It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

Ever go for it!

New glad it's not just me! I wish the braxton hicks would sod off as they're a bit worrying.

Here's the cross stitch I've ordered Smile I've got the patterns for the other 3 in the collection packed up somewhere so I'm hoping I can eventually do all of them for Potato Smile

Ahhhh a lovely carrousel horse for Potato Smile

PotatosMum · 12/06/2016 20:05

Thanks Ever I think I'm going to try and fit her name, birthday and weight on there somehow. Then I'm going to try to do the other three I have the patterns for, maybe one a year.

Evening everyone!

Hope you've all had lovely weekends (hasn't been very nice weather down here in London - grey, rainy, but muggy).

We had our first foray into the world of prams and car seats today - oh my god, is that shit complicated!

If you don't mind me asking, what have people gone for so far, and why?

I know some people have mentioned it on previous threads but I've had a look back and can't find anything easily.

LisaTheSimpson · 12/06/2016 20:07

Love the carousels, Potato! I'm so impressed with people who can do things like that

Mileymoocow · 12/06/2016 20:28

potato they're beautiful! I really love them. You're such a creative bunch, really puts my wall stickers to shame haha!

lisa it's a minefield, pram shopping. We have gone for the bugaboo chameleon 3 classic in grey and we have the maxi cosi pebble plus with isofix 2 way base to fit the chassis. We went for it because of how much walking we will have to do with it, so we needed suitable tyres/suspension (as we're not always on pavements, often go to the beach/woods with the dog). I'd initially said no way to spending that much on a pram but my cousin has just sold her 8 year old one for £470 so they hold their value brilliantly. The warranty you get with it is great, too. They will send you a new chassis for minor things like a scratch. It's also really easy to collapse and put back up. I've attached a couple of photos of it

Lovely cross stitch patterns Potato. I love cross stitch, I used to have a subscription to cross stitcher magazine.

Lisa, we're not getting a pram but car seat wise we've gone for the be safe izi go modular Isize. We preferred it when we saw it at the baby and toddler show to the maxi cosy we were originally going for. Got it in a gorgeous blue colour too. We have the next size up too as got an amazing deal at the show. Stock photo and my own photos attached.

Lovely pram miley! I've gone for the Bugaboo cameleon too, but a second hand older generation model. It looks good as new and is sand and black colour scheme.

LaraG13 · 12/06/2016 20:54

Meant to say I'm getting a maxi cosi pebble to go with it, since you asked lisa

PotatosMum · 12/06/2016 21:08

Lisa a couple of us have the consatto giggle 2 in toodle pip pattern from mother care. It's about £350 which is an absolute bargain.
I chose it because it has really good ratings while still being very affordable we didn't want to spend a fortune. It comes with a carry cot, car seat, normal seat, changing bag and all the little extras like foot muff and rain covers. It also has good sized wheels so while it might not be up to serious off-roading but will certainly handle the odd wander with the dog or festival field. The only downsides are that it isn't single hand folding and the body is quite big. Neither of these were high on my wish list though.

I'd just like to add that we seriously considered the same cosatto as potato. Brilliant deal to be had

ElleSarcasmo · 12/06/2016 21:11

Hello everyone! I've been away from the thread for a while as we moved house, then went on holiday.

Congratulations and welcome Evergreen!

15+6 here, had a scare last week with some bleeding (dark blood) so ended up being seen and having an emergency scan...baby was kicking and waving away thankfully!

I'm holding off on the pram until post 20 week scan I think...need to save up! Can't believe how expensive they are.

Feefeefs · 12/06/2016 21:13

Sorry for all those who had crap days yesterday.

I've felt the best for ages today, managed to eat healthy food and cleaned the flat properly good scrub, and did some pregnancy yoga! It may not sound like much but today was a really big achievement for me and feeling happy!

We are also going to try and buy a house in August and starting to stress now Confused. Need to calm nothing I can do yet!! It's putting me off buying any baby stuff as will need to move it all anyway

Evergreen17 · 12/06/2016 21:23

Thanks Elle Grin

LisaTheSimpson · 12/06/2016 21:31

Thanks Miley, Bunch, Potato, and Lara, that's really appreciated! I know recognise those brand and model names, so what you say about them and why you chose them is really helpful.

Many thanks!

Planeteer · 12/06/2016 21:50

Yay Feef! So glad you've had a good day after feeling so rubbish

Lisa we've gone for a Cosatto Giggle 2. It's a 3 wheeler, but pretty light and easy to fold, although less compact than some. It comes in lots of different prints (sooo pretty!) and is a travel system with carrycot, reversible pushchair and car seat. You also get a changing bag and foot muff and raincover, so it felt like a good deal! This is what the one we've gone for looks like.

Ha woops Lisa my post could also read 'what Potato said!' That'll teach me not to read back over all posts!

LisaTheSimpson · 12/06/2016 22:10

Thanks Planet!

Still helpful to hear you say it too - it's really interesting to see people's own reasoning about what they chose. And if it's similar to someone else's - just proof that that one is popular!

LaraG13 · 12/06/2016 22:42

My reasons for choosing the bugaboo were the lightness of the chassis, the ease of steering, the fact you can flip the handle to put the big wheels in front for rough terrain, the good adjustable suspension, and the feel of stability and quality. It was out of my price range new unfortunately, but I got it much much cheaper second hand.

PotatosMum · 12/06/2016 22:48

Elle sorry you had such a scare but very glad to hear it turned out ok Smile

Feef glad you've had such a productive day today, it certainly sounds like an achievement to me as just walking a short distance results in me breaking at the moment!

We must all be mad trying to move before the babies turn up but fingers crossed we'll all manage it. OH and I are getting mortgage jitters again. I so hope we get approved tomorrow.

HA! planet great minds think alike Wink your pattern is firebird isn't it? That was the one I wanted originally but the mother care exclusive deal was too good to miss and I think OH preferred the pattern Smile

Lisa I think there's still one other person who's bought a giggle 2 but I'm can't remember who it was Confused

I have my shiny new fan working (yay!) however I feel like I may as well have bought it from IKEA given the amount of blinking assembly required... I've never actually bought a fan that required you to fit the blades and guard yourself and needed 2 screwdrivers and a pair of pliers to complete! Confused

Thanks planteer.

Best of luck for tomorrow potato

LillianFullStop · 13/06/2016 00:20

Just checking in all - had a busy weekend!

Welcome to Team Pink planet yay! takes getting used to the finding out - but now you can definitely say she/her Smile

Ah the symptoms have kicked in ever! I would say congrats but I think maybe it's commiserations you need!

hope better news on mortgage this week potato

glad the scare was nothing to worry about elle - I'm saving all the shopping for after 24 weeks too. We've gone in to have a look at a few prams to suss them out and really love the look of your Bugaboo Chameleon miley and also the iCandy Peach but I think I'm leaning towards the Baby Zen Yoyo. It's a light 6kg and as I am only a wee 4'11 - anything bigger/heavier I would have trouble lugging around town!

Had my 20w scan on Friday and all is well with the Bee! Little wriggly pot and even managed to catch a yawn and her taking a bite of her foot - so cute and so lovely to see! I have an anterior low lying placenta though so i need another scan at 32w to see if it moves up and away from the cervix - if not they said I may have to get a c-section Confused. I really hope it moves up as I am about 100x more terrified of c-section surgery than I am of labour!! fingers crossed i get the all clear at 32w - on a good note i get to take a peek at little one again in a few weeks.

I wasn't overly impressed with my sonographer though - she took a phone call halfway through the scan. asked me to walk around and come back in 15 minutes saying she couldn't get a good view of the spine (she tried for about 5 seconds). I think she just wanted to get back to her phone call TBH. She was so distracted that she told me it was all done and I was wiping off all the gel already before saying - oops I forgot to take a few more measurements (quite crucial ones too like femur length, finding the kidneys etc). I don't feel confident she did a proper anomaly scan so quite good I'm getting another at 32w Angry. On the other hand i had 15 minutes to kill so DH and I decided to sticky beak at the private maternity wing to see what it was like - very faaaancy indeed! Nice lounges instead of the standard NHS issue plastic waiting chairs lol

Laurenrl · 13/06/2016 00:46

Anyone thinking of having a 4d scan? I'm not botheredand think they're a bit creepy by OH is desperate for one

leoniethelioness · 13/06/2016 06:24

I'm thinking about it but it's £80, Lauren.

I have the Mamas and Papas Armadillo Flip XT with a Cybex Aton Q car seat. You could use a Maxi Cosi though.

I'd say that the most popular prams around here are iCandys and Oysters. Our back up choices were the Silver Cross Surf 2 or the Oyster2. I liked the quality feel of the M&P and Silvercross.

PotatosMum · 13/06/2016 07:30

Lillian that sonographer sounds awful! On the bright side they'll probably do most of the measurements again at your 32 week scan (they did at my 28 week) so you'll get the extra reassurance then.

Lauren no 4D for us. It's only 10 weeks 5 days until we see the baby in real 4D ShockGrin

Ok, let the torment of waiting to hear about the mortgage begin. I already feel stressed and I'm pretty sure if we do here today it won't be until much later Sad

After two days of being quite quiet I think Potato is back to normal today. She woke me up by rhythmically punching me in perfect time until I got out of bed... Thanks for that Potato Hmm
