Hi all! Only just joined but it's great to read back through some of these posts; reassuring to know I'm experiencing much the same as everyone else!

EDD is 18th December (already changed once from 23rd). We're Team Yellow. First baby and very excited!

To join in with some of the other discussions: I've got a Moses basket and a baby bath (bought at an amazing price from a colleague) but waiting to get everything else until after the 20w scan.

Also been driven MAD by all the negative "you'll be so tired" comments - I completely agree that practical advice would be much more appreciated Wink

Had my check-up today at 16w+5. All OK; couldn't listen to the heartbeat though as apparently their machine won't pick one up until after 20w (!)

Hope everyone is enjoying the start of the weekend!

Had my window to the womb scan this evening - were team pink!!!! I'm so excited!

SpaceDinosaur · 08/07/2016 20:36

Is that wine?!!

Is it delicious?!!

Is it for sharing?!! Grin

Very very happy wedding weekend dreaming. I hope that it's utterly wonderful!

Bigfam · 08/07/2016 20:46

Oh doughnut, if it is indeed wine I'm very very jealous. I'm now changing my shopping for tomorrow, I ordered 0% cobra beer, but I think I'll be a bit naughty and swap it for fosters radler cut with lemon it's only 2%!

Bigfam · 08/07/2016 20:48

firawla congrats! Team pink too! Did they show you a sneak peek in 4d?! I'm still debating whether to book a proper one at around 28 weeks...

DartmoorDoughnut · 08/07/2016 20:52

It is indeed a delicious cold glass of The Ned Sauvignon Blanc Happy to share, pass your glasses!

Congrats firawla Grin

For those that are feeling movements are you feeling them all the time baby was moving all the time week 16 but ive not felt a thing for 2 days and I'm totally panicking I rang the midwife and she said don't worry but how does she know without examining me.

BowSurprise · 08/07/2016 21:57

Beccia I haven't felt regular movement either. Am sure I felt some moves last week but haven't had anything since and think that's quite normal this early on.

I've been out to dinner and had my first glass of wine. Can feel the effects and my stomach aches so feeling a bit guilty now.

TipBoov · 08/07/2016 22:04

No mines not regular either - sometimes it's a couple of times a day, other times nothing at all. I think it's to be expected, and that's why you aren't supposed to count the kicks until the 3rd trimester.

StubbleTurnips · 08/07/2016 22:39

Bow I had a glass of red last weekend, it was lovely with dinner! Hope you enjoyed it!

becciandbump · 08/07/2016 23:45

bowsuprise thanks, I had half a glass of red wine on tues and felt guilty after too!

Bigfam · 09/07/2016 06:02

I get a few pokes some days and others non at all so there's no consistency, I think when I start to feel a pattern to her movements I'll be happier.

Had bleeding after sex last night (or this morning depending on how you look at it) I know that is what caused it but it's still scary to see fresh red blood Sad

Nojo82 · 09/07/2016 12:33

I'm getting impatient waiting on movement. I'm 15+3 so not long. When did everyone feel movement? Had my mw appointment yesterday, babys heartbeat was very strong so that's reassuring..

goinggrey1978 · 09/07/2016 13:00

I'm getting lots of emails about sales, mothercare, babies r us atm, also next sale starts 16/7/16 anyone that's ready to bag a bargain!!

firawla · 09/07/2016 13:14

Ooh next sale! Thanks grey I'll look out for that

bigfam yes they showed us some 4d, I've never had that before so was quite cool! Not massively clear features at 16 weeks though but good to see Grin

Bigfam · 09/07/2016 14:44

firawla that's why I was thinking of booking one in at 28 weeks, they look amazing and last a bit longer too... We'll see nearer the time Grin

shopaholic85 · 09/07/2016 15:05

Hi all, just checking back in to say thank you to whoever posted the discount code for window to the womb. We had a gender reveal scan last week and very happy to be joining team pink. It was lovely to watch my husband fall head over heels in love with our little girl. I can't wait to meet her now!

I'm 18+2 and not feeling movement yet, but did start leaking colostrum today. I didn't expect it this early, but a quick Google search tells me it can start as early as 14 weeks. Is anyone else having this? Any recs for breast pads?

We are holding off buying baby stuff until we move into our new house in September, but these sales seem too good to ignore!

Bigfam · 09/07/2016 15:16

That was me shopaholic85, did you see baby in 4d as well? I was saying to firawla it's amazing! Welcome to team pink Grin

shopaholic85 · 09/07/2016 16:37

Thanks BigFam! We got a 4D peek during the scan, which was the best part. We've watched the DVD repeatedly since. I'm also considering getting a full 4D one around 28 weeks, but will probably get that done at our hospital. They have new software, so imagine the quality will be high. Our next scan is at 20+5, which feels like ages away, so glad we had this to break up the wait.

SouthDownsSunshine · 09/07/2016 17:37

We got our first present for the new baby yesterday - a really beautiful blanket knitted by a 90 year old in my mum's sewing circle :)

goinggrey1978 · 09/07/2016 18:55

Ahh bless, I have a knitted white and lemon blanket from one of my friends, I'm going to visit her during the summer and a crocheted white, lemon and green blanket coming from a very close friend too, plus my auntie and mum are both knitting, already have 2 hats and a cardigan from my mum, she's moved on to mittens and booties now, there's also a very special and very old coming home from hospital cardigan that is going to be passed to bu bubble to wear when it comes out of hospital and I'm sure any other babies will also get the privilege to wear too!!

Bigfam · 09/07/2016 19:49

Oh how lovely that you pass down a special cardigan goinggrey , what a beautiful idea!
I love knitted blankets cardi's etc. I'm hoping I've still got the contact details of a lady who knitted some beautiful bits for dd3, she even did gorgeous little dresses.

goinggrey1978 · 09/07/2016 21:57

i can't knit and i doubt my brothers will be learning anytime soon either, so my mum's going to be very busy, i'm not at all girly!! luckily i have lots of fabulous close friends that can knit and crochet when my children have children or hopefully my parents are still around to supply more knitted baby clothes!

englishgirl · 09/07/2016 22:12

Our neighbour knitted us lots of lovely cardigans and a blanket before we were even expecting! Very sweet of her and I just love knitted things.

Got our 20wk scan in just over 2 weeks, I can't wait we are hoping to find out what we are having.

Congratulations to everyone who has had there scan etc!
