I am just using a Primark hold All for my hospital bag I looked it out of the cupboard this morning.........not filled it up yet but that felt like progress. Baby bag I have my old black fabric radley bag it has pockets, clips, change mat etc and DH can use it too.

We are 2 weeks into the house move we are in a fully liveable state but there is a lot of stuff in the garage still to work through. I am still obsessed with looking at houses though which is annoying me as we bought what we did when we did as it was available though but smaller and more expensive that I would have liked now I can see prices coming down and we could get more for our money but I need to stop thinking like that as if we had waited much longer we wouldn't have moved before DS goes to school and baby comes and that would have been difficult. Good luck with it!!

My mum is down for a week next week DH and I are going to try and get out a couple of times while she is down (was looking forward to suicide squad but reviews are awful). I was thinking just yesterday with a house move, DS starting school and new baby It is so much change but am looking forward to our new "normal".

Kariana · 04/08/2016 18:13

Northern I feel a bit the same. I love spreading time just me and dh and of course I'm excited for the baby to be joining us but I do sometimes worry about what will happen with us as a couple. Maybe this is why I'm in denial about the hospital bag too!

Enough I was told that about my bloods - they only contact if there's a problem.

Havetobecrazytolivehere · 04/08/2016 19:45

Hi everyone, 31 weeks tomorrow which has kind of crept up on me this week, into single figures now!
Enough I got a letter a few weeks after my bloods to ring the doctor, it was just anemia so he spoke to me on the phone and prescribed me some iron tablets joy!
Clank I really feel for you, I have finished work now but worked later last time. I just didn't think I could manage it this time, I am really starting to struggle with everything now. I previously found the last month to be the worst where you feel knackered and uncomfortable all the time, can't sleep, nothing to wear etc but this time it seems to be the last 3 months instead.
Not quite recovered from camping last weekend, turns out it is nigh impossible for a pregnant women to get up off an air bed and spent most of my time walking to the toilets and back. Off on my family holiday this weekend which is at least in a nice caravan but I have run out of fun now.
Waiting a few more weeks before I start washing the baby clothes, it's my favourite bit so I do obsess over it a bit.

29+1

Baby has just given me an almighty boot in the ribs and it bloody hurt

This is on top of my spd playing up something rotten and the arrival of fanny daggers when I walk

Same as Havetobe I am now starting to struggle. I get out of breath and get stuck on the sofa Sad looking forward to maternity leave, not looking forward to school runs in Sept

My hospital bag is an adidas duffle I've used it for all three so far. Will also take baby bag. Started buying odd bits on the shopping e.g. maternity towels. I've only on one out of three births gotten into the planned nighty to give birth. The other two I just wore T-shirt so seems silly to buy one especially!

I was told no news is good news RE blood tests. My arm is still sore from wc on Tuesday and I can't lie on it so struggling to sleep as I usually swap from side to side during the night when my hips hurt

Northernlight22 · 04/08/2016 21:14

Mine isn't that active to be honest - I've got an anterior placenta though so that cushions a lot! I spend so much time lying quietly checking if he's kicking!

I'd love a boot in the ribs! 😂

Afreshstartplease · 04/08/2016 21:44

I've had a couple more since. I think it's if I lean forwards so I may be squishing him. Honestly don't remember any previous babies movements causing me actual pain though!

OP posts:
LisaTheSimpson · 04/08/2016 22:07

Yes, fresh, same here! I feel like I've gone from having four potential sleeping positions pre-pregnancy (front, back, each side), to having two (left and right side), to now only having one as my wc jab has made my right arm so sore!

People who had their wc jabs a while ago - when did your arm stop hurting?

BlueberryMuffin85 · 04/08/2016 22:14

My wc arm took about 3 days to stop aching. And they did it in my left arm and I can only lie on my left if I lie on my back I feel like I'm trapped under my own weight and if I lie on my right I get pins and needles! I cannot wait for the day I can sleep on my stomach again! Grin

LisaTheSimpson · 04/08/2016 22:26

Yes, Blueberry! I vow to never take other sleeping positions for granted again! Grin

ChatterNatterer · 04/08/2016 22:50

tallblue hope the move gets less stressful

Also agree with the sentiment on couple time, this is our first, has been lovely having a few days off together to do couple stuff this week Smile

And coincidentally - been off Work 3 days and had my weekly BP at the midwife - lowest it's been since my booking appointment!! Coincidence?! Need coping techniques for not getting stressed at work!

Put curtains up today in nursery - it's looking more and more like a bedroom for our baby, eeeep, 9 weeks to go Shock

ChatterNatterer · 04/08/2016 22:52

Lisa mine took just under a week I'd say - and I swear my cold came back after I had it done! My poor right hip was very glad when I could lie on my left side again!

I can still lie on my back but it's not good for bubs is it?? I wake up in the night on my back, panic I have broken my baby and turn on an achy hip instead Blush

Afreshstartplease · 05/08/2016 06:53

Funny you should day that about your bp chatter, I had to take all three DC to my last app and my bp was highest it's ever been. Even the mw said it was prob down to having them there!

OP posts:
Northernlight22 · 05/08/2016 07:07

Mines the same - every time I have it done at the hospital it's higher then when I have it done wth midwife as I'm more stressed out. I try to get my appointments first thing now before anything gets to me!

ChatterNatterer · 05/08/2016 07:22

Yeah all my high readings have been at the hospital or when I rushed to an afternoon appointment straight after work! It's crazy how you can feel 'okay' but in effect your body is saying you're stressed!

Last day off today before work next week - making the most by lunch out and a trip to the cinema I think - hope everyone has lovely days Flowers

Afreshstartplease · 05/08/2016 07:28

I am currently cleaning before a playdate arrives at 9 Sad not my idea of fun

Northernlight22 · 05/08/2016 07:34

Working today and my wc jab at 10 so planning on moping about!

Kariana · 05/08/2016 08:01

My arm stopped aching after the first night so I guess I was lucky. I don't bruise or swell easily though so that probably helped.

Chatter I had a similar thing with my bp, it dropped right down when kids had 4 days off. I'm guessing it's back up now because even though today is my last day (yay!) I'm stressed as I haven't done everything I needed to for handover. When do you finish?

I'd also love a boot in the ribs. He spends a lot of time right down in my lower abdomen at the moment and it's incredibly painful. I wish he'd move back up!

ChatterNatterer · 05/08/2016 08:27

fresh that's super early!

Hope your WC jab goes well northern

Kariana I don't break up til the 9th Sept when I am 36 weeks ;( Manager finally pulled his finger out and got my job advertised and wants to recruit for a thorough handover - seeing as we only interviewed this week I think he can whistle and I am not breaking my neck to get someone through all the HR stuff while he is on his annual 3 week August leave - have decided I'm going to try and not stress and just do what I can and its his mess as he sat on my recruitment for months! Grrrrr!

Afreshstartplease · 05/08/2016 09:00

House now reasonably tidy and clean in the bits that matter! Quite surprised how much I got done although DC did help a bit when chased with the hoover Having a five min chill and then I might continue once DC have all disappeared upstairs! If I ever manage to cool down that is, got a right sweat on!

Afreshstartplease · 05/08/2016 10:39

Well I didn't do anymore cleaning but did remember I had a £15 off at m+p code so just spent that!

Got a small cellular blanket, swaddle wrap and swaddle shell for under £14 inc delivery! Bargin! Bought a playmat from there last week which is being delivery today should have been £89 and I paid £41!

Anyone else had any good buys recently?

Afreshstart- youve inspired me to do more of my shopping online after i got thoroughly fed up traipsing the shops the other day... ill be googling that discount code ;)

I had my hospital check up this morning which turned out to be a bit more dramatic than anticipated. Went in at 0830 and am only just leaving now! Midwife couldnt get enough blood from me so had to take a couple of tries and send me into a bit of a fainting spree Blush so embarassing! Sent the ecg readings all wrong so ended up hooked up for ages. Had urine and swabs done to check for infection but nobody has really given me any results back from all of the tests theyve been doing! Im booked in with the consultant on wednesday so hoping for some more information then.... definitely going home to put my feet up amd eat something sugary now as my blood pressure was at 40 at one point Confused im never normally squeamish but there's a first time for everything!

April241 · 05/08/2016 14:10

northern my right baby has an anterior placenta and is head down but I find if I lie on my right I can feel them a lot more and often get painful rib jabs then, do you have a side which makes it easier to feel yours?

newmum hope you're feeling better now! What an ordeal ><

28weeks today and had the dentist, terrified of them!! All went well but I'm glad it's over. Walked home afterwards which would normally take me 10 minutes but it took about 20 minutes and I had to stop and sit on a wall for 5 mins to catch my breath. Getting about is really really difficult now.

Carpet shopping, again, tomorrow!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 05/08/2016 14:46

Newmum I hope you're feeling better.

Had GTT this morning - not the most pleasant - they couldn't find a vein so ended up having to take blood from my hand, which is now swollen and sore. DS has a cough and cold, and would only sleep cwtched up to me, so I've had about 3 hours sleep. DH did try to settle him but apparently only I would do. Could really do with a good nights sleep!

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Northernlight22 · 05/08/2016 14:47

April - Yeah I feel him on the right side or low down, I just have to pay attention to it as I don't get many jabs that catch me off guard!

I'm impressed you walked - most of the time now I jump in the car as I end up out of breath!

BlueberryMuffin85 · 05/08/2016 16:23

Afresh that's great bargains there from M&P I've been wondering what to spend my £15 voucher on think I might get a tummy time playmat as I feel like I pretty much have everything else covered.
Newmum and Schnitzel sending you CakeFlowers I hate blood being taken so can only sympathise the other day when I had mine done for iron levels the guy doing it looked about 12 which put me off and kept saying what good veins I have...why do they think this is a good thing to say when you've already warned them you may faint and hate having blood tests!! I have so much respect for anyone out there who gives blood, I wish I could get over the needle in vein phobia! x
