Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

I dropped off this thread a while ago, but thought I should come back and update. Mini biscuits was born yesterday in the early hours of the morning at 40+4,weighing 6lb 10. Everything went really well and we were home by 10am. In typical newborn fashion he then slept all day, and has been up all night GrinHmm

Congratulations on all the other little ones already!

nehagarg · 06/06/2016 04:45

Woohoo. Congratulations jbiscuits. I'd been wondering where you've got to.

I'll join you in the up all night saga. Sat with Rishi on one shoulder, trying to get him to burp simce 4 AM. Grin

Thanks everyone. Smile Not sure about this sleepyhead thing though. I have a tall baby but its ridiculous if he cant spread out in the sleepyhead past a couple of months. Or maybe they are meant to sleep all snuggled up in it. Continue the foetal position. Hmm

emma85x · 06/06/2016 05:24

Congratulations jbiscuits. Fantastic news and great that you were home so soon!

MollieRos · 06/06/2016 06:02

congratulations Jelly and earl ! lovely photos.

I took towels but the midwife told me to use their nhs ones so i didnt get blood on mine. I was glad to use theirs as the post-birth bleeding was quite messy!

GrubbyWindows · 06/06/2016 08:18

Aaaah earlgrey that's great news! You will never forget your friend's wedding anniversary now! V glad it went well.

Great to hear from you jboscuits- and big congratulations!

So many babies...

clarish84 · 06/06/2016 08:27

Congratulations to all the ladies with new babies to cuddle

It's my due date today so baby is fully cooked just needs get a wiggle on x

ILovePies · 06/06/2016 09:38

Congratulations to all the ladies who have had their beautiful babies!
nehagarg Rishi is so cute! Love his hair!
I can't remember who it was, but who had the nosebleed & did you get checked over in the end?
Had quite a big one this morning and now I've got a headache and feel a bit icky. Not sure whether I need to ring anyone!

cautiousoptimist1 · 06/06/2016 09:46

Congratulations jbiscuits, is he your first baby?

earlgrey did you have any signs before your waters broke?

pies It wasn't me with the nosebleed but I think it's worth getting checked especially given the headache as I now know both are signs of increased BP so they might want to check it. Definitely ring and ask anyway.

ILovePies · 06/06/2016 09:49

Thank you cautious do i just need to ring the midwife? third baby and still clueless!

iamdivergent · 06/06/2016 09:51

Yeah I'd call the midwife ILovePies

Congrats to the new arrivals Grin

Nehagarg there is plenty of room in there. It's supposed to almost cuddle them. He's gorgeous by the way!

MagicDucky · 06/06/2016 10:13

It's was me with the nosebleed ILove. I did go get checked out, it was all fine but they said to always get that sort of thing checked out, especially if there's other symptoms like a headache. Always worth it just for the peace of mind.

ILovePies · 06/06/2016 10:21

Thanks ladies, have rung mw and left a message so will just have to wait until she gets back to me :)

LouLou030783 · 06/06/2016 11:01

Congrats earl and jbiscuits what great news can't believe so many babies are born already

AmIseeingRight · 06/06/2016 11:11

Oh congratulation on all the new arrival - June babies coming in fast now.

We are all suffering form a dream baby during the day and a night owl who does y believe we should sleep for a solid one hour at night Hmm but as he's feeding better he's also sleeping and so much happier. neha any luck with the TT?

We even managed our first family outing with a trip to the lake for lunch in the sunshine Smile.

nehagarg · 06/06/2016 11:19

Thanks all. Looks like snug it is. He is on the 75th centile for height so dont think he'll last the full 8 months, however snug he gets. Will be happy with 6. Smile

Good luck Ilove. Definitely get the bleed checked out though hopefully its nothing.

So Rishi's TT has now been properly snipped. This doc was livid too about the first one not having done the job properly and consequently having made things worse. Rishi's tongue is now moving properly, gping all the way to the roof of him mouth and poking out too. Now he just needs to re-learn breastfeeding techniques. Doc warned us that it might take a couple of weeks for him to learn how to use the new tongue.

Lots of skin to skin and breast offering in the meanwhile. Luckily he loves skin to skin. He's fast asleep on top of me after his bath and listening to Mozart at the moment. I wish I had a life like his. Grin

Lunch in the sunshine sounds brilliant AmI. I am going to go take Rishi out fir a walk today too. Tried very hard yesterday but both DH and I were running around all day. Thank God for another gorgeous day.

dollydaydream84 · 06/06/2016 11:22

Happy due date clarish

Congrats biscuits!

pies hope midwife gets back to you soon :)

AmIseeing you could be describing DD1. Slept all day, partied all night. At 4 days old, she was awake all of Christmas Eve and we all fell asleep finally at 8am on Christmas Day. Weirdest Christmas ever! They do get the hang of day and night eventually. I've ordered a night time sleeper this time Grin Hmm (seems unlikely!)

Have now packed my hospital bag as far as I can and have a list of the last few things to get. Not bad for 38 weeks......!

GrubbyWindows · 06/06/2016 11:43

Aaaaah neha that pic makes me so nostalgic for DS's early days- and of course it's coming round again soon, eek...
Stuck in MAU for a Bp check, which has turned out to be a bit dodgy. I want to be outside!

iamdivergent · 06/06/2016 11:49

Baby been grinding most of the morning Confused it is making me feel quite ill! DH is off today so.think we are going to go a walk or something before we get the girls from school. Very warm here again today - wish I'd bought more summery maternity clothes but no point now at 38wks

Waves at emma - how are things going with you?

Love hearing all the birth and early day stories. Congrats earlgrey and jellybaby on your new babies! super glad Rishi's TT got sorted neha - it's such a shame proper provision and training isn't universal for this.

GrubbyWindows · 06/06/2016 14:08

Pah. On medication for BP now, no homebirth for me. Never mind...
Better start checking out taxi firms that take labouring women!

emma85x · 06/06/2016 15:06

Glad all went well neha, Rishi is looking gorgeous.

Good to see you're ok jellybelly Any news with you? I'm booked in for a sweep on our due date but hoping he arrives before that!

emma85x · 06/06/2016 15:06

grubby sorry to hear you can't have your home birth. Flowers

jellybelly85 · 06/06/2016 16:16

Ah that's a shame grubby hope you're not too disappointed to not have a home birth.

Emma same here! Was a bit surprised when MW offered the sweep for next appointment - hadn't expected it so soon. Local policy is to book me in for induction automatically when/if 10 days overdue - although of course, I can choose to wait if nothing clinically at risk. Will have to see how much bigger this bump gets (feeling blooming massive!). Cut the legs off some maternity jeans today to make shorts (they were rubbish jeans anyway!)
