It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

Woohoo Potato, that's great news about the mortgage! You must be so relieved Smile

Yay for seeing the bean Ever! About your scan date, have you booked in with your midwife yet? Similar to you, I was going away at 13 weeks and called the antenatal clinic to organise the scan and explained why I needed it that week. They were fine about it. They can't do the combined screening under or over a certain gestation (I think 11-14 weeks) so you might need a repeat scan if you were less far along than you think? No harm in asking anyway.

Congratulations on selling your flat DrWhy! I really want either a next to me or a Snuzpod. You've also reminded me that the spa at my gym does pregnancy massages-definitely going to book one as a little treat to myself!

Glad your inlaws decided to keep their germs to themselves Bunch! Vomiting bug is the last thing you need right now.

Thanks for pointing out the Mothercare event Pink I've signed up to go to one next Wednesday. I don't think we'll get any of the big stuff yet. We'll see!

Glad it was just your bottom Lauren! I've had that too, terrifying isn't it?

Hope you have a lovely holiday Pink!

Lol at your grandma Miley!!

Who else is rushing out to buy bananas after hearing about Bunch's Nicecream?! I could really do with eating fewer magnums so this will be a godsend! Blush

Evergreen17 · 18/06/2016 09:28

Elle I am meeting my midwife on Friday for an early appointment (I will be 6 weeks then) and then I will send the scan booking form

Do you mean that if they ask me to come lets say on the 3rd of August and they date me only 10 weeks or so that then they will say ok you need to come in two weeks and therefore I have to cancel my holidays? So that basically I wont know now but until the scan itself?

Thanks Smile

shelbTa · 18/06/2016 09:42

Morning!

Ever - do you know which hospital you'll be at? I'd ring them and explain and try and get a date that suits you now in advance?

Congrats on 30 potato! I'll be joining you on Monday, 30 was a real milestone for me too, like I'd be properly having a baby soon then! Tea was waffles and beans and scampi - rubbish.

Uuhhhhh, bad stomach ache and nausea today ladies, it probably isn't but I'm regretting that hollandaise now :-(

X

BunchOfBobs · 18/06/2016 09:48

Ever your manager cannot refuse you time off work for pregnancy related appointments. You're legally entitled to them. Also if they date you 10 weeks you have until 14 weeks to get the combined screening done. You shouldn't need to cancel your hols then.it also depends on if you want the combined screening. If not there's no issue having the scan early/late.

Congrats on week 39 Potato. I'm 32 today eek, 8 week countdown. My hospital bag is done apart from my coming home outfit needs packing, Pips sleepsuits need washing and I need to get my nursing bras but can't get measured until 37 weeks apparently.

Mileymoocow · 18/06/2016 10:02

ever from one anxiety sufferer to another, I know how difficult this can be for you. Explain everything to your midwife if she books your scans, or if not have a word with your antenatal clinic. I've found them to be very accommodating so you should have no problems. You will have a booking in appt at 8 weeks so you can discuss it then

ElleSarcasmo · 18/06/2016 10:52

Ever just to echo what Bunch said, you can get the combined screening up to 14 weeks so should be ok after your holidays? You've got a lot going on at the moment and pregnancy seems to be an anxiety magnet too Sad. It's great that you are seeing your midwife this week as she should be able to reassure you about everything.

Evergreen17 · 18/06/2016 11:07

Thanks Shelb I am at East Surrey and you can only book with a form (I might add a very polite note to it Confused)

Thanks Bunch. I was planning to tell work after the scan but if this is needed then I will do before. My manager is new to the organisation (annoying) so I will probably have to explain maternity rules if she refuses... Awkward
I do want the combined screening yes . I might have to wait and see dates later on then.

Thanks Miley I am hoping my midwife is nice and helpful because of my mental health history Blush

Elle and Bunch I would be mid week 13 when I go on hols and mid week 15 when I am back (according to lmp)

Is this combined screening possible to do at 12 weeks?

Ok so I shall worry about that after chatting to the midwife and just hope that everything goes well with my bean Smile

Thank you Smile

Canters15 · 18/06/2016 11:08

No words of advice beyond what has already been said ever but yes to pregnancy being an anxiety management!

Unfortunately I don't have any friends or relatives locally so no one to come to mother care with me. I could go on my own, but, ironically I find baby shopping a bit anxiety inducing and can't bring myself to look at things if dh isn't there. Weird I know.

On call today and have to drive 45 mins to do a tedious job which should have been sorted by the day team but hasn't. Grrrr. I know this is kinda what I'm paid for but it doesn't stop me finding it highly irritating!

Canters15 · 18/06/2016 11:08

Anxiety magnet, not management!

Evergreen17 · 18/06/2016 12:21

Thank you allSmile
I have to take it one day at a time and not always think about the worst possible scenario
Must get my CBT book out Smile

IrregularCommentary · 18/06/2016 13:05

It's not raining! (Yet, at least. Showers are forecast...)

Sorry far today I have done nothing other than lounge in bed, drink a cup of tea brought up by DH and have a shower. I'm now trying to decide what sort of breakfast treat I want to get from the shops. Definitely feeling rested and happy!

Hope you're all having good days so far too.

Also, bump pic at 24+2 Smile

Really really can't wait to meet my lil man... So inlove already!

Feefeefs · 18/06/2016 15:51

I was 12 weeks exactly on my scan date ever and they were able to do the combined screening. I think if you explain you're getting married they'll take that into consideration as much as they can.

DrWhy · 18/06/2016 16:28

Ever my husband was going away at 12+2 for 9 weeks and I was really keen for him to come to the scan. I explained to the midwife at my booking appointment and she said she couldn't guarantee it but would do her best. We booked a private scan just in case and they actually got us in the day before he left. I'm sure they will do what they can for you but if it's in your budget and would relieve the stress you could book a private scan and harmony/NIPT test at a convenient time and date for you.
Potato so glad the mortgage is sorted.
Bunch glad the ill in-laws stayed away!
Elle the masseuse I saw works at an osteopath clinic so she warned me that is was a treatment massage rather than a relaxing one! It was brilliant though, the best £38 I have spent in months! I wonder if I can get DH to agree to me having them regularly!

PotatosMum · 18/06/2016 16:31

Dr i know it's insane to think how quickly this year has gone Confused
Shame you're going to have to give up training now but it's best to listen to your body.

Ever don't worry about the scan. My department were really flexible, if you get a date you can't do just ring them up and tell them the situation, they'll be able to squeeze you in somewhere Smile
If you have a history of anxiety or mental health problems your midwife will note it and possibly book you in with a councillor, mine offered because I'd recently been signed off with stress due to my mum being ill.

Shelb I've been having trouble with stomach ache all week. I think it's just another delightful T3 symptom Sad

eee Bunch not long now!!! Grin you're due to be the first to pop aren't you?

Canters that's a shame you won't be able to get anyone to go with you to mothercare Sad

Irregular lovely bump Smile

Ooo Dannie you have 3D, that's amazing. I bet it feels so good being able to see him like that Grin

Been out all day wafting around looking at DIY shops and getting packing stuff. Now sat with a big bag of strawberry laces and my sewing.

As predicted OH wants to paint the whole house shades of grey Confused but ironically I've decided to paint the nursery which I have veto on, grey. I want to get a tree wall sticker too, where did everyone else get their wall stickers from?

I think I'm going to have to get a wall sticker for DSDs room too as OH said she'd get jealous if Potato has one and she doesn't. OH wants DSS to choose how to decorate his own room... I'm fairly sure he said he wanted to paint his room black and pillar box red... No way OH will agree to that lol. He's a bit of a control freak and now we know we can have the house he's a little excited about the decorating. It might be time for me to admit defeat and let him get on with it Wink

danni oh my god that is adorable! Look at those little lips!!!!! ❤❤❤

irregular you're looking amazing! So lovely and neat. I'm 24 weeks today and thinking we're similar in bump size.

potato our wall stickers are just from mothercare, the roll up! range but they have loads of others. I'm also partial to bunch's tree sticker!

Lovely bump Irregular

So gorgeous Danni.

Mor is two days ahead of me Potato, but I'm second in line Grin I got my tree decal from Amazon, bargain price around £10 but I had to stick on every leaf individually. You can get absolutely stunning one piece ones in white or other colours that look like the wind are blowing them but they're around £60 Shock Amazon and eBay seemed to be the best place for me.

Love the bump miley.

32 week bump here, love that we're all rocking the stripes!!

Evergreen17 · 18/06/2016 17:08

Thanks Feefs and drwhy for the info. I will ask nicely, saying that I understand they cant really accommodate everyone's wishes but that blah blah and hope they do me the favour.
I will look into the private scan as second option just in case. The cost of changing flights and bookings will be enough to justify paying for the private scan if it comes to that.
Thanks potato for the tips on scan and mental health, I will tell the midwife next week Smile

My wall stickers are from Ikea I think

So cute. I think from Ikea but OH bought them actually (these are for me, not the nursery Grin)

IndiX · 18/06/2016 17:46

Hi ladies,
Hope you've all had a lovely sunny Saturday. I've not done anything interesting just gym this morning and then sunbathed in the garden for a few hours this afternoon. I'm also now addicted to Love Island, I was away when it first started so I am now catching up from the beginning, 6 episodes through and feel like it's quite an achievement! GrinGrin

Gorgeous bumps miley, irregular and bunch!! I'm 24 weeks on Wednesday so will post mine, I still don't think I has a 'proper' bump yet.

Went shopping yesterday and there's a sale in Zara baby..SO much cute stuff. I stopped myself buying EVERYTHING and just got another little dress and a cute cardigan for next summer. I can't wait until Beanie is wearing it.

Danni what an adorable boy, it's amazing the detail you can see on their little faces!
