Thread #7 - TTC#1 Grads - Third Trimester Special

PotatosMum · 01/06/2016 12:38

It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

I love how we're all in the maternity uniform of black and white stripes. Everyone's looking great Smile Yeah, I'd say we're about the same size Miley - we both got our bfps on the same day I seem to remember so definitely sticking together still!

Love that scan Danni - proper kissy lips there, what an amazing picture.

Indi - that outfit is lovely! I am currently sat with about £45 worth of stuff in a basket on the Zara site. I have got to stay strong and close the tab!!

I'm going to bankrupt us buying her clothes when she's here if I'm this impressionable already Blush

PotatosMum · 18/06/2016 18:44

Bunch thanks for the direction to Amazon. I've found the perfect tree. It's a white silver birch with yellow leaves and white doves. It should look amazing once we've painted the nursery grey. Can't wait! I just want to move already!!!! Grin

Hi ladies

Some lovely bump pictures today! My only stipey maternity outfit is packed for holiday so I can't participate!

Lovely scan Dannii!!

Congratulations on 30 weeks Potato. Deadpool was good - I didn't enjoy it as much as other Marvel films but worth a watch provided you don't mind a bit of gore!

We've collected our pram today. OH was like a child in a sweet shop putting it all together! Really pleased with our choice though.

We're off on our hols tomorrow morning, so I'll probably be put of contact for a week. Hope everyone has good weeks!

Mileymoocow · 18/06/2016 20:09

irregular yes we did! With indi following very closely behind I believe. I'm going to browse baby Zara now but can't buy anything more until I know what we're having! I'm going to be pushing like hell I'm so excited to find out. Wonder if any of our babas will have the same birthday Smile

pink I hope you have a wonderful time!

Lots of excitement on here today, hope everyone is feeling good.

IndiX · 18/06/2016 20:15

Yep I'm just a few days behind you girls irregular and miley, I know it's going to be strange once we are close to everyone's due dates and waiting for news and photos of our new arrivals!

IndiX · 18/06/2016 20:15

Pink have a great holiday!

BunchOfBobs · 18/06/2016 20:18

Have an amazing holiday Pink.

Gorgeous buys irregular.

I've just added another name to the list. We both really like it, don't know if I prefer Atticus or not but now also loving Zephyr. Thoughts?

Miley I keep dreaming when Pip is born turns out he's a girl even though it was VERY obvious he's a boy. Confused

Danni89 · 18/06/2016 20:20

Thanks pink... Have a lovely holiday... Not at all jealousWinkGrin

IndiX · 18/06/2016 20:21

Bunch I had that EXACT dream 2 nights ago, Beanie came out as a boy and then I got really bad baby blues as I was so in shock. Strange pregnancy hormones!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/06/2016 20:32

Lovely pics guys! I'll participate when I've got an actual bump and not just a 'she had a big dinner' pouch!

I remember a few people were looking at the mothercare cossato giggle toodle pip dealio. Did anyone buy it? Do they like it? I've decided, as it's on offer till end of July, and my 20 week scan is beginning of July, if all is well, I'm going to order it, and it will be my first baby related purchase.

Mileymoocow · 18/06/2016 20:33

I do love a good nut job preggo hormone dream Grin pretty sure of the say he's a boy, he's definitely a boy so you're safe bunch! Also I was told that these days they won't tell you a gender if they're not absolutely sure so I'm pretty positive all will be well. I'd say about 80% of people I've spoken to think I'm having a girl.

bunch zephyr is a very cool name! I think I prefer atticus (marginally) but they're both fantastic.

Mileymoocow · 18/06/2016 20:36

stark I seriously considered it and potato bought it (and someone else but my crap memory fails me). It's an amazing deal and has fantastic reviews Grin only reason we didn't get it was because it wasn't all terrain which we definitely needed for walking the dog.

PotatosMum · 18/06/2016 20:48

Pink have a lovely holiday Smile

Stark I've got the mothercare giggle 2 and I love it! I was so impressed when I made it up and OH was waking it around the living room saying how nice it was to steer... Plus, it's just to cute!! Grin

The pain in my inner thigh muscles is getting stupid now. Every time I stand up I'm crippled for a few moments before I can move Sad I'm assuming it's the pregnancy hormones making my muscles all lose in that area but I think I'm going to have to mention it to the midwife next time I see her. I'm actually putting off going to the loo because it's too much like hard work Blush

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/06/2016 21:10

Aww brilliant potato Grin I'm pleased. We're not finding out what we're having so it seems like a good either/or depending on what is ejected from my womb and dh thought it was "cool as balls with all the clicking and shit" I think he means how it fits together! Smile

LisaTheSimpson · 18/06/2016 21:16

Hi everyone!

Sorry, I've been crazy busy at work these last few days so I am VERY behind with the thread. Trying to catch up now. Some random comments:

Bunch and Miley - I had no idea some dogs eat raw meat! I think I would have automatically assumed that would be unhealthy or would give them food poisoning. You learn something every day...

Shelb - I copied your salad for lunch today (think it was you?) that you put a photo of. It was so awesome. I used a LOT of cheese on the top....

Potato - yay for the mortgage! I'm so pleased for you, well done! And congrats for 30 weeks!

Evergreen - great news about the scan! I have everything crossed for you that you see your bean and heartbeat at the next one x

Miley - yes to the back pain. It's come on in the last few days and I've been surprised as I thought I was too early for it (24+5 today). So much fun being preggers... Sorry you've got it too x (and Lauren and Irregular)

Lauren - hope your bottom is better! Also, your cat is adorable, all snuggled up with your DH!

Pink - they charged you for changing the letter when THEY made the mistake? That completely takes the piss Angry

Bunch and Miley - your grandmothers sound lovely and hilarious! Mine apparently got really mardy when we didn't find out the sex and has been bitching about us to the rest of the family... Hmm

Irregular - lovely bump pic! I think pregnancy bumps look great in stripes! (Edit: and stripey Miley and Bunch, too!)

Starky - welcome back! Hope you had a lovely holiday. We liked the Cosatto and really considered it given the current sale price, but it won't work for us as we are limited to what car seat we can get (due to our car).

Also, to those talking about Sterling/Townsend - we named one of our cats Townsend (after Andros), so I definitely wanted him to be taken to France! (Not Newcastle fans - it was back when he was a Spurs player)

I also want a tree sticker! I've seen some good ones on notonthehighstreet that I need to research more.

(Sorry for long post!)

LisaTheSimpson · 18/06/2016 21:19

And sorry if I've missed anything/anyone!

Pinklily1 · 18/06/2016 21:49

Yep Lisa, they totally took the piss. Apparently we should have been charged for the first (incorrect) letter as well and charging for the notes is standard practice. I'm writing a complaint when we get back.

Bunch, I like zephyr, and it's different (a good thing), but personally I would go with Atticus because I love it! OH suggested we name our daughter Esmerelda Hmm Surprisingly enough, I said no!

LisaTheSimpson · 18/06/2016 22:19

Pink - what about Esmé though? That could be nice?

Pinklily1 · 18/06/2016 22:29

I quite like Esme but it's a character in Twilight, so OH won't have it, and it also seems very popular at the minute.

We have a short list, but keep teasing each other suggesting new ones that we know the other one won't like. I look on the baby names board for the wackiest ones I can find Smile

StarkyTheDirewolf · 18/06/2016 23:15

We're struggling a bit namewise. We're throwing some back and forth. Need to build the list up a bit before we can shortlist! Grin our most sensible ones are either a bit weird or completely unworkable.

For example I love Aramynta. But it does NOT work in a broad Manc accent.Grin "Aramintoh! Come 'ere! Stop messin' will ya?"

LisaTheSimpson · 19/06/2016 07:49

Starky, that made me giggle! I'm just imagining someone saying that now!

Good morning everyone! Hope people have lovely, relaxing plans for today x

IndiX · 19/06/2016 08:08

Morning ladies,
Not in the best of moods. Been up since 4am as I'm still staying at my mums and my Nan phoned the house at 4am saying she was ill and going to hospital. I love my nan but she is a major hyperchondriac and does this quite often. She has since been discharged and she's all fine ( which we knew). I'm more annoyed for my mum as she has to work today, I'm bloody knackered though and wanted to get stuff done today but feel like a zombie. Aaarghh!

PotatosMum · 19/06/2016 08:24

Morning ladies, how are we all today?

I'm shattered! Potato has decided that fidgeting until gone 11 is acceptable Hmm
Someone at work the other day told me that you should keep track of the times baby is most active as that is the most likely time you'll give birth... I hope not as this means I'll give birth either first thing in the morning or the middle of the night Shock

Stark lol at your OH Smile we didn't know if we were having a girl or a boy when we bought ours and were also thinking that it'll work either way. Smile with so many of us getting that travel system we'll have to have to all post pictures of them being used after our wrigglers have arrived!! Grin

Your name woes made me laugh! The name we've chosen can be pronounced a couple of ways and because I come from Berkshire and OH comes from Wiltshire we both pronounce it differently Confused

Pink I think I prefer Atticus but I actually like Esmerelda too Blush your OH does know that Esme is the shortening of Esmerelda, right?

Indi that sounds really annoying with your Nan. Is she maybe a bit lonely?

Does anyone have any nice plans for today? I think we're just having a quiet one. We need to visit my mum, the DSC want to see OH and give him his Father's Day present and we had best go and give OHs dad his card. I also need to do a load of work on my online course as I think the assignment is now due... And I still haven't sorted my hospital bag. Maybe I'll wait until next week when I finish work.
Feeling really weird about going on maternity leave now. I've worked non-stop since I was 15... Being off work for so long feels wrong somehow. I'm sure I'll get over it though Wink
