Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

Congratulations loulou!!! He is beautiful! Scary re the crying- yay that it is nothing too worrying, phew!

MadrigalElectromotive · 13/07/2016 17:58

Congratulations loulou! Can't believe there are still babies being born! DD is almost 2 months old! ConfusedShockGrin

iamdivergent · 14/07/2016 15:45

Wonder if that's everyone had their babies now? Today is 14th so in theory everyone who could have gone overdue should have delivered by now.

Can't believe my little guy is 16 days old, we are getting the hang of breastfeeding now and he seems fairly content.

Oops I forgot to post mine. Isla Louise was born on the 27th June via Elective Section because she was found to be breech at 38 weeks. C Section was at 39.5 weeks. She was 7lb 9. 17 days into motherhood and I'm loving it. Recovering well from my c section and falling more in love with my little girl every day. Just fed up I can't drive yet.
Congratulations to all the other new mums.

AmIseeingRight · 16/07/2016 12:19

Congratulations ladies and I guess all the June babies are finally here. Can't believe my little man is 7 weeks today. Settling into being a mum and while it's hard, it's still the best thing that ever happened to me.

lovelilies · 19/07/2016 18:45

Hello all, hope you're enjoying the weather!
Just wondering what to do about contraception.. I'm BF so the combined pill is out. That's all I've ever used apart from condoms bit scared about coil, any recommendations? Don't fancy another baby just yet!
Here's a pic of little 2 Smile

Aww cute pic Lillies. I'm hoping to return to the contraceptive implant which has worked wonders for me before. You don't need to remember to take anything daily, it lasts 3 years and for me it also stopped my periods.

Why can't you BF and be on the combined pill? Is there other contraception which is incompatible with BF (hadn't realised any were!)

lovelilies · 20/07/2016 13:51

The oestrogen in pill messes with milk supply, apparently implant is okay when BF.. Does it hurt? I'm a fanny! Grin

jellybelly85 · 20/07/2016 17:32

They give you a local anaesthetic. I don't remember it hurting.

HarleyQuinn90 · 21/07/2016 11:03

The implant doesn't hurt at all, the anaesthetic does a teeny bit but compared to childbirth it's nothing Wink

dollydaydream84 · 23/07/2016 14:15

i think the midwife said you can be on the mini pill when breastfeeding as it has no oestrogen. worth asking lillies?

How is everyone doing?

Eastend2015 · 24/07/2016 20:13

The GP has prescribed me the mini pill too for that reason. No more babies yet please!!

iamdivergent · 25/07/2016 17:16

Pixie is 6 weeks today!! Wow time goes fast.
Hope everyone is doing well.
She seems to be constantly on the boob right now which is a bit trying.... Succumbed to a dummy! Didn't have one for DS so feels a bit weird but otherwise I can't get anything done!

lovelilies · 25/07/2016 19:11

Hiya, Preeya is 5 weeks today Smile weighing in at 8lb 1 oz.
I suffered quite badly with 'the blues ' to the point dr and MW said PND but I'm doing okay now thank goodness!

Preeya is managing a 5-6 hour sleep from around 10pm so that is wonderful!
She sleeps in bed with me and DS (2.5) I'm sure that's why she sleeps longer, during the day she's not a big fan of being put down so I sling her most of the time when she's not attached to the boob which is just about all day

MindfulBear · 25/07/2016 21:27

Hi lilies
Yes my LO is also sleeping next to me so is probably why she sleeps for 4-5 hours overnight. During the day I'm also slinging as she is not keen on being put down at all. Especially right now.
Am wondering if there is a 6 week growth spurt....

MadrigalElectromotive · 25/07/2016 21:59

I'm starting to feel like we're settling in to a new normal here. DD is 10 weeks old on Wednesday and although we have no kind of routine I've learnt to live with that. She's sleeping between 4.5-6 hours in a stretch at night now which is a massive improvement on a couple of weeks ago when the max was about 3.5 hours. Long may it continue!

cautiousoptimist1 · 26/07/2016 10:33

My LO has a screaming meltdown most evenings. She won't feed un

cautiousoptimist1 · 26/07/2016 10:47

Sorry I somehow managed to post while typing one handed!

She cries most evenings and will not feed until she's calmed down which can take up to an hour each time. She's now doing the same in the mornings and it's really distressing. I sing to her (although tbh I'd cry if I had to be comforted by my singing!), cradle her and constantly offer boob and it works eventually. I've started to express milk so my DH can try and feed her too. She's feeding well generally and is putting weight on and there are plenty of wet nappies. It's hard to see her so unhappy.

lovelilies · 26/07/2016 15:03

This is a miracle cure for the screaming baby Cautious

I use it to calm DD down when she works herself into a lather.
Failing that, getting into the bath with the baby and BF in there helps.

terrifiednewbie · 26/07/2016 17:20

Is there a facebook group? Could i possibly join?

wigelspigels · 27/07/2016 17:36

Hi all, we made it to the States and back fine. He loves to cuddle all the time. We co-sleep too and get good rest that way. Getting the 8 week jabs tomorrow, late at 9.5 weeks as we were away. Then his BCG the 9th of August. Better get as much house work done tomorrow morning to allow lots of cuddle time. We carry too. Some stuff doesn't work with carrying.

He didn't feed much last night, expressed the overfull and leaking boob and got a 100ml Shock the 7yr old only for 1 more month is very happy as he can bottle feed Grin

And a huge congrats to all the new mummy's Grin

iamdivergent · 29/07/2016 08:32
