Indians- I'm due on 8th July and 22 weeks this Friday.

Congrats on all those scans today! I've had lots of baby movements today- proper kicks and flips Smile. Although very distracting in meetings Blush. I made abit of a fool of myself today as well.... I'm obsessed with pudding, realised today that a member of my staff was trying to have a serious conversation with me and I interrupted her twice to ask what she is eating ( it look like meringue with cream on a rivitta) Blush

Anyone else's calf muscles sore/ tight? Woke a few nights this week with painful calf muscle cramps.

All seems rather trivial compared to Pinesy news, bless her and her family.

birdandbee · 02/03/2016 21:07

I've found next maternity trousers rather great...

I have the Ovia app but mine is set in vegetable mode so my baby is compared to vegetables abs is currently the size of a Bok Choy

I want to get a few maxi dresses. I will take a look at Next. I thought it would be good for the summer months.

julfin · 02/03/2016 22:15

Ha ha Scase so you gave up on the toys/games setting and switched to obscure animals? I had animals for a while but I got annoyed with it because I kept having to google the animals to find out how big they were! Am back on the good old-fashioned vegetables now!

So we had our scan today. All healthy. I've had a busy few days so didn't get chance to get a muff-wax beforehand, and DH was teasing me this morning that the sonographer might not be able to tell whether it's a boy or a girl as it might look more like a teddy-bear... Anyway, the sonographer told us it's "definitely" a boy. She said "definitely" in a very emphatic way, as if the willy was particularly phenomenal in size! DH is now joking that the baby can't be his. We had the full day off work so had a nice time shopping and bought our first baby item: a blue babygrow with toy soldiers on it. I'll get the rest in multipacks but it's nice to have a "going home" outfit. We'll probably buy everything else (pram etc) as close to July as possible, because being central Londoners we can't fit much in our one-bedroom flat!

Hope you all had a good day.

Scase1firsttimemum · 02/03/2016 22:21

Well this weeks games one is a Baseball hat, I found the Weasel more interesting haha.. I studied animals at college so Im quite good at animals and loving what he's being compared to :L

julfin · 02/03/2016 22:22

Here's a picture of the baby waving hello to you all. (Thought I'd share this picture rather than the close-up of his willy which the sonographer gave us gleefully)

Walking to work this morning and I had very sharp pains on my pubic bone, sat down Im fine just seems to be when Im on the move.. Know what this could be?Confused

Cheery1 · 03/03/2016 07:21

youandme so sorry about your Dad. I think you can start to heal after the funeral, before you're in a kind of limbo but it's still so tough. Time is all that helps really. Thinking of you Flowers
eliz - I don't think I got the graph with measurements but like gnat says I'll wait to talk through with midwife at next apt. Our sonographer was nice enough but in a bit of a rush so didn't really get the chance to ask anything. Tbh I was so relieved all was ok, everything I'd thought of fell out of my brain!

Congratulations Sunny and becky glad all ok at scans!

indians - we're due date buddies. 22 weeks on Saturday! Your bump is very neat! Mine's grown in last week - I look very pregnant now, better than the chubby phase that seemed to go on forever.

scase and julfin - love those pregnancy aps for sizing! My favourite was a while back - "your baby is the size of an orange, now peel the orange and eat a couple of segments to get some vitamin C".....Whaaat?! Still on same ap - like you julfin I find fruit easier to gague than animals!
Thom - I've found Asos pretty good on size. I'm usually a 10 and a 10 has fitted me in their maternity range. I went up a size in Topshop jeans as I reckon TS is a bit stingy on the bum and I really didn't want tight jeans! Like Indians - I've bought some great bargains on EBay. All in good condition and not too expensive.

Gx91 that's a great scan picture - looks like your baby is starting yoga early! I'm always amazed how much the babies have grown since the 12 week scan.

Cheery1 · 03/03/2016 07:26

bird - calf muscle tightness is really common. Worth stretching before bed. Also bananas and beetroot both help with cramps - it's the potassium apparently.

Scase- do this test: sit down and put a clenched Fist between your thighs, just above your knees. If that's painful it might be the start of SPD.

If the pain was directly up your muff, felt almost cervical. Your baby was probably doing a headstand on your cervix. I had this pain at my scan and asked if she was head down by any chance when I got there. Sonographer looked at me like how on earth did you know.... I just fathom that the biggest and heaviest part of the baby would need to be pressing down to give me the discomfort I was feeling.

If it doesn't go away if send your midwife a quick message, but hope this helps you abit Smile

birdandbee · 03/03/2016 07:30

Cheery- thank you for the advise. I'll pack a banana for lunch Smile

Congrats everyone on their beautiful scan pics!

birdandbee · 03/03/2016 07:33

Scase- sorry forgot to say in my suggested test you are meant to squeeze the clenched fist with your legs to see if it causes the pain!!

Gx91 · 03/03/2016 07:47

Thanks ladies I agree what a change since last scan , nice to get a bit longer in there ! Think we would all happily sit there for hours watching what's going on ! X
I get the pain sometimes too and when I sneeze , remember it from last pregnancy but not sure what caused it, this thread is great for information as well as support X
Love seeing all ur bumpies , your all gorgeous ! ! Over the half mile mark now so it's bigger bigger bigger from now on x

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 03/03/2016 08:04

Congratulations on the scans ladies, lovely photos!

Cheery1 · 03/03/2016 08:07

Meant to say, anyone that remembers cake gate (DH taking whole cake to work leaving very angry pregnant wife with none) - totally redeemed. He's been so brilliant over last week, I've had a rib strain, caused by shifting of diaphragm apparently, which is really painful - nothing in comparison to the awful times of other ladies of late I know. Just that DH has been a gem and even treated me to a little bundle of gorgeous things from Asos - money is really tight so I haven't bought anything new. That's all. Just feeling very grateful today.

Have a good day lovely ladies x

Cheery - I am pleased that you are being treated, you deserve it. Rib strain sounds very painful, hope you are on the mend.
