I'm not though co5mo my parents are still in Cyprus, and we don't even know if dad is safe to fly yet.

How adorable that you're DH gets so into it. My DH whilst working away came back with two items of clothes and I swear I loved him more at that moment. So cute when dads get gushy.

PotatosMum · 26/07/2016 07:54

Dr glad you enjoyed NTC. Not doing hypnobirthing here but I know a lot of people swear by it.

Dannie I've had dull period pains all the way through... I think it's mostly stretching related.
Congrats on finishing work this week. Mat leave (before the baby arrives) is wonderful! Enjoy every minute of it Smile

Dr you sound insanely busy. I don't know how you cope.

Lillian at this point I don't care what stupid stuff my buyers or sellers come up with as long as I get to move next Friday. I'm just done with it all and refuse to be stressed any longer. Although, the thought that we might move next Friday is kinda scary and I kinda feel like the moment we move the baby will arrive Confused

Congrats on not having diabetes, here have some cake CakeGrin

Bunch I'm sure that baby was just kind enough to move off your bladder for a couple of hours. I'm normally up and down like a yoyo too but every now and then I get a blissful night where I sleep though. I'm sure you'll make up for it tonight Wink and if baby does come before Friday (when I'm sure your parents will fly home) then you will have a lovely surprise to present them with on their arrival. Grin

Well I'm still feeling poorly today. Will this cold ever sod off? I really need to get up and do laundry, tidy the kitchen and have a shower. I'd rather stay in bed but it's getting a little beyond a joke now.
DSD goes home tomorrow then I can start packing properly. We're going to blitz the flat at the weekend but there's still lots of little things I can pack before then to make it easier.
We're even packing the kitchen at the weekend so next week we will be living off pub food and takeout... I'm not as upset about this as I should be Wink

With the addition of Dr's little one team blue has pulled ahead of team pink Shock

So exciting everyone getting so close!

Mileymoocow · 26/07/2016 08:14

Morning all! Need to catch up at some point as didn't manage to get on here yesterday! Had absolutely no sleep on Sunday night, the heat was ridiculous and my back was playing up so took a holiday from work yesterday to catch up on sleep which didn't happen as we have a wasp infestation in our back garden! Hopefully it'll be sorted today, I don't generally agree with killing anything but wasps and flies are fair game Angry Back at work today but sleep wasn't much better last night so I'm like a zombie today. So much so, OH insisted he drive me to work because he didn't think I was alert enough Hmm

pink only 5 weeks until I start my lovely foof massages. I can hardly wait...

Pinklily1 · 26/07/2016 09:14

Morning all

Bunch, I've had that over the past week as well - verging on TMI but basically pooing about twice a day and more 'relaxed' Jan usual. It can be a sign of impending labour I think but I think it's probably more to do with baby getting bigger and squishing all of our insides up. I also slept like a log the other night, first time in as long as I can remember. Back to crap sleep now though.
Try not to worry Flowers

Potato, don't let anyone else stress you out, you've had enough of that so far!

Love it when the men get all gooey over baby. My OH also loves looking at baby clothes!

We need another Team Pink lady to equal it all out again Smile

I'm 35 weeks today! Apparently baby is the size of a children's backpack Hmm Here's a bump photo...

IndiX · 26/07/2016 09:54

Morning everyone!
I'm back from my holidays, had a lovely relaxing week with my mum.
My bump has definitely started popping out more and more each day.
Came back home and DH and FIL have built the nursery furniture so I can start buying and looking at cute decorative piecesSmile
Starting to get a bit nervous about actually having a human baby, the nursery is lovely but I just find it weird that there's going to be an actual baby in there.

Will try to catch up but I hope you're all well.

Try not to worry bunch I'm sure baby will hold on for a little while longer.

Danni I had period pains for a while around the 20-24 weeks, I think it's just stretching.
*
Potato* I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you are looking after yourself.

Pink lovely neat bump! Also love your gym gear, I don't want to keep buying more but I do feel a bit outgrown for some of my stuff.

It's crazy that we're all getting so close to due dates. It's so exciting I can't wait for the first baby pic post!

Mileymoocow · 26/07/2016 10:07

pink you look amazing!!! Still very trim.

indi glad you enjoyed yourself and that's lovely of your DH and FIL building furniture! How exciting.

For those who have had health visitors so far - what should I expect? I had a phone call this morning asking me to ring back so I can book her time soon. Sounds daft but I'm nervous!

PotatosMum · 26/07/2016 11:12

Miley sorry you've struggled with sleep so much. I'm convinced that in the third trimester sleep is impossible to prepare you for all the broken sleep you'll get when the baby arrives.

Health visitor was an anti-climax. She'll pop by, introduce herself, get you to tell her a brief family tree and ask a few details about you and OH (are you smokers, illnesses etc.) some people say they ask about domestic abuse but mine didn't. They'll ask you about what support you'll have after the baby arrives, mine was concerned that I don't have many family members or friends I can drop in on and insisted I find some baby clubs to make friends. They also give you your red book, a load more flyers for things and quickly go over safe sleeping and who will be visiting you, when and why. Mine was here for about 45 minutes. Unless you live in somewhere that is obviously very dodgy they don't care about your house etc. And mine at least was very pleasant.

Pink congrats on 35 weeks. That's a lovely neat bump you have.

I'm feeling slightly envious of you ladies and your soppy OHs. Mine has told me point blank that he's now terrified of my bump. I think it's finally hit him that he's been daft enough to do this for a third time and his exw was so rubbish at being a mum and DSD was (sometimes is) such a difficult child, he's obviously traumatised. I have to admit that as much as I love DSD I hope my daughter is nothing like her but I think, having met several of the female children from her mothers side that it's definitely their genetics she gets it from.

Welcome back Indi. So exciting you've got the nursery started. I'm sure you'll get used to it.

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 26/07/2016 11:34

Aw potato I'm sure baby potato will be an absolute dream and he won't stay traumatised.

Glad health visitor was an anti climax, I just really feel like I'm being judged! We live in a pretty spacious 3 bed in a nice enough family neighbourhood. Our neighbours on one side are pains in the arses (teenage son and mum living together = ridiculous arguments) but they're not bad really. Did you have to show her round the house? Will I need to baby proof before she gets there?

On the subject of soppy OHs I've been really lucky if you can call it lucky that mine has maintained a high sex drive. But now I'm almost 30 weeks I feel big, uncomfortable and horrendously unsexy I really am not in the mood! Is it just me? I feel bad but am just DTD for the sake of it atm Confused

BunchOfBobs · 26/07/2016 11:37

Pink you look amazing. I'm so jealous yore still able to get to the gym.

Just finished up at my hospital appointment. We were pretty much told "yep no plan to do anything different unless baby has another almighty growth spurt". Ebw at 42 weeks is 9lb9. I can give birth in the hospitals MLU and have the water birth I wanted and no need for intervention but it's there if I need it. They will only recommend induction or c section if ebw changes to 11lb. I'm also allowed sweeps from 39 weeks if I want them. Dad has his fit to fly cert in hand so happy days all round. Now on Starbucks celebrating with a banana yoghurt frappacino and pineapple, coconut and a banana cake. Grin

Danni89 · 26/07/2016 11:49

Great news all round bunch! Well deserved Starbucks treat

pink you look fab!

Glad you had a lovely holiday indi- and I get what you mean about it being surreal that a baby is gonna be the outcome of all this! I'm scared but excited.

Mileymoocow · 26/07/2016 12:03

Ah bunch that's brilliant news! I'm so happy for you Grin

Nevlet · 26/07/2016 12:42

Bunch excellent news all around there!

Miley my health visitor appointment was a waste of time she filled in paperwork our names etc told us she was leaving in august so we wouldn't see her again and asked a million questions about the dog and his behaviour. It really annoyed me actually because it felt like she was suggesting we are irresponsible keeping him and having a baby Hmm. I know a few of us on here have dogs so surely even more people do in the real world and cope just fine with a baby too!!!

PotatosMum · 26/07/2016 12:48

Miley lol, I'm sure OH will be fine and he knows he'll be fine. I think it's just the fear of life changing and the worry that I may be quite ill if I have a bleed that is scaring him at the moment.

Health visitor won't want to see the house at all and no preparation will be required. I'm sure if you were living in a building site it might make a difference but mine didn't even ask if I'd bought any baby stuff let alone look for any signs of baby proofing.

If you're uncomfortable maybe you need to discuss it with your OH? My poor OH has been neglected pretty much since the start of my pregnancy because I've been so poorly on and off. He's rather looking forward to me no longer being pregnant! Wink

Bunch that's fantastic news!!! I'm so glad that after all that worry things seem to be coming together for you Grin

I think I'm starting to feel a bit better. I have a horrendous cough and very little energy but I don't feel quite so dead so with any luck I'll be back to normal soon Smile good thing too as the next few days will be busyish.
I have removal companies coming to quote today and tomorrow (first one has given a preliminary quote of £650 which for a small one bed flat I think is a bit steep).
DSD is going home tomorrow, which will be a bit of a relief as I can have the flat back and get started on the packing, I've got a funeral to go to on Thursday and my final blood test on Friday. The weekend will be taken up by manic packing. Then we've got the kids from next Wednesday, I've got another midwife appointment that day, we've got to dismantle furniture and send the kids off to their grandad on Thursday and hopefully we'll move on Friday Grin so excited and just want to get things rolling!

Pinklily1 · 26/07/2016 13:07

Thanks ladies. I was looking at old pictures of myself last night, when my boobs still stuck out more than my tummy, and it stresses me out slightly Shock

Amazing news all round Bunch. A 9lb-er would be fine. So good that your dad has been cleared to fly as well! Enjoy the Starbucks!

Glad you had a good holiday Indi. It is a bit odd when the nursery furniture goes up - I think that's when it hit my that there is actually going to be a baby at the end of all of this.

Miley, maybe talk to your OH about DTD? We're still DTD but very sporadically and not in the past month. I think OH has been leaving it to me to instigate and I just don't fancy it at the minute. I do feel bad but I just can't muster the enthusiasm Hmm

I've still not heard from a health visitor. Midwife said she health visitor would be in contact at around 34 weeks but nothing so far. Ive got my 36 week appointment next week so will chase then.

Pinklily1 · 26/07/2016 13:08

Ps glad you are feeling better Potato!

PotatosMum · 26/07/2016 13:16

Pink I'd chase the health visitor. Mine said it would all be automatic but you know what the NHS can be like. Your paperwork may have found its way down the back of a desk Hmm

OP posts:
Pinklily1 · 26/07/2016 13:26

I haven't got any contact details for the HV but need to chase the midwife on something else, so I will prod via the midwife!

Co5mo · 26/07/2016 13:35

Bunch all your instincts will kick in and you'll be fine if it were to happen. I know you want your parents home when baby comes and I really hope that happens. When does your Dad get reviewed again by the doctors? Fingers crossed he gets flight clearance this time. He's got one very good reason to be getting better quickly.

It's only in the last couple of weeks that DH has started to get involved. It was a penguin pram suit in TK max that set off his interest in clothes. It was so cute it totally the wrong size.

Co5mo · 26/07/2016 13:39

And now all your posts from today appear! Good news Bunch.

IndiX · 26/07/2016 13:46

I seem to have missed a load of posts when I posted earlier today.

Miley I go through phases of DTD, we usually do it about 3 times a week and I do enjoy it but sometimes it's hard to get going. I find at night time I feel enormous and then start doubting that DH fancies me and then that ends up in a hormonal breakdown. I find morning/afternoon sex is better becuase I don't feel as huge or uncomfortable. If you don't fancy it though maybe give it a rest for a week and you might miss it and feel more up for it?

Bunch that's amazing news!! So happy for you.

I'm 29 weeks tomorrow and haven't heard anything about a health visitor appt, I live in Scotland so maybe it's a regional thing?

firstgo1984 · 26/07/2016 16:22

Hello again all. I have been absent for a while. Life has been very busy (work mainly as people keep having babies!).
26+2 today, bump growing nicely. I have a little wriggly boy in there (so joining team blue).
8 more weeks of work to go! Finishing at 34 as I don't want to be running around trying to deliver other people's babies any later than that really!
Hope everyone is well, there is too much for me to catch up on!

PotatosMum · 26/07/2016 16:29

First good to hear from you again Grin

Indi I'm not sure if Scotland is different. Maybe ask your midwife?

For crying out loud. We think we've sorted the problem with our buyer, now our seller is kicking off again and demanding we pay moving costs because the rental they want to move into won't be ready until 10 days after we want to complete and apparently they are upset by us asking to complete right in the middle of the window they dictated on their legal documents instead of two weeks after that when they now want to complete... I hate them just a little Angry

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 26/07/2016 19:23

indi I think you're right about DTD, think we should lay off it for a while. OH wouldn't be bothered at all if I said I wasn't up for it I just feel like I should show a little bit interest as every other word out our mouths to each other seems to be baby!

Had some very sad news today. My auntie has passed away leaving my grandparents to sort everything out as my dad is on holiday and can't get home for a few days. To make matters worse, her daughter (my cousin) is due her little girl any day now Sad tried to help out best I can but I have no idea what to do. My grandad is in his 80s and has had to go and identify her and sort out her flat and documents etc. I'm so sad that he wouldn't call to ask for help as OH has been off all day and could have been there to support him and help him while I stayed with my grandma and cousin
