Thread #7 - TTC#1 Grads - Third Trimester Special

PotatosMum · 01/06/2016 12:38

It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

He's called Milo, aka Miley moo hence the mn tag! Wink oh thank you, people think they should be fat because they're a greedy breed! I love beagles but my god they're bloody nuts Grin My friend has a pup and she's absolutely barmy!!

That doesn't sound like a pleasant symptom I have to look forward to... I dread piles

BunchOfBobs · 15/06/2016 21:28

Lovely name Miley.
Haha they are nuts, but oh so amazing. He's the sweetest boy. Completely my baby. He asks for kisses and cuddles and when we get into the house after being out he sits waiting for us both to be either side of him kissing his face. Soppy git.
We're home alone tonight so I have Guardy Mc Barkster to look forward to again.
We call each other Bob at home and the dog hence my MN nickname Smile
Thankfully they're not painful or itchy but annoying.

Nevlet · 15/06/2016 22:55

Thanks pink hoping as school slows down I will have more time for baby related things and MN! I have 5 weeks left at work. It is dragging so much...

Evergreen17 · 16/06/2016 07:29

Feefs no where is Starky?

I am 5 weeks today Blush

Smile

Will update you on my scan in a few hours. Nerves!!

I have a cold and not sure what I am allowed to take for it Sad

IrregularCommentary · 16/06/2016 07:43

Good luck for the scan Ever.

There's not that much you can take unfortunately, paracetamol mainly. I think most of us who had colds early on pretty much powered through. Big one to avoid is ibuprofen though. Hope you feel better soon.

Yeah, not a peep from Starky - no IG activity either. Hope she's ok.

PotatosMum · 16/06/2016 08:03

Miley I would have burned the blanket but I think DSD would be offended... As it is I think I will need to get an identical one so that she doesn't ask what happened to it. Confused

Lol at your OHs misguided interpretation of bio oil application Grin

Pink all our dogs were fed dog food from a tin... Apart from the last one that my mum decided to feed cooked deboned chicken, I can't even remember why but after he'd had it a couple of times he turned his nose up at anything else Hmm
We want a dog when Potato is a bit older. Ideally a lab Smile my last dog was some kind of retriever terrier cross... He was awesome!

Bunch YES to the upset tummy! Exactly as you described and kept me up half last night. No piles yet though thank goodness! I had them when I went to Dosneyland Paris Blush I blamed the awful quality of the continental breakfast! I may have eaten too man croissants

Nev 5 weeks will fly by. I though that was forever but now I only have 7 work days left!!! Grin

Ever I'm sure the scan will be fine Smile

Unfortunately I think you're restricted to useless old Paracetamol for a cold Sad

Wasn't Stark on a couple of days ago? She's probably just busy, didn't she say something about family visiting or her visiting family?

I had an awful nights sleep. Tummy ache with a very wriggly baby is not fun. Then I kept having vivid frustration dreams Sad I'm blaming the mortgage wait. I hope we get news early today as I'm feeling hormonal and weepy again. I don't know what I'll do if they don't approve it. I know we have options and we won't be homeless but I've got my heart set on us having a nice little forever home. I never really felt settled as a child and I moved around a lot as a young adult so it's really important to me to feel like my home is my own and can't be taken away.

Good luck for scan ever.

Starving this morning!!!!!! +3lbs this week, must be a growth spurt.

X

Nevlet · 16/06/2016 08:29

I am already starving... I have my GTT later this morning how I will last till lunchtime on just water who knows. On the plus side it means I have today off. Have already marked a set of exams as baby woke me up at six with hiccups.

Also yes to wierd tummy in t3... Need to go constantly.

ElleSarcasmo · 16/06/2016 08:32

Good luck for the scan today Ever!

Love the moccasins Bunch, your baby is going to be so well dressed! Hope your back is feeling better today.

Shelb that salad looked amazing. I might have to copy you tonight. Very artful drizzled dressing too Wink

Potato got everything crossed for some good news for you today. Flowers

I am in touch with Choco-she is doing well Smile I'm not sure why she stopped posting though.

Pinklily1 · 16/06/2016 08:52

Crikey Potato, only 7 days left at work?! Bet you can't wait to finish. Not long left for you either Nev

Surely the ex can't expect you to want to use that blanket potato?!

Re dogs, we are going to get a cocker spaniel first hopefully (good dogs to run with) and then later a beagle.

I've not had an upset tummy so far, although I have read it's quite common later in pregnancy.

Baby was super active last night and woke me up at one point - felt like she did a full on turn/ somersault. It wasn't the most comfortable.

Just been to the doctors to ask for my note to say I'm fit to fly. She asked lots of questions but all fine and she is happy to give me a note. Feeling very relieved! Smile

We've got the Mothercare event tonight. I'm excited about ordering the pram Grin

Pinklily1 · 16/06/2016 08:52

Good luck today Ever!

Planeteer · 16/06/2016 08:58

Morning all. Loads of chat to catch up on.

Good luck today ever. Hope beanie is visible! Colds when preggo are fairly grim, paracetamol and honey and lemon about the only stuff you can have.

Potato gaaaaaah!! Really hope you hear today! At least the mortgage advisor is (finally) fighting your corner and putting a rocket under people. Really feel for you!

Bunch hows your back today?

Pink know what you mean about shape changing. I thought I was looking similarish apart from bump and boobs but have just noticed 2 massive ladders on the inside legs of my maternity jeans. Argh! My thighs must be...err... mightier than they were! Will now have to spend the day avoiding sitting in certain positions!

Utterly knackered today but feeling quite sprightly. Offer accepted on house yesterday, and had a bridal shoot I styled and directed published on a big national blog. Whoop!

Lara, how are you getting on with house stuff?

BunchOfBobs · 16/06/2016 09:02

So relieved to hear it seems to be a T3 thing rather than me being ill.

Yay for Beagle Pink!

Thanks Elle. The moccs were an absolute steal, I paid £3.60 but they've since gone down to £2.70 if there's any left. Insane price!! Back has gone back to its normal level of pain thankfully.

PILs were supposed to be coming today (DH back tomorrow) but I've just had a phone call from MIL who isn't very well. She's hoping it's just a colitis flare up but she's waiting it out to see if it's s stomach bug, if so they won't be coming because of me. It's very kind of them but as I said to her, it's more the travelling 5/6 hours with a stomach bug than me to worry about!

Sodasoda · 16/06/2016 09:23

Morning everyone,

Sorry I haven't read back - there's been a lot of chat!!

Good luck with scan today ever. They should definitely see 'something' on an internal scan.

I have to admit to irrational jealousy at hearing about upset stomachs! I'm still celebrating every time I have a poo! Blush Bloody iron tablets!

I'm not finishing work til 38 weeks so I've got ages - doesn't mean that I'm not counting down the days though!

Hope you're feeling better today bunch

Hope you get good news re mortgage potato

pink enjoy the mothercare event. I'm going to one next week so pretty excited! Any tips or particular bargains let me know!!

PotatosMum · 16/06/2016 09:54

Nev GTT was bloody awful! I hope the time goes quickly for you.

Pink yep, can't wait to finish. I'm just tired and ready for a break now. I wish people would stop telling me that the moment they finished work they went into labour though Confused
Yay! To getting your dr's letter.

G'ah! I'm so stressed waiting to hear about the mortgage. It's a good thing I don't bite my nails as I wouldn't have any fingers left!!!

OP posts:
shelbTa · 16/06/2016 11:22

So jealous of your one week left potato!

I've got 8 weeks left at work.

God I feel sick ladies. I've felt sick for a few weeks now - anyone else in T3 got that? Wondering if shift in hormones.

I need some crap for lunch - what's everyone having?!

X

Laurenrl · 16/06/2016 11:35

Potato I hope you hear today!

I'm well behind on this tread so sorry I'm not replying individually to everyone! But I hope everyone who has been having a bad week is feeling a little better today- nearly the weekend!

Talking of lunch shelb my work have decided to order the office pizza for 2pm and let anyone who wants to Wath the football in the board room. I'm all for perks however feel that's a bit of an injustice today, I have meetings planned in already and I won't get 2 hours off in its place! Same as anyone else who doesn't even want to watch! This country is crazy for football! (I'll make time to grab a slice of pizza though)

Sodasoda · 16/06/2016 11:41

I'm not too bothered about watching match either lauren but would prefer to watch it than be at my desk!! Would definitely be keen for pizza though! Grin

shelb - I'm loving macaroni cheese from Pret at the moment! It saved me during morning sickness in first trimester and now I'm almost in the third I've definitely started feeling a bit more sickie and reverting back to T1 eating habits!

PotatosMum · 16/06/2016 12:16

Shelb I've had bouts of feeling sick since hitting T3, from what I've read I think hormones surge again at this point and it can mess you up.
I just had a sandwich for lunch followed by 2 Mars bars

Lauren I hate the football, when I worked for a different company we always had a meeting room reserved with snack during the Euro (it is the Euro thingie going on isn't it? Shows how little I know)

I should now get an update on the mortgage before 2pm today. I feel so sick waiting and poor OH is about ready for us to pack our bags and go live in a tent instead Sad
There also seems to be a problem with my buyers application, the housing association are asking for more documents from her. The last thing I need is to lose my buyer. I'm so pissed off with the EA. I hired them because they had only just sold another apartment in my building so they said they were familiar with the HA. I never would have expected them to send me a unapproved buyer. Sad
I may be having a I hate everyone moment Confused

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 16/06/2016 13:08

He sounds very sweet bunch, mines boisterous and will bust your nose and black your eye trying to give you a kiss. He's sweet but my god does his head resemble a boulder!

shelb I had a tuna sandwich and a packet of crisps for lunch and am now eyeing up the strawberries and cherries in the fridge. Also, I know that the half packet of jaffa cakes won't be sitting round much longer, I'm completely obsessed with them at the minute.

I'm a football fan so can't wait for the match, OH is at work but can donate £5 to charity if he wants to watch the match in the canteen. I think it's a good idea but also a bit unfair for those who don't like football or are too busy to watch that they're getting paid the same for working those 2 hours. Yes it is the euros potato Grin

I'm worried about starky... I didn't notice her menion she was off somewhere?

13 weeks and 1 day until I start maternity leave. Seems like forever away but I'm sure it'll fly

BunchOfBobs · 16/06/2016 13:37

Dilemma ladies.
MIL still being sick, saying they'll come first thing in the morning. Personally I'm all "stay away" I can't be getting a stomach bug when my guts are already on overdrive. DH wants to let them decide but MIL is already adamant they're coming, she's very upset not to be here tonight. I feel bad for them but if it is a bug she needs to stay away from others for 48 hours no? Particularly vulnerable people. They're thinking it's food related though but it's not like her to react with vomiting, usually it's toilet trouble. Aaahh how do I say sorry but I'll see you next time (mid July)......

What would you lot do?

Mileymoocow · 16/06/2016 13:41

If be saying no way bunch! Definitely not worth the risk, plus it's only an extra month til they come again

BunchOfBobs · 16/06/2016 13:45

That's my feeling too Miley but she was near in tears on the phone. I just kept saying "well see how you feel in the morning you chat be travelling that distance ill".
Her response "no we'll be on our way first think, I can't possibly be sick any more". No maybe not but you can be contagious.
DH doesn't seem to happy with me "So you don't want them to come". Well quite frankly no. Then he says "well I can't very well say I don't want them to come when I do". I haven't asked him to say any such thing ffs. I'm going to have to put my foot down aren't I?

PotatosMum · 16/06/2016 13:55

Bunch I would tell her to stay away. Just remind them that although you want to see them it could be dangerous for you and the baby to get a tummy bug. How would she feel if it were a stomach bug and you end up in hospital? I know it's melodramatic but lay it on thick Wink

And in other news, I have a mortgage!!!! So happy I don't know what to do with myself!!!! I'm trying not to get too excited because we haven't had confirmation that our buyer has been approved by the HA but that shouldn't be a problem and if that doesn't go through it will be a fairly sizeable spanner in the works but it looks very much like we'll have our little house after all Grin

BunchOfBobs · 16/06/2016 13:57

Aaahhhhhh amazing news potato. I'm doing a sat down happy dance for you!

I said the hospital thing to DH- easy withh dehydration and he told me not to be so dramatic Hmm It's not like him so I've asked him to call me when he's out of his meeting so we can talk more. I want it to come from him to his parents not me. He seems to think his mum will be able to tell the difference between being ill and food problems. I don't think so.
