It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

Guys!!!! I found you!!!
Familiar faces!!!
Ok so... TTC for 8 months
35
I was getting upset so decided to relax and just focus on other things in life
Got engaged
But we were defo still trying
Went to GP last week to check blood tests and was told some hormone levels were wrong and that I most likely had PCOS and that I wasn't releasing mature eggs
So I was all ok, I shall wait for appointment for scans for my ovaries...
My period was two days late
An hour ago, I got this

Yay ever!!! So happy to see you here, this is fab news. Ask as many questions as you like, there are some seriously guru like ladies on this here thread. You must be so thrilled!! GrinGrin

Pinklily1 · 08/06/2016 22:17

Congratulations Ever! Welcome to the thread and the crazy world of pregnancy.

Not sure if we were on the TTC thread at the same time, so if not, by way of introduction - I'm Pink, age 33, 28+1 weeks pregnant with baby no.1, and Team Pink Smile

When I got my BFP I arranged a doctors appointment and doctor then dos a referral to the midwife, but I know in a lot of places you can go directly to the midwife too. Maybe call the doctors and let them know regardless, given you recent tests!

Evergreen17 · 08/06/2016 22:24

Thank you guys!!
Starky I was taking a break from everything and then learning about PCOS and now here I am! What the actual f€$¥!!!
So happy to see you here!
Also... Blush can I have a star? Period due yesterday and tested just now Smile
Planeteer so many questions!!! Ahhh still in shock but also cautious as the hormone levels were weird and I want to be cautious as anything can happen.
Hi Pink!
Thanks for the advice. I just booked an appointment with my Gp for the 21st, they didnt have anything sooner. But she is really lovely so I dont mind waiting a couple of weeks (is this ok)

I am feeling nausea but I know it is all in my head GrinGrin

Question: can I have coffee??? One in the morning??
What food not to have??! Confused

StarkyTheDirewolf · 08/06/2016 22:37

ever you can defo have several stars StarStarStarStarStar you can have coffee, up to 200mg of caffeine a day, nhs website have all kinda of info. Most importantly, don't stress, as there's no point at all! You'll still hear "babe just check on Google if I can have....." Grin hopefully it's not nausea and just excitement!

LillianFullStop · 08/06/2016 22:44

Congrats on the baby boy Lara!!! what wonderful news although a bit of a shock - you get to enjoy say 'he' and 'him' now Smile

Welcome ever nice to see you here!! That BFP is so overwhelming isn't it? I used this in the first instance for foods to avoid: www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/foods-to-avoid-pregnant.aspx. Also download Ovia pregnancy it has a food lookup feature!

I'm keeping to a 1 coffee a day limit - guidance is no more than 200mg a day but have a read of the NHS website because it gives you a chart of how much caffeine there is in tea/chocolate/soft drinks etc

LillianFullStop · 08/06/2016 22:46

planet my scan is 12.30pm on Friday!

potato glad things are on the up mortgage-wise Smile

IrregularCommentary · 08/06/2016 22:52

Planeteer · 08/06/2016 23:02

Question oh sling master guru Bunch: what sort of FB search terms have you used to find good preloved wraps and things? Am a FB group n00b and keen to see if there's a whole new world of bargains out there, particularly with slings.

Evergreen17 · 09/06/2016 06:55

GrinGrinSmile line keeps getting darker Grin
Ladies which books would you recommend? For me and the dad? GrinGrinGrin

Congrats and welcome Ever!

Planet haha love how I'm now the guru. These are the groups I'm in.
Cheap baby wearing slings and related items max £50 all in.
Slings and things FSOT and advice
Slings for sale new and preloved

Photos added so you can see what the group page looks like m. The cheap one is the best to start in for buying as everything is under £50. I find slings and things great for learning. Don't be shocked by the price you see slings going for. Some are in their hundreds Shock
Also look up your locks sling library on fb and join the group.

Ever I've really enjoyed reading the mumsnet guide to pregnancy, and now babies. Stay away from "what to do when you're expecting" as its really patronising.
Also I second getting the Ovia pregnancy app and Pregnancy +.

Evergreen17 · 09/06/2016 07:01

Thanks starky, lillian and irregular GrinGrin for the advice. I have been reading on the nhs site now.
And thanks for the StarStarStarSmileSmile
I havent slept for the past two nights Sad it this the poppy seed's work?
Ahhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhh

Evergreen17 · 09/06/2016 07:02

Thanks Bunch! Dont wanna be patronised! (Enough of that from the men in my team)

Evergreen17 · 09/06/2016 07:05

I got the ovia app. I feel bad as we used to hate Ovia GrinGrin

Feefeefs · 09/06/2016 07:37

Congratulations Lara.

Yay potato! Sounds positive!!

Glad everyone's 28 week appts went well.

Congrats ever delighted for you.

Mileymoocow · 09/06/2016 07:49

Morning ladies!

Congratulations ever!!!!! What brilliant news and even better when you're least expecting it Grin you will get to know that anything can be put down to being pregnant, so your lack of sleep may well be. One cup of coffee is fine, I usually have 2 cups of tea a day or 1 cup of coffee. I thought it was 300mg a day at first but that's in America Blush

LisaTheSimpson · 09/06/2016 07:54

Ever!!!! What a lovely surprise to wake up and see you here!

I'm so pleased for you, congratulations! StarStarStar

leoniethelioness · 09/06/2016 08:00

Yes, don't worry about the caffeine - just keep within the limits. I drink decaff but sometimes a one shot latte and I'm a bit addicted to Coke (anything sugary) so I often drink decaff hot drinks so I can indulge in a can... Blush I just can't get enough sugar. It's not good - I think it's down to wanting high calorie foods for energy. Waistline is certainly expanding as a result...

Danni89 · 09/06/2016 08:03

Congrats and welcome Ever!!Flowers

Mileymoocow · 09/06/2016 08:24

leonie I'm the same with sugar, it's like I need it. I had 3 donuts yesterday Blush

Anyone who had morning sickness: is anyone still being sick on the odd occasion? I can go 2 or 3 days at a time now but then I get a day where I'm vomiting again.

Planeteer · 09/06/2016 08:35

I'm another sugar fiend at the moment. Craved salty stuff earlier on but now can't get enough of the sweet stuff. The amount of haribo I'm getting through is embarrassing!

Bunch thanks for those groups and pics. Will get joining and researching.

LisaTheSimpson · 09/06/2016 08:37

Yes, Miley, same here. Safe to say I am SO much better now, but every few days I still vomit a bit. Luckily though, it seems to come without nausea, which actually means it's not that bad. I just suddenly get the urge to retch a bit Hmm

Another sugar hound here. It's really weird for me because I usually have hardly any sugar. I just don't have much of a sweet tooth. Yesterday at work I really wanted a chocolate bar - I don't think I've had one in months! I had to stand for ages in the shop trying to decide which one I wanted...
