Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

I am so sorry Writer and it does sound like you have miscarried. It might be worth calling your surgery anyway to ask what to do if you start bleeding and there are problems as they may refer you to the EPU for a scan, although you understandably might not want to go with your husband away. Tidythatmess · 03/03/2016 14:42

I'm really sorry writer Sad

I've been in your situation twice and it's so unfair x

FuzzyOwl · 03/03/2016 19:32

I am not sure whether I have a sinus infection now or need a filling. I have had a cold for the last two weeks that is showing no signs of easing and now if feels like the root in a top tooth hurts. I've never had this before but when I blow my nose or sneeze I can actually feel the pain tracing a line down to this tooth, but that could be the same if I needed a filling I suppose. The only other time I have ever had toothache was last pregnancy and that lasted a couple of days and was over, but this has been like it for a while. Any suggestions?

mangocoveredlamb · 04/03/2016 08:46

Sounds grim Fuzzy can you go to the doctors and see what they say?

I have now had a cold for 6 weeks, and now can't take any of the good medicines.

In other news I told my boss yesterday (for risk assessment purposes mainly) and he asked me if I was please 3 times... Hmm

FuzzyOwl · 04/03/2016 09:23

I might see the dentist first, just to rule anything out. I also have a cold mango but had one for weeks during my last pregnancy as well. I consider them to be symptoms. Sometimes I think that people don't know what to say, but feel the need to say anything and get it wrong. Whereas other times it appears we are surrounded by inconsiderate idiots! Not sure which category your boss falls into but hopefully either way he will shut up now.

AlbusPercival · 04/03/2016 10:30

I have had a weird rash on my stomach since before I knew,

It is soo itchy, its like red dots all up my stretch marks, which until now were so faded that you couldnt see them. Much worse if I get warm

AlbusPercival · 04/03/2016 10:36

Anyone have any idea what it is?

November 2016. Hoping for sticky ones!!!
Thurlow · 04/03/2016 10:45

Fuzzy, if you put your head down between your knees, does it feel like your head is about to explode? Or does it hurt if you press your fingers under your cheekbones on either side? Sinus problems can feel an awful lot like toothache (I ended up at the dentists with the same ache a while ago) and they can give you same ache. I think it's the inflammation pressing on nerves near the tooth that makes it feel like toothache, or something like that.

I'm so fucking tired already. This is not good. I can't sleep properly at all, I need to pee every few hours, and if I do wake up and need to pee then I have a dodgy stomach and need to eat too, then I've woken up a bit and I can't fall straight back to sleep and can hear every single sound DP makes. I'm going to kill him soon. Of course, this may have a lot less to do with pregnancy and more to do with nicotine withdrawal Grin Poor DP, having to deal with both at the same time.

But I really am so tired, and I'm in fear of how I get through the next few weeks (the dreaded 9-10w exhaustion) working f/t with a commute and a 4yo... Shock

Thurlow · 04/03/2016 10:45

Albus, is it prickly heat?

AlbusPercival · 04/03/2016 10:48

Dont think so Thurlow as I have had it for two and a half weeks without going away

FuzzyOwl · 04/03/2016 11:02

Yes Thurlow putting my head down does exactly that! Thanks and at least I now know. I would blame your DH over nicotine withdrawal! Really hope it eases and you get some decent sleep soon.

Albus I have already had some itching and ligament pain so is it possible your body is just starting to prepare for the baby already? Have you seen a midwife yet as I would mention it to be on the safe side.

Thurlow · 04/03/2016 11:10

There might be something you can get for it - I have sinus problems generally and use something called Nasonex, which is mometasone furoate (apparently, thanks Google...) and I was allowed to use it during my last pregnancy.

FuzzyOwl · 04/03/2016 12:41

Thanks for the tip. I will go to a pharmacy today and see what they say.

AlbusPercival · 04/03/2016 13:44

Hi Fuzzy, not planning on seeing a midwife for a while yet.

FuzzyOwl · 04/03/2016 13:48

I don't have any appointment until the end of the month for my midwife. This is even slower than the 2ww! It might be worth you asking a pharmacist if you are near one Albus. I hope it eases soon for you.

AlbusPercival · 04/03/2016 13:56

I havent made an appointment yet. I can't see the point until further on, its not like they can actually do anything.

Thanks for advice, but won't see a pharmacist as I wouldn't put anything on it anyway, just in case.

FuzzyOwl · 04/03/2016 14:00

I guess it depends how things work in your area. I have moved since my last pregnancy and already things are different, but last time you had to make an appointment quite a few weeks in advance because the midwives were fully booked up and it meant running the risk of not being able to have blood tests or being referred for the nuchal scan on time. I suppose because of my age, I wanted the tests done and so it was important to me to book the appointment. Even now that I have moved, there is an almost month long wait to see the midwife for booking in so I will be nine weeks at the time.

Thurlow · 04/03/2016 14:05

Albus, I know it feels early now, but it is worth asking about appointments now as sometimes they have a long wait?

AlbusPercival · 04/03/2016 14:17

I have no interest in blood tests or nuchal scans. I really can't see the point of them. If there is anything wrong, they can't actually do anything to help, its just anxiety.

Not to disrespect anyone who feels differently to me

FuzzyOwl · 04/03/2016 14:31

That's fair enough Albus and all of the tests and appointments are entirely optional anyway. I do know someone though whose unborn child's heart defeat was picked up during a scan and it meant the birth was rearranged for a specialist hospital so that surgery could be immediately carried out to save the child's life. Obviously it is really rare, but I do believe there is a point to the scans.

Chocolatteaddict1 · 04/03/2016 14:38

Hi albus my cousin had a rash like that through pregnancy and she made a right mess of her legs scratching them. I'd see if you can at least get some cream to sooth it

Thurlow · 04/03/2016 14:41

I can understand not wanting the scans as it won't make a difference - we weren't overly bothered with our first, as we knew that very little would lead us to do anything. This time around it feels different, as we already have DD to consider (I'm aware that might not be a popular opinion).

However I would urge you to call your GP and get on the system. I really do understand that given your history you are worried. But there's so much more to being on the system than the nuchal tests. Your booking in appointment, while long and boring, is quite important and there are also lots of things they test for along the way that they can help with. And it's just that as there are a lot of babies at the moment, most places are filling up already - like Fuzzy, I've got to wait until the end of the month for my first appointment.

I hope I don't sound like I'm coming across as hectoring or anything, and I do understand, but it does help to at least register quite early.

CakeAndChocolate · 04/03/2016 14:42

albus I had an itchy rash on my bump from about 15-18 weeks last time and calamine lotion really soothed it (and is safe to use). If you really don't want anything medicated then a cold wet flannel helps

AlbusPercival · 04/03/2016 14:44

Its ok chocolate, I am not scratching it, so don't need that. I am having oatmeal baths which are nice on it.

I'm only six weeks, so still have time to get on the system I think.

I think that is the crux of it, I don't want to be part of a system. I want to be cared for, but it doesn't really work like that does it.

RattieOfCatan · 04/03/2016 14:51

Thurlow Can you drown out the sound of your DP? I have an air conditioner unit on in our room which helps, but sometimes I have to just throw the ear plugs in!

I said on FB only ten minutes ago that the fatigue hasn't really bothered me and now I'm yawning Hmm Typical.

I haven't booked the midwife yet, I was going to wait until after I'd seen the doctor on the 15th. Bad idea? I can self refer but it means going there in person so I was just going to do it straight after the docs appointment (the midwife is in the same building).
