scase so sorry to hear that (big hugs) Thanks

Great scan photo woodsy

bluebell I have an anterior as well and been feeling loads of movement (18+1) guess I had crappy stomach muscles to begin with. Can also sympathise with the spotty chest.

Feeling very sick today terrible nausea and napped for 4 hours despite sleeping 12 hours last night. I think the second trimester "glow" has well and truly disappeared

pulpi · 10/02/2016 20:48

Well scase, you might want to consider taking the day off, depending on how you're feeling. It can hit you in waves, sometimes at the worst moments. On the other hand, some folks prefer to keep very busy. Take it day by day.

Ellizardo · 10/02/2016 21:30

Congrats Woodsy, she's a beaut, and so pleased all is well.

Scase what a horrible shock. Hope your friends and family can support.

AnnaT45 · 10/02/2016 21:33

Oh Scase you poor thing. That's awful. I agree with Pulpi maybe take the day off, but then again you may like the distraction. I'm so sorry it's just so hard to make sense of news like that.

Hello Scandi and to all the spot club members! Mine are worse than when I was a teenager. Trying to watch my dairy intake as that makes it worse but has a hefty serving of sour cream on my chilli tonight!

Congrats on the scan Woodsy! I feel so far behind everyone!

Hope you all get a decent rest tonight. I actually got some sleep last night which is rare for DD so hoping she does it again!

Ill see how I go, if I need to go home then Ill ask to leave.

In happier news.. Just felt baby do a big movement and felt my tummy being pushed to one side and sure enough one side of my tummy was higher than the other! Not much of a difference for camera to pick up unfortunately but you could tell in real life! Was very exciting and OH got very excited as well Smile to check I was right we got the doppler and sure enough he was there Grin literally feeling like the luckiest first time mum ever GrinGrinGrin

minieggaddict · 10/02/2016 21:55

So sorry Scase, such awful news.

OMG I realised I'm half way there this week! And getting paranoid about the scan..only 2 sleeps!

Feeling lots of movement here now. MW said as I had anterior placenta last time that it's unlikely to be anterior again - she's right as I can sometimes feel a little body pushing out my chub. Getting a bit awkward to bend forward now too - time to get dh to do the pedicures then he he!

Pinseyboo38 · 10/02/2016 22:02

So jealous of all these baby movements, I'm 19+3 today and haven't felt anything Sad

GoingLoopyQuickly · 10/02/2016 22:09

Ooh minieggadict. I do hope your midwife is right. I also had an anterior last time. I would love not to this time.

Has anyone else experienced really wind like pain around their bump? I have been suffering for a couple of weeks along with back ache and headaches. Doc sent a sample to the lab as I dipped positive for blood and protein but tests came back clear. I am getting the beginning of spd (the return) and a couple of mw friends say the pain could just be ligament stretching but it nearly doubled me up today and made me feel quite sick. Plus my tummy isn't responding too well. I wonder if it could be IBS. I am not panicking yet as noone else seems to be, but ouch it bĺoomin hurts.

GoingLoopyQuickly · 10/02/2016 22:09

Btw I am 16weeks on Thursday. But pg2

ScandinavianMom · 11/02/2016 08:22

Good morning Ladies,
How does all your kicking feel like? Mine does not feel like cute butterflies or sweet bubbles - my "kicks" remind me more of a mild ovulation...

Bluebell20 · 11/02/2016 08:24

mini I am finding bending down way more uncomfortable too, and have decided to book myself in for a leg wax for the first time ever - I usually DIY. I am pretty relaxed and vaguely feminist about body hair to a point, but it is getting to the point where the other people in the swimming pool are wondering why Chewbacca is taking a dip with them...

Going I have had major bloat a couple of times which has been very uncomfortable, but not actually painful... Worst was being trapped in a corner during a long meeting in a hot room this week, where I couldn't stop - ahem - passing wind, but had NO IDEA if it smelled because my nose was completely bunged up. I kind of assumed that there was so much of it that it couldn't possibly smell very much - it was like my body was replenishing it as fast as it was expelling it...

Gosh, I'm coming across as such a lady this morning, aren't I?!

Anyways, scan this afternoon at 2pm. Looking forward to seeing the little fella!

20 + 2

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 11/02/2016 08:33

scandi mine started off as flutters as if there are tiny winged creatures flying about inside your body. More recently it has been like gentle tapping from the inside or just a gentle poke here and there. Feels weird - unlike anything I've ever felt before which is why I knew it wasn't wind or anything else.

bluebell good luck with your scan this afternoon

minieggaddict · 11/02/2016 08:39

Bluebell - ha ha I like your view of hair and feminism. I'd say mine was more laziness. Can still shave my legs but the lady garden is a bit out of control. Gave it a tidy for the scan tomorrow just to make sure it doesn't pop out the top of my leggings Grin but really can't be arsed at the mo!
Good luck for your scan.

minieggaddict · 11/02/2016 08:43

Hi Scandi, movements here started as flutters but quickly moved onto feeling like a fish is flipping around inside! This is my second so the muscles are definitely less toned than last time.

Cheery1 · 11/02/2016 09:36

Hello ladies, busy couple of days so not been here - gosh we are so chatty, how lovely! Apologies if I miss anyone - I've missed quite a bit.

Hi Scandi - welcome! I've not had much movement, I think I've had flutters but like some of the other ladies my placenta is anterior and it's my first pregnancy to get this far so I'm less likely to feel anything until later. Hence feels like an age til my scan on 23rd!

Scase I'm so sorry about your friend. Sending you hugs and hoping you've got lots of support around you.Flowers

Hey pulpi - great to hear you're ok!

Woodsy - what a gorgeous scan picture!! Wow - you must be over the moon, so happy for you Smile

Valerie and Indians - I'm due 9th July too. Date buddies!!!

Good luck today Bluebell - can't wait to see some pictures later!

Indians - I think our baby is a-rollin' on my bladder all the time! The seeing is ridiculous! I swear last Friday it was just lying on it all day - I needed to pee all day!!

Bluebell20 · 11/02/2016 10:40

Scandi my movements feel like really strong pulses or muscle twitches. DH has been able to feel them since the second day, so I think I missed all the light fluttery ones at the start. My stomach muscles were reaaaasonably firm to begin with (although don't get me wrong, I was no Paula Radcliffe), but I am on the small side so maybe it's just that the poor little thing is a bit squashed in there so is poking me lots?!

mini hadn't even thought act the lady garden situation. Crap! I shall be sorting that out before I go to the scan...!

Jem01 · 11/02/2016 12:05

Scandi My kicks feel like muscle twitches too! People must think I'm odd because I keep smiling to myself everyone I feel a little kick/nudge!

scase I'm sorry to hear your sad news hope you are ok x

cheery Valerie and Indians I'm due one day before you on the 8th although interesting to know how likely I'll actually have baby on that day!

I was thinking about booking in a wax this weekend ahead of my scan next week. So hard bending/lifting legs up these days. The struggle is real!

Love seeing all the scan pics and good luck today bluebell!

photographerlady · 11/02/2016 15:13

Movement for me feels like a tiny pulling inside my tummy. I feel it so much earlier than my first pregnancy. Last time I think it was 23 weeks before I really felt movement.

Scase1firsttimemum sorry to hear about your friend.

AnnaT45 My face is like a 14 year olds. Where is this glow I am meant to have.

ScandinavianMom Welcome!

Woodsy81 Glad the scan went so well.

Cookiesandcoffee · 11/02/2016 15:22

scase really sorry to hear your news Thanks
mini my garden was very unkept and at my 16 week midwife app it definitely escaped when looking for the heart beat Blush hadn't crossed my mind!
well nearing 20 weeks with #3 and I still don't get proper movements Sad going to get my placenta checked out on Monday at scan. Maybe I'm just rushing around too much to notice Hmm
Welcome scandi
Hope your scan goes well bluebell ! How exciting!! Although sad to think once these scans are over its a long 20ish week wait for us all...
I saw a woman I know who is the same pregnant by about a week as me and she literally had 0 bump. And it's also her third. And she looks a twig. Feeling even more of a heffalump now! I self medicated with a sausage bap with lots of butter and ketchup... Blush

Thom80 · 11/02/2016 17:16

Hi - saw my MW today for the 16 wk appt. it was lovely to hear the heartbeat.
I now have a full cardiac scan at 22 wks & 28, 32 and 36 week scans. They are worried about abnormalities of the babies heart. Before she (convinced it is a girl) comes out, I will know everything about her heart! I am trying not to worry about it. It sounded like it was beating strong.

mascaraisamust · 11/02/2016 17:47

Having my hair dyed tomorrow, this is ok right? Feeling guilty, currently got a bit of peroxide for a patch test on my skin to check I don't react to the dye but I can't help thinking what the impact might be on bump Confused

mascaraisamust · 11/02/2016 17:48

Haven't had my hair dyed for ages as I didn't want to risk it Hmm

Scase1firsttimemum · 11/02/2016 17:57

Mascara as long as its done professionally it is okay Smile

Thank you all for you're kind words, work started off hard but then became a massive distraction thanks to the great people I work with. Still cant quite believe it but its becoming more real now.

beckslovestimmy · 11/02/2016 17:58

Mascara it should be fine to get your hair dyed I did for my last pregnancy and have this time as well. Just double check with your hairdresser xx
