Thread #4 - TTC#1 the one where Stark joins the grads!!!!

Runner05 · 21/03/2016 12:33

Welcome to another riveting instalment of TTC#1 grads.

We've got new grads POAS every day just to make sure, 1st Trimesters wondering if they will be hit by the dreaded morning sickness or not, those approaching the hollowed promised land of the second trimester where all is good and the glowing will prevail... Those who have reached the second trimester and are thoroughly miffed at the lack of glowing.
We have scan photos, bizarre symptoms and the joys of baby shopping, and very importantly we now have Stark!

All are welcome on the wild gas powered ride that is TTC#1 grads Grin

Runner re:movements I know exactly what you mean. I keep getting told off by DH for all the prodding I'm doing to try and wake up Pip to check he's still happy to move. As you said though it's far to early to be noticing patterns and worrying when they're quiet. Just more for us to go slightly mad with.

Mileymoocow · 29/03/2016 11:32

Morning all! Much more nauseous today but still only vomited once so it's still better than it was.

I also came back to bed with OH at 8am (was up at 7) and have just woken up. All I want to do is sleep.

My scan is a week tomorrow, too Pink Smile

Runner05 · 29/03/2016 12:17

Imp usually they check for a UTI as spotting can be a result of that even if you have no other symptoms. They might do an early scan if you're lucky although I have no idea what a French dr would do.

Bunch lol, yup, that looks about right. And glad it's not just me with movement obsession. Pore Potato can't win, when he's really active I tell him off for kicking me, when he's not I keep drinking cold water to make him move.
Really weird, I was looking at a diagram of where/how big he is today and it suddenly hit me that he's an actual baby shaped creature and those kicks are him moving actual arms and legs... I knew this but it hadn't properly registered before.

aww Miley I really wish there was a magic wand to make you better Thanks

Round ligament, back and hip pain is horrible today Sad finding it really hard to sit in my chair at work without wincing. Want to go straight to bed tonight but I need to sort the bedroom and get the new bed up.
Mmmm... Shiny new bed Grin

I get aches everywhere run i sit or lay down runner i feel your pain!

I am on final day of fibre eating mission before I give in and go to the dr... I havent been to the loo since last wednesday nights extreme purge situation. Am hoping all this fruit and veg will do the trick!

LisaTheGreek · 29/03/2016 13:23

Ouch, Nev, that sounds horrible! Didn't realise you'd been blocked up for so long, poor thing.

I'm sure the Dr will have something they can prescribe. Sounds like something is definitely needed if the right foods aren't working.

Fingers crossed for you!

Runner05 · 29/03/2016 13:26

Aww Nev definitely sounds like you need q little help. Isn't pregnancy delightful.

I just burst out laughing in the office because Potato kicked my so hard it made me jump lol

Hi ladies

Bloody hell nev five days is a long time!

Ah runner am jealous of all your movement, think my anterior placenta must be cushioning it all.

Well, tmi warning - DTD last night, and OH couldn't achieve a happy ending. Had a quick chat and apparently he is struggling to DTD now that there is a bump!!! I said so what are we not going to DTD until after its born, and he said 'maybe not'. I was dreading this I must admit. Although apparently BJs should be ok - shock!!

X

Nevlet · 29/03/2016 13:51

Id say more brick fairy! I am hoping after that more will follow... Sorry for tmi!

Mileymoocow · 29/03/2016 13:57

shelb this is my fear too. OH is absolutely fine with dtd right now but is already asking if I'm ok half way through... bjs are also off the menu as he doesn't want me to swallow any at all in case the baby gets it 😂😂😂😂😂 brilliant.

Nevlet · 29/03/2016 13:59

Shelb i sympathise with you! OH has been totally off the idea but won't talk about it if we do dtd he also struggles to finish now. I feel like it must be that he isnt attracted to me now I look different he says thats ridiculous he is and there is no problem...

shelbTa · 29/03/2016 14:10

Sorry to hear you're in the same boat ladies but I'm glad I'm not alone!!!

Haha miley that hilarious!!!

I know, I don't want us to become a couple that Only has the baby in common, we use to have a decent sex life. Mind you the size of my nips now - I dot blame him for not going near them!!!

X

Runner05 · 29/03/2016 14:24

We're in the same boat but mostly because I'm tender and uncomfortable so don't want to (and my gag reflex is a bit touchy at the moment Blush)
I get around it by just making him "happy" (and he's not complained yet!) but I can see how it would be disturbing if you were up for it and he wasn't...
I'm sure things will go back to normal once they're not worried about poking the baby though Wink

Sodasoda · 29/03/2016 15:50

I'm a bit worried because I'm the one that's gone off it! DH is as keen as ever but I just don't feel like it. I feel fine - no nausea or tiredness etc now but my sex drive seems to have taken a nosedive. When we do it, it feels better than normal (more blood down there?) but I just don't really feel keen to initiate etc. Anyone else feeling like that? Thought I'd hop on board with the TMI chat Grin

LisaTheGreek · 29/03/2016 15:56

Yep, same here Soda. There is no way I am up for it right now. I'm either too tired, or just feel too nauseous. I can sex if I've got the flu or a cold, but something about nausea just takes away ANY semblance of sexiness....

Plus, I think I'd be too worried about vomming on him.... Blush

DH doesn't seem to mind though. He's all full of the 'helplessness' about my sickness, and feels really guilty Grin. No way is he going to push it until I feel better!

Nevlet · 29/03/2016 15:59

Soda lisa i felt like that for first 13/14 weeks too totally lost interest... For last month i think i have had all those lost weeks of sex drive on top of whats normal. And its about ten times better than it was before I was pg. however i am getting next to no use out of this as dp has gone right off it!!

Sodasoda · 29/03/2016 16:03

Thanks ladies.nev I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and was looking forward to second trimester sex drive increase which I read about - and told DH about! But it hasn't happened for me yet Sad.

I didn't feel much like it in first trimester and also had a bit of bleeding which put us both off but I feel fine now just not much like having sex. I hope things get better. DH is really understanding but sex is / was a really nice and important part of our relationship and really don't want to lose it Confused

Runner05 · 29/03/2016 16:17

Yep not even remotely interested in sex at the moment but it is supposed to be about 50/50 as to whether you do or not.
I think it's just important to keep the intimacy even if you aren't having sex... Plus, just think how good it'll be when you do feel like it Wink

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 29/03/2016 18:08

I'm not into it either, really taking some effort from OH to get me in the mood. It definitely doesn't happen on my bad days so it's very rare we have any sex at all at the moment!

Question, when does the super sensitive smell die down? I'm sick of it already, I can't open the fridge door or fill the d's washer without feeling horrendously nauseous and I think is the smells

Runner05 · 29/03/2016 18:13

Mine went with the nausea Miley but that may have been a bit of a chicken and the egg thing. About 13 or 14 weeks.

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 29/03/2016 18:16

runner are you completely nausea free now? I can't remember how it feels!

Jamjar12 · 29/03/2016 19:03

Lol for all the talk of DH not being up for sex because there's a bump! I'm going to ask mine tonight what he thinks. I've ages before I get a bump yet though! I suppose it'd be weird if they were up for it especially because there's a bump I guess!!

Runner05 · 29/03/2016 19:12

Not 100% Miley but nearly. If I don't eat I still get a bit nauseous and my stomach isn't as strong as it was. It's a million times better than morning sickness though!

I've definitely forgotten what it's like to feel normal and everything really is an effort now Confused
