Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

Congratulations Talcott sorry you had such a terrible time, sounds very similar to my sisters experience though she had forceps. She's still on iron tablets to get her levels up.

So 35 babies!

Feeling a tad warm down below just now - assume not an infection as urine tested clear earlier on

Congratulations Talcott. What a rough time you had! Thankfully you're both safe and well and home too. I hope you and DH manage to forget the awful parts fast!

MagicDucky · 07/06/2016 18:53

Oh help (more for OH than me!) I am in a foul mood today, honestly I have never felt this angry and there's absolutely no reason for it. I'm snapping at everyone! I'm not usually such a horror. But I just want to yell at everyone. Anyone got any anger management tips before OH and DD leave me? Confused

strawberrypenguin · 07/06/2016 19:22

Congratulations talcott hope you make a speedy recovery and it all fades from memory fast for you.

strawberrypenguin · 07/06/2016 19:24

Ah that's rubbish magic can you curl up somewhere quiet? Could be a sign that things are close to getting started - or it could just be the hot weather!

MagicDucky · 07/06/2016 20:02

OH has gone out, he says he has work to do but I think it's an excuse and I don't blame him! I'm now curled up in bed with some cookies and tea. I'm hoping it is a sign things are happening but I think I'm just getting my hopes up for nothing I'm only 38+4 and DD was 10 days late!

ILovePies · 07/06/2016 20:38

Congratulations geneva & talcott
I'm sorry to hear you had such a horrible experience talcott i hope it doesn't take you too long g to recover Flowers
I've put on 13ibs so far! Was very very pleased when mw told me! I am already overweight anyway though so couldn't really afford to put too much on!
Thanks everyone for the get well wishes! Hopefully will start feeling normal again soon.

magic bless you, I'm sure DH will understand! It's so so hot at the moment and that definitely doesn't help!!

MollieRos · 07/06/2016 20:51

Congratulations geneva and talcott. Sorry you had such a tough time talcott

earlgreydrinker · 07/06/2016 21:11

talcott please be kind to yourself. I had an awful time with DD and it can take a while to come to terms with everything that has happened x

So just thought I would update with my story....finished work on Thursday. I had been having tightenings on Friday with a bit of a jelly show and a pinky brown discharge.
Saturday we went for a big brunch and a walk. Got ready and went to a wedding, all fine. Some tightenings in the church. 18.30 my waters went in the reception! We left straight away and I was definitely in shock. We went to the hospital as I was cramping quite regularly and they wanted to check me over. I was monitored and stayed till about 11pm but was only 1cm by then and the cramping was slowing. We came home and got some sleep but were to return to the hospital for induction that afternoon if nothing happened. We were up with DD at 6am. Slowly the cramps started again and by 11.30 I was uncomfortable enough to want to go back to hospital. From that point on the care I had was amazing. I had got in a bit of a state as I was terrified I would have a repeat of last time. They calmed me right down and we went to the delivery room about 1pm. By then I was 6cm. We put the lights down, candles and relaxation music on. DH says I was in the zone! Won't lie it was hard work with pain in my back then more in my groin. We used various positions and a birthing ball. I did it all on gas and air and in the words of my amazing midwife I "breathed the baby out" by 17.29. Ended with a second degree tear but this was a good outcome for me. Really positive experiance after a horrendous first labour and delivery.
Baby feeding really well. He seems to be a natural. However he, like others, seem to have confused night and day at the moment. Sleep is overrated anyway!
Sorry that's a long one but wanted to share Smile

sambababy · 08/06/2016 01:08

Congratulations mummies! Gosh so many babies, beautiful babies. 35??? How many of us are on the thread? I guess this is putting the odds of me being an overdue one much higher Confused

Thank you for sharing your birth stories. Sorry for those that had a traumatic time. When some time has passed, I've heard that you can request a birth reflections meeting which some of my friends have found very helpful.

MindfulBear · 08/06/2016 11:53

Hi magic just wanted to say that anger could be a sign things are hotting up - hormonal overdrive as it were!. When I had DS I had uncontrollable anger anxiety and tears in the last 2 weeks. In fact DH was convinced I was suffering with depression. It was very short lived tho and disappeared after labour. (& yes I was allegedly the nasty labouring woman who was horrid to the MW who I thought was useless.....!!!)

Poor DH had to be super accommodating in those last 2 weeks. He used his soothing voice and spent a lot of time out of the house but bought me nice gifts like flowers and a glass cake stand I had been lusting after! (Which I then filled with cake which made his day!)

Take it easy. Listen to some music or take a bath or a nap or whatever you need to relax you.

The mind the bump app and headspace apps both have some mindful meditations that I find helpful at these times. Might be worth a listen.

jellybelly85 · 08/06/2016 12:19

So my waters broke this morning! I've just come back from hospital where they confirmed waters had gone. Some protein and slight sign of infection in my urine, but they're not too worried. Contractions started within 30mins of waters breaking, they seem to be between every 3-20mins but nothing too intense or regular yet. So I'm back home, with tens machine plugged on, chilling and hopeful that things pick up before 8am tomorrow.

Ooh jelly
Exciting stuff!!! Are you walking lots and rocking around on yiur exercise ball? All supposed to help to get baby to descend.

Make sure you eat and keep well hydrated too. You need it! (Altho I didn't fancy any food at all in my last labour so spent the time drinking coconut water and juices)

earlgreydrinker · 08/06/2016 13:48

Exciting jelly.
Make sure you rest now. I am sure they have told you but keep an eye on your temperature. Hopefully not long to go!

earlgreydrinker · 08/06/2016 13:49

Can anyone tell me how to get on the Facebook group?

jellybelly85 · 08/06/2016 13:59

Yup been told to check temp and change pad every 4 hours. Contractions seemed to reduce in frequency and intensity for a while but have been increasing in intensity in the past hour (quite painful!) Been eating smaller portions than normal, but eating when hungry. Also trying to drink regularly too. Hips keep aching so not walking much but alternating between sitting on sofa, bouncing and hugging the exercise ball.

Good luck jellybelly!!!
Super exciting!

Thank you to all the birth story writers- it's great to read them!

I'm sat on my ball trying to bounce the baby out before I get induced on Friday... The midwife is due any minute to do another sweep. Fingers crossed! I'm definitely out of the running for a homebirth now though, as apparently I need to be in hospital for a day or so after anyway, in case my BP goes crazy and I get postpartum preeclampsia.

emma85x · 08/06/2016 15:11

jellybelly My due date buddy!! This is amazing news!! How exciting!! Good luck, I'll be thinking of you!

dollydaydream84 · 08/06/2016 15:43

good luck Jelly!

dollydaydream84 · 08/06/2016 15:57

Good luck with the sweep Grubby hope it gets baby moving xxx

Spock27 · 08/06/2016 16:32

Good luck jelly, hope everything kicks off soon!

I feel absolutely rotten today. Not sure if it's the heat but I feel like I've got a temperature, dizzy and really groggy. Hope I'm not coming down with something, at 40+1 in this heat that would be awful Sad

LouLou030783 · 08/06/2016 16:56

Talcott sounds traumatic but don't beat yourself up about it try and relax as much as possible

Oh exciting jelly belly hope it comes to something
