Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

Can he work from home cautious? That would be the ideal! I'd be inclined not to send him...
Glad you are feeling better dolly!
And oh no re your cold pies! Lets hope it passes super quick- lots of fruit and veg!!

Good luck to everyone waiting... and it's true, trust your body. I forgot to mention a funny (not at the time) moment in my labour. My entire 1st stage is down on the notes as zero because I did all the work alone on the ward for an hour while my DH 'got some sleep' in the car in the carpark. When my waters went I rang the buzzer and nurse ran me down the corridor in a wheelchair and 12 minutes later he was out.. but I had to try phone DH while whizzing down the corridor. We have a constnat row over his purchase of crap phones, the current one is the worst, it went straight to answer and I thought of all times for his phone to not work. Then I got a text from him saying 'I am driving right now, I will call you back later'.... I was looking at it thinking you cannot be serious (McEnroe moment). I texted COME NOW TO DELIVERY WARS... trying to not push and do caps lock and apple trying to do auto-correct on me for the word ward was another golden moment. Anyway, then i get a text OK. Next think I look up in the about to push and he's there.... I only thought to ask him last night where the hell were you driving to? He said what are you talking about I was just lying down in the car park, I said you texted me you were driving... he had to see it to believe it. He had put a phone alarm on and accidentally set it to auto reply that he's driving... I mean.... we've had some stories over crap phones but this has to be the best reason to send a phone off the top of the building or maybe it's my DH that needs to be flung off?! Grin

Spock27 · 07/06/2016 11:56

Happy due date pies! Sorry to hear you're feeling ill, that's the last thing you need when you're heading into month 10! Hope you feel better soon and neither of us have much longer to wait (though absolutely nada is happening here).

Cartooner that's hilarious, so glad he got there in time though!

Hi all , My little girl Matilda was born on Sunday night at 7pm Uk time. Labour was pretty straightforward though I really struggled with the contractions. You don't getpain relief apart from epidural here, and it was amazing, though wish maybe I had asked for it sooner. Wish I had looked into hypnotherapy more: the panic with the pain of the early contractions was one of my biggest problems I think.

Anyway, Matilda is lovely and I am recovering well. I have the luxury of my own room and I am still in hospital, as is standard here in Switzerland. Midwives and nurses are so helpful and really helping me with feeding.

Congratulations to all other new mums and good luck to those still pregnant. It is worth it, honest!

Spock27 · 07/06/2016 12:51

Congratulations Geneva, she's gorgeous! Great to hear you're getting such good care Smile

Cartooner · 07/06/2016 13:31

Congratulations Geneva, she is beautiful. You did great. Epidurals are a great thing. The single room sounds fab, I was in a hot ward with ten other mothers it was like being in a chicken coop so thankfully I got home within 24 hours.

dollydaydream84 · 07/06/2016 13:42

Congratulations Geneva absolutely gorgeous!

Happy due date Pies Grin

Still feeling much better thankfully! Just dehydrated now. Glad it wasn't early labour was soooo not ready for it!

lovelilies · 07/06/2016 14:15

Lovely Geneva Smile
What a scorcher today! Wearing a maxi dress that makes bump look HUGE!
DS (2) keeps asking when the baby is going to come out... I think he'll have a massive shock when she does.
Still having (TMI) lots of discharge that is slightly pink and BHs. I'm rubbish at realising when I'm in labour, the other 2 caught me by surprise Hmm with lots of stop starts.

Hope you're all having a lovely day. I've been in town with DD1(11 on Sat) and bought her some nice clothes, then she has riding this afternoon. Managed to sit in the sun for half an hour though while DS slept

iamdivergent · 07/06/2016 16:18

Congrats Geneva

That's 34, yes 34 June babies, that I know of that have been born! And it's only the 7th of June!

If anyone who isn't in the Facebook group wants added feel free to give me sadly still pregnant a message and we can sort out getting you added Grin there is an up to date (so far as I can tell) list of babies on there too Grin

lovelilies you are a more energetic woman then I! I need at least an hours lie-down to recover from going to have my BP measured, the idea of traipsing round the shops is pretty unthinkable! Fortunately my mum has now been here a week, and has basically taken charge of DS...

Good lord, 34!!!!!!!!!!! We are a population surge!

iamdivergent · 07/06/2016 16:35

Had my 38 week appointment today, the vampires took more blood (to check my iron levels) and they weighed me this time; have put on just under 12kg which is pretty normal I think? Baby still head down, not engaged but he's right where we want him to be athough he's gone back to back again grrrrr monkey! She did say she didn't think I'd see my 40wk appt at 40+2 so fingers crossed! No mention of sweeps/induction and tbh I felt a bit rushed out so I didn't mention it myself either but would be nice to be mentally prepared if she's going to give me a sweep next time and he's still following that 90th centile curve, looking around 4.4kg 😧

OP posts:
dollydaydream84 · 07/06/2016 16:45

divergent DD1 was4.4kg, I love a chunky baby! Hopefully you don't make your next appointment as she suggests!

iamdivergent · 07/06/2016 17:10

Me too dolly it's just the thought of pushing that out lol

Eastend2015 · 07/06/2016 17:48

Congratulations cartooner and geneva, gorgeous babies!!

jellybelly85 · 07/06/2016 17:48

iam I've put on about 12kg (2 stone) in total too. It's been a gradual increase over the 9 months and doesn't feel too overwhelming (mostly concentrated in my bump from what I've noticed). Might be worth reading up about a stretch and sweep in advance of 40w appointment in case they do offer it to you then (seems to be the norm in other areas).

34 babies! Ruddy hell... That's a lot of activity and the first week of June isn't even over yet.

Eastend2015 · 07/06/2016 17:51

Ps 15 kg put on here, feeling like I'm all bump though!! Had a lovely swim this morning which helped my back SO much!

dollydaydream84 · 07/06/2016 17:52

divergent mine came out the sunroof Grin This one was on a curve above the 90th centile which suggested if it was 2 weeks late like DD, it would be 10lb2. Thankfully I won't be going overdue and a growth scan revised the weight slightly so probably more like 8lb!!

I have put on almost 3.5 stone. 1 stone in first 12 weeks, 2 stone in the next 20 weeks and then half a stone in the last few weeks. Put on 4 with DD so looks about the same.

Talcott2007 · 07/06/2016 17:58

Hi All - Congratulations on all the recent arrivals! Slightly late in announcing my own - BabyTalcott arrived at 12.30pm 31.05.016 weighing 7lbs 3oz.

Had quite a tough labour and thought it would help me to write it down.

Ok. So the inducement process started on 29.05.2016 but took quite a while to get going...started with gas and air (amazing!) But had the epidural after we went over 24hr mark. Was doing ok but exhausted and just as I was starting to crown - I could feel her head with my fingers her heart rate dropped and they had to get her out really fast so I ended up with an Episiotomy and Ventouse intervention. I then haemorrhaged and lost 1.2ltrs before they could stop it. I don't really remember too much of this part - just initially thinking my waters were going because this was hot water pouring out as soon as she delivered but then realising that didn't make any sense because they had already gone and then looking over and just seeing the most horrific look on DP's face as he held our daughter then all these alarms going off and people rushing into the room...

Was able to finally get home on Saturday morning and am recovering physically (emotionally might take longer for both DP and I) and we are just in awe of this beautiful terrifying thing that we made. She is just perfect.
