PotatosMum · 01/06/2016 12:38

It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

Leonie sounds like DH missed the last post not you.

Shelb we're having baked smoked gammon joint with roast baby potatoes and fried eggs mmmmm. Most likely followed with me demolishing the freezer stock of ice lollies or having some nice cream with peanut butter and cinnamon. I'm addicted.

Pink I would be massively complaining but at least you have your letter now.

Starky sounds about right with the deflation, the bloat heads off just before bump usually pops.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 17/06/2016 18:31

I'm 17+2 ever and just look like I've put a bit of weight on to be honest! You wouldn't be able to tell at all. Grin

Thanks guys, I'm really glad to be back, family holidays are lovely but my Dm keeps worrying about what I'm eating "you're not getting enough fruit"and my dsis is doing my head in! I'll be honest, I'm starting to wish we'd kept our mouths shut till 20 week scan now!

Still just catching up on the thread and looking forward to having a night with just me and dh!

leoniethelioness · 17/06/2016 18:33

Bunch Nope, all me. Had them with me to post this morning but had such a busy day that I totally forgot. Baby brain?

Ahhh peanut butter and ice cream. Loooovely!!

Mileymoocow · 17/06/2016 18:33

Ah god bunch that sounds lovely! I've refrained from buying any treats after going through 24 jaffa cakes and a bar of oreo dairy milk in 3 days... Blush my diet isn't too horrific at actual meal times, it's just the snacking I can't seem to keep much on the healthy side. I've never been one for snacking as I followed a diet that meant I ate smaller meals 6 or 7 times a day so this is all new to me and I'm enjoying it a little too much.

Mileymoocow · 17/06/2016 18:34

Oh, and also a millies cookie Hmm

leoniethelioness · 17/06/2016 18:35

I'm the same, Miley. Meals are fine but love Galaxy chocolate and Coke and Haribo. Try not to buy the Haribo though... Just got such a sweet tooth!

shelbTa · 17/06/2016 19:11

Jesus ladies that is some fit sounding food!!!!

I wanted a Chinese but twat OH doesn't want one so we are having stuff out of the freezer. Misery. Guna have to get snacks for later!

X

IrregularCommentary · 17/06/2016 19:33

I feel you Shelb. DH ate far too much last weekend and subsequently after we had a bbq and is feeling tubby now so I'm on stir fry tonight.

Not exactly something you crave is it...

Laurenrl · 17/06/2016 20:16

I'm moving to chester /the north Wales border leonie back to where we're both from after 8 years in cities, it's going to be very weird! But yeah moving about 5 weeks before baby is due when I start ML.

At least you have the perfect excuse to be late for the post :)

Got a real sweet tooth too in the last few weeks, cant wait for a big bowl of popcorn with a film later!

Mileymoocow · 17/06/2016 20:28

My 74 year old grandma came back from her holiday and has been to visit this evening. She told us on one night she was doing deepthroats all night Shock After a little confusion and me guessing she didn't mean what I thought it meant, she eventually explained that it's a drink with baileys in it!!! My grandad has been calling her Debbie deep throat all holiday, too... I think they've been having her on as they kept shouting "would you like another deepthroat" and telling other people that "that lady over there likes a deepthroat". I'm both amused and absolutely mortified and I thought OH was going to choke on his lager. They're totally oblivious to what's been happening bless them

IrregularCommentary · 17/06/2016 20:41

Miley - DH and are are pissing ourselves over Debbie deep throat!! Your Grandad is definitely in on the joke!

Canters15 · 17/06/2016 20:44

Actual laugh out loud at deep throating grandma!

As for eggs Benedict, I have had several times this pregnancy. However I haven't paid any real attention to the pregnancy food rules as I think they are all a bit ridiculous.

Had booked to go to mother care event next Tues evening but twatting dh is now out of the country with work. I'm so annoyed, I dont want to buy the pram on my own! Man twat.

BunchOfBobs · 17/06/2016 20:45

Ooh lauren you're moving my way ish. I used to live Llandudno way but now in mid wales, an hour or so from Chester.

Oops definitely blame the baby brain Leonie . And it's nice cream as appears to ice cream so it's actually healthy and so so yummy. You freeze very ripe bananas then blitz them in a blender until they resemble ice cream, wack in some PB and heaven in a bowl!!!

Meal was yummy Miley. I'm in a bath now with an alcofree Kopperburg, awaiting delivery of a panacotta magnum knock off. If it helps I ate 6 lidl cookies in less than 2 days! Omg your grandparents are hilarious! My Nan keeps telling me to keep my pecker up.... She means chin up when mum tells her of whatever new pain I've got. Makes me laugh every time!

Man twat indeed Canters can you take a female reli or friend instead?

Mileymoocow · 17/06/2016 21:05

irregular I think he is too, though I'd prefer that he wasn't! It's given us a chuckle this evening anyway! My grandma is absolutely bloody nuts.

bunch laughing at your nan! They're bloody brilliant aren't they 😂 your bath sounds like heaven, enjoy it enough for both of us! I get kicked to ribbons off baby when I have a bath, has me slightly worried little crumpet doesn't like it so I get out after 5 minutes. It's never hot, and I never cover my bump fully. Fussy child!

Laurenrl · 17/06/2016 21:09

You've just made my night miley that's hilarious.

Oo bunch that's exciting! Didn't realise you were that close to chester, I can't wait to move but worried I won't meet many 'mum' friends with moving so late in pregnancy, I'm sure it will be OK though!

BunchOfBobs · 17/06/2016 21:12

Miley, I'm enjoying for us both now that the dog has left. I think he was after my lolly stick.
For those not on IG I've just had a whining beagle telling me off whilst in the bath. He did make me giggle though.

I think the bath makes Pip sleep as he's never that active in it. I'm the same with heat and not covering the full bump couldn't if I even wanted too.

BunchOfBobs · 17/06/2016 21:15

If you ever want to meet up Lauren just give me a shout. I live in the sticks and have no one here, hoping that will change once baby groups start but I'm more than willing to make a drive to see a friendly face Smile Are you going Welsh or Chestwe side of the border?

Laurenrl · 17/06/2016 21:22

Not decided yet bunch, going house hunting (rented) once our house in London is rented so we know what we can afford, and will stay in rented for a few years until we decide what to do with our house here, I'm reluctant to let it go as its London so I'll probably look back in ten years and regret the price I let it go for!

That would be great! I'll drop you a message when I'm sorted so we can arrange, you'll have had pip by the time I move!! Getting close now!

Laurenrl · 17/06/2016 21:27

This cat is going to struggle not having his daddy to himself in a few months time!

BunchOfBobs · 17/06/2016 21:40

I know Lauren 8 weeks tomorrow eek!
I completely see where you're coming from not wanting to sell the London place. We have another house in North Wales currently rented and we can't move again until it's sold. I LOVE our tenant and don't want to lose her or kick her out so for now I'm all "she can live there forever" and that's not even over a growth in house price.

Evergreen17 · 17/06/2016 21:42

Miley that is absolutely hilarious GrinGrinGrinGrin

DrWhy · 17/06/2016 21:59

Glad I'm not the only one who keeps snacking, it ranges from Pringles to chocolate to fruit - strangely they thing I've really craved is fruit, I think I'm permanently thirsty to be honest which is why. Doesn't stop me having sneaky afternoon chocolate bars though!
I'm also glad I'm not the only person mad enough to move house during pregnancy. Last set of removals in 2 weeks and then I'm going to make DH help me finish unpacking, tidying and making this feel like a proper home - it's been 2 months now and the boxes are driving me crazy. There's a random box of cables and junk we took overseas and brought back without ever opening but he won't let me just bin the lot!
Lauren I can totally understand not wanting to sell a London property, we reluctantly decided to sell DHs as we wanted to buy a family home up here and the rental on his flat wouldn't cover the mortgage once the new tax rules came in so we'd have been paying into that plus our own house, oh and the stamp duty increase on 2nd homes. It's a real shame but he made a fair amount in the 8 years he had it and we'd never have lived there again. Renting while you check out the area and make a decision sounds really sensible though.

PotatosMum · 18/06/2016 08:02

Morning ladies, how are you all today?

I'm 30 week today!!! Shock Potato is the size of a duck billed platypus and I'm slightly shocked to be to the 10 week countdown stage. It suddenly doesn't seem that long ago that I was waiting for my 12 week scan and thinking that it was ages away Confused

Pink I can't believe your dr's surgery did that. I'd be livid. I hope you get some luck with the complaint but if your surgery is anything like mine I wouldn't hold my breath Hmm

How was the deadpool movie? I haven't seen it yet.

Shelb what was dinner in the end? We went to frankie and bennies to celebrate our mortgage. We had a kiddy serve us, he took us round to one of the high tables which was also on a platform, I took one look at the clime to it and said err no. The kid looked utterly confused and the manager came scurrying out, light heartedly told the kiddy off for being a bit thick and took us to a normal booth. It was quite funny.

Miley aww that's a shame about your colleagues being off too. I think we'll probably do something on Wednesday. I might take some cakes in if I remember (mostly because I like cake)
I've completely given up an any thoughts that I might eat healthily this pregnancy. If I can just get through the next 10 weeks I'll worry about what I put in my mouth then!

Your grandma is hysterical!!! Grin

Canters boys are stupid Hmm can you not go to mothercare before he leaves, choose the pram but not buy it until the event?

Is anyone doing anything nice today? I think we're just going to potter around. We haven't got anything particular to do but we've got lots of little bits to deal with.
I never did hear about my buyers approval yesterday. I'll have to chase on Monday. So annoying but we're carrying on as if it will be fine so getting more packing done this weekend etc.
I need to sort my hospital bag, I've been saying I'm going to do it for two weeks now Confused I also need to do some studying or I'll get behind.
I lead suck an exciting life! Wink

Hi Potato it doesn't seem that long since we were discussing coming off the pill to TTC in January! Can't believe how much has happened since then.
I'm 28 weeks today and it's starting to feel so much more real now I'm bigger. I think yesterday was my last attempt at running, even the little bit in my training session made me quite sore - the trainer still has people at 34 weeks but there's no chance of that!
Today I have a pregnancy massage this morning, which I'm really looking forward to, then there is a local sling meet that I am going to check out. The rest of the weekend will be spent sorting out the house and garden and hiding from Father's Day.

Blush newbie has question Blush

Ok so I suffer from anxiety and I worry a lot. It is like everyday I find a new thing to worry.

My question is about the 12 weeks scan.

I will be (according to lmp) 12 weeks on the 4th of August

I have my driving test on the 2nd. I am getting married on the 5th.

And I am going on holidays/ honeymoon/ seeing my mum and telling her I am pregnant on the 13th.

I am worried that:

A) they will ask me to go for scan when I am on hols (we dont have lots of money and I really wanted to go and celebrate our wedding as we are not having one and last hols before baby)

B) if they ask me to go before the 13th it will fall on wedding day or another day in which my manager says I cant have time off (I work in a very very busy london landmark and those are busy times)

Do you think that I am being totally unreasonable and I have to get a grip and cancel holidays if needed?

Do you think, in your experience, that I can choose the date of the scan?

I do realise that if I make it to 12 weeks I will be sooooo happy that nothing else will matter. But I do want to get married on that date. The driving test I can move I am sure
