Oops know not no!

April I'm def starting to feel panicked the need to be prepared with hospital bags etc! Especially since the consultant mentioned induction due to elevated BP.

Sorry to hear about the carpet - we managed to get curtains today from Next after the 'pink' ones we ordered from Dunelm were quite clearly purple! Lol!

Afreshstartplease · 03/08/2016 06:24

No bag panicking here

Earliest I've gone into labour is 38 weeks so I feel like bag packed by 36 is organised!

Spd fucking awful in the night, plus sore arm from whooping cough = bad nights sleep and now got full day with 3DC

My exam is today. I have 4 hours and 45 minutes of exam, split into two papers - one 2hours 30, the other 2 hours 15. I have no idea how I'm going to sit still and concentrate for that amount of time, especially while being kicked in the bladder, which seems to be this baby's favourite thing to do. Oh well - will all be over this evening, one way or another.

Hope everyone else is well.

Afreshstartplease · 03/08/2016 08:53

Good luck SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum

I do hope you get a break in the middle!

Craving sleep so so badly. Childminder to 4 - 6 children every day. They never stopped yesterday, and neither did I! Oh so tired, and sore. My baby never stops moving, he's positively violent...I've got bruised ribs no joke!

Afreshstartplease · 03/08/2016 08:56

Oh no clank that doesn't sound fun, what are your working hours? I have 3 DC at home with me but they are all mine so I don't have to be on top form and entertain!

Good luck schnitzel!!!! You're amazing for even trying- most would shy out of it for fear of it not going how they want. So if nothing else you've achieved so much getting this far!!! Epic work lady, enjoy a relaxing evening x

ChatterNatterer · 03/08/2016 09:11

Good luck Krum Flowers

I feel the hip pain today fresh who knew you could ache like that from just lying bloody down Angry

Afreshstartplease · 03/08/2016 09:12

Dp kept putting his leg over me in the night which did not help! Pushing my crumbling bones together. Sad

8 - 6 starting to get a bit of life in me, made cakes, going to walk doggy then try and persuade them to watch a movie! The thing is, they are actually very happy just playing, but because they're not my children I feel like I need to have more to report than ' they played' if that makes sense! Getting b12 shots next week, am hoping they will give me more energy! Good luck schnitzel, that's a long time concentrating! You can do it! X

April241 · 03/08/2016 15:47

Good luck schnitzel!!

Hope youre feeling a bit better now fresh

We had a crazy thunderstorm this morning, I fell asleep at 1:30 finally and woke up at 2am with it, was so so so loud!! Me and the OH sat for half an hour just watching it.

Had another growth scan today, babies weighing 2lb 4oz each so I'm happy with that, seems on track. I was worried because I don't seem to be putting on loads of weight, 22lbs so far but theyre doing well so :)

Kariana · 03/08/2016 18:23

Hope all went well Schnitzel I struggle to go even an hour without going to the toilet but hopefully they let you have bathroom breaks.

Clank I really don't know how you do it. I'm finding an office job hard enough!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 03/08/2016 18:37

Well, exam's all done. It didn't go very well but at least I can forget about it for now - I don't get the results until the 30th. I had quite a lot of uncomfortable Braxton hicks during the second paper, which definitely didn't help. Sitting still all day also hasn't helped my SPD. Oh well, at least I can focus on getting ready for baby now!

EnoughAlready999 · 03/08/2016 19:50

I felt quite a bit better today, went outwith DD and my friend her little DS to the park etc. Then tackled my backlog of washing up, dropped my brother to the station and popped to Lidl. Doesn't sound like much but now my left hip and leg are hurting a lot. I usually sit around more so obviously not used to the extra activity. Don't know how you 'workers' do it!

My brother wants to go camping at the end of the month but I don't think I can give up my comfy bed. Overslept this morning and missed my WC jab at 8.45 - oops!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 03/08/2016 22:49

Didn't see all the posts earlier - thanks for the luck everyone!

Tallblue · 04/08/2016 06:40

Well done schnitzel, whatever the outcome at least it's done now!

Had my WC jab yesterday and my arm really hurt afterwards. That would be fine but today I've woken with sore achy joints and feel like my legs are full of concrete. Nearly kept DC1 off nursery as couldn't face the nursery run, but figured it was worth it in the long run to get a few hours to continue with unpacking, following our house move last week.

The move was horribly stressful, I think my expectations of how long it would take to get the new place sorted were way too high. We'll still be unpacking boxes in a few months time the way things are going.

DD (nearly 2yrs) has been particularly challenging and become very clingy and cranky which has been hard to manage. I had a bit of a meltdown last night after she went to bed. I think my husband is finally starting to realize I'm not coping very well at the moment. He's promised to come home from work early and take DD out for a few hours. I'm planning to ignore the unpacking and just sleep!

Sorry for the rant but it's very cathartic...

To all those with house moves still to do before baby arrives, I send you Cake and Flowers in advance!

Newmum90 · 04/08/2016 06:56

Tallblue - well done for getting through it andnthsnks for the cake. Weve got ours next weekend god help us!

I started getting some bits and pieces together for my hospital bag yesterday after our "broken waters" incident on friday. The shops were so busy and the traffic was horrendous really glad im doing it now and not when im any further down the line - my feet are still sore this morning! It was actually very exciting picking out all the stuff im going to need for the big event! Very odd picking out the nightie i plan to wear having our future son!

In some ways the little fright has made me appreciate the pregnancy time i have left more. I have spent a huge amount of pre-friday pregnancy time complaining about being fat and uncomfortable and telling the world i cant wait to meet my baby/ get my body back. Our little scare at the weekend has made me realise how precious this time is and how much i want to keep my little one inside safely for as long as possible! Whats more ... im making the most of our "couple" time now i realise it might be the last for a while!

Im gonna make up my hospital playlist today and do some more packing.

Hope everybodu else is keeping well! Xx

MrsMKJ · 04/08/2016 08:04

Ahh newmum, just the words of wisdom we all need! You're so right, we are so lucky to be in the position we are- able to grow lovely little babies. It is a time to be treasured. Thanks for that uplifting message on a dreary Thursday!

Kariana · 04/08/2016 08:43

Tallblue I think I'm unrealistic in how quickly I think we'll be settled as well, especially as I'm definitely starting to slow down now. Sounds like your dd is struggling with the change as well, I'm glad I don't have a toddler to cope with during the move and definitely making a mental note not to repeat this scenario if we're lucky enough to have another dc! Cake for you and I hope she settles quickly!

April241 · 04/08/2016 08:43

tallblue good luck with the rest of your house move! We moved at the beginning of June and it's only now things are beginning to take shape, there's boxes everywhere! Can't wait till it's all finished Flowers

newmum so exciting getting your hospital bag all packed! And such lovely wise words! I said to my OH the other night that in a way I think I'll be a wee bit sad on delivery day because the babies are going to be here which is fantastic obviously, but it means I can't keep them safe from everything anymore. I like that just now nothing and nobody in the big bad world can hurt them.

EnoughAlready999 · 04/08/2016 09:06

We moved at in April and it was horrible. Still got boxes hanging around now. Wanted to get a bath fitted asap as we only have a shower but couldn't really afford it Sad

Had my bloods done last week - I take it they contact you if there is a problem but otherwise you hear nothing?

I don't know what to buy as a hospital bag - any suggestions?

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 04/08/2016 09:29

I definitely don't think I could handle moving at the moment - the thought of decorating is bad enough! Definitely don't envy the ladies moving before babies arrive!

I have the GTT tomorrow - really not looking forward to it. I can remember it making me feel ill last time - I'm not good without food for long periods!

Northernlight22 · 04/08/2016 09:32

Hospital bag is the next thing on my list but I'm in denial on that at the mo and waiting a few more weeks 🙈

Really achy yesterday as spend most of the day sat - my coccyx felt as though it was "clicking" last night when I was sat on an uncomfy chair in a restaurant which wasn't good!

WC jab tomorrow, but other than that nothing to report. No real pattern to babies movements yet, and as placenta is anterior a lot of the time I really have to concentrate to feel anything (unless he starts going mental and kicking me!) although I now get more of a rolling sensation when he must be shuffling about.

Definitely agree about "couple" time - I got a bit teary the other night when I realised these next few weeks are the last few weeks I'll have with just DH before the chaos and the new adventure starts. Got some nice days out and a weekend away planned to enjoy the last of this time (although considering how achy I get they might not end up that enjoyable haha)

April241 · 04/08/2016 09:38

enough I have the BabyMoov baby style bag (I think that's it's name) which is a really good size. It comes with a changing mat, little pouch for dummies, blanket and a pouch for dirty clothes. My OH has a "man bag" for daddy days as he refuses to carry the BabyMoov bag Grin
