All these scan pics are making me feel excited/nervous/jealous/impatient!!
However I feel really lucky not to have actually been sick with all your sick bags etc Sad xx

SolomanDaisy · 02/06/2016 21:41

Congratulations on your no nap day Bigamy, we've both done well!

barkingtreefrog · 03/06/2016 05:24

When does the insomnia go?! I used to be an 8+ hours sleep a night person, now I'm really lucky to get 5-6 hours. I really miss my sleep!!!! Just feel permanently like a zombie.

Theaks · 03/06/2016 07:36

More scan pictures! Yay they are lovely. I'm sorry for all the ladies having bad sickness- it's horrible! I believe my sickness is tailing off now. Saw the midwife yesterday and heard his/hers heartbeat. It was lovely. DH wasn't there but midwife told me to record it, so he was pleased to hear the little one when he returned from work. Also booked in my 20 week scan. 13th July is ages away!!!!!!

lmccorriston · 03/06/2016 08:14

Just joined, not sure how it works but think this will be really helpful! :)

bumbleclat · 03/06/2016 08:28

Nuttypops thanks, I missed the 8am phone call for drs appointment yesterday due to waking from 4am-6am then falling into a Very deep sleep until 10- it was worth it though and yesterday I felt quite alright until about 4 which was not too too bad.

I will go to Drs today though, to get some anti-nausea tablets because I've basically been bed-bound for the past week because of it.

I've got 28 school reports to write and a whole terms worth of planning to do, not to mention a house to clean and pets to clean out 😷

How is running my life even possible in these conditions!?

Roxy2307 · 03/06/2016 08:50

So lovely to see lots of lovely scans.
I hope those feeling so poorly reach the other side soon. Still some nausea here but nothing compared to lots of you so feeling quite grateful.

We had our 12w scan yesterday. Baby was very wriggly but cooperated enough to get all the measurements they needed. Everything was fine, except that baby appears to have a slightly hyperplastic (unsure of spelling) nasal bone which increases our risks of Downs but if our baby has an extra little surprise for us then so be it! Our risk is still so low so trying not to worry too much. They will have a better idea at the 20w scan.
Has anyone one else had this at all?

SouthDownsSunshine · 03/06/2016 08:51

bumble I think sometimes you have to accept that you can't!

puppythedog · 03/06/2016 09:38

barking Mrsthedog found better in middle trimester and the worse in the last. Then the fourth just fucked it all into a cocked hat for us both.

TinySalmon · 03/06/2016 09:40

Oh dear bumble hope you get an appointment today!

I can sympathise... I'm 11+3 today and as soon as I woke up was sick. Didn't even have time to make it another bathroom and threw up in the en-suite so poor DP had to hear the whole thing too! 😷

When will it end?!

Azure83 · 03/06/2016 10:06

roxy I asked about the nasal bone during our scan and the sonographer said "we don't do it here" which left me a bit unimpressed! Sorry, I'm not being very helpful but I think it's good that at least they looked at it and gave you more info.

Bigfam · 03/06/2016 10:44

lmccorriston welcome Smile

Left over pizza for breakfast. Mmmmmm Grin

NotAClue82 · 03/06/2016 11:03

Welcome imccorriston! Congrats on your pregnancy. Do you know your due date yet?

TipBoov · 03/06/2016 11:37

12 week scan this morning (well, 13+2) and baby is fine, lots of jumping around!

ElodieS · 03/06/2016 11:44

Welcome lmccorriston! How are you doing?

Glad to hear you had a good scan TipBoov.

I've been in GOSH overnight with DT1 and likely to be in for the next couple of weeks for IV anti-biotics after her cold escalated into a proper chest infection yesterday evening. Keeping fingers crossed for a nice short stay and our favourite play specialist being in today.

SouthDownsSunshine · 03/06/2016 11:53

I hope your twin makes a rapid recovery elodie

A midwife called with my Downs test result. Odds are 1:120. I'm not going for the amnio, and probably not harmony but I need to discuss with dh. We'll get an in depth consultant led scan at 20 weeks.

For those that like numbers, the results are:

NT: 2.6
HCG: 1.83
PAPP-A: 1.23

Angshore · 03/06/2016 12:04

Hi ladies can I join you?

I am 11+3 12 week scan is scheduled for Tuesday! This is our 2nd pregnancy as a result of IVF, we lost our first little boy to a genetic disease when he was 2 so this pregnancy is so precious to us ☺️

I hope you are all well and wish you all healthy happy pregnancies!

Xx

Bigfam · 03/06/2016 12:34

Oh your poor little one elodies, hope everything's OK x

Angshore congrats and welcome to you, good luck for you scan Tuesday (I've got mine the same day!)

Sorry to hear of the loss of your special little boy. Hugs & Flowers x

Theaks · 03/06/2016 12:45

south I don't understand those numbers. We didn't get ours because baby wouldn't stay still. Does that mean your high or low?

swancourt · 03/06/2016 12:57

Hi ladies,

Thinking of switching onto the January thread- I have had two scans now and both have placed my due date at 3rd January, so prob better off there! But I'll miss you! It's been a really good support on here :) Good luck to all! I think some of you are over there too, so see you there x

SolomanDaisy · 03/06/2016 13:02

South, are you worried? I am a bit, my odds were something like 1 in 285. When other people are getting results in the 1000s I think it's natural to feel a bit concerned, even though 1 in 120 is still a very low chance. It looks like it's your HcG levels which are affecting yours (it's the PAPP-A for me).

Elodie, that must be so worrying! You sound like you're very used to the hospital, I hope she's better soon.

Roxy, my understanding is the nasal bone is a very soft indicator and far less reliable than the other things the triple test looks at.

Angshore, welcome, I'm sorry about your little boy.

ElodieS · 03/06/2016 13:13

Thanks SouthDowns, and sorry to hear your results were higher than you might have liked. Like Solomon said though, the chances are still actually very low.

Welcome Angshore and congratulations! Sorry to hear of your previous loss, it's very sad.

Best of luck to you too Swan!

Thanks all for the sweet messages, both my girls have cystic fibrosis so we're reasonably used to having to come in for IV antibiotics and lots of physio every now and again. It's rubbish for them as they can't have much contact with each other when one of them is poorly, but with a bit of luck we'll be out in no time.

Bigfam · 03/06/2016 13:22

Bless them, I bet they're miserable when their apart? Fingers crossed you're home soon x

I'm going to have to let the team down today SolomanDaisy, nap time is calling Wink

SouthDownsSunshine · 03/06/2016 13:58

I'm a bit concerned about the result, but at the end of the day, a baby with downs syndrome would still be a blessing and wonderful addition to our family.

TipBoov · 03/06/2016 14:42

So sorry for your loss angshore xx
