Since we only have about 15 posts remaining I thought I'd make up the new one.

Lots of babies have arrived already but still plenty of us pregnant too. Here's to our June 2016 babies Smile

clarish I had a green snot like discharge before I had the show. So hopefully it's a sign that things are going in the right direction.

emma85x · 04/06/2016 11:25

Ps) it wasn't for me though! I had the show (large amounts of pink/red jelly like discharge) well over 2 weeks ago now Hmm

mrsmugoo · 04/06/2016 11:29

I had a lovely postnatal ward experience this time.

I gave birth at 9:30pm and we were left to bond, have tea & toast and shower so it was about 1am by the time I was wheeled to a lovely quiet double room that was shock horror not too bloody hot! I got brought breakfast and tea in bed even though I was expecting to have to go to the day room to help myself. All her baby checks were done really efficiently and quickly and I was out by 1pm.

mrsmugoo · 04/06/2016 11:30

I had the snotty discharge tinged with pink in hospital after my waters had already gone and labour was just starting.

Cartooner · 04/06/2016 14:07

Still hanging around at home pains every 6-7 minutes and trying to rest now. Slow burn is my middle name... it's a lot of baby sitting for my mother if I don't have this baby today!

ILovePies · 04/06/2016 14:21

Congratulations pample she is gorgeous! Sorry to hear about your aftercare. The postnatal ward was awful after I had DD. Never had to stay in with DS and I was so shocked at how awful it was!
Good luck cartooner! Hope it doesn't take much longer.

I had lump of snotty discharge two days before I had DS clarish Fx it's the start.
mrs lovely to hear of a nice aftercare story! Hoping not to have to stay in this time and it be similar to your experience!

Another false start this morning :( feel so worn out!! 3 days until due date.. 5 days until sweep!!

clarish84 · 04/06/2016 14:39

I rang midwife and she was worried it could be an infection so had to go straight down . They monitored baby and did swabs on me . They was all lovely and she said looking she thinks it will be fine . My cervix is still long and closed so I'm not holding my breath but I'm glad everything seems ok and baby is happy I'm due in to days so fingers crossed somthing starts happening soon . Think that's one of my fastest visits to hospital ever x

lovelilies · 04/06/2016 17:45

Why do we decide to decorate when full term pregnant?!
Went into labour with DD1 night after painting bathroom, been painting the boiler cupboard today Grin
Wonder if it's a sign? Also slightly pink discharge.. No more BH though which is odd.
Symptom spotting for labour is almost as crazy as the 2ww Wink

iamdivergent · 04/06/2016 18:01

Ooh maybe it is a sign!

No signs of anything here, had a lazy day at home today as DH was working. Just thinking about dinner now. Can't believe that I could have baby anytime or potentially 4 weeks Shock that's aaaaaaaages away.

38+5 and my waters went at a wedding reception this afternoon - comedy style got up for the buffet and whoosh!
On the ward now for monitoring - hope we can make an announcement sooner rather than later!

ILovePies · 04/06/2016 21:38

clarish glad all is ok!
earlgrey sounds like something out of a movie! Good luck lovely Flowers

lovelilies · 04/06/2016 21:55

But did you get some of the buffet Earl?
Good luck hope you have your baby soon!

GrubbyWindows · 04/06/2016 22:04

earlgray that is going to be such a great story to tell!! Your mother-of-the-bride/groom speech is writing itself already...
Rooting for you- hopefully things will kick off ASAP or at least you will be allowed home to rest a bit.

I hope you are in full flow by now cartooner!!

Spock27 · 04/06/2016 22:06

Earl that'll be a story to tell your kids! Good luck Smile

emma85x · 04/06/2016 23:03

earl That is brilliant!! Hope all goes well!

Excellent point made by lillies - Did you manage to get some buffet food??

sambababy · 04/06/2016 23:45

Good luck earl and cartooner! Think I'm going to put a towel on the bed now, just in case. 38 wks today. My waters went last time mid way through labour but I've heard so many people say it happened in bed that I'd better not risk it!

Does anyone else have really aching sides? Especially if I sit in a comfy chair.

MagicDucky · 05/06/2016 00:13

Good luck earl and cartooner!

Is anyone else getting extreme pain in their belly button? It feels like it's coming from my belly button right down to my foof. It's REALLY painful. I've had it most of the day but it's just gotten a lot worse. OH is worried because I'm struggling to walk because of it, I started crying and I've puked up every meal today. I just want this baby NOOOOW Sad

earlgreydrinker · 05/06/2016 07:41

waves at cartooner
How are you doing? Hope things are going well.
I came home, had a reasonable amount of sleep, still getting pains but irregular. In at 2.30 this afternoon for induction if nothing has happened by then. Not really what I had hoped for but they were excellent last night given my experiance last time. Obviously my babies don't rush to come out!

And no didn't get any buffet Sad and it looked fab. We were with a lovely group of friends but I'm not going to live it down for a loooooooong time.

MindfulBear · 05/06/2016 08:23

Morning!!
Just looking at a hospital bag packing list..... Anyone else take: bath towel, blanket & pillow?

What in?!

It will look like I'm moving in if I take those as they will need a large suitcase rather than the carry on type wheelie bag I was considering....

& yes am considering water birth so my own fluffy towel might be nice...

iamdivergent · 05/06/2016 08:56

Not something I'd bother with tbh - the towel could end up a bit grim. I feel over packed with a cabin case Blush

strawberrypenguin · 05/06/2016 08:58

I took a towel mindful and I did need it for a shower afterwards (although I'm sure they'd have found me one if I hadn't)

Good luck cartooner and earl hope you're both having newborn snuggles soon.

ILovePies · 05/06/2016 09:41

Good luck for induction earl & hope you're doing okay cartooner!
mindful i will be taking a towel for my shower after, but I won't be bothering with a blanket & pillow.

emma85x · 05/06/2016 10:06

Good luck today earl Keep us posted!

mindful I will be taking a towel for my post labour shower. I'm also taking my V pillow (as it's so comfy) and also a pillow for DH as the chairs in the labour ward at our hospital are exceptionally uncomfortable!

JellyBaby26 · 05/06/2016 10:40

JellyBaby #2 also known as Thomas arrived on Friday 3/6 via a lovely elcs weighing 7lb 3oz. Hoping to be discharged today as am very very bored now!
He's a real foodie and is almost constantly attached to my boobs..lookin forward to milk coming in so it satisfies him quicker.
He's a proper dinky dot and is actually in an early baby suit today.
