Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

Get well soon Spock I felt like that on Monday but thankfully much better now. Hope it's short lived for you.

Same for you divergent hope you feel better soon xx

strawberrypenguin · 08/06/2016 17:38

Good luck jelly hope everything goes nice and smoothly for you.

ILovePies · 08/06/2016 18:11

Good luck jelly! Thinking of you!
Hope sweep went well grubby fingers crossed baby comes before induction! I'm really sorry to hear about your home birth but sounds like the hospital is the best place for you & baby.
Oh no spock hope you're not coming down with anything, the weather really hasn't been helping at all! Felt like I have been melting most of the day!

Had regular 10 min braxton hicks from 730 - 1330 today. They were getting gradually stronger. Completely died off at half 1. Have had a few since but haven't got themselves into a regular pattern. Sweep tomorrow, if I'm not dilated or my cervix isn't even favourable, I am going to push for an ELCS to be done by Tuesday. I am absolutely fed up of all these false starts and I just want my baby now!

LouLou030783 · 08/06/2016 18:28

God I am so bloody bored on maternity leave Shock wish baby would just come now I'm honestly driving myself insane being finished

dollydaydream84 · 08/06/2016 18:56

Pies my cervix wasn't favourable last time but the 4th sweep finally got some action going so you never know. Must be so disheartening to have false starts. I didn't even have a false start last time!

I've still got lots of baby jobs to do so I'm not fed up yet but as the list of jobs is going down I'm wondering what to do more and more!

LouLou030783 · 08/06/2016 19:46

Dolly it's so bad only thing I've left to do is build the crib I'll maybe do that tomoz it's so hard all of a sudden doing basically nothing

iamdivergent · 08/06/2016 20:32

Me too LouLou never thought I'd be bored but I really am!

Thank you mindful I think I'll go download this apps now. OH has been great, very understanding! I'm hoping it is a sign of things moving along. I'm getting very bored and just want this baby now!

Good luck Jelly!

Hope the sweep went well Grubby!

Get well soon Spock I've been feeling really rubbish too, this weather is no help at all!

Torfhinn · 08/06/2016 20:50

Just checking in - life is a bit hectic with a newborn and a 2 year old! Baby is now 9 days old and doesn't yet have a name Blush, but we are working on it. He's doing really well and I am loving maternity leave Smile I haven't managed to fully catch up, but congratulations to all those who have had their babies, I hope are all doing well and good luck to those in early labour!

sambababy · 08/06/2016 21:11

We seem to be having a false start here too Hmm

I felt discharge last night so went to the toilet and it was bright red blood like period blood. Nothing like the mucousy bloody show I had with DD. Cue total panic! Obstetrician asked me to lie down wearing a sanitary towel for an hour and after that there was hardly any more blood and baby was still moving so she said I could rest knowing all was fine. That's very easy to say! Hardly slept a wink!

Then around 3am I was getting stronger period pain cramps which I soon realised were contractions. At 7am they were 4mins apart but by 10am after a bath and lie down had dwindled to hardly anything. Still having contractions but not regular or getting any stronger. I wonder how long this will go on for. I really thought 2nd babies were supposed to be quicker!

sambababy · 08/06/2016 21:13

And good luck jellybelly! Hope all those feeling rough feel better soon.

jellybelly85 · 08/06/2016 21:37

Thanks for the luck everyone!

samba its a bit of a dilemma isn't it? Currently relaxing in the bath but contractions have slowed a little (we're they slowing anyway? Is the warmth of the bath causing themto slow?) but can't help but enjoy a bit of contraction respite...

emma85x · 08/06/2016 22:15

loulou I know the feeling. I am so very bored!! I've done everything at home now - As organised as possible so spending my days watching crap tv mostly and bouncing on my ball whilst drinking raspberry leaf tea!! I'm 39 weeks tomorrow with a sweep booked in for my due date - 16.6.16.

jelly Thinking of you!!!

GrubbyWindows · 08/06/2016 23:01

samba how maddening!! Hoping you get either some rest or a baby tonight! And likewise jelly!
Commiserations to the bored people- I feel like there are still a million jobs that need doing everywhere I look, argh. My mum has been here a week which is great- ive been up and down to the hospital most days for BP stuff, and DP is working through a massive backlog of work to clear the decks for some paternity leave, so she's basically been in charge of DS the whole time! We'd have been super stuck without her.
Thank you for all the good sweep wishes! It was a good one- I was hoping to be a bit more dilated but no, still 2-3cm. But should be an easy induction on Friday anyway, even if nothing happens sooner!
Glad you are feeling a bit more human dolly! And sorry to hear about the possible lurgies. Come on babies, turn up and give us our bodies back! (Ish)...

MagicDucky · 08/06/2016 23:46

Urrrrrgh I was having BH for about an hour then had a sudden urge to go to the loo, was sick too. Thought things were happening and now my BH have stopped. What a let down.

dollydaydream84 · 09/06/2016 07:16

Oh no! So many false starts! Hope the real things happen soon for you All!
What do braxton hicks actually feel like? I thought I had them from 20-30 weeks but the more I read the more I think it was just stretching. I don't think I've had any at all!

iamdivergent · 09/06/2016 07:41

For me they feel like strong period pains, my bump goes rock hard and I can definately feel them painless my arse had them on and off most of yesterday and up for a few hours through the night and it's all stopped again. Getting so frustrated now and tired, can't imagine I'm very easy to live with atm either 😥

Hey ladies! Congratulations to everyone with all the babies!

Last week I would have utterly agreed about being bored but this week has turned out uber stressful. They found bedbugs in some of the downstairs flats and so our whole building is being fumigated. Which has meant that we have had to pack all our flat up 'as if we were moving house'. This is what our living room currently looks like. So much for a relaxing home birth! I'm hoping to now cross my legs for the next 48 hours as I would love to be back to normal before I go into labour. Today I am 40+2 so we'll see if my body agrees!

LouLou030783 · 09/06/2016 08:06

Oh biking what an absolute nightmare as if u don't have enough to deal with

lovelilies · 09/06/2016 09:01

That's terrible Biking Shock
I'm planning a home birth too, and that would destroy me!
Congratulations on all the new babies! I love seeing the pics and birth stories.
I've got to the point where I don't think this baby is ever going to come out. 39/40 today. Lots of 'uncomfortable ' BHs and discharge Confused but nothing actually happening Angry

bikingintherain · 09/06/2016 09:16

I'm not going to lie, I haven't taken it in my stride. I completely lost it in Monday evening when I found out. Then Tuesday at my mw appointment my blood pressure was sky high so I had to go for extra tests at the hospital. Finally it was decided that stress was the cause. Not exactly surprising! But now I've resigned myself to it and the mw has told me to relax so I'm just trying to pretend it's not happening! Thankfully friends have rallied round and DH is being incredible.

iamdivergent · 09/06/2016 09:25

That must be so stressful biking hope everything is sorted asap.and you can get the house back to normal

OP posts:
dollydaydream84 · 09/06/2016 09:34

biking that's awful. I was in a hotel room once and found about 8 of them on the day we were due to leave, I didn't stop itching the entire flight home. Will not complain about being bored again I promise! Would rather be bored than pack up the house! Hope you get it sorted soon. As you said, a total nightmare but something that can be dealt with (by others!) you relax as best as you can xx

Thanks divergent my bump had periods of going tight, feeling slightly uncomfortable but not painful then nothing but not had that feeling since 30 weeks so in truth don't think I've had any BH!!

Good luck Grubby hope the baby makes an appearance before Friday!
