It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

Evening ladies,

Congrats Cosmo! Finally the boys have caught up, lovely news for you.

Leonie weirdly I was thinking about choc the other day too, I haven't seen her post for months either.

Potato me and Beanie have everything crossed for you!

Sorry a few of you are feeling fed up, I'm sure pregnancy hormones don't help to added stress you all have going on atm. I agree that anti-depressants seem a bit much though to hand out so easily. Sending you lots of CakeChocolateFlowers and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Lisa I wouldn't be too concerned about flying/travelling tbh, we've only just got back from holiday and now I'm looking at last minute deals to go away with my mum in a few weeks. I think you should make the most of baby-free holidays while you can.

Miley you're so organised! You're just a few days ahead of me and I only have still in the box nursery furniture and our pram. Need to get my arse in to gear.

Also has anyone had really sore/sensitive nipples? Especially any gym-goers? My right one in particular can be in total agony after a gym sesh, no matter what bra I wear and was wondering if any of you ladies have used any nipple creams or know of any solutions?

Pinklily1 · 14/06/2016 22:18

Miley, I hear rumours of a goodie bag and a 10% off voucher at the event. Is that true? We are going on Thursday armed with a list!!

Sodasoda · 14/06/2016 22:26

Sorry for people who are having bad days. Hugs particularly for bunch - it's worrying how readily they want to hand out anti depressants. Hope you feel better tomorrow Flowers

Good luck for mortgage tomorrow potato!

Ooh congrats on the boy cosmo! The girls started with quite a lead, can't believe we're on evens now!

lisa I understand concerns about holidays and flying. I'm having a bit of a medical consultant-led pregnancy though. I went away a couple of weeks ago and flew back at 24 weeks. I was on a boat so didn't have ready access to hospitals etc (hols booked before pregnancy!) and the cruise company wanted a dr note at that stage. Drs gave me antibiotics in advance in case I got a UTI (common annoyance for me) and told me to take my notes but were happy for me to go. All clear travel insurance covers you up to 36 weeks if anyone wants to go that late! I was really glad I went. Very relaxed and nice to spend time together before baby comes. I won't be flying again - I've got work conferences in UK at 32 and 34 weeks and I've already told work I'll be getting the train. But that might just be me - I don't exactly love flying anyway. Sorry for the ramble, hope that was vaguely useful!

miley I'm signed up to a mothercare event next week. Are there some really good deals on the day to be had?

My pregnancy yoga was cancelled last night last minute which was a bit annoying but I'm all set to go next week so I'll hopefully report back positive things then!

BunchOfBobs · 15/06/2016 06:46

Morning all.
Congrats and welcome to team blue co5mo Smile

Thanks for all the messages, I promise not to moan too much today. I've had a really good sleep and feel good at the moment so fingers crossed today is a good day. Had a great session at hypnobirthing, she did some amazing relaxation exercises with us and let us record them as DH just doesn't have the same affect reading them out.

Has anyone discovered Lidls double choc chip cookies (in the bakery section) or their custard brioche? They're both current addictions of mine and I'm specifically making a 1.5 hour round trip just to go get them today. It's been that kind of week!!

I hope everyone has a good day.

PotatosMum · 15/06/2016 06:54

Morning ladies, how are you all today?

Sorry Miley yes I did mean Bunch I claim pregnancy brain.

Soda sorry the pregnancy yoga was cancelled. Hopefully it will go ahead next week.

I'm now wondering what I've missed as my nipples are very content just the way they are Confused

Today I will mostly be saying to myself don't think about the mortgage... All day... On loop... While mentally biting my nails and rocking back and forth a little Confused

Mileymoocow · 15/06/2016 07:05

indi I've had to use nipple cream as mine are sore and itchy too!

pink and soda yeah there's a goodie bag but it's crap! Consists of baby wipes, samples of various things and a shit load of leaflets. There were lots of things on the night which had a hefty discount off already so we got:
-pack of 7 muslins
-groswaddle
-grobag 2.5 tog
-3 basic long sleeved bodysuits
-car mirror
-2 packs of bibs
-nipple cream
-baby grooming set
-my vitamins
-a bathing jug
-2 pack of maternity tshirts
All for £80!
We didn't stay for any of the talks as we pretty much knew what we wanted and the talks were on certain prams/carseats which you get when you buy them anyway. I wanted to stay for the first aid but it was a little busy so didn't bother.

bunch yes! They're fab. Luckily we have a lidl approximately 3 minutes away in the car so we regularly visit as their baked loaves are amazing. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better Flowers

PotatosMum · 15/06/2016 08:13

That's an impressive list'O'stuff Miley Grin

Is it wrong that it's not even 9am and I've already eaten a bag of wotsits?

OP posts:
Pinklily1 · 15/06/2016 08:33

That is an impressive list Miley!

Last time we were in Mothercare the sales assistant told us there would be a 10% off voucher in the bag which could be used on anything in store on the night. Did you not get that? We've been banking on it to save a few hundred £'s on our pram and car seat! If you don't get that I'll be very annoyed Angry

BunchOfBobs · 15/06/2016 08:36

Potato I say no, but then I have been known to eat chocolate chip cookies for breakfast!
Apparently for my start weight I should put on between 11 and 16 kg (25 and 35lb). As of today I've officially put on 16kg and still have 8 weeks and 3 days to go Confused

I forgot to say yesterday that Pip/my uterus is measuring above the 95th centile eek. But he's following the general curve so unless he continues to go further away from the optimum line we'll be fine, if not then it will be a growth scan. I knew I was baking a monster.

BunchOfBobs · 15/06/2016 08:39

Oh and next week at hypno we discuss how our partners can help with perineal massage Shock I've told DH he will not be helping if I decide to partake in such activities.

Impressive list Miley. I love the grobags and have a Dino growswaddle. Smile

Mileymoocow · 15/06/2016 08:48

pink yes you also get the 10% voucher Smile ooo exciting that you're going to buy your pram tonight.

bunch I looove them too! We've bought 2 so far and are getting the rest when we find out the flavour cause they tend to be girly or boyish. Our swaddle is plain white and our grobag is a cream and white pattern.

I'm quite impressed that we're done buying now until baba is here, but also quite sad because I really enjoy baby shopping. Need to get my act together for my own hospital bag though, got a handy list in the mother care goody bag of essentials for me and baby

PotatosMum · 15/06/2016 10:48

Pink enjoy choosing your pram tonight Grin

Bunch apparently the uterus measurements can be wildly off so you may not be growing a monster... That being said 95th percentile... Ouch! Shock

Still no news on the mortgage... I've been reduced to hysterical laughter once already today... I hope I'm not reduced to hysterical years later Confused the suspense is killing me!!!!

IrregularCommentary · 15/06/2016 11:42

Hey all, sorry for radio silence. Been checking in daily but not had much of a chance to post.

Potato - fingers still crossed!

Bunch - sorry you've been having such a tough time, I hope today's better, and never worry about moaning on here - we've all done it or will do it at some stage. I hope timings work out well for you as well.

Pink - love your bump pic, you're so neat still - you look great. I also echo everyone else and absolutely hold my bump quite a lot too btw, don't get the mumsy comment really.

Co5mo - congrats on team blue!

Lisa - not planning on doing it as we've not got the chance to go away properly before the baby's here, but if medical advice and insurance both say you can fly and you want to then go for it. There's plenty of time for not being able to do stuff once there's 3 of you!

Miley - no nipple sensitivity really, but have had two leaks now. Both right nipple, both clear liquid (and not much of it) and both late at night thankfully. I'm such a catch!

Had the weirdest dream last night. DH and I were arguing about names - we had a boy and a girl to name (twins I think). Out of nowhere he was set on calling them Hughie and Jeanette and I wanted to use stuff wed already agreed. I then looked at some photos and realised we had another 8 kids of varying ages who we'd forgotten to name over the years so we decided to just dish out all the names we liked on them instead.

My brain is a scary place right now!

Really uncomfortable night last night too. Baby girl has decided that instead of the nice kicks that I enjoy, she'd spend the night rolling over, which feels like someone has put a spin cycle on in my stomach and is not my favourite sensation. It's not a good sign when she's causing trouble this early on is it...

mayago · 15/06/2016 11:57

Potato hopefully you get some answers soon!

Congratulations on team blue Co5mo!

Sorry there seemed to be a lot of shitty days yesterday. Bunch I know when I'm feeling down the easiest way to get me to cry is for someone to ask how I am. Even a text asking similar has set me off before! I'm traditionally not a very emotive person and it usually comes as a bit of a shock.

Feef hope you're feeling better; did the brownie help? I came close to fainting again this morning. I really thought I'd turned a corner there. I think I need more brownies in my life!

Canters congratulations on the upcoming move! I think it's even more exciting when you're expecting Smile

That's a fantastic haul Miley! I'm going to a Mothercare event tonight, and a Mamas and Papas event on Sunday! It's still a bit early to buy, but hopefully I'll get some advice on a few things. I tend to buy online with cash back, so 10% off today isn't a great incentive. OH, on the other hand, will probably be in the queue to buy a pushchair while I'm not looking! He's so excited to the point where I find it annoying.

PotatosMum · 15/06/2016 12:09

Irregular I think as the amount of room reduces in your uterus the kind of movements you get change. Potato doesn't really kick at all anymore Sad instead she does a fidgety movement and rolls occasionally. It can be really annoying Confused

May I can't stand people asking me how I am when I feel down either. It always sets me crying and I'm usually thought of as quite tough.
When OH upsets me I usually try to walk away to calm down but the bugger always follows me to ask if I'm upset and give me cuddles which makes me cry, it's so bloody annoying but on the other hand he'd be in trouble if he didn't follow me too so the poor bloke can't win lol Wink

No news on the bloody mortgage. My stomach is in knots already. Depressingly I'm sure that whatever they say will involve them asking for more info not giving us a straight answer Hmm

OP posts:
PotatosMum · 15/06/2016 12:37

Sigh, I don't know how you ladies are voting on 23rd if you are but I can't be the only one who's thoroughly fed up of people acting as if the result is going to cause an apocalypse.

I'm on a house buying/selling thread and they're all talking about pulling out of sales and a housing market crash... I work in the financial industry for a very well known company who had a large share of the mortgage market (ironic considering my situation at the moment) do you know how worried my company is that we're going to have a housing crash?... Not even a little bit, that's how!
We're living through a severe housing shortage, even if the housing market slows or depresses a little we're talking very short term effect for normal residential properties. Yep, the market for multi-million pound mansions might suffer a bit but I don't really think joe blogs off the street needs to worry about it.

Hormonal rant over Smile

BunchOfBobs · 15/06/2016 13:19

I'm having a much better day today. Lidls cookies for the win. And the cutest delivery day of baby stuff (6months ish though).

To those asking about antenatal groups, my classes start on the 5th so fingers crossed we meet some nice couples. Hypno is 4 other lovely couples but we all live miles away from each other. Photo for those not on IG.

Oh and yes Miley I too have rather sore nips. Not itchy just really tender and they appear to be growing. The saucers have begun to appear and I seem to leak daily now around 8/9pm. Not enough to need a pad though.

Potato I've already voted (postal) so I'm very bored of all the coverage at the minute. I really hope you hear something soon.

Canters15 · 15/06/2016 14:05

Congrats cosmo!! Yay for team blue!!!

Can I ask a really stupid question about weight gain that I should know the answer to? Do I actually have to try to gain weight ie eat more or will it just go on itself? I'm about back at pre preg weight now at 17+4 but I don't know if I should be trying to increase that or if I can just carry on as I am?

PotatosMum · 15/06/2016 14:26

Carry on as you are... The weight will find you no mater how well you hide! Wink

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 15/06/2016 14:34

Canters I second potato, carry on as normal. It will find you. I didn't get back to pre preg weight until week 16/17 and then didn't really start putting it on until week 18/19. Now it just won't stop HmmGranted I certainly don't eat as I used to but I am not doing anything on purpose to gain weight. Just eating what and when my body tells me too. This baby is going to come out in a chocolate wrapper!

Mileymoocow · 15/06/2016 14:53

canters just echoing others. I was 10lb down at week 16 and am now a stone heavier than pre pregnancy. It definitely does just find you!

bunch that baby stuff is absolutely amazing! Those shoes! ❤ yay for lidl cookies Grin

I really have no idea what to vote, it all seems like a big bitchfest with absolutely no facts thrown in. I've done some of my own digging and research but either way I can't see it making that much of a difference to me unless the nhs crumbles.

Danni89 · 15/06/2016 15:04

Omg!! Loving the moccasins bunch.. So cute! And the sunglasses- one cool lil dude

I'm not really watching my weight, I'll deal with it after lol

Just had my 28week appointment, and all seems wellSmile

BunchOfBobs · 15/06/2016 16:27

Gorgeous aren't they Miley, Danni Smile

Ive been an idiot and done myself a damage. The dogs monthly food order has arrived- he's raw fed so we get frozen meat sent to us. I carried the boxes through to the dog freezer. 15kg a box. Back in the day wouldn't have been an issue but my back is already sore. I ended up lying on the floor to ease it and got stuck there in agony. DH not very happy with me and I'm now on the sofa with a heat pad awaiting his return. Oh the pain.

leoniethelioness · 15/06/2016 16:28

I'll catch up on the thread soon but, Miley, here's the list of what my friend recommends:

A sling/carrier
Ewan the Dream Sheep - begins a sleep association well before cuddly toy attachment
Baby sleeping bags (Gro Bags tend to wash better and not shrink) - especially the travel one for use in a car seat
Happy Nappy swimming shorts (apparently other versions just aren't as good)
Cheeky Wipes - better for baby's bottom, environmentally friendly and smell nice; not a problem washing them as you'll have a wash on every other day anyway
Lansinoh - do not even bother with anything else
Star wrap instead of a pram suit from Tuppence and Crumble
Bath seat rather than a baby bath - allows both hands to be free whilst they are in the bath
Infacol - just in case (helps with wind)

leoniethelioness · 15/06/2016 16:35

I'm just back from my 25 week appointment. All fine, thankfully! Blood pressure and urine OK, baby's heartbeat nice and galloping like a horse, and bump measurement (24 cm) is fine. Quite relieved that the bump is measuring fine - I feel like a whale.

Bunch - I have the Dino Groswaddle too! I have a dinosaur Grobag from eBay and a Mamas and Papas one too. Do you think I need any more? I have a cellular blanket as well for when he is tiny - I don't think you can use the Grobags straight away, not until their heads are big enough

Canters - I'm not bothering to weigh myself. I've decided not to worry as long as size 10 maternity clothes fit (my pre-pregnancy size). I'm not going to beat myself up if I have to buy some size 12s but I'm going to start watching what I eat if I get there. I don't know if this is the most sensibe method but it means I don't obsess too much over every pound. I haven't weighed myself, or been weighed, since my 12 week appointment.

I'm on the computer to check my work emails and my cat can't cope with this at all. She really wants me to pet her more - even though I am already! Walking all over the desk and purring.
