months pregnant. Complete idiots!

OMG...After the discussion about hospitals sending DH/DPs home I have a story. My friend was induced last week. They sent DP home at 11pm. 4am she was 4cm dilated, rang him to come in. He came straight away and missed the birth by a few minutes! Don't let them out of your sight. Gorgeous tiny baby (not quite 6lb) waiting for him when he arrived.

Pinklily1 · 01/08/2016 21:34

Oh wow Cosmo, I can't believe they sent him home! They only send home here if you have to stay on a ward after birth, they wouldn't send partner away during the birth!

Feefeefs · 01/08/2016 21:52

You'd have to have sex with him to get Zika miley and even then the transmission rate isn't proven. My brother lives in Brazil and they've not had any cases in his area yet and he and his wife are trying for a baby, his wife is also a neonatal specialist so if she's not worried I'd relax.

Otherwise he thinks he may well have had it at one point and gees had dengue fever twice, they don't worry about adults/kids getting Zika there dengue or malaria are worse, Zika is just like mild flu.

Loads of random diseases where I work though and we had a lady on ICU die of swine flu in May she was 6 months pregnant. I hadn't been on ICU much that week tho. The only one that's really frightened me so far is a man we had with CPE infection which is resistant to all antibiotics. Went to see him twice then panicked! Was all fine but I ran infection control just in case.

Bunch the hospital I'm going to let's partners stay I'll ask him to stay late and see how things go from there I think.

Good idea on the cut up bottles Lisa!

Hope your feeling better canters it's normal to be worried and I'm sure it'll make you a better mother because of it.

I cannot imagine them even attempting to stop you leaving in my work unless there was some major concern. You'd probably have to go back to pick up any prescriptions if you needed them but people leave all the time, if they really shouldn't have they're back in within 48hours after a miserable time in a&e!

Glad you had such a good experience indi! I hope you get your section!

Exciting about being engaged bunch hope your dad gets out sharpish!

We put in our offer today turned down as they want to go to a closing date (sealed bids etc Scottish thing) so we can put in another offer then. It was all too good to be true! Viewed another 2 tonight, one was a total no, the other a maybe. Need to view some more now. Hope everything works out for Friday potato

Newmrs22 · 01/08/2016 21:55

Bunch oh you poor thing. Hope your dads ok.

potato fingers crossed for exchange. People are generally idiots I find.

I think the induction thing is quite standard. you tend to be on a ward until contractions really ramp up and they move you to delivery. I've heard of lots of people having their DPs sent home late at night to get some sleep. My cousin definitely had this. Usually it takes ages, so it's fine, but I do know of one friend who had to call her DP back in urgently. He made it in time! Another reason I'm holding off for induction for as long as poss!

Co5mo · 01/08/2016 21:57

I couldn't believe it either. Such a shame for them. DH has just told me won't be going anywhere.

AudreyBradshaw · 01/08/2016 22:18

I've told dh that if they try and send him home then I'll be going home too, labour or no. He looked at me like I was a raw prawn and went "obviously I'm not going to leave you in labour, besides, your Mother would kill me!" Grin

BunchOfBobs · 01/08/2016 22:36

Hi all,

Dads bloods seem fine, they want to do a full 12 hour blood monitoring so that means more blood tests in half hour so he's in overnight. If all fine he'll be coming home and god knows what has caused the chest pains.
I'm currently helping Mum demolish a bag of cadburys buttons... Oh well if I must Grin
As much as they whined about us making the journey I can tell she's happy we're here. Won't know more about Dad until he sees the Dr at 11am tomorrow.

Problem is I'm getting some concerning aches and pains. Proper putting the shits up me...

That's a good point about induction. There's a hotel across the road from the hospital where DH will be camping if the need arises.
*
Potato* so sorry you're having a rough time with the house. It properly sucks, I hope there's movement for you tomorrow.

LisaTheSimpson · 01/08/2016 22:48

Really pleased for your Dad, Bunch. Glad everything came back fine.

Also, a combo of excited/nervous/ sympathetic for you having increased aches and pains...! No wonder your DH looks at you like you're going to pop any minute! Grin

Co5mo · 02/08/2016 06:41

Hope the 12 hour test is ok. Does your Dad know he has a bunch of crazy pregnant women that he doesn't know rooting for him Bunch?

Hip pain has got so bad that paracetamol before bed didn't help last night. I feel so guilty for taking it but I can't function without it. Midwife appointment tomorrow so hopefully get a physio referral.

leoniethelioness · 02/08/2016 06:58

I've booked a GP appointment for a physio referral about my rear pelvic pain too. Sitting down at my desk all day long ia torture and I've still got about five weeks to go.

PotatosMum · 02/08/2016 07:27

Cosmo I may have told them that I will pop imminently one or two hundred times... I think they're seeing if they can induce me with stress! Hmm

That story is terrible! I'd be absolutely distraught if they tried to send OH home while I was in labour. What the hell were they thinking!

Feef good luck with the sealed bid, it's a shame your offer wasn't accepted. Hopefully you'll see a couple more you like while you're looking.

Audrey lol at your OHs response to the possibility of being sent home.

Bunch glad your dad is looking good. Hopefully he'll be home in no time.

Fingers crossed baby stays put a little longer!

Sorry you're in pain Cosmo & Leonie.

Hoping to exchange early this morning. I'm not sure what I'll do if we don't as I'm losing the will to live! I've also got two removal companies coming to quote today, going to have to lie and tell them we've exchanged otherwise we won't be able to book them and it would be a nightmare if we got to complete on Friday but physically couldn't move Shock

Newmrs22 · 02/08/2016 07:37

Morning all. Fingers crossed for good news today Bunch and potato

I've been woken up several times in the night by what I can only describe as the baby head butting my cervix. Is this what is meant by fanny daggers? It's been quite painful... Has anyone else had this? I'd been getting this occasionally when walking, but never when lying down!

BunchOfBobs · 02/08/2016 07:44

Morning all.

Well thankfully I had a back ache free night. I really was concerned thing a we're starting. The worrying extra fun came when I stood up this morning and had watery liquid trickle down the inside of my leg. Damn you final stage watery cm! That made me get to the toilet rather sharpish I can tell you!

Fx for exchanging this morning potato.

New I've not had it in the night but it definitely sounds like fanny daggers. Pip has a habit of what feels like trying to burrow through my cervix. Sooo comfy Hmm

Feefeefs · 02/08/2016 07:54

Hopefully baby stays put another wee while bunch until your dad is out!!

Hope your exchange happens today potato, going to book a few more viewings today. Front on the metro station today "crisis spreads across uk as buyers fall to 30 year low" obviously not in our fecking neck of the woods!!!

Feefeefs · 02/08/2016 07:54

Fanny daggers do not sound fun new Mrs!

Newmrs22 · 02/08/2016 08:51

I dont mind it in the day when I'm moving, but it can sod off at night. I feel a bit crampy today too. Plus I just managed to fall over on our outside decking. Hurt my knee and bum. Stupid rain!

Oh bunch the watery CM is so gross. I didn't realise it happened until a couple of weeks ago.

LisaTheSimpson · 02/08/2016 09:57

Oh no, New, I hope you're ok. I've slipped on wet decking before and omg it can hurt. I think it's really dangerous actually.

Haven't experienced the watery CM yet. I'll look forward to that! Grin

PotatosMum · 02/08/2016 10:01

New yep, that sounds like a familiar pain.

Hope you're ok after your fall.

Feef I have no idea where these people get those kind of figures because nothing I've seen in my area suggests that sales are slowing down. We're in a housing shortage after all Hmm

No news on exchange yet "sigh"

OP posts:
Newmrs22 · 02/08/2016 10:16

I'm fine. I did have a moment when I thought I might not be able to get back up! Was about to shout for neighbours help lol

I'm meant to be tidying, but I'm having a rest instead Grin I'm so lazy!

PotatosMum · 02/08/2016 10:40

I'm so cross I don't know what to do with myself. They still don't have the paperwork, buyer still hasn't transferred the deposit and I'm being told that they're doing everything they can to exchange today but I can't see it happening unless something major happens.

I'm just sat at home in tears of frustration, we can't delay completion because quite frankly I don't think Potato will stay put long enough and OH won't move if I'm in hospital, he wouldn't be able to handle the stress.

Everyone has had the date for weeks, I just can't believe how negligent they've been. I'm going to have to put down a deposit on a removal company today because I have no choice but by the looks of it we may well not be able to move Friday.

Sorry for the me, me, me post but I'm just at the end of my tether SadSadSad

OP posts:
AudreyBradshaw · 02/08/2016 10:59

Bloody hell potato I'm so sorry you're having to put up with the incompetence! What a joke! I would leave an absolute stinker of a public review once you've moved and are settled with baby. They are a complete liability!

bunch hope your dad is feeling good today and all is well with you and Pip

Mileymoocow · 02/08/2016 12:04

bunch glad all is well! Hopefully your dad is out of hospital fit and well very soon and you can glide through the next however many days until pips arrival!

potato I'm sorry everything is going to absolute shit again Sad I'm pissed off on your behalf, surely it should be easier than this?! Angry

Ridiculously hungry today! I've already had 3 weetabix, a go ahead bar, a protein bar, a sandwich and a packet of crisps Blush sent my colleague away with some money for some fruit from the canteen and hopefully that'll take the edge off enough. Glad I'm not home or the chocolate cupboard would have taken a hammering by now.

bunch when did you start getting watery cm? TMI but I've been having a lot of excess creamy cm the past few days but am only 30+3.

Keep losing track on this thread, my head is well and truly not in the game at the minute. Major brain fart.
