House update, stupid buyers solicitors want me to buy an indemnity for missing title documents from the 1800's when this land was farmland Hmm none of the previous 3 buyers had these documents but as they are irrelevant nobody cared until now.

My solicitors are busy telling them they're being pedantic arses but if they dig their heels in we'll have no choice. Gits Hmm

So annoying Potato. Ridiculous when it relates to so long ago too!

Oh I wonder who will be first to have baby out of Bunch and New? Unless one of me, Potato or shelb decides to pop early! Shock

Pinklily1 · 25/07/2016 13:29

Also, has anyone had or is anyone thinking of having some pampering sessions before baby arrives? I'm considering having a massage, facial and pedicure when I start mat leave as a few salons near me do specific pregnancy ones, but not sure whether by then I'll feel so big that they won't have any effect.

Also going to try a wax ready for birth ShockI can't remember who it was who said a while ago that it was really sore and required frozen peas in area afterwards, but I don't want to be a hairy Mary when baby is coming Blush

Newmrs22 · 25/07/2016 14:24

pink I'm fully expecting to go 2 weeks over. I figure if I plan for it, I'll be pleasantly surprised if I don't wait that long.

I had a massage, facial and pedi last week. Was a special maternity package. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

potato that's so ridiculous. Stupid buyers.

Sodasoda · 25/07/2016 14:32

So exciting that some of you are almost there! Can't wait for birth announcements! I'm almost 33 weeks now.

Pink - it was me who mentioned frozen peas!! But I've been back since and on beautician's advice I went first thing in morning and it was so much better! First time I went after work and I think because I was already hot and tired it made it worse. So go as early as you can in the day. Re pampering - DH and I are going away on a spa weekend trip for our wedding anniversary when I'll be 36 weeks (only an hour away!) and I fully intend to have pampering done then.

Back home from fab weekend away with friends. Now going to spend next 3 days off work sorting out our flat and buying baby things - excited! Smile

PotatosMum · 25/07/2016 14:33

Pink it's quite exciting/scary that we have so many on the verge of popping. Potato had better bloody well stay put until we've moved!
Should we start a betting book for the next baby?

I think my money is on New just because I think Bunches will go overdue to be difficult Wink

I'm not really a pamper session kind of person. I'm just happy to chill on the sofa and sew, although I might see if I can get OH to take me to my favourite restaurant next week.
I'm not too fussed what my foof looks like, I'm sure they've seen worse and I'm looking forward to having a nice grooming session once Potato has vacated! Grin I saw a list a few days ago of how much weight you lose automatically in the first couple of weeks after baby is born.... It made me very happy Grin

Lillian - I'm pretty sure we're going to go with babyZen too. DH just needs to have a play with it and be reassured - he's 6'3" and worries it won't be very good for him to push! But ultimately I'll be the one lugging it up and down steps to our flat during the day when he's at work!

BunchOfBobs · 25/07/2016 16:51

I definitely second the being difficult too Potato Wink Pip certainly seems to like to be Grin
Mor should be up first but we haven't heard from her in awhile.

I've just taken myself to the bedroom to do some breathing exercise and slept the whole half hour instead. Oops. Day 2 of no ranitidine and I've had a full day of heart burn. Fun fun.

Pink he's been out of hospital a week tomorrow which is good.
I had all my nappies packed etc for hospital then the damn hot weather melted my coconut oil which leaked all over the bag gah. Just waiting on it drying as I think I've finally got all the oil off it. All nappies now dyed too so I can finally spread the colourful nappies into the 3 places I need them.

shelbTa · 25/07/2016 17:49

Hi ladies!!

Just checking in to say hi - looking forward to mat leave in 3 weeks when I can get back on chat properly!!!

35 weeks today.

X

Pinklily1 · 25/07/2016 17:58

Hi Shelb! Hope you are doing ok.

New, did you have to lie flat for the massage? I'm assuming they sit you up instead? I figure it will be a nice treat before baby comes.

Soda, good tip, I'll try and get the wax first thing. Will need to time it so it's not too far before due date Smile

Feefeefs · 25/07/2016 19:18

I had a massage last week pink she did it with me lying on my side and then turned over to the other side. It was nice! Was going to have a facial instead and she said they tilt you up for that

PotatosMum · 25/07/2016 20:11

Bunch I think Mor popped in a while ago to say she lurks occasionally but was struggling to keep up. Hopefully she'll pop in to let us know when she's had her baby.

Sucky that your coconut oil melted. Best get that bag repackage soon though, it'd be pretty tragic for you to be as organised as you are and then go into labour without your hospital bag Wink

Shelb yay for 35 weeks. And only 3 weeks until mat leave is exciting.

I have moving companies coming to give me quotes over the next couple of days. Hopefully the solicitor will get the indemnity issue sorted so that we can exchange by then.
I'm definitely never moving again. They can carry me out of our new home in a box!

DrWhy · 25/07/2016 20:53

Eek - some of you are getting so close now, it's exciting!

We went to NCT classes over this weekend and it was really good for making me thinking about the birth and the baby (and making DH think about it too!). I've definitely started on my pelvic floor exercises - which I should have been doing for weeks and my relaxation exercises. Is anyone else doing/thinking of doing hypnobirthing? I've had the first session but not been very good at doing my homework- NCT has made me think I need to practice more if I want it to work.

Potato I completely see your point about moving, that's exactly how I feel about this house.

Pink I had the same as feef with a massage on my side, she's a pregnancy specialist who works with a chiropractor and it was blinking painful but very effective!

BunchOfBobs · 25/07/2016 21:23

Dr I've done my hypnobirthing course, I have a refresher session tomorrow. It's been amazing. You definitely need to do the homework for it to work though. I'm still getting to grips with the breathing despite doing it for the last 9 weeks.

Danni89 · 25/07/2016 21:44

Hi girls..

Hope everyone's ok, can't believe some of you are so close to the finish line!

Been suffering with some dull period type pain over the weekend, anyone had this??

Had my last NHS birthing session today which was good.

My last day at work before mat leave is next Thursday, so my department are planning a meal for me this friday. Really looking forward to finishing and enjoying a bit of me time. Then my baby shower is next weekend, lots happening!

Oh and pink I had my massage last week- was on my side and then back, but raised with pillows- it was lovely.

Pinklily1 · 25/07/2016 21:52

Good to hear the massages have gone down well, will definitely book in for one.

Danni, exciting that mat leave is so close! How many weeks will you be when you finish?

I really need to do more pelvic floor exercises, I've been neglecting them Shock

Pinklily1 · 25/07/2016 21:53

Dr, do you know baby's sex, or are you Team Vanilla?

Danni89 · 25/07/2016 21:56

I'll be 34+4 when I finish, did want to work up to 36.. But been really struggling with the heat and swollen feet

DrWhy · 25/07/2016 22:26

Pink I didn't realise I hadn't announced it on here - I'm team blue Smile

Bunch I was a bit late starting and my instructor is away 2 weeks now so it will all be a bit last minute. Listened to the relaxation thing every evening for the last 3 nights but it puts me to sleep - just not finding time for the affirmations. I need to make time but tonight I went straight from work to yoga, home from there and had a quick dinner and have just spent the last goodness knows how long making a huge veggie lasagne to go in the freezer as we had a fridge full of veg. Tomorrow I'll be at work until late and Wednesday i'm going from the office to the midwife to dinner with a friend and then swimming! I wonder if it will still go any good if I just do it through the last 3 weeks while in on Mat leave... Confused

DrWhy · 25/07/2016 22:28

Danni I totally get how you feel about mat leave. I'm planning on working up to 37 weeks but I'm 33+4 today and I'm shattered already and totally stressed out by work. Annoyingly I don't think I can move mine forwards without forfeiting the 2 weeks annual leave I put at the start. Boss has said its fine to work from home though so I may have to do that more.

LillianFullStop · 25/07/2016 22:38

elle I tend to have lower back pains and the stretches really emphasised how tight my lower back was! Also it's made me more aware of maintaining a good posture - I will give it a couple more sessions before I sing praises but I quite enjoyed it! A massage sounds nice though I would like to get one too before my due date.

I'm so so soooooo excited for all of you hitting the the last month!!!

potato will they ever run out of ludicrious things to delay?? fingers crossed you get to exchange any day now so you can relax.

soda the handle to push goes quite high on the BabyZen (higher than the Silvercross and Bugaboo) so I think your DH will be fine! My DH is 6 foot and he is ok with it. you're right though what matters is you being able to lug it up and down steps and around the tube!

on a good note - got my GTT results back and all came back normal so no gestational diabetes for me! I'm so relieved!! Just need this low-lying placenta to move up now so I can go back to the low risk category.

BunchOfBobs · 25/07/2016 22:55

Dr I do the affirmations whilst in the shower or whilst driving as I too struggled to fit them in. The relaxing track I was told is supposed to make you sleep. Are you using the Marie Mongan method and rainbow relaxing cd? I've never stayed awake through the relaxing track.

It'll definitely still do good. One of the ladies on our course only got 4 weeks of it and still put it to excellent use- completely natural birth no pain relief at all.

Woohoo Lillian. Time for cake Wink

Sodasoda · 25/07/2016 23:03

Thanks Lillian. If it helps I had low lying placenta at 20 week scan but at 28 week growth scan it had moved up - they said to me around 9 in 10 will move so hopefully yours will too!

Everything is getting very real and close on this forum now - eek! Shock I had pregnancy yoga class tonight, not sure I'm really feeling it to be honest. But it did remind me I need to up my pelvic floor exercises... Have been very lax and slightly in denial about it all.

Off to my John Lewis nursery appointment tomorrow - really excited about it Smile

BunchOfBobs · 26/07/2016 06:23

So pregnancy totally drives you insane.
I've woke up panicking because last night I slept through for the first time in literally months from 11pm until 4.30pm. I've also been going the loo ALOT the last few days. DH thinks I'm insane for worrying but I've read that body clears itself before labour and you can get a few nights good sleep. I'm worrying over nothing yes?! Baby hasn't dropped, enough I'm just panicking......

Co5mo · 26/07/2016 06:42

Ah Bunch do try not to worry. Even if you were to have your baby in the next couple of days, you are totally organised and ready to welcome them.

Anti D injection this afternoon. Looking forward to that 😕.

More shopping done last night...bottle set, steriliser, crib, crib sheets and blankets should be ready for DH to collect on Thursday. I expect he'll come back from mothercare with a pile of clothes as he spent last night cooing over outfits for baby. So cute. 💓
