Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

magic I had nosebleeds in the first and second trimesters nut not now so maybe just give them a quick call to just put your mind at rest but like others have said I think it's just one if those pregnancy things x

I'm gonna try for a nap in a bit I think once he comes down . Unfortunately there isn't anywhere else for him to sleep other then the sofa lol
I'm hoping by getting up with the kids and letting him have a good sleep he might not be as shattered today and not snore as much fingers crossed x
Thanx for not making me feel like I'm just being mean and moody x

ILovePies · 31/05/2016 09:32

Oh clarish try and rest up as much as possible today lovely! Thinking of you, it really is so exhausting especially when you haven't managed to sleep.
magic i suffered badly with nose bleeds in the first 2 trimesters, but haven't had any since. I would probably give the midwife a call just to put your mind at rest. Hope you're okay xx
spock i don't know either! Definitely motivation to push!

mrsmugoo · 31/05/2016 10:05

Congratulations Torf! Absolutely lovely news!

libertygirl · 31/05/2016 10:19

AmIseeingRight · 31/05/2016 10:21

Morning ladies and congratulation torf and all the new other mamas, can't believe how many June babes have been born in May Smile.

So glad that they have been so many positive birth stories on here and many more to come. Good luck ladies and see you all in the postnatal thread soon. Flowers

laughingGnomette · 31/05/2016 10:38

Congratulations to everyone who had their baby over the bank holiday weekend! Xx

cautiousoptimist1 · 31/05/2016 10:45

Congratulations torf, hope you're both doing well.

clarish I've had 2 awful nights sleep as well but my DH is in the spare room already! I wake up every 2-3 hours for the bathroom and it takes an hour to get back to sleep. Baby gave me a real kicking last night too, one kick really hurt! I'm trying to keep busy today hoping that if I don't snooze during the day, I'll sleep better at night.

Cartooner · 31/05/2016 11:17

Congrats to the new babies! Enjoy those glasses of champagne, well earned and i love the birth stories they are great for motivation.

dollydaydream84 · 31/05/2016 13:06

huge congratulations Torfinn fantastic news and great story!!

clarish hope you are feeling better soon and manage to get some rest. You aren't mean or moody, you are very pregnant, exhausted and require some much needed rest Flowers

magicducky I would ring midwife as its a new symptom!

Feeling really sick here today. Stomach was off last night, I suspect IBS but not sure. Cannot wait to stop feeling sick, feeling sorry for myself! Off to see the consultant later so hoping I come back with at least one plan.

MadrigalElectromotive · 31/05/2016 13:54

Place marking after I completely fell off the last thread when DD was born. Lovely to see news of so many babies. Flowers to you all.

DD is 2 weeks old tomorrow and we are starting to get on top of the feeding after a bit of a slow start. She was very jaundiced and sleepy so I had to keep waking her to feed but she's getting the idea now. Smile

Will try to stay more on top of the thread now but life with a newborn is crazy busy! Grin

I called the midwife and had to go in to get monitored for a bit as I'd not really had much movement from baby on top of the sickness and nosebleed. They want to send me for a scan tomorrow and are checking my blood work as we speak. They said something about glucose in my urine. Not really sure what came of that, but I'm guessing they're not too worried. I was allowed to go home as I live so close to the hospital. Feeling a bit better and baby's heartbeat was good and stable. Once on the monitor I felt a bit of movement, but advised to go in again if it doesn't pick up as it's nowhere near the crazy dancing I've been used to.

I'm so tired of being sore and sick. I just want to meet my baby now.

cautiousoptimist1 · 31/05/2016 14:31

Glad you got a bit of reassurance magic, hope everything is ok.

I had my home visit from the breastfeeding support team today and am so far really impressed with their support. I've told them I want to try BF but am completely open to going for FF if it's not working for me or baby and she was fine. She said that they're available to support either way and if I wanted to stop, they'd be there to make sure it was handled properly and safely. One of the team will come to the house again on the first day back at home and see how it's going, they apparently have 2 weeks to establish that my body is doing what it should be and if that means a home visit every weekday during those 2 weeks then that's what they do. I'm feeling really hopeful and positive about it having heard so many stories of new mums just being left to it.

Spock27 · 31/05/2016 14:58

Magic I hope the scan goes well! That was what I was experiencing at the weekend (except the nosebleeds) and everything ended up fine but it was important to get checked. I think baby was having a growth spurt which is why it was quiet - legs were so sore yesterday as if there was suddenly a much bigger weight there! Let us know how you get on Smile

strawberrypenguin · 31/05/2016 16:13

Hope the scan goes well tomorrow magic good that they were able to give you some reasurance today as well.

dollydaydream84 · 31/05/2016 17:48

Good luck magic for tomorrow hope scan goes well xx

Eastend2015 · 31/05/2016 17:48

Congratulations torf!

Question all- I think the baby may have dropped, I am feeling sporadic pressure on a nerve on the inside of my left thigh/ groinal area like when you bang your funny bone. Anyone else had this? How do I make it stop?! 😫😖

nehagarg · 31/05/2016 20:32

Congratulations Torf. Glad all is well. :)

Good luck with the scan tomorrow magic

Anyone know how long baby brain is supposed to last after giving birth? Rishi is 15 days today and this morning I cut up a bunch of fruits and then put all the peels in a box and stuck the box in the fridge. DH has been laughing at me all day. Blush

ILovePies · 31/05/2016 20:50

Hope scan goes well tomorrow magic
cautious that is fantastic, it's so great you'll have lots of support!
nehagarg I'm sorry to tell you, it never goes away! Your brain will be mush for years to come!

earlgreydrinker · 31/05/2016 21:34

Ha ha no nehgarg that's it, your brain is now stuck in baby mode!

Congratulations torf

Went and did the weekly shop and it's just such hard work now (with a toddler too). I text DH and told him I wasn't doing it again. He asked what happened. Erm I'm 38 weeks pregnant? No empathy at all!

strawberrypenguin · 31/05/2016 21:58

Grin nehagarg baby brain lasts at least a year - pretty sure mine never fully recovered the first time! (At least that's my excuse) there's no hope for me now!

nehagarg · 31/05/2016 23:32

Oh no! Shock I really hoped it would magically dissapear the moment I have birth.

nehagarg · 31/05/2016 23:32
