Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

Thank you so much. I just don't know what to do with myself. My first two pregnancies we're normal and I had two happy healthy babies, so just assumed this pregnancy would be the same.

Hi everyone. I deleted my account after my news but reading hightyy's post I had to come back but I've had to change my username slightly.
So sorry to hear this hightyy, we are in the same position. My first two pregnancies were straight forward and resulted in two healthy girls.
Ive been under the care of an EPAC I've had two blood tests now to compare my HCG level and it is slightly decreasing but I still haven't miscarried.
I would really recommend getting a gp referral to your early pregnancy unit so they can monitor you. I've got to go back for another scan tomorrow to double check my pregnancy wasn't ectopic this is a concern as my spotting was very dark brown in colour.
Thinking of you xx

Hightyy117 · 23/03/2016 15:17

Thank you for commenting fi1984,
I'm sorry to hear and thinking of you also during your worrying time.

I'm so nervous about seeing the doctor, part of me still hopes everything's fine but I knew as soon as I saw my negative test this morning it's not. I'll ask about the EPAC although I've never heard of one in my area, will it be within my antenatal unit? I've never experienced this before so concerned that they'll just put it down to a chemical pregnancy and that'll be it. I really wanted this baby and I'm scared now for any future pregnancies 😔

Penguinepenguins · 23/03/2016 15:35

Ladies I'm so sorry for what your going through, it really it is so difficult I know it feels impossible but you will get through it. Be kind to yourselves, people will say stupid things but it's because they don't understand so don't take it to heart.

I've had at least one chemical miscarriage (which is before 4 weeks, so if the worse highty it's not that and even if it was it doesn't make any less easier xx) I also have had a miscarriage when I thought I was 10 weeks to find I'd miscarried at 7weeks - it's never easy but you do get through it.

My EPU were marvellous, definitely ask your doctor to refer you if there is one near you as they are excellent, they see this day in day out (how they do it I don't know) and they showed me so much respect love and kindness.

I'm just so sorry for both of you X and my heartbreaks for you but you will get though it I promise xx

Canters15 · 23/03/2016 15:40

Oh hightty, you poor thing. It does sound a bit like a chemical, which doesn't make it hurt any less- I had one a couple of months ago and was really quite devastated. It might help you to know that this is very common and almost always just down to bad luck and shouldn't have any bearing on the future. I hope your gp was sympathetic, please take it easy over the next few days.

I feel slightly ridiculous after earlier moan as boobs on fire again! Think the levelling out of the hormone makes sense. The wait til the first scan is an eternity, I can't believe I used to find the 2ww hard.

Hows the pain fuzzy? Any better?

fi1984 · 23/03/2016 16:31

Penguinepenguin
That's such a lovely message. Thank you. I've had about a week to get my head around it now and although I'm still upset and shocked I'm coming to terms with he fact it's just one of those things. I know nothing I did caused this to happen. The nurses looking after me are pretty certain I had a blighted ovum, where the sac grows but the baby never develops, they think they can see an empty sac in my uterus but not 100% sure as scan was unclear at some angles hence the rescan tomorrow.
Hightyy my EPAC or epu is in the local hospital. My gp referred me as soon as I'd told him I had prolonged spotting. I'm the sort of person who needs all the facts to be able to get it straight in my head so I'm glad they've monitored me the way they have.
I'm uncertain as to whether we'll try again. Early days at the mo xxx

FuzzyOwl · 23/03/2016 16:37

Thinking of you both Fi and Hightyy.

No Canters, it has been constant all day. It feels like someone kicked me repeatedly in the stomach yesterday and I now feel bruised and sore but it is definitely a different pain to the normal pregnancy cramps and it isn't coming and going like they have. I am really really hoping it is because I had such bad diarrhoea yesterday but I honestly don't know that would hurt my stomach to this extent. If I wasn't scared of being sent for a scan and being told I have miscarried, I would have gone to a doctor today. All my nausea and other symptoms have stopped as well and I feel quite awake. Am really really worried now as the only thing I remember from when I had my missed miscarriage was weeks of a constant stomach pain.

fi1984 · 23/03/2016 16:43

Fuzzy I'd make a doctors appointment just to be on the safe side especially if you've had a mc before. Thinking of you too xxx

FuzzyOwl · 23/03/2016 16:50

Thanks Fi and I think I will have to. Xxx

Penguinepenguins · 23/03/2016 16:53

Mine is an EPU :) I guess they call them different things in different places - amazing amazing people!

For me it was my first pregnancy and am now on my second :) four months later am petrified but trying to keep very positive! your make it through xx take it one day at a time xx

likeawestern · 23/03/2016 17:02

Fuzzy make an appointment!! Thinking of you and fi and Hightyy.

Baby40, the dating function on the clear blue digital is 60% accurate according to the small print so don't read too much into it.

fi1984 · 23/03/2016 17:07

I don't want to scare you fuzzy but with pains like that is want to rule out an ectopic asap.
The nurses that I've seen have been absolutely brilliant. Can't praise them enough. x

Jade1212 · 23/03/2016 17:09

Sending lots of good wishes and warm hugs to Fi, Fluffy and Hightyy BrewThanks

Hightyy117 · 23/03/2016 17:11

Update- going back tomorrow to have bloods done, doctor said if HCG levels still quite high then they'll refer me to EPU to be monitored. If they're not then it's most likely to be an early miscarriage, just got to wait and see now. Thank you fo the messages xx

Hightyy117 · 23/03/2016 17:55

Oh thinking of you Fuzzy I was so scared going to the doctor today, but it's definitely best to.

Canters15 · 23/03/2016 18:03

Oh fuzzy. Please please go and see your gp, this doesn't sound normal. It could def be diarrhoea related and nothing to do with the pregnancy at all but it needs looking into. I understand why you're so worried about going in but you need to know what's going on in there. Flowers

FuzzyOwl · 23/03/2016 18:50

Thanks everyone. If the pain is the same, then I will see my GP tomorrow (assuming I can get an appointment) but otherwise I have my booking in appointment with my midwife first thing on Tuesday morning.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 23/03/2016 19:58

Hi ladies. Just popping in to send Flowers to all who are having worrying symptoms etc. Thinking of you all. After worrying about lack of nausea yesterday I have spent the day having to try really hard not to vomit on my students. Really not fun. Confused

Jamjar12 · 24/03/2016 07:04

Hi all, can I join please? I've just seen a few names I recognise here too, so hi to my TTC group grads :)

I'm 5 weeks today (finally, after finding out at 3+6!) and Ovia puts my DD around 24th November.

I feel exhausted! I'm literally getting home from work and lying on the sofa until bed time. I'm not sure if it's general end of term teacher fatigue or baby related. I have no desire to eat anything but will tuck in when it's put in front of me. Boobs are very sore and I'm starting to get cramps. It all seems a bit fast for 5 weeks, not sure how much of it is imagined or real symptoms!

Wishing you all sticky beans :)

pickledsausage · 24/03/2016 07:17

How are you doing this morning fuzzy?

Hi jam :)

Fedupithink · 24/03/2016 07:30

Thinking of you today Fuzzy

I've picked up a horrible cold which appeared yesterday afternoon, I feel awful and have a really long day ahead. Lucky it's a 4 day weekend.

I'm now of course worried that having a cold in early pregnancy could negatively impact the baby...

findingmyfeet12 · 24/03/2016 07:33

Fuzzy, I hope you're feeling better this morning.

Jamjar, welcome to the thread. Your post described me exactly. I felt the same way and at about 5/6 weeks I had some pretty severe cramping and general abdominal twinges. I also had what felt like a stitch for about a week - I've now had a scan at 7+4 and everything seems to be ok.

Littlegreycat, I hope your nausea is better today (inless, like me, you're secretly glad of it as its a positive sign!)

findingmyfeet12 · 24/03/2016 07:34

Fedup - I'm just coming out the other side of a bad cold. I was feverish too and, touch wood, it hasn't affected anything. Hope you feel better soon. Just make sure you keep well hydrated.

Starla268 · 24/03/2016 07:37

Welcome jamjar! I'm also sharing in your fatigue - stupidly agreed to do an extra shift after normal work yesterday and felt like the living dead by the end of it!

Fedup, I've also had a really awful cold, took two days off work with it - horrible with the fatigue and sickness as well. Look after yourself and take it easy Thanks
