Thread #7 - TTC#1 Grads - Third Trimester Special

PotatosMum · 01/06/2016 12:38

It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

ever fingers crossed you are one of the lucky ones! My sickness started at 5weeks and still hasn't really ended but it a million times better now. I was horrendous until about week 18/19.

Hi dr! Nice to see you Grin goad you're doing well and good news about your flat!

leonie I'm weeing so much at the minute too. I'm tempted to go for my urine checked as I'm up and down in excess of 10 times a day Hmm

Mileymoocow · 16/06/2016 19:26

soda as a Newcastle fan are you as pissed off as me at them taking sterling over townsend?

Laurenrl · 16/06/2016 19:36

Araghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I hate blood on the toilet paper 😢😢😢

99% sure it was from a hemorrhoid and not vaginal (I hadn't pooed in 4 days) but I'm just gonna be worried forever again now

IrregularCommentary · 16/06/2016 20:45

leonie - same here with the weeing. Depending on where she's lying I can feel like I need another wee by the time I've pulled my jeans back up.

Soda / Miley - I don't think there are many people who aren't pissed off that Sterling was taken. I'd happily have seen Townsend go ahead of him. At least Hodgson finally brought Vardy on though - 1.5 matches screaming at the tv for that to happen was too much!

IrregularCommentary · 16/06/2016 20:48

Lauren - check again if you're worried and make sure it's not vaginal. I'm sure it needs to be a fair amount of bleeding before it's viewed as anything medically worrying though so try not to get too concerned.

Pinklily1 · 16/06/2016 21:00

Woo hoo Potato, amazing news!!! Fingers crossed everything else falls into place too.

Glad the scan went well Ever.

Shelb, hows the sickness? I've felt quesy a few times in T3 but not had actual sickness.

Lauren - keep an eye on the blood situation next time you go to the loo and call the midwife if necessary. I'm sure its just from the delayed poo though!

We've just been to the Mothercare event. We ordered our pram, cupholder and various adapters, car seat and base, some bibs, a baby gym, some towels and a few other bits and pieces. Saved over £300 with the 10% off voucher so I'm pretty pleased with that!

Still waiting for my doctors note - she said she would type it up after my appointment this morning and I would get a call to say when I could collect it, would be today or tomorrow. No word from surgery today so they better bloody well call in the morning otherwise I will be getting angry. We fly this weekend so I can't wait any longer!

IndiX · 16/06/2016 21:05

So sad about Jo Cox, her poor family.

Leonie yes to weeing ALL the time, I've had it for weeks and had numerous times when I thought it must be a UTI but it never has been. Must just be cheeky baby lying on our bladders.

Lauren just check if it is from your bum, I have the odd spot of blood quite often (no haemorrhoids think I'm just a bit fragile in that area). I'm sure you'll be ok.

Ever great news everything is going well so far, you might be lucky. I've been pretty lucky but had bad nausea between weeks 6-9 and since then I've just been normal. Fingers crossed you breeze through it!

I really need to get on to these Mothercare events, the bargains sounds great! Do you just sign up online? Also has anyone joined the Boots baby club too?

Pinklily1 · 16/06/2016 21:08

Indi - you can call and sign up or if you google 'mother care expectant parent event' the link to the page to sign up should come up. We only saved that much because we spent a lot, but it is worth it even on the smaller things.

BunchOfBobs · 16/06/2016 21:30

Hi all,

Awful news about the mp.
PIL are not coming now, they thankfully don't want to risk it so I didn't have to say they were no longer welcome with their germs. Smile My parents came for tea sonographer had a lovely evening, done my hypno homework and am headed to bed soon. My back is so sore.

Lauren go give yourself another wipe to be sure. I'm sure as you said it's just from the haemorrhoid.

Indi I've joined the boots baby club and you get a voucher for a free mam bottle and dummy or any breast pads. L I got a box of 60 breastpads. £5 freebie!

Mileymoocow · 16/06/2016 21:41

Must look into boots baby club... I haven't signed up for anything other than mother care

pink that's a phenomenal saving! Bet they we're clapping their hands when you left. Did you get any popcorn?

irregular the second half subs definitely helped!

Pinklily1 · 16/06/2016 21:45

Popcorn?! No Miley, I'd forgotten you got popcorn! We just got some baby wipes, a sample of fabric conditioner, some Pregnacare vitamins and some sterilising tablets, plus a bunch of leaflets. Not I am jealous of the popcorn Hmm

DrWhy · 16/06/2016 22:05

Pink that's fab savings at the mothercare event! I have one to go to next week, DH is away and although he's given me free rein with the credit card I think id be nervous making huge purchased without his input - do you have to make the purchases on the night to benefit or can you come back a week later or so?
We think we know which buggy we want and out mothercare don't stock it but they do stock one that's a very close 2nd so if there's a really good deal of want to check with DH.

Sodasoda · 16/06/2016 22:39

miley / irregular - agree, totally stupid not to take Townsend. However, it does mean he won't get injured so good for us (if we keep him of course!)

Good tip on the Boots club.

lauren - must be worrying for you, hope you're ok.

Pinklily1 · 16/06/2016 22:42

Dr, you get a 10% off voucher which says it is valid for only one transaction. However we used it two separate times tonight and were told it actually works as many times as you want, can be used online as well after the event and doesn't expire until 3 July.

We got the icandy peach and the Be Safe car seat.

PotatosMum · 16/06/2016 22:46

Thank you ladies, I'm so happy!!! I just need to sort out my buyer now and then we'll be home free!!!! Grin

Bunch tell your OH that the pregnant ladies of MN have spoken and say your MIL isn't allowed to come round Wink

Shelb yay for starting your hospital bag Smile

Lauren I saw the labour MP thing. Absolutely shocking! What kind of nutter does something like that!!!

Ever yay! I'm glad the scan went well and all is well with your tiny bean Smile

OP posts:
DrWhy · 16/06/2016 22:57

Brilliant! Thanks pink pretty sure I know which car seat we want so that plus base is a decent amount already, will make notes of anything else I want, talk to DH about the buggy afterwards and will do a big purchase online!

PotatosMum · 16/06/2016 23:03

Oops! Posted too early!!

Nev I envy your proximity to the sea!

Ever a cold is a common early pregnancy symptom as your immune system is repressed while the blastocysts gets settled in Wink

Leonie yup, I also need to pee every time I stand up. Oh the glamour of pregnancy Confused

Drwhy well done on selling your flat Smile

Lauren can you not do a quick toilet paper up foof check to reassure yourself?

Still really relieved about mortgage but now I've found out our buyer messed up her HA application Angry going to try and sort it out tomorrow. If this means she can't buy I'm going to kill her as well really struggle to find another buyer in time Sad

OP posts:
Laurenrl · 16/06/2016 23:24

Thanks guys, blood is deffo not coming from where the baby will exit, many tissue and finger checks later and I'm a bit calmer, my poor bottom!

Good savings at mothercare!

Glad you didn't have to have the awkward convo bunch

Hope everyone had a better night than me!
Early weekend tomorrow though thank god. Maybe I'll go pick up my Emma's diary baby gift pack from boots.

Evergreen17 · 17/06/2016 06:52

Thanks DrWhy I will keep it shhh Wink

Although I woke up with super sore boobs this morningConfused

Thanks soda. i dont want the nausea, is there an app where you can pick and choose which symptoms you wanna get? Hmm

Lauren it sounds like it might not have been vaginal and if you havent been for 4 days it is probably because of that? Usually the colour is different with that one being bright light red and the other darker Hmm

Pink you bought lots of stuff I am jealous!
Indi yes I have written in my book I dont want the nausea so I dont think I will get it now Grin

PotatosMum · 17/06/2016 07:09

Morning ladies, how are you all today?

I'm shattered! Potato has taken to staying up late fidgeting Hmm I do not like this development.

Still over the moon about the mortgage but now fretting about my buyer. I don't think I'll be calm until the day we exchange! ConfusedBlush

My cross stitch arrived yesterday so looking forward to starting that tonight Smile

My maternity leave starts in one week today!!!! Grin and tomorrow I will be 30 weeks. Getting scared about hitting a single figure count down! It won't be long and I'll have a real baby Shock

OP posts:
leoniethelioness · 17/06/2016 07:28

Glad you got the cross stitch back, Potato. Can't believe you're starting maternity leave next week! I have ages left to go. Working up until 37+1... Am very excited about my part time weeks just beforehand though - part of me is tempted to start them sooner. Did you say on here before you were hoping not to go back after ML? Sorry if that was someone else!

Evergreen17 · 17/06/2016 08:09

Potato I have a blastowhat? WinkGrinGrin
I feel like things are going to be fine with me and my bean Smile I think she is a strong oneSmile. Even if only a pregnancy sac I thought it was a fine looking sac Smile

There is nothing better than starting a new project! I will start one today. If it doesnt work out for me I will give it to my friend. Booties Smile

Maternity leave! When are people opting to start theirs? You say 30 weeks potato? What about the rest? Some people work right til the end Hmm

I hope you can sort out the buyer and that it is just a paperwork thing to do Hmm

shelbTa · 17/06/2016 08:16

Morning

Ever - I'm working up to two weeks before the end, god help me!!!

Potato - I too have been up all night with a squirmer. Seeing it as good preparation for what's to come?

Ladies - reckon I could eat hollandaise sauce? Going out for breakfast to somewhere that does the best eggs benedict.

X

PotatosMum · 17/06/2016 08:16

Leonie I'm going back 3 days a week after ML but I'm also planning to start my own business so in a perfect world I would like to give up work completely and just do that.

Ever I was originally going to start 2 weeks before due (my company insist on it) but because of my complications I decided on 4 weeks before instead and I haven't taken any holiday this year so I have to take all my holiday up to the end of the year before meaning I get to finish at 31 weeks Grin
I'd probably be finishing later but I've been warned by the midwife/consultant that I'm probably going to be very uncomfortable and I have a heightened risk of early labour so they want me to take it easy.
I'm not complaining Wink

Yes, you have a blastocysts if I remember rightly. That's what your bean is called before she becomes a foetus Grin

OP posts:
Pinklily1 · 17/06/2016 08:16

Ever, at the minute I'm planning to finish when I'll be 38 weeks, but might push that to a week later and finish at 39 weeks if I can handle it. Feeling good at the minute but who knows what the next few weeks will hold!
