hanbeth yes I think I can handle the pace of this thread much better than previous ones Grin

I also don't feel pregnant and I'm 19 weeks now. My bump is there but it expands so much after meals I worry its just a massive food baby. My natural sleeping position is on my front and I can't do that anymore so theres enough real bump to make me avoid it I suppose. Got my anomaly scan next week which I can't wait for.

Anyone else gotten ridiculously tired??? Ive had a few bad nights with DC1 but nothing I can't normally cope with. I have more blood tests to check iron levels tomorrow and im expecting them to have improved a lot which will be good of course. But I was hoping to feel like a Duracell bunny once they'd gone up again so ill be a bit disappointed too!

vixx I'll stick with you on the thread Wink

Vixxfacee · 22/08/2016 16:37

Magpie I'm glad you are still here! The Feb thread is so busy.

Hanbeth we have the same due date! It's strange how there's a baby in there.

Sticking- did you start showing earlier as this isn't your first? I'm always tired and try to have a nap during the day!

vixarooni · 22/08/2016 20:54

I feel quite pregnant at 20 weeks. Funny how we all journey so differently isn't it!

I went to a Greek wedding last night, very strange not having some booze!! We got in at quarter to midnight and then I had to get up three times for a wee in the night Sad tried to have a mini lay in till 7:30 this morn but work was a bit of a killer!!

Has anyone got food cravings yet?

thisisbloodyridiculous · 22/08/2016 21:18

vixarooni me too - I feel really pregnant (& look it) at 20wks!

MagpieCursedTea · 22/08/2016 21:51

I'm looking and feeling pretty pregnant too! I'm not sure I felt like this at 20 weeks the first time around though. I worked ridiculous hours back then and there's no way I could've managed that this time.

Vixa all my food cravings are based around the foods I can't have because of the GD. I'm compiling a big list of everything I'm going to eat once the baby is born!

vixarooni · 22/08/2016 22:29

What a bum!! My SIL has it and is injecting herself now. I feel for you and her, can't be much fun.

I'm not craving anything. I just keep eating (which I may come to regret!)

Imstickingwiththisone · 22/08/2016 22:33

Tbh vixx I've no idea when I started to show with first pregnancy. I only took a couple of bump pics and theyre on a memory stick somewhere. I went on holiday when I was 11 weeks and a short time after I POAS I envisaged I would be huge by then as its a second pregnancy but im another 8 weeks on and still not quite there yet.
rooni no way has the all night seeing started for you or did you just get carried away on the soda water?
Funny how you wish for these things and then when the bump arrives ill be moaning about bloat and being uncomfortable. The same applies for the kicks which will soon be keeping us awake all night!

Since this is anonymous and all I might just put this out there, but does anyone get an achey fanny at all? I waitress and my fanny and legs really throb at the end of a shift. I only mention my legs to colleagues but in my head I'm screaming 'my fucking fanny!' Grin

hels18 · 23/08/2016 09:34

I've just started to take bump photos as there is a little something starting to form (finally, at 18+ 3!), although it definitely pops out more after I have eaten! I like looking through the bump photos on the facebook group, as everyone's bumps are so different, and it is nice to see that everyone develops at totally different rates.

I have started feeling a little something every now and again, although no regular movements yet. Other than feeling totally exhausted most afternoons and evenings, I am not feeling very pregnant! I have been getting the odd migraine and some lower back ache that has been quite painful, but the sickness has stopped completely now which is great.

I have been sleeping with a long pillow that has been supporting my back, as it is uncomfortable to lay on my side. It's helping, but I definitely need to get used to it.

I am loving all the baby events going on at the moment, but I am resisting buying most things, just doing research on what I actually need. As a first time mum, it is quite overwhelming seeing he amount of things that there is available!

Vixxfacee · 23/08/2016 11:58

Sticking- no achey fanny for me yet!

Hels I feel the same I don't really feel pregnant. I am desperate to feel some movement! What baby events have you been too?

Hanbeth84 · 23/08/2016 12:37

I feel the same way Hels18 and wanted to go to a Mamas and Papas baby event on sunday but had a family do to attend. There's so much nice stuff I could get carried away. Also, I like all the 'stylish' grey and white stuff but i'm thinking should I get more stimulating bright colours. It's the millions of travel systems that really confuse me!

Sticking, i'm not terribly itchy but not on my feet as much as it sounds like you are. My theory would be that we have more blood pumping around and its pooling in your legs and fanny and making it throb. On a similar note I had one of the worst nights last night as i started bleeding quite a lot. I was willing bambino to kick me hard (they tried, i got flutters) to know they were alright. I did think it more an issue with me not them. Just been to docs and yep got a cut. Assume it bled so much because theres more blood. Embarrasing but so relieved.

hels18 · 23/08/2016 15:53

There have been a couple of NCT nearly new sales in my local town, and every time I walk into a supermarket all the offers hit me! I seem to be on every baby shops mailing list already too, no idea how they all got the details!

I have to say, I am pretty pleased I have a desk job. Apart from meetings and lunches out, I am not walking about too much. I do feel for all those expecting that have to be on your feet all day!

Janubub · 23/08/2016 17:20

I'm on my feet most of the day - so far no problems but dreading hitting around the 30 week mark..!

I've not posted much as feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole pregnancy. Don't get me wrong this is a very much planned for and wanted baby and I certainly didn't expect insecurities as I'm generally a quite confident, though quiet, person.

But the last week or two I've been worrying about everything from the meaningful ("will I love my baby?" "will I be a good mum?" "will this change our [DH &I] relationship?") to the insignificant ("will I be able to get fit again?", "will I ever look good in my clothes again?" "will I be able to keep my house tidy?" Blush).

Not sure what's causing it, guess reality is hitting...Sad

Vixxfacee · 23/08/2016 18:40

Janu I think that's normal?

I mostly worry about something happening to the baby but just lately I have been thinking about my relationship alot and if I will be a good mum. I was driving through Hampstead earlier and looking at the mansion. I actually felt sad and guilty that my baby wouldn't be living in a mansion! I feel a bit silly now.

This is a massive life changing event!

thisisbloodyridiculous · 23/08/2016 20:08

Janu I've been the same lately I think it's my hormones Confused not that knowing that helps!
I'm half excited half worried about 20wk scan in the morning - always worry something will go wrong. It's normal though I think+

Imstickingwiththisone · 23/08/2016 22:00

Thanks hanbeth a bit of me worries it's a prolapse but I like your logical reasoning. Must've been very scary, I'm glad you got the all clear quickly.

janubub I think everyone experiences what you're describing to some degree. Im a very laid back person and wanted DC but for a long time after finding out I had conceived I was in a state of 'what have we done?'. Its life changing and the unknown is frightening. I feel it a bit with #2 too because I know about the sleeplessness and exhaustion, plus I feel like DC1's life is about to be turned upside down and that makes me sad.

hels18 · 24/08/2016 12:49

Janubub I am exactly the same! So many of my friends that already have children seemed to breeze through pregnancy and are brilliant mums, and I am wondering why I am not enjoying pregnancy so much and hung up with all the 'what if's' after the baby is born. I still can't even keep a rose plant alive Blush, although at least the baby will cry to let me know to feed it!!

However, my crazy organisation and endless spreadsheets seem to be keeping me in control at the moment :)

Just under 2 weeks until my next scan and feeling surprisingly calm about it. Now I have felt some wriggling and because we aren't finding out the gender, I am not as worried about it as I was before the 12 week one.

MagpieCursedTea · 24/08/2016 15:15

I think it's quite normal to have some anxiety in pregnancy. It's a big, life changing thing, it's natural to have concerns. If it becomes overwhelming or interferes with daily life etc then it's probably worth speaking to someone as prenatal anxiety is something midwives etc can support you with.

Just a quick note to say that's if anyone else wants to join the FB group can you message myself or EvansAndThePrince please. It was agreed to have a deadline on membership (as people are getting to know each other etc). Hope everyone is okay with that! I completely understand if anyone is waiting until after their 20 week scan though, just let us know. Thanks!

Pregnancy hormones are bubbling over and I am angry, really angry!

Train home last night very delayed and desperately needed the loo. No train toilets working and almost missed bake off.

Husband came home very late and rather drunk, snored all night, and I got no sleep so shouted at him this morning and left the house without him.

Stranger at the station this morning smashed his bike into me while carrying it down the stairs and I was going up. Proceeded to shout and swear at him for almost breaking my hand as I got no apology from him.

Work politics now escalating and I am feeling the anger rise at me again. Will seriously snap today as I have zero patience left!

How I wish I could have a very strong gin and tonic :)

Vixxfacee · 25/08/2016 10:05

Hels sorry it's been so crap! I feel the same
Getting pissed off and can feel my blood boiling!
Hopefully you can do something nice this weekend.

thisisbloodyridiculous · 25/08/2016 10:10

Oh hels that is a seriously crappy series of events! CakeBrew here's something you can have. Hope your luck starts to pick up x

hels18 · 25/08/2016 10:13

Thank, am just being dramatic. You know when everything builds up and you just snap.. urgh! I need sleep :)

hopingandwaiting · 26/08/2016 19:13

Oh my. Sorry that lots of you are feeling grumpy with hormones!

Got back from a week in Turkey where I've done nothing but relax and eat and spend time with DP. I was so chilled out that my little one has taken to shuffling about and poking and prodding me regularly - it's gotten so strong that DP can feel it, and my mum felt it last night! Only 18+5 so was hesitant when I first felt movements at around 17 weeks, but there's no denying them now!! It's totally amazing and has relaxed me no end! Getting very excited about seeing it again and finding out Smile

Vixxfacee · 26/08/2016 19:38

Hels how are you feeling today?

Hoping that must have been a nice break. That's lovely that you can feel proper movements.

I'm 18.1 and can't feel nothing here apart from this morning when lying on the sofa I thought I could feel a lump where the baby was and it felt quite tender. Disappeared 5 minutes later. Can't wait to start feeling even flutters!

MagpieCursedTea · 26/08/2016 20:56

I understand the hormonal rage! I take a lot of baths and have acupuncture but the rage still rises sometimes.
Hoping sounds like you had a fab holiday!
Anyone else planning any getaways before the babies? I know this is come up before but my memory is terrible. We had a babymoon last time (only in Cardiff but we stayed in a posh hotel and it was lovely), not sure we'll manage to go anywhere this time as DH is so busy with work (I'll be lucky if he takes time off when the baby is born) and it's not quite as relaxing with a toddler anyway.
