I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

Thankyou :)

Oh yes I feel what you mean dilli, they seem to get more exhausting the more you have (well mine have anyway) my first wasn't too bad tbh once the initial tiredness went.

Yes lots of girls so far :) thankyou everyone.

balalalala · 21/04/2016 21:06

Wow, busy thread suddenly! Glad to hear others out of breath too but hope everyone is holding up ok. I'm now feeling rather firm kicks and even saw my stomach move yesterday.

I feel like I've been unleashed on the baby stuff.. Since the scan a week ago we've bought our travel system and about 5 little outfits! We're off for a John Lewis nursery appointment on Saturday all read to learn and be sold to!

Lilliana · 22/04/2016 07:16

Mrsceee I have bum pain too - exactly as you describe. It is a pain in the arse!

Welcome to all the new people and congratulations on scan results.

Dani our scan Is Monday too. We won't find out what we're having though. All my baby stuff is neutral from not knowing with DD so no early shopping for me. Is anyone else keeping it a surprise?

Dilligufdarling · 22/04/2016 07:56

liliana we're keeping it a surprise too:)
We did the same with DS - dh wanted to know, I didn't and I won Grin- and we were both very glad we didn't know.
We had a bit of a tense delivery and after all of the excitement it took us about 5 minutes to as what "it" was! Lol.
We haven't bought anything yet, but I'm a mad keen crocheter and have been making loads of stuff, some in nice calm neutral greys and beiges and then last week I found some fab rainbow colour change wool and made some tiny trousers... Definitely neutral, not quite so calm! Confused
I started yesterday having a little bit of pelvic pain when I take large steps - pretty sure it's the beginning of SPD, - feels like a sharp pain in the dead centre of you pubic bone, sort of (exactly like) it's stretching apart. Joy!!!

Danni89 · 22/04/2016 09:44

I wish I had the patience to wait lilli... But I'm too excited lol

Annabrooke90 · 22/04/2016 10:03

I wish I'd had the patience too, I've found out with all five of mine. I was going to keep ds4 a suprise but my older boys were really asking for a sister, so I wanted them to get used to their brother before he was here (if that makes sense lol) as I had a big feeling he was a boy. Kind of glad I have found out this time though, as I needed to prepare really, I had ds4 last year so will definitely need a double pram and ds3&4s double pram is all blue and the colour can't be changed with colour packs etc, and all the blue clothes I had; I wanted to know whether to donate them or keep them. So kind of made sense in some ways.

Annarose2014 · 22/04/2016 10:23

You're getting a new double pram just because of the colour?!

We are agonising about a double pram at the moment given a 22 month age gap. The cost of them! We don't know if we can afford it tbh. But then buggy boards are suprisingly expensive too and our current pram isn't a great design to accommodate a kid standing up in front of you anyway. My nightmare is spending hundreds and hundreds on a double buggy we only use for 6 months!

Annabrooke90 · 22/04/2016 11:09

Yes lol, but I don't mind because it wasn't majorly expensive like most doubles are, it's not a major branded name so alot cheaper. But not only colourwise, the pram will no longer fold any more which isn't practical either, it's not I don't like blue for girls because I really love the sky blue clothes that are in at the moment. But the blue on the pram just isn't very unisex looking. I'm just going to get the same pram but in black and because the price isn't so bad I don't mind paying for a new one, because in all fairness I have saved the crib with unisex bedding and the cot is white with white bedding, changing matt is neutral etc. So main things was the pram and clothes. Does not feel too bad because I had to start from scratch with my four boys, as I'd got rid of absolutely everything lol.

Ds3 was 20.5 months when ds1 was born and I definitely got enough use out of it because he really wasn't a keen Walker even though he had been walking from 10 months. But it all depends on the child really, when ds2 was born ds1 was 28 months and he loved to walk so I got a single pram and then managed to get a buggyboard for 20 pound off a friend for when he wanted a rest.

Vampishtortoise · 22/04/2016 12:36

Hi mrsceee yes I am finding out (if I can!) I'm just so excited. I never thought I'd find out and to all my friends I've always said I'd leave it a surprise but now it's me I'm just so excited. Not so much to do all the pink and blue but just to think of the baby other than an IT haha. Roll on next thursday for me, convinced it's a boy still, but that might be down to the fact I don't like a single boys name haha. Defo got a proper bump starting. I'm fairly fat anyway although I'd lost 3 stone before finding out I was pregnant but now it's getting more prominent and really noticeable especially when sat down and stuck out haha.

Lilliana · 22/04/2016 16:57

To be honest if it is a boy it will probably end up wearing lots of girly clothes Blush. I'm not pink mad so most of DD's stuff isn't overtly girly apart from the bits we were given.

FraterculaArctica · 22/04/2016 17:04

Can't remember if I said but girl for me too - we found out from Harmony test, scan not for another couple of weeks. You must have had yours early Annarose as my due date's the day before yours!

I'm definitely carrying differently this time, incipient bump seems much higher up. I had a CS last time so I'm wondering if it's just not as stretchy further down on my abdomen so has to go up! Don't think breasts have grown as much as last time. But I weighed less at the start of this pregnancy so maybe that's the difference.

DD will definitely be wearing a lot of blue clothes here!

Sharesinpampers · 22/04/2016 21:33

Congrats anna on your job and glad scan went well. sparkly hope you're feeling ok now. And hello to everyone else Smile

I've passed the 'is she/isn't she' stage - people just say congrats outright now! I'm showing bump off though and loving it Grin

Odd kicks here and there but tonight had my first proper set of kicks, even DH could feel them.

Happy Friday everyone

Evening all. DS had chicken pox Sad I could have cried when the Dr confirmed it this afternoon pregnancy hormones right? even though I know it's better he gets it now as a toddler.
Our plans to go to a petting zoo/aquarium tomorrow have gone down the drain but hopefully we can make the most of playing in the garden with his cousins who are visiting us. He's never been this quiet before and he's been quite clingy too.

Annabrook which double pram do you have and would you recommend it? I think I've pretty much decided on a Bugaboo donkey but I still haven't got round to checking if it will through our front door and look too bulky where our current single pram stays in the hallway.

Dilli and Lilliana I wish I had the patience to wait until the baby's born but I also have very eager nieces (one who is 4 and has told me it Cannot be a boy).

Tortoise wow, 3 stone! Well done! Did you follow a plan? I never did get round to doing anything consistently to lose weight after DS was born (except doing T25 a few times and screaming "It's those Damn pastries I "craved"!! Why did I have to eat so many bloody pastries?!")

If I'm having a girl this time then she Will wear DS's cute sailor outfit that I spent weeks looking for and he never once wore.

So what are everyone's weekend plans?

MrsCeee · 22/04/2016 21:50

DS has chicken pox. Typo

MrsCeee · 22/04/2016 21:52

Oh dear God. That should be in Italics and not struck through. The boy has chicken pox. Why must technology fail me??

Dilligufdarling · 22/04/2016 22:03

Oh dear Mrs creee! Hope he gets over it quickly and easily.
I suppose it will be good to have it over and done with - only saving grace really!
shares that's so exciting!! I can't wait for that :) think it will make it much more real :)
I've had wierd bubblings but tbh they feel more like wind most of the time (and could well be!)

FraterculaArctica · 22/04/2016 22:06

Sorry ignore my stupid post - confused Annarose with Annabrook so it makes no sense! Congratulations on your good news anyway!

PeppaPigStinks · 23/04/2016 07:07

Just popped on to see what everyone is having.

Ref double prams. I had a 24 month gap. My first was a good walker.

I bought a second hand double and promptly sold it.

Baby was a sling baby and dc 1 walked everywhere - or I would sling dc1 and push the baby if I needed to.

Annabrooke90 · 23/04/2016 07:34

MrsCeee, mine is just the the Isafe me and you tandem; seat units convert between carrycots and a seat, can adjust it a few ways, it's good to get through doors and on transport. I have only just passed my driving test a month and half ago, so prior to that I had to get on buses everyday for the school run which was never an issue yo get on and off. It was well worth the 280, and I got many complements from people saying it was a lovely pram. The only problems I would say with it are that it's on the heavy side. But I am definitely getting it again this time. Now I drive I don't think it will be used as much so don't want to spend a fortune on one.

I've kept all of ds's neutral clothes, and bought some mint green outfits, I like lemon and green alot. This is the first little girl in DP's family for absolute years, of the people we actually know and speak to there are no girls, and we have four boys so I'm rather enjoying the baby shopping. Promised myself I would make the most of this pregnancy because we never thought I'd be in this position again; and time flys once their here :)
