MIAM - sounds like you had a great weekend Bump looks fine in size - there is a girl in my relaxation class who is due in 4 weeks and she is the size I was at 16 weeks - she has been checked out and scanned several times but the baby is fine - I personally be worried but she seems reassured.

I am avoiding ebay at the moment to save buying stuff don't need - but did pop on to look at the afformentioned pushchair - looks cool .

Maveta - is that bedside cot wonky i.e. different heights on each side or is it the photo? Don't think could have a wonky cot - would go for the other one! Mine should be arriving bright and early tomorrow....fingers crossed everyone.

Had a quick look on the January thread - still so many left to go and half way through month already! That'll be me - but atleast being due on the 15th - I know it will have to come out by end of April! I am still praying for him to be 2 weeks early - think I deserve it after all the sickness, tiredness and spd.

runnyhabbit · 14/01/2007 21:26

Hi all

Miam - so glad you had a good weekend

Dh has said he'll consider a P&Ts when he's seen one in the flesh (iyswim!) but only if we sell our M&P Freestyler first. Think he's set me a challenge

Thank you all so much about SPD. Has been much much better today, but still going to get crutches. Dh been more supportive today, and we had a really good talk about it. Don't think he realised how scared I am of it getting worse until now, esp when I mentioned a c-section. The other thing that made me sad was that this might be our last pregnancy, and I really wanted it to be memorable for all the right reasons. Of course, we might decided to have another one after this......
Anyway, a new week starts tomorrow which means we're a week closer to meeting our bumps - yay!! So I'm going to have lots of positive thoughts, and if I can't do something (or it hurts) then I'm going to say so, after all dh/family/mw etc aren't mind readers

Take care (you are all fantastic!)
xxxx

muminabigtumi · 14/01/2007 21:42

Gosh - what a lot to catch up on!
Feel so sorry for Runny et al with SPD and SOL - glad your scare appears to have stopped.
I am off to bed....I knew it was too good to be true...Phil has just text me to say I have to come upstairs NOW as he has something I need to get my hands on.......sigh

He can bugger off....lol
x

weeonion · 14/01/2007 21:51

miabt - lol. hope u & phil had a nice evening. yr weekend sounded lovely - especially the pool. the bump looks fab.

maveta · 14/01/2007 22:01

MIAM - LOL! Guess he wasn´t going to let you off with just a cuddle after all? Your bump looks great. I think we are all now in the ´very definitely pregnant´ phase, there´s no running away from it!

Can´t remember what I´ve just read, sorry! Thanks for the advice re. cots. Am still torn..I also find the wonky side aspect of the bedside cot weird Pesha, think it´s the bit I can´t really get my head around..hmm.. going to go have another look at them all now. It´s just so hard only going by photos, would be easier if I could see/touch them and really get a 3-d impression. Anyway. off to eat some chocolate and then bed I think.

Night girls, chat tomorrow x

Pesha · 14/01/2007 22:11

Runny am feeling abit the same about my pregnancy. This is definitely going to be my last baby and really wanted to have a pg i could really enjoy and feel wonderful about as last 2 have been total nightmares with horrible dps and things so this was meant to be my chance to really enjoy it but have been so sick and so achey and tired and cant wait for it to be over with now. Although i suppose the up side of that is that its totally put me off ever wanting to be pg again and as we def dont want more than 3 children thats got to be better than really missing being pg and wanting to do it again. I guess

BBCFK - im due on the 16th and also really hoping i'll be couple weeks early or at least a week. The way i figure it dd was 1 week late, ds was 5 mins early so pretty much on time so this one should be 1 week early. Although knowing my luck he's gonna be born on friday 13th! Oh and i did the smooth over thing, fucking nightmare! Just slap it on and then sand it lots!! I was gonna do the whole lounge originally but after trying it decided just the one wall would do! Dunno if i was doing it wrong but used shed loads just on that wall, would have cost a fortune to do the whole room.

MIAM - really glad you had lovely weekend, am very And you're bump looks pretty much same as mine so wouldn't worry. There is a mum at playschool who is 34weeks and smaller than me! Quite liking my big bump at the moment though although struggling to find clothes that are big enough but not so big that i look like im wearing a tent!

Lol at the badminton stuff, I played tennis when 30 something weeks with dd. Now i need a crane just to get me off the sofa!

EllieK · 14/01/2007 22:12

had a fab weekend doing not a lot, tho when Stephen went to watch the footie (Norwich) on saturday and they lost (Again!), he was in a foul mood for a while. loved him being here and hated him leaving tonight but it works well us having time apart as well as lots of time together.
i have a quinny buzz but plan to sell it and get a zapp with car seat. buzz is very heavy and takes up all the boot, which as I have a Suzuki Alto (or box car as lo calls it!) isn't difficult!

OP posts:
liath · 14/01/2007 22:15

Don't suppose you want to swap your buzz for my zapp do you, Elliek? It's a nice mauve colour.

EllieK · 14/01/2007 22:21

i'd love to liath but i need the car seat too, and you're in scotland aren't you??!!!

OP posts:
liath · 14/01/2007 22:23

Ah, geography could be a problem! I'm just sick of the ruddy thing tipping backwards when I hang the shopping off the handles. It's nice & light I suppose.

EllieK · 14/01/2007 22:36

have you got a shopping basket for it? mine is great, makes it much easier to use the quinny and they make one for the zapp too x
did you have the car seat for the zapp or have you just used it as a pushchair?

Hotlipsmummy - thanks so much for the reply about the Pramette...sounds very good. We would possibly be interested in it but I think Runny spoke first and anyway, I'd like to go to mamasandpapas and see one first. I really appreciate the info. - thanks. If for some bizarre reason it doesn't sell quickly on ebay or for the price you want, (and Runny doesn't take it), let me know but please don't delay your selling plans on account of my potential interest.

MIABT - the bump looks great! And the weekend sounded fabulous. So nice to have a break from the normal routines.

Must go to bed. Have a good night all you lovely ladies. Runny - hope you don't have any more creaking and cracking tonight or ANY night! Take care.

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 15/01/2007 08:24

MY COTBED AND CHANGING TABLE ARRIVED ON TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YIIIIPPPPPPEEEEE

Pesha - have to confess - did end of getting handfuls out of tub, smearing on wall and then going over it with thingy to smooth out - had a go at sanding it last night - hit a patch that was still wet and now have a big hole [cross] - so am having to go into the wheelie bin to retrieve tub (thrown in anger!) and get another handful to slap over hole! But the bit was dry does actually look quite good - dh is too scared to look until I have finished! So will sand the rest, fill the hole and just pray it looks okay...thats my morning gone!

Then can have nice bath while ds2 at playgroup and chill out. Have friends coming for tea tonight, dentist tomorrow night, football weds...thurs/fri evenings write off after work and then the weekend and another week has gone...not that would wish time away but it is flying past.

maveta · 15/01/2007 08:43

We had such a full on day yesterday we were in bed by 11.30 which for us on a sunday is very early! (Bearing in mind we don´t have kids yet etc etc)

Finally changed our two bedrooms around, so one is now the guest-to-be-baby room and the bigger one is ours. Required dismantling and reconstructing two double beds, rehanging curtain rails which were badly hung originally, hanging another curtain, putting up some pictures, going to parents´to get kindly donated shelves for baby´s room, going to city to get kindly donated armchair for living room.

PHEW. But it´s all done and I don`t know why we didn´t arrange the rooms like this when we moved in, they look so much nicer! Next project: PAINTING..but I think a good few weekends of paint shopping will roll quietly by before we start that. QUESTION...if we use low VOC paint, can I help paint the room??

We´ve also decided to take a stand and not let the cats sleep with us, the ´naughty´ one that always escapes makes noise and wants cuddles all night long and it was getting ridiculous. Actually they have accepted the change with very little fuss and only want to come in once they hear the alarm going off which seems a fair deal. So we´re sleeping like angels lately.

Today I am determined to tackle my long awaited photo project and do something with the box full of loose photos I have. I keep putting it off but TODAY IS THE DAY.

Or maybe I´ll just hang out on MN...no bet taking please..

MORNING ALL! I´m feeling very chipper indeed, can you tell??!! Hope you all have a fabulous day x

maveta · 15/01/2007 08:46

bbck - good luck with the plastering, sounds like you have a busy week but enjoy..I am sure soon enough the time will start to crawl so we´d better make the most of it while we can! Glad your stuff arrived, I´m loving this excuse to acquire new things. I think dh is slightly less enthused though

Whoever asked about 3rd trim- sorry I can´t remember - I am 26 weeks now and have definitely decided I am 3rd tri.. bored of being 2nd tri now! I think it can be 26/27 weeks from what I have read so I am going for 26 weeks.

claricebean · 15/01/2007 09:26

Morning,

Sounds like everyone had a lovely weekend. Mine was nice - met some friends for breakfast in a cafe in a park yesterday. Loads of kids for DC to run around with and tire themselves out. Really missing DH though - 5 weeks to go.

CaptainDippy - still interested in your opinions about the P&T colours (think it was you who said you'd demo'd them in the past). What colours does anyone else have? I really want to make a decision and order mine this week. Just wish I could see them in real life first!

Maveta, sounds like you're getting v organised. Good for you.

hotlipsmummy · 15/01/2007 09:34

Morning all. Am at work so just a quick post...
IsabellyMoi - I may have read Runny's posts wrong but i thought she wants a p&t's buggy and needs to sell here M&P Freestyler? Anyway your interest is noted, I think it will take us a few days to get it listed on ebay anyway - we are very bad at getting "jobs" done during the week, evenings tend to be spent flopping in front of the tv!!

Am very impressed with those doing diy - am hopeless at that, although very good at "directing" DH and FIL when they try to get anything done!!!

Hope all have good days.

Tili · 15/01/2007 09:57

CaptainDippy · 15/01/2007 10:36

Good morning - DD1 off to Toddler Group with Grandpa and DD2 safely tucked up in cot (hoping she'll stay there for at least an hour now so I can just be quiet!!) There's not been a lot of good sleeping going on in the Dippy Household of late - DD1 has been falling out of bed loads since we moved into the new house, bless her. Think we need to swap her bed round with DD2's cot and see if that makes a diference. She v.rarely fell out of bed at our old place, poor disorientated little thing!! Anyway, so she's been getting us up three/four times a night and DD2 who ususally sleeps fantastically has been waking up cos she's got a yukky cold coming. Not to mention being woken up by v.active Bean and just generally being hot and sweaty - Eyes are all puffy today, feeling crap .... bleurgh!!

Apart from that, all ok here!

Ahem.

Eddas - I just bought some super comfy Yoga type trousers from the Moda Range at Mothercare, they are grey and v.soft nd lovely - also recommend H&M and Primark too. Hope you find something!

ClariceBean - RE: P&T colours. I really do think it is a personal choice thing - As for the green and orange - they are very vibrant - so I guess it completely depends how much of a flamboyant person you are!! They are v.bright. It is a shame you can't see them for real. P&T do a sampler (we've got one in the shop), so perhaps you could contact them and ask them to send you a sampler of all the colours?? I can ask the company we import from if you like?? Email me: [email protected] I'll see what I can do .... Personally I've got the red one and I think it is fab, but they only really had red / navy blue when I bought mine, otherwise I might have gone for the sand coloured one, which I think is nice.

Mmmmmmm ......

Another couple of quick P&T's tips:

1.) It can folded when in newborn / toddler position without having to take anything off of it (apart from the your newborn in the cocoon, of course!! )

2.) The parcel tray at the bottom can be taken off and washed in the washing machine on a delicates wash (tend to get v.grubby when you've got a naughty little toddler sticking food etc down it!!)

So there you go .....

LOL @ your desperate choc fest Cornflake - hope the tests go ok!!

MIABT - Your Bump looks fine and dandy to me sweetie - in fact, I'd say you were a wee bit smaller than me!! (When are you due again??) You look fabulous!

I'm going with third trimester starting at 28 weeks. That's what I went with when I was preggers with DD1 & DD2.

Best go and be productive .......

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 15/01/2007 10:38

My cotbed has a small dent in one of the spindles [cross] [cross] but have decided that one of my boys could do that in a nanosecond so will make sure the dent is facing the wall so can't see it - can't be bothered to send back - but there is a part of me lurking inside that needs to complain!

Managed to retrieve the polycell plaster stuff, fill in hole accidentally made last night, sand dry bit of wall and put everything back in nursery, finish my maternity allowance application, tidy up the playroom, sort the washing, put the recycling out, phone the dentist, hang up on two sales calls and now off for a very long bubble bath and will ignore ironing for a few more days! Phew...

Lovely photos tili

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 15/01/2007 10:39

Its not cross its angry - ! ROFL

Birdiebump · 15/01/2007 10:42

Look out - this is going to be a long one... Was going to do my usual late night post last night when DH complained the keyboard was making too much noise and I was typing too fast !! He's sooo irritable at the moment!

But 2 really good things happened this weekend - First, we got our bedroom back!!! DS2 (who has been in with us since mid November) has finally moved back into his beautifully decorated new room and our room is back to normal again - bliss!!! So I had a lovely read of my book and straight off to sleep last night. Actually, now that I come to think of it, maybe that's why DH is so irritable???

Second good thing - I finally bagged a Stokke Xplory pram on eBAY at a really good price. It's in black and should be delivered this Friday - I can't wait to have a play! Mind you, I live in a fairly small Devon town - they'll never have seen anything like this before - better get ready for some attention.....

Maveta if you are worried about the bedside cot you have your eye on, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Brio Bedside Cot. It's on for £199 at Babyworld.co.uk at the moment. Does the same next to the bed thing, lockable castors, then you move it into their room and it's an excellent all round cot. We'll be using ours again for this LO when she moves out of her Amby Nest cradle.

So I'm feeling pretty chipper this morning too!

Oh, except, I'm in work and I've just eaten all my sandwiches meant for lunch !!! What is going on??

CaptainDippy · 15/01/2007 10:45

Oooooh, Tili - you look lovely and your litle Beth is sooo yummy, what a cutie!! When did you two get married? Love your dress!
