Thread #7 - TTC#1 Grads - Third Trimester Special

PotatosMum · 01/06/2016 12:38

It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

Shelb I'd rather get the sleep now and experience the deprecation later! Wink

Not sure about the eggs Benedict. It might depend on whether the source is fresh or from a jar.

Morning all

Hi Dr. Hope the rest of your holiday was enjoyable.
I'm envious of all your shopping to be done as mine is pretty much complete (just got to get thermometers and nipple cream)
Congrats on selling the flat. Thinking of you re/redundancy. I'm dreading trying to get work after maternity (March) I really hope there's some out there.

Leonie yes yes to the weeing. It's even more fun when you get bladder shots from the baby.

Oh Lauren I am sorry but that did make me giggle. If it makes you feel any better I'm having to do an anal assault on myself daily for piles Blush I hate it.

There's always something to worry about Potato Wink Woohoo I'll have a maternity leave buddy. I was kept up last night with trapped wind pain, Braxton hicks, leg cramps and it would appear I've developed carpal tunnel as my hands tingle all night too. Joys.

PotatosMum · 17/06/2016 08:50

Bunch wow! You win the worse nights sleep EVER! competition Wink

Can't wait to start maternity leave. Going to try to get some serious relaxing in before the baby arrives.

Hippy woman next to me is doing my head in this morning. Want to staple her but I've already given my stapler away Hmm

Oh no don't want it to seem like I was competing at all Potato Blush. I feel surprisingly refreshed just my hands still ache.
Could you roll your chair over her foot instead?

PotatosMum · 17/06/2016 09:45

Lol Bunch I didn't think you were competing. I just find it funny that a few of us have reached the stage where baby is stopping us from getting a good nights kip Grin

Sadly our desks are arranged to make rolling over each-others feet difficult. I'm trying to be the bigger person and ignore it... Only another week Grin

Shelb, shop bought hollandaise is fine but sometimes restaurants make their own shchi contains raw eggs, so best to check first.

Sodasoda · 17/06/2016 10:45

I'm planning to work til 38 weeks but we'll see - I can always bring it forward if I'm struggling. But I don't have a very physical job, I can work from home if the commute gets too much and i'd ideally like as much time with baby as possible.

So relieved it's Friday! Smile

Anyone got any nice weekend plans? I'm going to the theatre with DH tonight and then we're doing baby bits and pieces - ordering our nursery curtains tomorrow and going on a maternity ward tour on Sunday.

PotatosMum · 17/06/2016 11:09

Soda enjoy the theatre Smile

I think we're probably going to peruse the guarded centres and DIY shops this weekend for the new house Smile

I think I need to kill the hippy. She just informed me in a holier than thou tone that my baby is going to be stressy. Hmm when I told her that actually the midwife keeps commenting on how relaxed she seems, the hippy turned around and said well, she must take after your OH then. She's never f'ing met my OH!
It may be the pregnancy hormones but I'm quickly losing my rag with her.
My boss saw the look on my face and jokingly told her not to be mean before I killed her

BunchOfBobs · 17/06/2016 11:34

Potato that's really out of order of her. Tell her to but out. Has she even had kids herself?

Enjoy the theatre Soda. We're planning on doing something nice as this is one of the 2 weekends we have left to ourselves now before imminent Pip arrival . I'd like to make the epic trek to the beach for the dog, we both miss it a lot after always living by the sea. We'll see if the weather will allow it.
Other than that no plans but it won't be cleaning or diy related as we want to fully appreciate our remaining baby free time.
Any ideas on what we can do?

PotatosMum · 17/06/2016 11:53

Yes she has had kids Bunch but she had perfect easy pregnancies and has perfect children. She never gets worried or stressed about anything and she's selling her house and just believes that if something's meant to happen it will and nothing you can do will change that... Oh f'off Hmm

The beach sounds like a lovely idea. I think the weather is supposed to be ok this weekend. Not glorious sunshine but not raining either.

Love all the baby clothes bunch how do you find these websites? Keep linking them on IG as giving me inspiration and then I can go back and look when we're ready to start buying! Also I'm now convinced it was a bug I had this week that compounded the morning sickness so I would say stay away to any sickies! Unfortunately working in a hospital I do not have this choice!!

Amazing news potatoes you deserve it after all you've been through with this house!

Congratulations on the scan ever hope it's given you a bit of peace.

Slightly panicked as now less than booking in weight but am a good 14/16 so doubt I'm in any danger but still freaked me out a bit!!

I think if the eggs are lion branded you can eat them in a hollandaise shelbta.

Going to try and go for a swim now feeling very guilty about the lack of excercise since becoming pregnant

Laurenrl · 17/06/2016 12:14

We have an agent round tonight to put our house up for rent as we are now t-2 months until our big move!

Then tomorrow my best friend is in London for the first time since April so she will get to see the belly!

And Sunday chilling!

Hope you all have lovely weekends

Aha potato she seems like a right pain!!

I just happy cried as I ordered 2 mat dresses from ebay as I couldn't find ones I liked anywhere and they both fit with room to grow and look lovely! I finally have something to wear next month for my baby shower, birthday and work summer party.

Pinklily1 · 17/06/2016 13:15

Aah, bloody incompetent doctor has done a note saying I'm fit to fly, but has said I am one week less pregnant than I am, and due three weeks earlier than I am. Clearly maths and listening skills are not her strong point considering I told her exact dates Hmm So now we have to try and get it amended this afternoon but that doctor doesn't work Friday's so they have to see if another doctor is "willing" to amend it in her absence without seeing me. Better bloody well be "willing" given there are no appointments left today, its her incompetence that has caused the problem and we fly on Sunday AngryAngryAngryAngry

Nothing like causing a pregnant lady stress.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 17/06/2016 13:32

I'm heeeeeere! Was on our holidays to very exotic Anglesey and there was zero Internet connection! All is well though, as far as I know, thought I was getting a bump, but then it's just deflated again!

Having a read through now of all I've missed! Hope everyone is well!

Mileymoocow · 17/06/2016 14:27

potato she sounds like the ultimate bullshitter.

PotatosMum · 17/06/2016 16:20

Oh no Pink have you managed to get the letter sorted? That's teally annoying Sad

Yay! Stark's alive Grin

Managed not to kill the hippy. She's pushing 60 and really starting to get on my nerves. I don't think she realises how condescending she sounds.

I'm starting to feel a bit sad about leaving work. No one from my team will be in next Thursday or Friday so I won't even get to say a proper good bye Sad instead the hippy will be escorting me off the premises oh goody
Still, I've cheered myself up by ordering mine and OHs new phones Grin I haven't had a shiny new phone in about 5 years!!!

No news on buyer approval Hmm

OP posts:
Pinklily1 · 17/06/2016 16:26

We got the letter amended but they charged £25 for getting it done. So basically charged for their incompetence!! Angry They wouldn't do the new letter unless we paid though, so stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Pleased to hear you are alive Starky and that all is well!!

Potato, I would have had words with the hippy by now!

Feefeefs · 17/06/2016 16:44

Glad you had a nice holiday starky

BunchOfBobs · 17/06/2016 17:52

Yay Starky. You can see baby brain has truly kicked in here as I discussed your holiday with you Blush

Well done potato I don't think I would have had the strength not to lamp her to be honest.

shelbTa · 17/06/2016 17:55

Omg pink that is shocking!!!! How can they do that? Are you going to complain?

Bravo for not killing work mate potato.

Waves to everyone!

What is everyone dining on this evening? Need inspiration! I'd could murder an ice cold glass of white too.

x

Feefeefs · 17/06/2016 17:59

Oh god shelbta I could murder a glass of white wine!!!! First time I've felt that!!

If I were you pink I would make an appointment with that GP directly ( the one who made the mistake) when you return and request she organise the refund due to her mistake

Mileymoocow · 17/06/2016 18:00

shelb I'm busy making an arabiatta sauce for our meatballs. Having it with a spinach and ricotta pasta! Nummy! Then probe a shit load of strawberries and cherries while OH sinks the bottles of peroni in the fridge.....siiiiiigh

pink that's disgraceful. I'd be absolutely bloody livid!! Angry

potato I know how you feel, 3 of my favourite colleagues are on holiday the week I go off on maternity. We're having a mini office party the Friday before, though Grin

Evergreen17 · 17/06/2016 18:18

Pink that is so bad!!!! If they made a mistake surely the new letter should be free! Cheeky Envy
Welcome back starky! Smileno bump? How far along are you?
I have nada bump because only 5+1 Grin

Pinklily1 · 17/06/2016 18:23

We are going to complain. I am still fuming!

Apparently the doctor should have told me yesterday that there would be a charge for the letter in the first place. That wasn't mentioned then, when I made the appointment (despite saying what it was for) or when OH collected the original letter earlier. Apparently another error on the part of the first doctor.

I'm going to ask for reimbursement of the £25, plus the cost of fuel for the three trips OH had to make to the surgery. Unfortunately cannot claim for the stress it has caused me!

Shelb, tonight we are having Indian food and watching Deadpool Smile I may have also bought some treats for after dinner!

leoniethelioness · 17/06/2016 18:23

Lauren You're moving my way (near Cardiff), aren't you? Have you found somewhere to live here? Very exciting times ahead! Will you be having the baby here?

DH still in work and I'm hungry now, Miley. Bought myself some Percy Pigs for later though and had a lovely vegan chilli with homemade guacamole for lunch so not all bad. 😎😎

Just had to text MIL to confess I missed the last post for FIL's father's day card...
