I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

Congratulations Dilli!

Welcome to all the ladies joining.

Sorry to hear about others suffering with SPD and other aches.

balalalala · 23/06/2016 20:50

Well I've had the 4d scan - exactly 30wks today! Definitely still a girl and all looking good! She even smiled at us! So exciting, she looks like a real little baby already.

Danni89 · 23/06/2016 21:03

Awww so cute, glad it went well bala

Congrats dilli!

Welcome newbies

Bobbycatz · 23/06/2016 21:14

Dilligufdarling · 24/06/2016 16:26

Cheers guys Grinjust can't wait now!

bala that picture is totally gorgeous!

Anyone else feeling absolutely enormous at the moment?
I'm a bit scared that there are still potentially 15 weeks left (if I go 2 weeks over) and that's ALOT of expanding time!

Bobbycatz · 24/06/2016 18:51

Yes Dilli I'm starting to worry about weight gain as well, people are already sounding surprised when I say I'm only 27wks... I'm also starting to think shit, I've got to birth this baby and its still not full size yet!

Sharesinpampers · 24/06/2016 19:04

I feel big too, though I do remember feeling big at this stage last time too and being amazed how big the bump got without popping! I keep banging it into things too Blush

OP posts:
Bobbycatz · 24/06/2016 19:14

Yes shares I've tried to squeeze past people and have just crashed into them with my bump! I also have to stand up to answer my work phone because I can't lean over my desk and the phone wires to short!

Sharesinpampers · 24/06/2016 19:41

Glad it's not just me bobby! I felt like an eegit taking calls standing up at work, though it was because sitting all day was just not comfy. Not that anyone cared of course, they understood!

OP posts:
Dilligufdarling · 24/06/2016 22:58

Not just me then!
I'm pretty sure I already look full term, although am measuring bang on for the dates.m...

And yyy to banging into things!

Dilligufdarling · 25/06/2016 06:41

Arrrrrgh!! Being woken by cramp is THE MOST HORRIBLE way to wake up everrrrr!!!

shabbychic1 · 25/06/2016 07:04

Hi all I've not been on here for a little while hope everyone is well!! I get cramp in my legs in the morning and it's awful! But last night I woke up to find moving was so painful- my chest (jusy under boobs, rib muscles) feel like I've been stretched in a torture machine or I've lifted some serious weights! Ok if I keep absolutely still sitting up but otherwise, wow the pain! Apparently baby's pushing everything else up into rib area and stretching the muscles- I'm 28wks and baby measuring big (32cm fundal length) Whatever it is is hurts!!! Anyone else measuring big- my midwife didn't seem concerned, said measuring isn't an exact science (and I wonder if being plus size makes it less exact!?). I have 2nd GTT Wednesday, she said as long
As that comes back ok it should be plain sailing from here and she'd be more bothered if baby was measuring really small.

QueenEnid · 25/06/2016 08:01

Hi ladies. Can I join too. :)

I posted on the last thread and got moved over here!

Dc1 due 16/9. Team yellow for us. X

Dilligufdarling · 25/06/2016 08:24

Hi queen!

shabby I've only been measured the once and was around average.
That said given how much the uterus lifts if you need a wee etc I can imagine it's not an exact science at all.
I'm really tall (6ft) so there's much more space from my pelvis to my ribs than in someone who's 5'3 so I guess I wouldn't stick out so much in front?
With DS I measured average all along, mw guessed him to be about 7.5lbs and he was 10!

Similarly if you're plus size then this probably throws it out too? But maybe makes babies look bigger than they are instead?

That rib thing sounds really painful though - i wonder if your ribs are "flaring"?

shabbychic1 · 25/06/2016 10:20

Ooh I'll look up rib flaring! I feel out of breath too, and emotiona! At DSC's swimming and a black and white ww2 movie was on silent with subtitles, the 3 Brit spy women were just shot by the nazis and I started crying! My DH didn't know what was wrong lol!! Looked like a good film though!!!
Welcome Queenenid we're due date buddies! Grin how are you doing?

shabbychic1 · 25/06/2016 10:25

Dili It sounds like it's rib flare! Awful!!! Oh well, only 11ish weeks to go lol!!

Bobbycatz · 25/06/2016 11:26

Gosh Shabby rib flare sounds painful. It's so true when people say to enjoy the 2nd trimester as I feel that it's all going downhill!

Ok so I have a stupid ftm question. This morning I entered into organising mode and decided to start washing the clothes, sheets etc as ive been given a lot and it's all pilling up. Anyway I was wondering I have a number of vests, some shorts sleeve things but mostly full onesies. I am going to try swaddling for the first few weeks then move in to gro bags and was wondering what the baby wears to bed. From what I've been reading they should wear one more layer than you, so I'm thinking vest, onesie then gro bag? So do babies have "day" clothes and "night" clothes or do people use them interchangeably Blush. I think I have baby brain because this has me Confused. I assume as some point you transition them in to pyjamas but are baby pyjamas just clothes?

shabbychic1 · 25/06/2016 16:38

All my friends said they used the same baby grows for day and night with feet in for about 6 months or longer - much easier than 'clothes'. Don't know about how many layers yet, going to ask at NCT.

Is anyone else exhausted? Had very stressful week- examiners in on Thursday. I physically and mentally crashed Friday and took day off and slept til 4. Today we've taken DSC to their swim lesson then museum and short town trip for books for them then groceries, out from about 10-3 , ate lunch st 11.45 and from 1 onwards I felt shattered. Literally like a zombie and I ached. I've come home and gone to bed so I feel bad for DH as he's got the 2DSC and tea to sort but I think I'd cry if I had to get up. Going to try to get out if any trips tomorrow too so I can rest, hate feeling this useless and tired. Sad

shabbychic1 · 25/06/2016 16:38

Ps examiners passed everything well! Phew, still felt awful the day after!

Annarose2014 · 25/06/2016 17:59

Bobby for the first 3 months babies wear the same thing 24/7: short sleeved vest & sleepsuit. You change day & night but realistically change every time there's poo on them so maybe 4 in a 24 hr period! Grin

Grobag over the sleepsuit at night. I think they're 10 lbs plus. No blankets needed.

If it's freezing then when you go outside you put a furry zip up onesie thing on over it all.

So its quite simple. Buying a packet of long sleeved vests can be handy if we've a freezing winter but indoors it rarely gets that cold tbh so short sleeved is fine.

My lad is 19 months and still wears short sleeved popper vest & sleepsuits at night. Some people only bother transitioning to pyjamas when potty training for ease of access when caught short. I'm in no hurry as he writhes around so much his tummy would be permanently cold in pyjamas!

Proper day clothes really only start to happen when they're about 4 months old and you start to feel silly having them in sleepsuits all the time. Or when your Mum starts making barbed comments lol.

Annarose2014 · 25/06/2016 18:03

In other news....I'm having to go off work already cos of SPD. I'm a nurse and can barely walk to the local shop let alone walk a ward for 12 hrs. Quite upset about it tbh but hey ho. It just sucks when you're powerless over something. Especially as I feel pretty decent otherwise!

Still waiting on physio referral but found my old belt from last time which is cumbersome but helps a wee bit.

Bobbycatz · 25/06/2016 23:22

Thanks Anna that's useful. Sorry to hear about your spd, hopefully it will ease now that your not working.

Shabby glad the exams went well, yes I'm starting to get tired again, I usually just get home and I'm in my pyjamas by 8, although I'm finding it hard to sleep at night between the trips to the toilet and the general tossing and turning!

shabbychic1 · 26/06/2016 16:22

I know I'm up about 4 times in night and I'm normally a tummy sleeper so find it difficult to get comfy, every night I almost roll onto tum and get big kicks telling me to move!! And I've started to snore!!! Omg! Wakes me up! My poor DH lol!!!!! Grin Confused
