It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

Good luck, Potato! I do hope that you have some much needed good news today.

Here's hoping I can get through the day without any tailbone pain. I feel normal all morning and then it kicks in around 2/3. I'm hoping it'll be better this week as it makes it impossible to concentrate on work in the afternoons. I do a proper desk job so there's not much I can do standing up or sitting elsewhere in the office. I'm hoping my midwife can give me some tips on Wednesday. I'm worried it's happening because I've piled on too much weight. I'm confident that our meals are healthy but I've got such a sweet tooth and can't stop snacking on things I really ought not to eat. I'm trying to eat more fruit again though - I could only eat berries and grapes for the first few months but back eating apples last week and trying plums and satsumas this week. I usually really like fruit but I've just gone off it a lot!

Evergreen17 · 13/06/2016 08:19

Good morning ladies!!!
I love all the pushchairs here SmileSmile
I feel so lucky I get to hang out with you guys and learn SmileSmileHalo

I am having a newbie panic Confused
I am feeling sometimes a discomfort on what I think is my left ovary
Like pinching, pulling, stabbing (but not bad)

I am having a transvaginal scan on Thursday morning anyway because of my suspected PCOS which is why I am hoping they will tell me then, but in the meantime...

I have been using google (looks down in shame) Sad and found quite a bit of post like this

The brown spotting stopped 2 days ago and my pg test are still getting stronger lines

Anyone experienced this?

I am 4+5

So do some travel systems come with a car seat and some not? The cosatto looks like an absolute bargain.

Good luck for today Potato!

I wasn't keen on the idea of 4D Lauren, but Indi's picture was gorgeous!

Leonie I can't stop eating fruit at the moment! I'm obsessed with mango, watermelon, blueberries and strawberries. It is quite an expensive habit! Unfortunately I put weight on in the first trimester anyway with all the stodge and seem to be expanding rapidly despite not eating junk now! I'm trying to be healthy in general (swimming and Aqua) and hoping it will slow down over the rest of the pregnancy. If it doesn't a healthy baby is what matters anyway. Have you thought about trying a cushion for your chair?

ElleSarcasmo · 13/06/2016 08:23

Try not to worry Evergreen, I had something similar to that too. Hopefully they'll be able to reassure you at the scan Flowers

Evergreen17 · 13/06/2016 08:33

Lillian that is so annoying!! That she was distracted and forgetting stuff!! This is only your baby! Envy but glad to hear about the posh ward Grin
Best of luck with the mortgage Potato! I hate any kind of wait!

Evergreen17 · 13/06/2016 08:38

Thanks Elle Smile I think the pain might be a ligament actually, Hmm it has moved closer to my abductor and I went for a run yesterday

Blush being newbie is hard, they really dont give you any info on what you are supposed to feel

Planeteer · 13/06/2016 08:44

Hi ever I definitely had that in the first few weeks, and the upset stomach too. Try not to worry if you can, and hopefully the scan will be reassuring. Your body is changing so much to accommodate this new little poppyseed that you're bound to be feeling all sorts of weird twinges and symptoms. Pretty sure between us on here we had the whole range! Have you told anyone yet, or are you waiting?

shelbTa · 13/06/2016 08:52

Morning ladies

Fx for today potato.

Miley - I nearly bought that exact pram and car seat combo!!!!! But ended up for cream and black covers for pram in the end as grey was out of stock everywhere and couldn't be arsed tracking it down.

Ladies - someone said something really hurtful to me last night. All the pics of the hen do i was on emerged and on quite a few I've got my hand on my tummy. A close family member said to me last night "you've got your hand on your belly a lot, you need to watch that". I pumped them on exactly what they meant and they said "it looks a bit mumsy". I'm so hurt and paranoid now that I was doing it too much all weekend. Do you guys put your hand on your tum a lot in public?

X

PotatosMum · 13/06/2016 08:58

Leonie I hope the tailbone thing is ok today. Could you take a cushion into work to relieve some of the pressure?
I've given up on the healthy eating given that I've failed the whole way through. I am a bit miffed that all of a sudden my legs appear to be pregnant though Hmm

Ever most aches and pains are normal so I wouldn't worry. We've all had stabby and uncomfortable pains at some point and I'm sure that if there is anything to be aware of the scan will pick it up so try not to worry until then. Cake

Elle each travel system comes with its own set of stuff some have car seats, some are sold separately. With a lot of them you also have to buy things like rain hoods and foot muffs separately, so make sure you know what you're getting before you hand over money as you can end up spending £££ on things that you'd think would come with.
I love my giggle 2 and so does OH I can't wait to use it Grin

No news yet... Not surprising considering I'm pretty sure the office doesn't open until 9am Blush honestly, I'll be shocked if I get a response before Wednesday but I'm still hoping Confused

Gah Monday!

Hope everyone had nice weekends. Mine was really nice and relaxed.

Re prams - not bought anything yet (taking some time off in July to properly buy stuff and turn spare room into nursery so not much point til then) but like lisa we're thinking of babyzen yoyo. It's so light (I have to get up 10 stairs to London flat) and folds super small (we have a mini car!!) plus it'll just be so much easier to manouvre on tubes etc than something huge. Our families also don't live near us at all so didn't want anything too cumbersome to travel with. Haven't decided on car seats but likely the maxi cosi.

lisa - was it you saying your placenta was low at your scan? (can't read back on my phone too far). I also have that and have a repeat scan booked in. Apparently it's really common and 9 in 10 move so fingers crossed for us both!

I went driving on my own this weekend - first time since I did my refresher lessons. You can do it leonie! Wink

I had my first night of baby keeping me up by jumping around. Alternating between 'ah' and 'argh' at 3am!!

lauren I might have gone for 4D scan but we're having growth scans really regularly from next week so we'll be getting regular glimpses anyway.

Sorry you had a stressful time elle, glad everything is ok.

Fingers crossed for you today potato

I've got my first pregnancy yoga session tonight. I've never really done yoga before so bit nervous about it but hoping it'll be good for me and a chance to meet other pregnant ladies in the area.

Anyone doing anything for their OH for Father's Day? I ordered a card from moonpig made up of various scan pics and a few of us together plus bump and got him a book called Commando Dad about coping with fatherhood - hopefully he'll like it! Smile

BunchOfBobs · 13/06/2016 09:24

Morning all.

Leonie it could be the start of spd/pgp. I really hope it's not for you but mine started in my tailbone. Speak to your midwife or gp about it a sap so you can get referred to a physio. Mine has pelvic pain listed on my list as its okay to call about it, as in no need to wait until your next appointment. I'm also addicted to fruit, particularly mango and melon. I have a whole mango and a wedge of melon with yoghurt for breakfast as well as weetabix. Also massively piling the weight on but I no longer care. I had a really slow weight gain last week, only 0.5kg for the whole week. I've put that on in just that last two days so looks like back to normal for me. I'm now fully expecting to finish weighing more than DH. Just 3.7kg to go!!
*
Lauren* no 4d for us, we want to keep what Pip looks like as a surprise, plus I've missed the boat even if I wanted one. I think they say they're not worth doing after 27 weeks IIRC as baby is so squished. 8 weeks 5 days now eek!

Lillian sorry you had a crappy sonographer. You should complain.

Shelb that's awful of them to imply it's a bad thing. So what it's a mumsy thing, you're about to become a mum. My hand is never off my bump. Don't let them get to you.

Fx for not too long a wait Potato. Are you feeling any better? Started your cross stitch yet?

Soda nothing for Father's Day here, nothing was done for Mother's Day so it'll be no issue. Commando dad is a book we were shown at hypno. Looks amazing!

Pip had his most active day to date yesterday and appears today is going the same. He is just constantly rolling and punching etc. I'm very aware my uterus is much bigger now as I feel him way around my sides and up to my ribs. He's loving the story readings and the hypno exercises.

DH is working from home as he's ill today. Very unlike him but he clearly isn't himself.
He thought it was allergies as spent the day sneezing yesterday but now he's freezing as well as sneezing. Being a complete clutz- he literally threw my decaf coffee over me this morning because he "didn't see it" and he kept putting fridge items in the sink. Poor love. Thankfully I'm having a good day so can actually tend to him if needs be. I've got him and the dog currently wrapped up in blankets on the sofa. I may join them with my embroidery.

PotatosMum · 13/06/2016 09:56

Soda well done getting out in the car on your own Smile and good luck for the yoga.

I don't think I'll do anything for Father's Day. We didn't do anything for Mother's Day and OH isn't really into Father's Day anyway.

Bunch yep, I'm feeling a little less mental now. I managed to get a proper sleep last night which I'm sure has helped.
I'm still waiting for the cross stitch to arrive, hopefully will get it in the next couple of days.

Hope you don't get too worn out looking after poorly OH. Poor thing.

shelbTa · 13/06/2016 10:03

Thanks bunch. I know, I have mine on my bump all the time too. I feel like she's robbed me of the last few months now as I'm going to be paranoid about it.

Anyway, 29 weeks today, so here's a bump pic, haven't done one for ages!

Waves to everyone.

X

Shelb - what a load of effing nonsense, do not worry about it at all. It says far more about then than it does about you. Plus, I’ve heard that when women are quite far along it can be more comfortable to hold their bump as it gets quite heavy. Ignore the buggers! And great bump, by the way!

Soda - I’ve got an anterior placenta, but I don’t think it’s low. Think it’s just in front. Still haven’t been feeling much yet! Well done on the driving!

Bunch - Same here about Father’s Day. Nothing was done for me for Mother’s Day. I’m don’t particularly mind, but if Father’s Day had come first I think I would have done something for DH (like buy something small, or make something to do with the baby). But don’t think it’s expected given he didn’t do anything. Seems fair! Grin

Planeteer · 13/06/2016 10:40

Fab bump pic shelb, you're looking so trim! Can't believe the mumsy comment, how bloody rude! Try to take no notice at all if you can.

Potato thinking of you today. I'm constantly checking that my phone's not accidentally on silent, waiting to hear back about our offer. It's gone to sealed bids as there was so much interest. Argh. Really hope we get it!!! This house buying malarkey is not my favourite!

PotatosMum · 13/06/2016 11:50

Shelb lovely bump.
I seem to have completely missed something but whatever it was, I'm pretty sure the person who upset you is an arse and should be hit with a stapler Grin

Planet I've got my fingers crossed for you, really hope you get the house.

Just met with a lovely college that I haven't seen for months. We were having a lovely chat during which she decided to inform me that I've always had really nice sized boobs but now my bump makes them look tiny Confused good thing we're friends or I may have taken offence Wink

Trying desperately not to spam my mortgage adviser with emails asking if she's heard yet. I'm giving myself until 3pm, then I'll email her...

I have suddenly realised that I'm going through some sort of pregnancy anxiety regression. When I first got upduffed every little twinge or new symptom freaked me out and made me worry that something's wrong, then after a few weeks I chilled out... Now I'm looking at being 30 weeks on Saturday, every little twinge and symptom is freaking me out and making me think that either something is wrong or I'm going into early labour Confused it may be a long 10 weeks!!!!

BTW has anyone else experienced the joy of baby wedging a foot into your rib cage Shock it's really not pleasant!!!

OP posts:
Sodasoda · 13/06/2016 13:21

Great bump shelb. That's a really odd thing for someone to say to you and really out of order! It's comfy to rest hands on bump! I often stroke my belly when I can feel baby moving around too, I think it's a nice motherly thing to do!

Sorry lisa must have got mixed up!

potato people's personal body comments are really winding me up at the moment! It's not OK to say stuff like that!!

Fingers crossed on house planet

shelbTa · 13/06/2016 13:34

Thanks guys. It was my mum who said it actually, so, really quite sad.

X

shelbTa · 13/06/2016 13:35

Potato - yes I had the ribcage thing earlier! X

Danni89 · 13/06/2016 13:39

I always have my hand on my bump shelb.. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I can't remember who asked, but I have my 4D scan on sat! Last time I'll get to see nugget before he arrives in real life!

Mileymoocow · 13/06/2016 13:51

Hi guys, having a quick catch up

elle I'm glad all was ok, that must have been a horrible scare!

lillian I'd be pissed off so bad at your sonographer. Maybe mention your concerns at your next scan. Great that you get to see bubs again though Smile

shelb tell them to piss off. I constantly touch my tummy because my most precious thing is in there. I think some people can't help having a comment.

Mileymoocow · 13/06/2016 13:55

Ooops shelb just read it was your mum Blush maybe don't tell her to piss off but also don't stop touching your bump just because of that comment. I hold mine all the time wether I'm out and about or in the house. I'm proud of it and can't wait to meet what's inside. Also, good taste on the pram front Wink

ever I'm another that had constant twinges etc. It's difficult being newly pregnant Flowers

Posted it on IG but for those of you who aren't on, here's a photo of our nursery stickers Grin

Canters15 · 13/06/2016 14:10

shelb what on earth is your mum on? Dont worry about touching your bump, I'd touch mine if I had one! You look lovely in your pic btw.

Re pram for whoever asked, I think we're getting the icandy...i want one that can covert to a double as intend on having number 2 fairly quickly then dh can have the snip!

Planeteer · 13/06/2016 14:15

Bugger bugger bugger. Sellers went with someone else as they were cash buyers Sad. Trying not to be too gutted as there was another one we saw that we did also like, just not quite as much. Will try for that one and see how we go, but this is getting more stressful than my brain would ideally like!!

Sorry for house woe post. On the upside I have just won a bundle of v cute tiny person clothes on eBay.

PotatosMum · 13/06/2016 14:37

Soda I'm not too fussed about the boob comment, she was a close enough friend to get away with it and to be fair, she's right Confused my boobs have chosen not to grow at all and now I have my bump they've gone from looking just right to looking rather sorry for themselves Blush

Shelb I've just got the gist of what happened. Ignore your mum, she's obviously just realised that her little girl is about to become a mum herself and it's making her feel a bit weird, she's just rebelling, she'll grow out of it Wink and like everyone else, I also constantly touch my bump, it's hard not to when you have a whacking great growth in front of you all the time ShockWink

Miley cute stickers, I think I need some wall stickers but I think I need a wall for them to go on first Blush

Planet NO! That sucks Sad better luck next time.

I'm going slightly mad refreshing my personal email to see if I've got a response about the mortgage yet. I've already caved and emailed the mortgage advisor... I think she's going to hate me by the end of the week.

The woman I sit next to at work is a bit new aged and just keeps telling me if its meant to happen it will don't stress about it... I want to staple her every time she says this AngryBlush
