PotatosMum · 01/06/2016 12:38

It's time for another TTC#1 grads thread, with an ever increasing population of new arrivals, old hands and veterans we're moving thick and fast.

The first TTC#1 veterans are waddling their way into the third trimester this thread, with the promise of maternity leave to come, getting them through the day.

No subject is taboo, no TMI is too much, bump pictures, baby scans and photos of cute baby stuff are encouraged.

All are welcome so take your place on team blue, pink or vanilla for another TTC#1 grads thread!

Potato there is still hope at least. You shouldn't need to re do the survey surely, as you have paid for it as long as it's within whatever time frame the potential next mortgage company set it'll still stand no?

PotatosMum · 07/06/2016 07:21

Bunch we're not having surveys as the property is under 10 years old and there's no environmental factors and they haven't changed anything.
The mortgage company do need to do a valuation though which we pay for but don't get to keep Sad
I'm not sure the mortgage company will believe us RE the dates, it depends how convincing our mortgage advisor was. Also we've had to pay fees to our mortgage advisor which we won't get back expensive fees but we'll have to go to a different advisor to try again as she only has one company on her books that will accept poor credit.

I just can't believe we've wasted a month on this company. We told them at least 5 times we couldn't provide this info so why they couldn't just turn us down at the start so we could look elsewhere I don't know.

Feeling really down. We've got our 28 week scan today and I can't even get excited about that because I'm too busy worrying about whether we'll have a home, whether we'll need to pull out of the sale and purchase, where we'll go if we do go ahead with the sale. I've had horrible experiences renting and it's soul destroying thinking that we might have to come off the housing ladder. Also with house prices the way they are there's a good chance that if we do come off the housing ladder we'll be priced out of anything suitable in the area we want very quickly. Busy pulling my hair out Sad

Oh Potato I really feel for you. Flowers I'm sorry you're having such a shitty time of it. Once you get to the scan and see her little face you will feel better. It's all for her in the end and it will be worth all the shit.

shelbTa · 07/06/2016 08:14

Oh potato I really feel for you - I went through similar stress last year and wasn't upduffed. It's so stressful, I hope it works out. You'll love the scan once you get there Flowers

Stark - Dorothy Perkins have some decent online mat stuff.

Pain relief - anything I can get my hands on apart from the epidural I think, I dunno something about spines really freaks me out - having said that when I'm rolling around in agony I may change my mind.

So the baby has definitely moved less than normal over the past 24 hours, I'm going to give her today to perk up, can't help but worry a bit but she has done this before so she's got form...

X

Planeteer · 07/06/2016 08:18

Potato I'm so sorry! What a total shitter. Have they told you when you'll hear if the appeal's been successful? Such an infuriating technicality. When we had address based mortgage trouble a few years ago (from not living in the UK for 3 consecutive years), we used a broker to help find a mortgage lender as so many people wouldn't touch us. They were free of charge as they took their cut from the bank, not from us. Want me to pm you their details just to see if they can shine a light on any other options?

Hope your scan goes well today. Thinking of you and sending Flowers and Chocolate. Property is a total pita!

Pinklily1 · 07/06/2016 08:22

Oh Potato, sorry to hear they are messing you around so much. They obviously don't think about the stress that it causes those applying for a mortgage. Fingers crossed everything works out for you. And try and enjoy your scan today - hopefully something to take your mind off the mortgage Flowers

Did you get your diabetes test results yesterday or so you have to wait for them?

I'm 28 weeks today so joining T3 - scary! Just had my whooping cough jab too and it was fine, hopefully there won't be any side effects.

Off to buy industrial stretch maternity pads at lunch time, need to start ticking some things off my ever growing list Shock

Hope everyone is ok.

PotatosMum · 07/06/2016 08:22

Shelb Potato has an annoying habit of being really active one day and then doing bugger all the next... OH informs me that she's taking after me Hmm

I know we can sort this mortgage stuff out one way or another it's just the waiting is killing me now. If the answer is going to remain no then I wish they would just tell us so that we can make alternative arrangements. If the answer is going to change to yes given the new information then I wish they'd get on and tell us so that I can start working on a new plan. I'm just no good at all at sitting around and waiting, I'm too much of a see a problem, fix it, type person. Also, I'm scared we'll lose the house anyway if the vendors think we're going to struggle.
I might call a couple of mortgage advisors and ask for advice today.

Pinklily1 · 07/06/2016 08:24

shelb, I've noticed baby goes a bit quieter every so often - I was getting worried yesterday but she seems to have perked up last night. I wondered if she was running out of space to wiggle so much!

PotatosMum · 07/06/2016 08:25

Planet yes please, that would be really good Smile

Pink congrats on T3 Smile

I should get my diabetes test results today or tomorrow. Hoping they're fine as the last thing I need right now is to be told no chocolate! Shock

Mileymoocow · 07/06/2016 08:41

pink my cousin had had little one there and said it was great except for one midwife. She said she'd still be in labour now if she hadn't finished her shift. I know who to look for though so hopefully all will be well.

I think I'll look into the hypnobirthing book, thank you Smile I'm not worried about pain, just about having a c section and PND. I'm such a wuss, I can't understand why people choose to have section haha.

Having a cup of decaf in the garden, it's already hit 20 degrees. Off to work for 4 hours then off until a week on Monday. Happy days.

Potato I'm completely gutted for you, but you're not out until you're out. Keep positive, surely it can't be all down the shitter because of something as minor as that? Hope your scan goes well and manages to cheer you up Smile

Has anyone had any cravings? I feel like a bit of a freak everyone someone asks me what I'm craving and I tell them nothing!

Also, one of my best friends from school got married and his wife added me on Facebook. She's 12 weeks pregnant and has HG too. Poor lamb Sad asked me for advice and there's literally none I can give that will help ease it.

LisaTheSimpson · 07/06/2016 08:53

Potato, just to add my sympathies on the mortgage front. What a fucking pain! And as you say, you were up front from the start about the information you had, so so frustrating for them to go ahead and then make a fuss about it a month down the line. Fingers crossed another company can help if they can't.

Miley - no cravings here, either! It's a question I always get asked and I wish I had a more interesting answer!

Pink - congratulations on the third trimester! Eek!

Beautiful day, today! Hope everyone has a lovely day in the sunshine

Planeteer · 07/06/2016 10:23

Have messaged you potato. Smile

Pink congrats on T3! There's quite a crop of you now. Exciting!

IrregularCommentary · 07/06/2016 11:34

Potato that sounds really rough. I'd be pulling my hair out with this crap - I hope one way or the other the mortgage company give you a final answer so you can at least start doing something practical about it again.

Miley no cravings here either. There's no scientific evidence for them, looking into it, so perhaps not as surprising as you may think.

Has anyone else experienced the joy of boob leakage? I had a small amount of clear liquid on Sunday night when I was sat on the sofa - suddenly realised my top was wet in a nice neat circle round my right nipple.

Am now too paranoid to leave the house without pads in my bra! Please tell me I'm not alone, I wasn't expecting this quite so early... (22+5 today)

PotatosMum · 07/06/2016 13:16

Miley I have had cravings but they change every few days.

Planet thanks Smile

Irregular no boob leakage here Confused

So, scan went well. No photo Sad but Potato is smack bang on target as far as size is concerned and is also in perfect head down position (so she's punching me instead of kicking me Hmm)
My fibroid has shrunk back to 10cm but is still "alive".
I've got another scan at 34 weeks.

I've started investigating new mortgages so that if the current one is rejected we can move on straight away.

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 07/06/2016 13:29

Woohoo Potato! Glad to hear she's where she should be and is the right size. Was it nice to see her again?

I haven't had craving per say but get in the mood for certain things. I mostly NEED sugar all the time but today I've needed to eat all the malt loaf in the house. I've had 6 slices. There's still 3 left but my stomach is bubbling so think I best steer clear.

Irregular no leakage noticeable here but twice I've had very minor yellow crusting in the morning. Yummy

Sodasoda · 07/06/2016 13:38

potato I know you must be gutted about the mortgage but I hope seeing baby cheered you up. Great news that she's all on track! Out of interest can you see a lot of detail? I've got my 28 week growth scan in 2 weeks so just wondering.

No cravings here either really but agree - people always ask that! But I have gone off some foods.

irregular I had boob leakage around 16 weeks bizarrely but only for a couple of days. I've had a couple of crusty days too recently but nothing major.

Congrats on T3 pink!

So a guy at work has been on holiday the last 2 weeks. First thing he said when he walked through the door today? 'Bloody hell, you've got massive since I last saw you' Err thanks. How is that ok?! Hmm

PotatosMum · 07/06/2016 14:18

Bunch yes, it was good to see Potato again. Cheered me up a little bit.

Soda yes, there is a lot more detail. Bones are more defined and clear, could even see ribs clearly which I'm sure we couldn't last time. When they do the head measurement you can clearly see the structure of the brain and of course you can see face and hands etc. but because the scanner sees through the fleshy bits they still look like aliens Wink just much bigger, heavier aliens.

I'm glad she's in the proper position. I was a little worried about that but it looks like she's going to be nice and well behaved and at least I now know what I'm poking lol

Ignore annoying work guy. People are idiots. Hmm

We have to got to OHs brothers tonight for one of his kids birthdays... The ex-wife will be there. I need to refrain from telling her to piss off or punching her Hmm I'm not entirely sure I'm up to this challenge.
If she tries being pally with me like she's been known to I might just have to kill her Angry in case it's not fairly obvious, she is the cause of our recent issues

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 07/06/2016 14:27

soda it's definitely not ok. Tell him he's bigger since the last time you saw him, too. I had the same thing at work, people telling me I'm big now, also got told my bum is growing just as quickly as my belly!

I'm home and in the garden enjoying a massive bowl of cherries, raspberries and strawberries after a packet of jaffa cakes were expecting thunder showers, typically.

potato I figured she'd be the culprit. I'm definitely a speak as you find sort of person so I'd be no good in your situation. Good luck not punching her Wink

My auntie has just miscarried at 12 weeks and I'm so sad for her. She does have 2 lovely boys, but lost another little boy at 7 months so she's had such a rough time of it.

BunchOfBobs · 07/06/2016 15:14

Soda people can be so rude, though if you're anything like me you'll also get offended when people say you look small. Can't win with me Wink

Miley expecting thunder here too, though it feels a lot less muggy now than it did earlier and last night so there may not be any thunder for me. Shame, I love a good thunder storm and it'll save me watering the garden.

Potato I did wonder if it was the ex from hell who had caused the issues. I say punch her anyway. She totally deserves it and it may help you feel better Wink

Congrats and welcome to T3 Pink Grin

I just read a "things you need for baby" on Tommys midwives and they say you only NEED 6 sleepsuits and 6 vests. Well I have far too much stuff clearly!

Fell in love with a striped balcony and White sleepsuit when I was at my parents but it had "been inside 9 months" a la prison suit on it. Bought it anyway and just covered it up with a patch. It won't be to everyone's taste but I ADORE it. I think this will be Pips coming home outfit squeeeee!!!!

PotatosMum · 07/06/2016 15:26

Miley that's so sad about your aunti Sad

Thunder is predicted here too... Feeling really hot and sticky so I'll be glad to get the air cleared!

I tend to have a problem with my mouth engaging before consulting my brain. I may have to sit with my mouth firmly closed and my hands pinned beneath my bum!!!

Bunch I can't punch the ex until after next Thursday when we get all the proceeds from the house sale... After that she's fair game Wink

That sleep suit is really cute Smile you have managed to buy/make so many cool little outfits Grin

BunchOfBobs · 07/06/2016 15:41

Crap completely got to say sorry about your auntie Miley. I don't even want to imagine what she has gone through and is going through. Flowers for her.

Potato roll on a week Thursday Wink
Thank you, I'm pretty chuffed with them. I blame my lack of working. I've had to keep myself busy and from going insane. I've cut out the remaining fabric for the rest of my tiny harem pants so that will be 9x 0-6 month sized and 8x 6month to 4 year pfft doubt it. I've just got the larger sized waistband and cuffs to cut out but my hips are protesting being on the floor now. The I have a mere 15 pairs to sew Shock.

Mileymoocow · 07/06/2016 17:58

Thanks ladies, I'm really gutted for her. Think they're going to stop at 2 and call it a day. I kinda agree it's for the best, not sure they would cope with more heartbreak.

I can't stop eating today, I've been horrendously unhealthy! Kick up the ass is definitely needed Blush

bunch that sleepsuit is amazing! Definitely my taste. I'm off to sort through my stash tonight, all we have is cream and lemon stuff. The downside of having a vanilla baby!

leoniethelioness · 07/06/2016 18:52

Sorry to hear about your aunt, Miley.

The air conditioning was broken in work today so I was not a very happy bunny. I decided to book some leave as a result so I'm doing three weeks of 3 day weeks now (if it's approved) before my 2 weeks of annual leave and maternity leave begins!

PotatosMum · 07/06/2016 19:50

Bunch sounds like you're going to be busy.

Miley if you are ever going to just eat rubbish in large quantities and not worry about it, now is the time!

Leonie holiday sounds like a good plan Smile

What happened to the lovely rain that was forecast? Sat around in bra and pants trying not to expire from the heat Sad

So, we only hung around at the party long enough to give OHs Niece her card and be polite. Ex was buzzing around and kept trying to be part of our little group, I managed not to kill her but it was a close thing. I just can't even look at the woman without being angry.

OH is making an effort not to brood on the mortgage by coming to terms with the fact that we might lose the house. I'll be so upset if we do, I really have fallen in love with it but it is a distinct possibility.
Sorry, I know I keep going on about it, it's just very difficult to think of anything else Confused

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 07/06/2016 20:00

Ok so I've gone through baby stuff and we have an abundance of sleepsuits and short sleeved bodysuits. Definitely not buying any more until we know what flavour she says as she is looking at Disney store online. We also have 5 pram blankets due to my enormous family mass buying so one is coming to hospital for baby to lie on and it will then be given to the pooch.

God I really should write a list of things we need...
