Fresh you've just made me realise my 60 day mark was yesterday. It seems so near when you think about it in days!

Talking of days... 5 left until our house move. Got exhausted walking around the shops yesterday - this doesn't bode well. Confused

Afreshstartplease · 20/08/2016 09:58

Kariana I got exhausted walking around my house yesterday .....

Does sound near when you talk about it in days doesn't it!

The latest I've ever gone in a pregnancy is 3 days before edd too and the earliest 11 days before. So really it could be less than 50 days.... all these possibilities!

53 days?? How did that happen!

Only got 18 work days to go now - woohoo!

April241 · 20/08/2016 10:33

48 days here although I'm only counting till 37 weeks. I fear it could only be 5 weeks away though rather than 7!

OH is away to Edinburgh to pick up his new car today and I'm picking mine up at 12, managed to trade mine in and get another for a really good price, just went for a 59 plate Astra, fits the buggy and plenty room for shopping, has 5 doors - sorted!!

OH is also off work for the next week and a half so we're going to finish the nursery. Oh man...kind of nervous!!!!

Afreshstartplease · 20/08/2016 10:39

Bh are uncomfortable today coming whenever I sit down it's like I just can't rest ever

Juliette How can I pm you? I'm on iOS app if that makes a difference

JulietteL · 20/08/2016 13:20

Shakespeare I've sent you a pm. You should get an email notification with a link to read it.

Kariana · 20/08/2016 19:08

I dont think I've had any braxton hicks yet, is there anyone else who hasn't had them? Wondering if it's just me!

HobnobDunker · 20/08/2016 22:33

I don't think I've had them either!

Blueskygirl30 · 20/08/2016 22:44

Kariana I think I might have had one about 4 weeks ago, around 29 weeks but definitely no more than once.

I keep reading things like 'by now you'll be getting used to Brixton hicks' or 'by now your baby will probably be keeping you awake at night with all his kicking'. I feel him kicking each day but certainly not to the extent he disturbs me. It's all stressing me out!

HobnobDunker · 20/08/2016 23:15

I've been woken once from strong kicks and only been kept up a couple of times when I've got up for the loo and then she's had hiccups so that's stopped me from sleeping, mainly because all I can think is "ahh how cute" so I can't sleep. I'm sure one of my friends never got BH throughout her pregnancy.

MrsMKJ · 21/08/2016 01:57

No BH here either ladies! I was also starting to worry if that was normal?

Juliette I can't see how to PM you either! I think I'm supposed to be looking for three dots but can't see them! Sorry! Id like an invite to Facebook too if possible.

X

EnoughAlready999 · 21/08/2016 04:17

Anyone else up? I've an all-over-bump tummy ache so just took paracetamol with some milk.

The neighbours wouldn't stop bloody barking but fingers crossed it has now. I've not been up in the night like this so far so it's a taste of things to come I guess. 32 weeks today, not sure I can put up with it for that much longer.

My brother & family have just been down on holiday and when they left said we probably won't see them again til next year and possibly not til Easter! My baby will be 6 months old by then! Their school half-terms are usually different to ours and they are busy with stag/hen do in Oct and a wedding at Christmas. I suppose I could visit but it's a 6 hour drive from
here.

Went for a stomp on the moors yesterday in the wind and rain (DD's idea), felt good at the time but now wondering if that's related to my pain now. Got cheesy chips with curry sauce after Blush, should try and eat better really.

Feel like these holidays have been a bit boring for DD as we've not been away due to me being pregnant and DP not having much time off. Has anyone holidayed abroad with a baby? Thinking about next year and whether to go to Greece and just go to France or Spain on the ferry.

EnoughAlready999 · 21/08/2016 04:18

Sorry most of that was me thinking out aloud!

ShakespeareanQuotations · 21/08/2016 07:05

Enough We're going on holiday in February. Baby should be 3&1/2 months old if born on time.
We've previously taken our other children at 5 months, 6 months and 11 months. We took them to Florida. Long flight but English speaking country.
All were BF so feeding not a problem.

The younger they are, the easier it is to take them along.

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 21/08/2016 07:28

Enough we have a holiday booked to Portugal for next summer - this baby will
be about 9 months. We're not going anywhere this year, and the last holiday we went on, last summer, was a bit of a disaster - I had my appendix out a couple of weeks before, but was told I could still travel. However the hospital failed to give me antibiotics when I left. So the wound got infected while we were on holiday. I had to go to the hospital there every other day to have the wound cleaned and redressed. Luckily it was across the road from our hotel! We're going with both sets of grandparents, so there will be lots of people to help with DS and this baby.

Afreshstartplease · 21/08/2016 07:37

Enough how is the tummy ache now?

I think BH are yet another thing that is felt more with subsequent pregnancies. Ivr certainly no memory of feeling them so strongly last time! Hopefully means my body will be well and truly ready!

We've never taken an under 2 abroad, however I think we might go next May/June so baby will be 7/8 months.

31+4 today and stuck by morning sickness yet again Sad

obsessedlex · 21/08/2016 08:16

I would echo the smaller they are the easier it is to travel! We did Australia at 18 months old which was horrendous!!! Venice at about 4 months was bliss!
Have anyone bought the perfect Prep machine? OH wants it as he loves gadgets but I wonder if it's really worth it? Has anyone actually used one? X

Afreshstartplease · 21/08/2016 08:20

I've got a perfect prep, and I have used one before.

Making bottles and getting them cool when baby is only on a couple of oz per feed isn't too bad but it can take a while to cool when they are having larger feeds. In the middle of the night, your either dragging yourself downstairs with a grumpy baby or taking a kettle to bed. I decided to be kind to myself especially as I got mine for £70

I remember seeing a few others on here had bought the cosatto giggle 2, are any of you planning on using a buggy board? From what I can see there is no recommend one and using one may damage the frame and mean you loose the guarantee.

EnoughAlready999 · 21/08/2016 10:46

Thanks Shakesperean &
Schnitzel, I guessed the younger they are the better. What would a 10 month old be like on a plane? Bit tricky I guess. I'm just imagining if we went somewhere in Aug but actually I think we might go in term-time now they've scrapped the fines and as DD will be in her last year.
I'd love to visit DP's friend in Thailand but not sure I can face that flight with any age child!

Tummy ache has gone now thanks Fresh. It was probably wind!

Tallblue · 21/08/2016 13:07

Another echo that travelling is easier the younger the baby. My DD at 2years has travelled a fair amount (unavoidable as we're expats so have to travel to see family) and it gets harder the older she gets. The worst was at around 15 months when she just desperately wanted to walk around the aeroplane and wouldn't sit still on a 7 hour flight. Enough at 10m I reckon you'd be fine.

I haven't had any BH and also didn't in my previous pregnancy. In fact, when I went into labour with DC1 (early at 37+4) I thought it was just my first experience of BH! Trip to my antenatal appointment which happened to be that day confirmed I was actually in labour and 2cm dilated. Ended up going to hospital with no bag and very unprepared. So this time if I have what I think are BH I'm assuming labour has started. Will also pack a hospital bag a bit earlier this time.

I spent a lot of time in Ikea on Friday and spent Saturday with a painful bump, mainly at the top, I think its my abdominal muscles protesting at trying to hold up the bump. Will have to dig out my very unattractive support belt which DH says makes me look like a weightlifter Smile

Northernlight22 · 21/08/2016 16:15

So the baby has a pattern of movements that is made to stress me out!

Few movements on a morning, hardly anything through the day and then 4pm comes and he starts doing rhythmic gymnastics in there. Little sod!

Figgygal · 21/08/2016 16:16

I've never had BH in either pregnancy bit worried wheh i go into labour I'll dismiss them as BH and give birth on kitchen floor before I realise what's going on.

Ds has been flying since he was 6 weeks old probably every 2-3 months back and forth to my family in Scotland he's 4.5yr now still not been abroad I see no appeal in it DH and I went to turkey for a week last year while ds stayed at home with my mum now that was a holiday!!! We take him to Devon couple times a year and he loves it there on top f Scotland and we on our way back from London just now where he's been a mega tourist. He's off to school next month so don't see us going far for a while what with being limited to the extortionate school holidays. My mum getting a villa next year and wants us to go over so I might consider that.

Figgygal · 21/08/2016 16:17

Did 16,000 steps yesterday thought my legs were going to fall off

Kariana · 21/08/2016 19:06

Well ladies it sounds like we don't need to worry about the lack of braxton hicks since there's a fair few of us without. Good news! I haven't had any kicks really that have woken me or kept me from sleeping so that's another good thing.

Enough for a moment I had visions of your neighbours actually barking, until I realised it was obviously their dog. Made me giggle anyway. Grin Glad you're tummy is feeling better. I really should be eating better too, I want cheesy chips right now. So unhealthy Blush

Obsessed, my friend who mixed fed had a perfect prep machine and swore by it. I've been round a few times when she used it and it looked so simple and definitely cut down on crying hungry baby time. I have just ordered one for £70 as it definitely looked worth it!

Dh put up the cot today at the new house. All seems a bit more real now!!
