This must be our 100th thread.

Possibly.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Rosylily · 18/01/2007 09:08

Hee Hee fox, yes I noticed my wording was ambiguous! Must be how I'm feeling at the moment!
Haven't lost the ability to moan yet anyway!

bethoo · 18/01/2007 09:14

i wish i could eat cake, i seem to have gone off sweet things. i prefer roast potatoes with yorkshire puddings and gravy! off course i cant eat alot so my dogs wait patiently dribbling at my feet for the left overs!
Booboo - i notice on your page that you like dogs, what have you got? i have two boxers.

i would not worry too much about fundal height (says me who is constantly measuring and adding cm to make me on par with my dates!)as long as the little one is still wriggling etc i would not worry. mine is still somersaulting!

Rosylily · 18/01/2007 09:19

Bethoo, I've gone off chocolate I am usually a total chocoholic! I have to practically force it down
My disgusted sister just says 'yeah it must be so hard for you, having to force down your chocolate'

muppetisacat · 18/01/2007 09:25

Rosy - you lucky lady - fancy having gone OFF chocolate - I cannot get enough of the stuff - perhaps that's why I couldn't even imagin fitting my bump into the viewfinder of the camera... I would need it wide angled and on panoramic.

(actually - it's not that big but my belly button has kind of detached itself from my stomach and is clearly trying to flee my body - it pokes through all my tops now)

How are you all doing these clever things with your names and posting photos anyhow - i can't see any photos - is it a mn tech problem?

32+5 (boy)

muppetisacat · 18/01/2007 09:35

Ha! Have created my public page... now to set up that wide angled, panoramic lense camera...

sexkittyinwaiting · 18/01/2007 09:46

The photos have all disappeared. I did manage to upload mine but now you can't see anyone's. I should also put up a picture of my bump at the end of my last preg. that was big.

muppetisacat · 18/01/2007 10:51

Do you think they've been removed becos we're not allowed to post that sort of photo?

Jaysecond · 18/01/2007 11:12

Muppet, i doubt its becasue of the pictures themselves, i mean they are hardly x rated! The whole link to 'pictures' on everyones profile has gone and it seems that extra links have been added that weren't there yesterday, ie, links to most recent posting. I would hazzard a guess they are updating the profile pages....not that i am an expert, just a hunch!

3rdTriMossTer · 18/01/2007 11:15

Diva - well Preston is get-able-to on public transport for me... whaddaya reckon to a Primark MiniMeetup?

Can't believe they don't have a mothercare where you are. Even St Helens has one (tho' it's teeny tiny) and we still have half day closing and Sunday shutdowns! You poor thing.

Booboo my mate took the photo and my rolls of back fat were showing so when I strategically cut it so you couldn't see me stuffing my face with a choccie biccy I also cut off the back fat. Now if only I could do that in rl...

Kiwibella your bump is very arty!!!

Right I have decided I must have a digital camera. I'll try an ad on freecycle first (bit cheeky but people have asked for far more than that!) before going and getting one as they're quite expensive.

Bethoo how old are your boxers?

I'm losing track of everyone's posts actually. So sorry if it seems like I'm ignoring anyone!

bethoo · 18/01/2007 11:23

Moss - my boxers are 6.5 years old and still very hyper! just hoping they will accept that though they are still my babies, there will be another baby competeing for my attention!

LunarSea · 18/01/2007 11:26

Lol - hadn't read the thread through and starting at the top just saw "my boxers are 6.5 years old". Afraid I jumped to the conculsion you were talking underwear, not dogs

muppetisacat · 18/01/2007 11:35

Bethoo - my mad running off pointer has never lived with a baby either as my kids were 5 and 3 when we got him.

I've been given a tip to buy a plug in type pheromone emitter - looks like a plug in air freshener - but it gives out a hormone of a lactating bitch!!! Apparantly it calms them down and reminds them of puppyhood and makes them less likely to freak out at all the changes the baby brings. Whaddya think? Haven't got one yet but am tempted cos he's neurotic at the best of times.

Asked the vet if they made them for humans - I'd plug one in every room and the whole family would be chilled out...

3rdTriMossTer · 18/01/2007 11:56

Muppet I've heard of something similar for cats called Feliway, never tried it but I know two people who have and they think it's brill.

Don't know owt about the doggy equivalent though!

Bethoo, I used to be a bit nervous round Boxers (have always had dogs btw but had a few bad experiences with the breed - I know, I know, bit irrational) but dh's mate's Boxer converted me; totally crazy but sooo adorable!

My pets are my "babies" too. But I believe that will change a little when lo is born. I was speaking to my friend the other day; before she had her ds her two cats were the biggest thing in her world. But now, although she still loves them to bits, her ds is the number one thing in her life now and her cats are pets, iyswim.

On the subject of boxies though, I think some of dh's are over 6.5 years old I keep throwing them away surreptitiously and buying new ones

eidsvold · 18/01/2007 12:11

fax - got some bonds clothing to send and then thought when I get a chance to get into the city or to Chermside buy something aussie to send to them.....

divastrop · 18/01/2007 12:15

lunar-i read the whole thread and was still pmsl at 'how old are your boxers'

rosy-i wouldnt post pictures of my kids on a public forum,i wouldnt feel comfortable.

dp has commented about the technical side of this site.i wont go into detail but he said'you can tell its run by women'

moss-even preston is a 1.5 hour (ish)train journey from me.i wouldnt be able to get there and back while the kids are at school realistically

i went off chocolate and sweet things when expecting dd2.i had cravings for crisps and other savoury stuff (especially cabbage and gravy).this time i've had a thing for cream cakes and chocolate.another thing that makes me think it might not be a girly one.

7weeks 6days to go-girl??

divastrop · 18/01/2007 12:25

ive just been looking at the stats thread again to see if anybody is due near the 7th(when im getting induced)..callie was due on the 8th but i think the next closest is jay-do you have a due date buddy?

bethoo · 18/01/2007 12:35

Moss - i cant imagine anyone having bad experiences with boxers! but i am bias. thye can be a bit overwhelming since they are a jumpy breed and have to be in everywhere. they are like my shadows, even escorting me to the loo!
i may get that thing you plug in, you can also buy CDs which have babies crying on it and other sounds so they get used ot it beforethe baby arrives. i must admit i am more concerned about one of my cats who is very dominant. you know the usual cat lying on baby!
Diva - my baby boy is due on 2 March but first time babies are usually late so it may be nearer your due date! if you are craving savoury food like me, it is an old wives tale that it will be a boy. i got two big boxes of those chocolates like truffles and stuff for Xmas and they are still sat in my fridge! usually i would have eaten both boxes in one sitting by now!

Jaysecond · 18/01/2007 13:29

Pictures are back, seems they were just updating the profiles! Diva, i dont have a Due date buddy, will happily be yours if you like, seeing as we are both into our ROCK music it makes sense really! Diva my DH also commented on the technical bits and layut of this site..... but then he does do coding and writes websites all the time, i told him if he thought he could do any better to get in touch with the team..... like he would!!

I too read the 'my boxers are old' post the wrong way, i wa starting to wonder where it was going!!!

Mature chedder and Carrs cheese melt biscuits is mostly what i am eating today!!! oh followed by Petticoat tail shortcake left over from Christmas!

muppetisacat · 18/01/2007 14:01

Diva and Jay - can we do a 3 way buddy thing as I'm due on 9th too!

Bethoo are your boxers both boys?

bethoo · 18/01/2007 14:09

Moss - yes they are both boys, brothers. one is neutered the other not. they have their ailments but would not change them for the world. though Zeus attitude to other dogs i would as he is a yob! what do you have?
anyone out there babies due first week of March?

bethoo · 18/01/2007 14:10

i mean Muppet sorry!

foxabout2pop · 18/01/2007 14:10

Is it windy where you are? One of my team just got back from lunch and said she saw a street litter bin being lifted up by the wind and landing on the bonnet of a car . She told me not to venture out in case I get injured by some rogue litter bin!!

3rdTriMossTer · 18/01/2007 14:13

Bethoo it wasn't the Boxers so much as the owners, iyswim! But after Max, dh's mate's Boxer, I love them again!

Diva, nevermind I'll think of you next time I'm im Primark - it'll be when I'm buying my big knickers!!! Are you a non-driver like me then?

I have just discovered Wentworth Miller btw. He is going to be another TV boyfriend of mine. Just wanted to alert you all to him.

here he is!

bethoo · 18/01/2007 14:20

Moss - isn't that the guy from Prison Break? i think his brother in the show is yummier!
i hear that there are weather warnings all over as the winds will get up to 80mph!
i am also a non driver, i am now 29 and think i will never drive which does not bother me so much, saved me heaps of money probably though there are times like taking the dogs to the vets or how am i going to t5ake my little one to the zoo etc?
i cannot wait to finish work. only had about three hours sleep last night and i am shattered!

3rdTriMossTer · 18/01/2007 14:27

He is indeed, but I've never seen Prison Break. One of the girls here (one of my few nice colleagues) has set us up a TV Boyfriends cupboard with pictures of people, had never really seen him before but he's lurvely!

We also have David Tennant and Noel Fielding, but now have to do some work.

As for the wind, we had a load of candidates cancel today 'cos the trains were off. Of course, trains being off is the number 2 excuse in our office for candidates not turning up, (number 1 is a car crash - honestly if you actually believed all the people who had "car crashes" just before interviews, like I used to do, Liverpool'd have the most dangerous roles in the UK!) but there were so many of them that I think there may genuinely be something up with the trains...
