PotatosMum · 01/06/2016 12:38

It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

Evergreen17 · 12/06/2016 05:53

Ahhh Smile rock&roll baby Co5mo!

Mileymoocow · 12/06/2016 06:08

Morning ladies, hope those of you who had a crap day yesterday have a better one today! Just back from airport run and now about to take the dog out in the pouring rain! Slightly depressing.

Had little sleep last night so me and OH are having a duvet day with crap telly. I can't wait for my lunchtime nap already

Newmrs22 · 12/06/2016 07:03

Morning ladies. Sorry some of you had a crap day yesterday. Hopefully today is better!

DH is away now until weds so I have a whole Sunday to myself. I can't decide what to do. I need to sort out two wardrobes but that doesn't feel very appealing... Any better suggestions welcome!

After baby's naughty no movement day on Wednesday s(he)s making up for it by kicking the hell out of me this morning. No way am I getting back to sleep. The days of lying in are well and truly behind me

Evergreen17 · 12/06/2016 07:37

New I have to do laundry, cleaning, cooking for the week and going for a run Envy so no suggestions from me

leoniethelioness · 12/06/2016 07:44

DH left for work without asking me up but sent me a lovely text to say I was sleeping and he didn't want to wake me. 💗💖 Ten minutes after he sent the text, one of my cats comes in wet and meowing loudly...

Had visitors yesterday including a very very cute three month old but a quiet day today. I am suffering from the most uncomfortable tailbone pain which got worse with my cleaning yesterday so I plan on mostly lying on the sofa in my pyjamas today. Season 6 of The Good Wife awaits... I'm trying to save some series for maternity leave - any Netflix recommendations?

Might order baby boy a bookcase for the nursery later too. The nursery is looking like a jumble sale at the moment though as we are waiting to move some things back to the guest room once it's been carpeted and haven't bought any nursery furniture. DH set up our second hand cotbed last night (donated by my cousin) and it is massive! I could probably fit in it if I curled up. I'm pleased with it though as I can only imagine baby as a mini version of his daddy and his daddy is 6'4" - I won't have to worry about him outgrowing it for a while!

Hope everyone has a lovely lazy Sunday xxx

leoniethelioness · 12/06/2016 07:46

New I need to do the same. I was going to put everything I can't wear this year in suitcases in the loft. I've outgrown most of my pyjamas now too but don't want to spend loads on maternity ones so need to get some big nighties or something from Asda or Primark before long. They are definitely needed for duvet days.

shelbTa · 12/06/2016 07:47

Morning ladies.

Just catching up after hen do yesterday Blush 12 hours with no drinking, challenging.

X

PotatosMum · 12/06/2016 07:54

Aww Miley thank for the offer of sanctuary... I'm slightly less crazy today, hoping it lasts Confused
Oh, and, I want your dog? Can I have your dog Grin we want a lab once we've got the house sorted and the baby is a bit older Smile

Sorry you're missing your holiday Sad

Planet yay! On putting in a offer, do you know when you're likely to get a response?
It was way, way, way, too hot yesterday for a bath but I might give one a go tonight.

Ever stop googling, that way madness lies!

So, my goal today is to not cry or get cross with anyone. Instead I'm going to go to Hobby craft (to make myself feel better), followed by getting a fan (so I don't roast tonight), finally followed by toys r us to look at baby chairs. Then I'm going to come home and pack my hospital bags so that I'm ready, just in case.

I desperately hope that we get our mortgage offer next week as I think the real reason I've been so hormonal this weekend is that the stress of trying to sort it out and not knowing if we're going to lose our lovely house, is now getting to me and I'm literally hanging on to my last nerve by a thread Sad

Yeah potato, mortgage stress would do it, it's bloody awful. The day you have planned sounds lovely - let us know what you put in your hospital bag.

IndiX · 12/06/2016 10:41

Hi ladies,
I'm sorry a few of you had a crappy day yesterday, I hope you have a nice relaxing Sunday whatever you get up to.
Potato I think you're right, the whole mortgage thing must be on your mind constantly at the mo, I hope you get an answer soon.
Ever step away from google, it's the worst thing to do in those first few weeks!

So DH and I went to a 1st birthday party yesterday, one of his cousin's kids, and most of his family and extended family were there. His family aren't the warmest/loving/caring type ( actually quite jealous of DH as he's done well and is pretty successful compared to the lot of them) and I'm used to that but I got really upset by a few things they said. Basically, they are very much a male dominated family and they were making out like they (or we should be) disappointed we're having a girl..comments like 'oh I thought it would be a boy' in a strange tone and DH's brother even 'joked' DH had 'shit sperm' becuase we are having a girl. Now I know that my BIL isn't the most intelligent or sensitive type but I was really upset that my baby's uncle would speak that way. As if my Beanie isn't good enough. The whole lot of them just seem disinterested and there were a few remarks or jokes that really hit a nerve. I had a cry and a big whinge to DH about it in bed last night and he felt the same. I just now feel like I don't even want Beanie to meet any of them, except FIL as he actually cares a bit, as THEY aren't worthy of my child's time.
I'm so glad my family ( even though they can get on my nerves sometimes) are so loving and excited and caring, thank god Beanie will have some good people in her life even if it's just from my side.
Sorry for long post, going to take the dogs for a big walk and clear my head a bit.

Mileymoocow · 12/06/2016 10:46

indi they sound incredibly jealous. I think that's the only reason they're being the way they are. Just ignore them, don't make the effort to care about their small minded opinions Flowers

leoniethelioness · 12/06/2016 10:59

India I imagine they will be better when baby is here

Evergreen17 · 12/06/2016 11:02

Indi I think I pity them for being that way. That joke is not funny and it speaks a lot about this person's intelligence anyway.
I would be quite upset if that happened to me.
They probably know your Beanie is already smarter than they are Wink and are jealous.
You dont need that kind of role models for her anyway.
I never see my mum's part of the family. Apart from my grandparents whom I loved, the rest I never liked, even as a child.
But as you say you have other family members too that are supportive and kind.
So screw them! Beanie is awesomeSmileSmileSmile

mayago · 12/06/2016 11:03

It was me going to Glastonbury Co5mo I'll only be 12 weeks, so don't think baby will cause any more chaos than normal Wink. That must have been an interesting experience feeling baby so responsive!

Potato I'm hoping to visit the midwives in the Green field for some down time. I'm going with a huge group of people I met there last year, and no one knows I'm pregnant yet. It's going to be an odd experience as I'll be the only one not drinking. I think I have the toilet situation sorted - we camp near the composting loos, which are a much better option, and I have made OH buy a tent I can stand in so I can have a portable toilet in the porch for the middle of the night wees Blush

Thanks for the sympathy guys. I have a new dilemma today - do I go to ex-MIL's funeral on Thursday or to the Coldplay concert we've been excited about since Christmas? I had my mind set not to go, then ex-FIL started messaging me on FB saying how much he'd like me there, as I was so close to his wife Sad First time I've spoken to the man in a year, and he's clearly a mess.

So many nice prams on here! We went to Toys R Us just after we had a BPF and 'test drove' a few. OH is settled on the Silver Cross Surf I think, but he has allergies to clothing dye so our choice of colours is limited. We will be waiting until after the 20 week scan so we know which team we're on!

leonie it's been awhile since I've gone on a Netflix binge, but last time it was Love I blitzed through. I whacked my tailbone when I fainted early on, and the pain has only just gone away! You have my sympathy, it's so painful!

I hope everyone is having a good day!

Evergreen17 · 12/06/2016 11:17

Thanks for the tip May I just started Love Smile

Evergreen17 · 12/06/2016 11:25

Confused

I guess maybe I am pregnant then Hmm

Grin
IndiX · 12/06/2016 12:48

Thanks girls. I just have to remember they are imbeciles and they're opinions mean bugger all to me or my life. Idiots.

Ever I hope you don't feel too bad and it passes, keep eating as much as you can it's weird but it's the only thing that helps.

Evergreen17 · 12/06/2016 13:49

Thanks Indi Smile It passed and I went for a run. But as I got home I had to run to the toilet BlushBlushBlushBlush
Is this another glamorous symptom?

Newmrs22 · 12/06/2016 15:12

So far I haven't managed to sort out the wardrobe but I have bought wedding presents and cards for two sets of firends and a few things for baby, sorted out a bit of life admin and had a nap. I need to do some filing. That's more appealing than tackling the wardrobe! Such an exciting day Grin

Indi they definitely sound jealous. Horrible people.

potato glad you are feeling a bit better. I'm sure the mortgage situation isn't helping. But fingers crossed it will be resolved soon.

ever glad the nausea passed. Hopefully it will stay away now!

PotatosMum · 12/06/2016 16:16

Indi your DHs family sound like jealous asses. I'd just avoid as much as possible and remember that you and beanie are obviously much better than them.

May I loved the composing toilets at Glastonbury. When I found them they were like a haven of cleanliness next to the otherwise grim long drops. I may have spent longer enjoying the civilisation of them than was necessarily normal... Whatever that is at Glastonbury Wink

I would actually give apologies and go to Coldplay. You haven't seen them for ages and if she hadn't died you probably wouldn't have heard from them for years more.

Ever I'll keep my fingers crossed you just feel a little sick and haven't got proper morning sickness as there is no cure ConfusedSad

So, went to hobby craft to get a cross stitch but they were all revolting so I thought I'd get a model kit instead... I'd picked one out, got the glue and the paint before I realised that the fumes wouldn't be good for me Hmm so I ended up coming away with no craft stuff while DSD convinced her dad to buy here a tiny counted cross stitch... Guess what I've been doing all afternoon? Bless her, she's trying very hard and doing very well but it is a bit too hard for her really.
On the bright side I've bought a shiny new fan for the bedroom and a cross stitch from eBay. I also bought some mesh for Potato's cot to stop her getting her arms or legs stuck.

My hips are still painful and I've got quite a lot of round ligament pain. Why doesn't anyone mention how painful pregnancy is? I also still feel like someone has kicked me in the foof Blush and I've had a couple of braxton hicks today too which are freaking OH out because he keeps asking me if they are definitely not real contractions. Confused I bloody hope not! I've got 11 weeks left yet!

Oh and TMI but is it wrong that one of the most satisfying things in my life right now is being able to have a poo Blush

Potatos I feel fine now Grin False alarm then? Maybe because I had eaten a bug meal then Smile

Evergreen17 · 12/06/2016 17:23

Potatos you inspired me to get ny knitting out

Newmrs22 · 12/06/2016 17:49

Potato I'm getting a lot of ligament and hip pain too. No Braxton hicks yet though. The joys of pregnancy!
