I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

Thank you, Annabrook. It does look like a lovely pram. I worry with tandems that the older child will have a restricted view although I'm not too sure how true this actually is.

Thank you, Peppa I will have a 23/24 month gap too but I already wear DS on my back in a wrap at home and will do the same for baby so the idea of also wearing a sling outdoors doesn't appeal to me. DS is a decent walker but he still has an afternoon nap and I would hate to be out of the house when he decides to sleep.
Do you know what you're having yet?

I figured I'll get a double that easily converts to a single pram too. So I'll use it for a decent amount of time either way.

Annabrooke90 · 23/04/2016 08:31

Older one usually goes in the top seat unit initially as that's the bigger one of the two seats of the Isafe. It can be faced world facing or parent facing, so they don't really lose out on views etc. But I do remember when I had ds4, I had to put him in the top carrycot for the first few weeks, he was 5ib 15 so it felt strange that most of the weight was on the front (from ds3) made it abit hard to lift up onto kerbs etc. The bottom seat comes off easily to convert to a single. But as I say mine won't fold down now so I can't get it in the car, so using a stroller at the moment. I did get a year guarantee from the store, but I lost my receipt...stupidly.

zeeka · 23/04/2016 11:00

Thanks for the fibroid feedback mrs cree and I'm sorry to hear about the chickenpox! I hope it's a mild one and he's better soon Flowers

Only good thing about the fibroid is lots of scans so chances to see the baby! I have had 3, got 2 more in the next 3 weeks!

I'm feeling kicks Smile or somersaults or something. Only round the edges of my womb, I think, as I have an anterior placenta (annoying.... Was so disappointed as surely the kicks are the best bit about being pregnant!)

As I've only had a twin pushchair before, no idea about prams... Need to do some research and ebaying!
Twin pushchair advice for those of you looking: I had twin jané pushchair. Was really good as very light, hand held brake and good tyres. Not great at sharp corners and will tip with shopping and just one child in back. Overall it was very hardwearing, I walked a lot!

PeppaPigStinks · 23/04/2016 11:33

I have found out. But DH doesn't want to know.
We asked the sonographer to write it on paper in a sealed envelope.... It might have been a sunny day, and it might have been a cheap envelope. So I might have just held it up to the sun Grin

Annabrooke90 · 23/04/2016 11:50

Zeeka, I have anterior too, had posterior with my boys; feels much different. I keep getting little kicks at my belly button area, which I presume the placenta is just below there...because I only feel them there and to the lower sides of my belly.

Peppapigstinks Grin haha.

Kafeeundkuchen · 23/04/2016 12:56

Please could I join? I'm due Sept 16th - 19 weeks now and scan on Wednesday- excited!!!

zeeka · 23/04/2016 22:52

Hi kafee!
annabrooke good, we can compare notes!! I hope we feel a bit more as the pregnancy progresses Smile. I can feel at the lower edges and just under belly button too.

MrsCeee · 24/04/2016 10:11

Than you for the pushchair recommendations. I keep telling myself there's still plenty of time to figure it all out.

More chances to see the baby sound lovely, Zeeka Smile
I think DS's chickenpox actually isn't too bad. He only seems to want to scratch during the night and once we've applied more calamine lotion he's easily settled. Nappy changes aren't too great though as he seems to have quite a few spots concentrated in that area and he keeps tugging at it with a pained expression Sad

Peppa, haha! But how on earth will you manage to keep this secret for so long? I suppose you can buy obvious colours and simply put them away in a drawer somewhere and if your DH is anything like mine then he just won't see them.

Welcome and Congratulations, Kafee! Will this be your first? Will you also be finding out the gender next Wednesday?

ninecoronas · 24/04/2016 10:21

Liliana we're thinking we'll keep it a surprise too. Our scans on Monday like you and Danni- good luck all!

We haven't bought anything yet but a couple of mates came round with some lovely hand me downs last night: a basket, some clothes, a mobile, a "baby bjorn"... so generous I would have cried if I hadn't already exhausted my tear supply over everything from Prince songs to my tea going cold Smile

Lilliana · 24/04/2016 11:11

Hi kafkee I'm due on the 16th too.

mrsceee have you had oat baths?DD loved them when she had chicken pox. Just stick porridge oats in a sock/tights and put in the bath. Also piriton was out best friend for a few days! Hope he's ok.

Ha ha peppa My cousin knew because the scanner let it slip and couldn't cover it. She didn't tell anyone, even her husband (he wasn't at the scan), for the whole pregnancy - no clue how she managed it and we badgered her non stop to try to find out (I was about 9 at the time!)

MrsCeee · 24/04/2016 11:51

Ah, thank you, Lilliana! I should have some oats somewhere in the kitchen and will try that for his bedtime bath. He's currently walking around looking like a ghost in a nappy, pretending to be a cat. Whatever keeps him happy...

Annabrooke90 · 24/04/2016 12:02

Welcome kafee :)

Zeeka, I felt quite some lovely movements last night and with my hand too. Made me smile.

It's ds2's birthday party later tonight, going bowling and for a meal. Looking forward to it :)

Lilliana · 25/04/2016 15:22

All went well with scan. Baby was very wiggly and made life tricky so I had to go for a walk a bounce around a bit! We resisted and are still team yellow.

How did the other scans go today? Danni, Nine?

How are the spots going MrsCeee?

Danni89 · 25/04/2016 17:26

Hi girls, my scan went well- measurements all seem ok Smile

We are team Blue!! Excited! We can now start buying!

September 2016 - End of pregnancy sickness is in sight....please!
Lilliana · 25/04/2016 19:05

Congratulations Danni your picture is much better than ours - we have a lovely shot of baby's back Grin He didn't charge us though as he said he couldn't for that!

Danni89 · 25/04/2016 19:31

Our baby was upside down too.. Had to do a lot of wiggling to get the right measurements lol...

Dilligufdarling · 25/04/2016 19:51

Gorgeous pic danni :) can't wait for my scan in 2 weeks!!

zeeka and anna I've got anterior as well.
I've been doing a little reading as was a bit sad that the movements would be less than posterior (although I suppose in the scheme of things it's not that bad!)
Apparently as time goes on the placenta can migrate upwards so it has less and less of a dulling effect - that cheered me up a lot :)
Am also getting a Doppler for reassurance until the kicks start properly. I think I've felt something a few times but nothing to be sure of yet.

MrsCeee · 25/04/2016 19:57

How lovely! Glad to hear the scans went well, Danni and Lilliana! I think this might be the first boy in the group too.

Most of the spots have scabbed over now. He has some in his mouth and his appetite isn't too great. On the bright side, we've managed to have 2 long naps today Grin My back/hips have been so painful though...I'm tempted to have a pity party.

How is everyone else feeling?

PeppaPigStinks · 25/04/2016 20:01

I have my bestie on board for storage! But I will be gutted if he finds out from me.
I will just keep suggesting different boys and girls names. And I don't think we need too much of the colour!

Annabrooke90 · 25/04/2016 20:24

Congratulations on good scans and yay on team blue Dani :)

Dilli, I'm getting rather good movements these past few days, always seems to happen when I lay down in bed at night lol. Although probably not as strong as my other babies at this point. But ahh well they can still be felt eventually so that is all that matters.

Dilligufdarling · 25/04/2016 21:29

How many weeks are you annabrooke? Am hoping the movements will start for me soon - am only 18 + 3 now so it's still early days.

sparklystars20 · 26/04/2016 08:17

Morning all! Glad scans have been going well - it's so lovely to 'see them' (even though I never actually believed it was happening in MY tummy Hmm!!)

Sorry to hear about the chicken pox - hopefully he's recovering quickly Thanks

I have an anterior too but been feeling movements internally for quite a while as she's soooo low down and she's breech so doing a merry dance on my bladder!
But this morning was the first time I have SEEN my belly moving from kicks & when gently pressing I have then felt kicks back on my hand Smile Such a wonderful experience - shame hubby was at work and missed it!
I'm now 22wks so those not feeling anything yet I'm sure it won't be long before you do... And when you're being booted in the ribs at all hours you will miss the little flutters you were feeling!!!

Wishing lots ofBrew&Cake to you all xx

Annarose2014 · 26/04/2016 09:50

I'm 19 wks and anterior and just feel a squirm about once a day. But that's ok, as long as I was able to say "yes" to the MW when she asked me about movements the other day.

Congrats Danni on your little boy! Mine is a year and a half old and hilariously crazy. I've come to love little boys. Tinkering with everything and zooming around at top speed. Adorable.

That said, since this is my last I've realised I really really want a girl this time. It worries me as I love boys and don't want to be disappointed if they tell me it's another boy. It'll be more the realisation that I'll never ever have a daughter if that makes sense. I had a dream the other night that the sonographer said it's a boy and I had to fake excitement. I woke up feeling so guilty and it had only happened in a dream! Scan on 10th May and I have to give myself a good slap before then.

Annabrooke90 · 26/04/2016 10:40

I am 20+5 now dilli. I felt the very early flutters as normal before the placenta must have grown bigger, then from week 14-16 I felt nothing at all. Started feeling them around 17 weeks again but just the odd one and could go days without feeling again. Feel her every day now and the odd time when I'm laid down can see my belly twitch abit. But that being said this is my 5th baby so that obviously helps and I started this pregnancy in the "underweight" category (although cake cravings has sorted that out Grin).

How's everyones bumps coming on? Has people started to notice yet? I still haven't told barely anyone. My mum and dad still don't know. I really want to tell mum now but I'm so nervous to tell her.

Annabrooke90 · 26/04/2016 10:49

Yes Anna that's how I felt a few year back. I always grew up assuming I'd just have a daughter (aswell as a boy) and when I'd convinced myself ds3 was a girl, realisation that I would never have a daughter kind of hit for a day or two but then went. He was supposed to be my last baby, but then came ds4 and now I am pregnant with a girl. But in all honesty being a mum to all boys is fab and I was fully expecting this baby to be a boy too. That feeling you have is very normal for some people, don't beat yourself up about it....it does go :)
