June 2016 #10 - the one where it's a pre and post natal thread

Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies

God biking what a nightmare!!!! It's so awful that it would be funny except that you have to actually deal with it!
My BP is now behaving a bit better, so my induction is now booked for Sunday- a few more days of ball bouncing...

Congratulations to all the ladies who have got to meet there little ones x

And biking that must be so stressful hope it's sorted soon x
My lovely hubby felt sorry still being pregnant 40+3 so he's bought me a little Pandora baby elephant so sweet bless x

Oh biking I'm so sorry to read this. Hope it all gets sorted soon, and you manage to stay calm. Glad you have support around you

Had my sweep this morning. Said I was 2 cm dilated at a push but said that was normal for someone who has already had a baby. Cervix is still thick, long & posterior. Completely broke down in tears.. really have had enough of being pregnant. They're coming out again on Sunday to do another sweep if nothing comes of this one. Feel so deflated that all these pains I've had seem to be doing absolutely nothing :(

Ouf pies how dispiriting! It's been ages!! Hopefully that sweep will get things started- and the Sunday one won't even be needed. Fingers crossed!

Pies don't get too downhearted, my sweep with DD I had a bishops score of 1 and waters broke the next day so you never know. Frustrating though so you have my full sympathy xxxx

Grubby - great news for Sunday and BP! Get bouncing!!

So I went upstairs to put some washing away and made the mistake of lying down - 3hrs later i woke up! Good thing my sister text me or I'd have missed my bus to collect the kids. Not as warm today so it's much nicer to be outside; think my plug has been coming away for a week or so, thought it was just heavy discharge but it was very stringy earlier on, not bloodstreaked but it isn't always I don't think (going by Google images anyway!)

Completely exhausted and finding it difficult now - potentially still have 3+3 before I would be induced so feeling quite disheartened

Sending everyone lovely positive "let's get this baby moving" vibes.

Does anyone have a playlist for labour?

I'm sure I made one on spotify last time round but have not even considered it this time (yet!). Can't remember playing it last time if im honest but might while away some time doing it!!

No playlist here but I looked at my packing list from last time and chuckled that I had magazines and books written on there. I realise every labour is different but I had contractions thick and fast with only minutes respite so the notion of have been reading a magazine in between is quite funny! Important to take for inductions etc though! Might take a hypno birth or relaxation in on MP3 player in case I panic in elcs!

Divergent I managed a 6 minute sleep before DD woke up from her nap. Three hours sounds so good!! If I chicken out of elcs I could have 4+1 to go so I will hold your hand to the end! Xx

I have just updated the spreadsheet as best I can - hope it's right! I haven't put names on as some people have announced on the fb group and I didn't know if they wanted names on and also some people on this thread haven't included names so thought it just made sense to leave them off! Excuse the american date format, it wouldn't let me change it no matter what I did!

Wow I can't believe how many have been born already! That's amazing.

Just popping by to say after my waters breaking and contractions starting at 6am yesterday, my baby boy finally arrived by forceps at midday today. Quite a dramatic labour, which I'll share after I've caught up on sleep! Hope everyone else is keeping well, and thanks for your kind words of support

Yay jelly congratulations!!! Sorry to hear it all got a bit dramatic, but so glad to hear the happy ending- have a lovely sleep if you can!

My extra sweep this morning seems to be having some effect- I'm getting contractions of some sort. Still short and not very sore, but it's been a good hour and a half so maybe maybe I'll go tonight. I've not said anything to DP or my mum yet as I don't really want them to get too excited and start watching me like hawks, so I thought I'd tell the Internet instead, I hope I haven't jinxed it!!

Well I'm awake. Pains much stronger tonight but irregular still, going to try and sleep on sofa as don't want to wake everyone else if it's going to taper off!

This had better be it- these are SORE! not yet long enough to page the midwife and I can still talk through them, but I shall be most pissed off if it all comes to nothing!
divergent I hope your BH are either turning into "proper " contractions or leaving you in peace.
