Forgot to say, that in the pic mini monster has got his/her legs crossed like a little Buddha!

Bigfam · 10/06/2016 18:34

FluffyPickleMonster bless. The sonographer pointed out baby bigfam did that at my scan as well, maybe it's comfy Grin

Thanks becci, at this point I've got no choice but to take them, I can't eat or sleep other wise Sad

firawla · 10/06/2016 20:11

hannahjh I'm reading this www.amazon.co.uk/Expecting-Baby-Born-Every-Minute/dp/1849493154 - it's a massive book! So very comprehensive, I wouldn't say it's too early!

Peanut2904 · 10/06/2016 20:29

Hi.

Can I join? Grin
I'm a newbie due with 2nd baby at the end of December.

Best wishes for all due to have their scans soon.

Minispringroll · 10/06/2016 21:03

Can I join, too? Due date is 11th December.
We had a scan at 6 weeks to make sure it wasn't another ectopic, then a reassurance scan at 10 weeks. Finally made it to official dating scan as well. Smile Nearly 14 weeks now and baby was very wriggly. It kept doing somersaults and it was quite difficult to do any measurements. (Managed eventually, though, and luckily all came back low risk.)
Glad that I don't have the only poorly behaved bean. It wasn't keen on having pictures taken at all. (It had been so serene at the 10 week scan and merely leasurely waved at us...)

HannahJH · 10/06/2016 21:07

Minispringroll we are due date buddies!! Big congrats on a healthy scan! My little one wasn't at all cooperative for pics either!! Xx

bumbleclat · 10/06/2016 21:08

Gorgeous pictures ladies!

Looking forward to my scan on Monday Grin

Just threw up everything I'd eaten today Sad which was weird as it's usually just been stomach acid.

I had a really odd day yesterday where I didn't take the anti nausea tablets and felt really great- like my old self again and tonight it's come back with avengeance Sad

Anyway 12 week Mark so maybe things will start to look up.

Anyone else still Mrs Vom Vom?

BowSurprise · 10/06/2016 22:09

Hi everyone such great news with all the positive scans.
Are people still taking their vitamins in the 2nd trimester?

TinySalmon · 10/06/2016 22:21

bumble still vomming over here at 12+3. Just threw up my hot chocolate and fear there's more to come later tonight.

bowsurprise just my Pregnacare but nothing else x

firawla · 10/06/2016 22:34

bowsurprise I'll take vitamins the whole way through, can't do any harm!

ermmm · 10/06/2016 22:58

Still being sick here aswell.
The anti sickness seemed to have helped a little a few days but am actually bringing up what I ate.
Gutted as ampreparing lovely favourites meals but can't enjoy them.

becciandbump · 10/06/2016 23:26

Morning everyone, I've just discovered this group. I hope I can join!
I had my first scan yesterday and I was told my due date has moved from 11th December to Christmas Eve! I guess I was a bit off in my calculation! Christmas is certainly going to be interesting this year :)

duxb · 11/06/2016 07:59

Hi all - amazing to see so many scan photos as we go through the month. Incredible! 16 weeks today and feel not at all pregnant - midwife on Monday so fingers crossed she will reassure me (I'm trying so hard not to buy a Doppler!)

At Derren brown tonight before hubs goes to Portugal for a few days with work. I'm hoping I can hold in m my pee for intervals - drawing attention to myself at Derren Brown doesn't feel like a wise idea! X

hiccup223 · 11/06/2016 09:04

Exciting day yesterday- made it to 12w scan and as it turns out it was exactly 12w. Due date 23 Dec so moved back a few days.
Very wriggly and uncooperative so had to do some jumping and jiggling to get it in the right place for measurements. All low risk though :)
So relieved and starting to tell people now too.
Glad to see everyone else's lovely news and hang in there to anyone still waiting for the scan.
Very surreal and still doesn't feel completely real yet especially seeing it moving and hearing heartbeat!. Symptoms pretty much gone too except a small podge and massive boobs!
Considering starting to shop now... So exciting- lots of Christmas bundles of joy!

bumbleclat · 11/06/2016 09:26

TinySalmon sorry you're still sick, I brought up a hot chocolate the other day too! Have you noticed and pattern to it? E.g. If it's fatty or milky you throw up?

I find it completely random. On Tursafay for the first time in months I went out for dinner, had a starter, steak and chips and a dessert (as I was so excited not to feel sick) and nothing happened.

Last night I had some kettle crisps and dip and for lunch a quinoa salad and had the most appalling sickness.

I can't seem to find a pattern although exhaustion after a whole week at school doesn't help.

Hope you fe better soon.

cnchapmanxx · 11/06/2016 10:06

Morning girls
Lovely scans :) got my results back today for downs, Edwards and patau and all low risk 1 in 50,000 so all good!
Fell asleep at half 8 last night didn't wake up til 9 this morning anyone else absolutely zonked?? All the time??? 😀

Theaks · 11/06/2016 10:14

duxb I feel the same I'm 15.5 today and not feeling pregnant anymore. In that stage where sickness gone but not feeling movements yet. Actually miss my sickness! Strange!!

Minispringroll · 11/06/2016 10:51

Hi Hannah. Grin Whereabouts are you?

My nausea went at some point last week. I've never actually been sick. (My mum and nan never had any sickness with any of their children.) Feeling fine at the moment but get what I assume are stretching pains every so often. Still tired and actually fell asleep on the sofa last night after dinner.

bumbleclat I find school quite tiring, too, although it seems to have gotten better with the start of the new term. Few more weeks until the summer holidays. We'll get there eventually...Smile

Still taking my vitamins. I have been taking the pre-conception ones previously for quite some time, though, since it's taken us ages to get to this point. My packet says that it's ok to take throughout pregnancy.

Thisisbonkers · 11/06/2016 11:30

I've not been able to take the multivitamins because they make me gag/puke, so have just had folic acid with vitamin d. Midwife said to stop the folic acid? But given the pregnancy vits have it in, it's not doing any harm? I want to keep up the vit d!

Minispringroll · 11/06/2016 12:19

I wasn't even aware that I needed vit D until the midwife asked about it (it's in the multivitamin anyway) because I usually spend quite a bit of time outside (teach lots of PE/Games/outdoor learning).
Thisisbonkers Is it all multivitamins that are making you feel like that? I know Pregnacare make me feel really sick, but I'm fine with Seven Seas.

Bigfam · 11/06/2016 15:26

Hi and congrats to newbies Grin

Taking vitamin d is a new to me (in this pregnancy) I wasn't advised to during my last 2 years ago, the advice changes all the time though. I was saying to dp how much more detailed my 12 week scan was compared to just two years ago as well.

OrianaBanana · 11/06/2016 15:54

I find swallowing them very hard, they seem to trigger my gag reflex. I do get them down eventually Smile

weechops · 11/06/2016 17:29

becciandbump I had diastasis recti with my 2nd baby. He was huge and I had an emergency section with him so no idea if any of that was a contributing factor. I was referred to physio but I think it was too late. The exercises didn't seem to help much at all, and 5 years later I can still push my fingers right into the gap (sorry, yuk I know)
It doesn't really bother me day to day but can look a bit weird when I'm in a 'sit-up' position. Didn't affect my last pregnancy at all either.

bigfam I was quite surprised to get a tub of vitamin D at the booking in too! Def didn't get that 2 years ago here either.

I have taken a notion for chinese tonight, which the kids are thrilled about Grin so just waiting for it to arrive. Will probably feel all bloated and windy afterwards, but I'm planning to enjoy the moment!

barkingtreefrog · 11/06/2016 19:03

Hello to the newbies!
14+1 today and headaches still a nightmare.
Gave in and bought a Doppler, I think I found the right heartbeat!
Still totally exhausted, waiting for this lovely 2nd trimester to kick in!!!
