Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

Thinking of you torfhinn hope contractions have picked up Flowers
So glad all was ok spock & hope growth scan goes well.
Congratulations alas she's beautiful! You will have to update us when you decide on her name!
geneva do try & take it easy! 10 hours of cleaning must have left you absolutely exhausted!
Also I have a friend who never experienced BH, which is totally normal. I get them daily and they're so frustrating!

MagicDucky · 30/05/2016 08:23

I didn't get any the first time round either geneva I wouldn't worry too much. I also haven't experienced lightening. Definitely second getting some rest, unpacking can wait.

cautiousoptimist1 · 30/05/2016 09:10

Congratulations alas.

mrsm your first day with Grace sounds amazing, I'm jealous! Hope you are both still doing so well and that your little boy enjoys meeting his sister today.

I think I'm getting BH, my bump goes really solid and almost a square shape for a good 30 seconds or so. I wasn't feeling them at first, I just happened to notice the change in shape occasionally but they are ramping up now and some are quite painful.

I had a weird dream last night, I don't remember what it was about but I've woken up thinking about protecting my mattress, carpets, car seat and brand new sofas in case my waters break. It's not something I'd thought about before but do I need to be considering this?? Sorry for the daft question!

GrubbyWindows · 30/05/2016 09:29

Congratulations alas!
geneva I never noticed any BH the first time either. This time my bump goes hard fairly regularly, but I don't really feel anything.
What I do feel is the skin round my belly button- it's so tight and sore! A whole new crop of stretch marks have come up in the last few days, and I swear I can feel them happening, ugh.

MollieRos · 30/05/2016 09:36

Congratulations Alas!

Mrsmugoo that sounds wonderful... I have no idea how you managed it! We just about stumbled through the front door and pretty much went straight to bed when we were discharged from hospital!

Geneva take it easy! we had carpets fitted so was lugging furniture and stuff back up the stairs on monday. Woke up with contractions at midnight that night and had the baby the next day. with hindsight it would have been better to have been resting!

Hope everyone who's in the middle of contractions has speedy and safe deliveries.

MagicDucky · 30/05/2016 10:59

cautious I was the same last week so went and bought a waterproof mattress protector. Don't really know how to protect everything else though Grin

Eastend2015 · 30/05/2016 11:29

Congratulations Alas!

No BH here either, 37 weeks today. We have enjoyed a lovely sunny weekend on the south coast at my parent's. I even went swimming in the sea yesterday- first time in the uk for 3 years I think!

JulieBolton79 · 30/05/2016 11:37

Sounds blissful Mrs Halo

Congrats alas another beautiful baby Smile

Geneva I have only just started with BH and I'm not even sure that's what they are!

I lost my mucus plug this morning and have been up in the night with mild contractions Shock only problem is they've stopped now but have left a dull period pain ache. Hopefully today progresses in to something for me I'm 39 wks tomorrow otherwise it's a practice run.
Enjoy the bank holiday ladies X

libertygirl · 30/05/2016 12:07

Congratulations alas :-)

I just tried to post a photo of my little man but it just refreshes the page and disappears. :-(

cheshirem2b · 30/05/2016 12:33

Just in from our hospital appointment - cervix soft but still closed so looks like elcs tomorrow morning. They will check in the morning to make sure I've not suddenly dilated enough to break my waters but likely to be a section. I'm disappointed as would have liked vbac after emcs last time but at least I know she'll be safely delivered and in my arms tomorrow provided I'm not bumped off the list by emergencies!
Apparently I have to shave this evening... I can't see down there to shave! Strategic mirror angles later I think! Confused
Lovely to read some birth stories - congrats to the new mummies -and hopefully I'll be joining the baby club tomorrow!

bikingintherain · 30/05/2016 12:47

Sorry to hear you're not getting the vbac cheshire, but at least you're little one will be here very soon. Hope it all goes well. I don't envy attempting to shave, I tried to give myself a bit of a tidy up the other day and I think DH was trying not to look amused at my attempts!

strawberrypenguin · 30/05/2016 14:15

Congratulations alas

Good luck for tomorrow cheshire sorry it doesn't look like you'll get your vbac but at least baby will arrive safely one way or another.

LouLou030783 · 30/05/2016 15:59

Congrats alas she's lovely so many babies appearing already

Spock27 · 30/05/2016 17:06

Congrats alas! Cheshire sorry to hear you're not getting the birth you want but I'll bet you're looking forward to those cuddles tomorrow 😊

Growth scan was fine, they couldn't get am accurate measurement of the head as it's so low down (which is good news!) But other measurements are incubating the baby is 8lb already - 39 weeks tomorrow! I'm hoping it doesn't get too much bigger before it makes an appearance...

LouLou030783 · 30/05/2016 18:09

Spock hopefully not cause 8lb is big enough eh?

Cartooner · 30/05/2016 18:17

Anyone here hit a serious dip? I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and was home with the kids all day and they are driving me mad. Trying to organise the place while they undo everything. Eldest two kept asking for food and I just flipped out eventually, roared at them, then they got worse answering back and I got louder, the neighbours probably think I've lost it. It's been such a crap day I feel like bawling. I think it's pregnancy hormones but they are driving me ade lately too looking for food all the time, pulling open the presses, leaving a trail of crumbs etc.

I'd hate to go into labour feeling like this, I really hope I wake up a bit more calm and collected tomorrow. DH just took them out of my way and I've sat down with a cuppa. Heard 7 year old saying why is Mammy so mean as he went out the door Blush

Nice to read all the baby news anyway. I"m not much of an advertisement for motherhood am I !!!!

MagicDucky · 30/05/2016 18:33

You are not alone cartooner my DD has just started the "Why?" stage and I'm really struggling to get through a day without crying and pulling my hair out simultaneously.

Cartooner · 30/05/2016 18:38

My three year old asked me why can't he see his eyebrows about five times today? He called me into another room yesterday to tell me he can't find his belly button anymore. It's very cute but on about question number 113 I start to feel my sanity going downhill rapidly Wink

Coldest · 30/05/2016 18:38

Hi everyone mrsmugoo invited me over from a VBAC thread. Baby was born yesterday with VBAC after 2 hour labour. Barely got in time to hospital to push her out.

Congratulations to everyone on the new babies.

What are you dressing your babies in the house and outside. My first was a winter baby and I m confused now

dollydaydream84 · 30/05/2016 18:43

optimist I sat forward on the couch with DD1 and heard my waters pop, stood up and I would say it was more of constant trickle than a gush like you see on the TV. Similarly sat in the car on a towel without much leakage but when I got out there was a bit of a gush followed by the constant trickle. Lots of TMI there but there was definitely no puddles just very soggy PJs. Rapidly changed to a nighty when I got to hospital!! Hope that helps in your decision to protect household goods! Not sure if it's the same for everyone but I was surprised how even hours later my waters were still leaking (yuck!) I thought they went once and that was it!! X

GrubbyWindows · 30/05/2016 18:53

Congratulations coldest what a great VBAC story!
cartooner I'm the same!!! Fortunately DS and I went out to a friend's this afternoon- otherwise I would have totally lost it I think. He's 3 so in full why why why why mode too, and all I want to do is declutter or sleep, I've no patience for playing with him at the moment. Not my best parenting at the mo, and not his fault poor soul.
Hopefully it doesn't bode ill for the next few months...

strawberrypenguin · 30/05/2016 19:00

Congratulations and welcome coldest

dollydaydream84 · 30/05/2016 19:14

Sorry haven't managed to catch up yet as on mobile. Anyone else's feet swollen in the heat? I'm not quite at cankles but rather big! Best way to reduce swelling?

LouLou030783 · 30/05/2016 19:28

Dolly my feet and ankles have been quite bad past few days

ILovePies · 30/05/2016 19:34

spock at 38 weeks bubba was measuring 7ib 13. So pretty sure I've already got an 8iber cooking in there now at 39 weeks tomorrow? Have they said theyll let you go over with no intervention?

cartooner you've just described me on a good day! I'm so tired at the moment that every little squabble the kids have I feel like I just unrationally loose my rag! Won't be long now & we can be back to being the mummies they deserve! Flowers
Welcome & congratulations coldest so lovely to hear of more successful vbac stories.
cheshire baby cuddles tomorrow! How exciting! How are you feeling? Could you get DH to help with the shaving? Grin DP helped me when I wanted to prep for DS's arrival!
dolly yes :( I've been keeping them elevated and DP has been rubbing them with a soothing cream every night before bed. Someone did suggest putting them in a bucket full of cold water though, you could try that?

Feeling so bloody uncomfortable today! So much pressure in my bum & horrible braxton hicks. Wishe they would just go away or turn into something promising!!
