I absolutely loved it, it was amazing getting to see my little man properly! I have attached a photo we got from the 4D, you get to see them in real time so moving around instead of just pictures if it were 3D. Im going again to see progress in growth and how much he has changed and I cant wait :) such a wonderful experience! I would recommend to anyone

Thom80 · 02/03/2016 12:17

I will definitely look into it. It is a great picture and sounds like an amazing experience.

SunnyScot89 · 02/03/2016 12:50

Woo hoo!! I'm team blue!!! The wee bugger was facing my back so the photos are rubbish, but all is well.

Scase1firsttimemum · 02/03/2016 12:57

It is amazing, getting to see them like that is incredible I thinkSmile

Welcome to Team Blue Sunny Scott!! Your boy sounds like my trouble maker, not wanting to let the tech take measurements or see anything!!

Jem01 · 02/03/2016 13:14

Great photos scase! And glad to hear your scan went well Sunny There's quite a lot of us on team blue now ;-)

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 02/03/2016 13:35

Sunny yay welcome to team blue. I'm losing track of who's team blue, pink or yellow. I may try doing a spreadsheet to attach to the group. Maybe for the fb group too as I've absolutely no idea who is who on there.

Baby is moving loads. He literally does not stop. Such a contrast to my pregnancy with ds3 as he hardly moved at all. He was such a lazy bum even on scans I had to jump around to get him active.

21+5

pinsey thanks for the update and again you sound an incredibly strong lady. Lovely idea to bury her with your Grandma. Do not apologise at all, as others have said.
scase lovely bump!
Congrats and welcome to team blue sunny my little so-and-so did the exact same at mine! Maybe it's a boy thing Smile so awkward!
Those having scans- my sonographer wouldn't tell me anything about size really. She took measurements for head, femur etc but they didn't measure length or anything? Just to manage expectations. Ask about placenta but I found it in my notes anyway.
indians you are so small and neat! Making me feel humungous!! Wink

Ellizardo · 02/03/2016 14:14

Indians - you look like I do when I'm not pregnant (sigh).

As for apps, the Mumsnet one isn't bad and I take the NHS one too as well as Babycenter. There are a lot of trendy, colloquial ones with nice graphics or more formal ones...I just looked on my iphone app store and had a quick explore. Be warned a lot are for US market so there is the occasional miscommunication, calling you 'mom' etc. which doesn't feel very personal.

Sunnyscot - congrats on team blue! Boys are ace (though I am so pleased to be having a girl this time). I think people have been adding the sex to our July 2016 stats list, in CAPS, at the end of your line.

As for scan sizing of baby - on the report print out at the end of the anomaly scan there were four/five graphs with baby's measurements plotted on the various centiles so you can see if your baby has a big head/belly/femur length/whatever compared to national average. Did everyone get one of those to put in their notes?

becky140290 · 02/03/2016 14:28

Hiya :) I'm Becky, I wrote on here ages and ages ago but was rubbish at keeping up with everything. In now downloaded the mumsnet app so hoping I can keep up with you all now! I'm 22+6, due June 30th but bound to go over! Have a 15 month old boy called Josef and now team pink!

gnat99 · 02/03/2016 15:17

Pinsey that burial plan with your nan sounds really special, what a lovely idea. That will help you somewhat to vent your grief. It sounds like you were very unlucky; there was no way of picking up on those cervix issues if you had no pain or warning. I’m so terribly sorry again that this happened to you. Keep on keeping on, and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks again for keeping in touch. xx

gnat99 · 02/03/2016 15:29

Congrats Sunny, glad all OK and you know what team you're on!

As Ellizardo says, there is some growth/size info on the report you get given after the scan, although to be honest I had trouble deciphering the charts - wasn't sure which curve was ours and which was the average! Will ask the midwife to explain at my 24 week appointment in two weeks.

Scase and Indians, thanks for the lovely photos. That reminds me I need to take my 22 week one today Smile Will try and post, although I always forget to take one on my phone so then I never have the file handy! DH has a separate bump memory card that he is using each week so we'll have them all together and can compare. It's already quite interesting to look at the progress. Indians, I agree with the others, that's a neat bump indeed! I'm just about starting to look pregnant rather than fat.

Welcome back Becky, nice to hear your news. You're 6 days ahead of me, so fairly close. I really should download the app too.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 02/03/2016 15:44

Hello all - I've not been posting but have been following along a bit. My dad's funeral was yesterday, horrible, but I'm glad to have got through it now. I'm going back to work on Friday and to be honest it will be a relief to start getting back to normal.

Pinsey I was very sorry to hear about the loss of baby Grace. You will be in my thoughts x

Re: the pregnancy everything seems to be OK. Getting a lot of movement now, but it still doesn't seem to be discernable from the outside. I've got a lot of pain in my pubic bone though, which is pretty unpleasant. It feels a bit like someone has kicked me in the crotch!

Everything went fine with my 20 week scan - we didn't find out the sex. I've got a Glucose Tolerance Test booked for 28 weeks, and I'm really really hoping it will come back clear as I feel like Gestational Diabetes is the last thing I want to be dealing with on top of everything else! Also have a placenta scan booked for 36 weeks as the placenta was just touching the cervix at 20 weeks. I'm not too concerned about that though, as I saw it completely covering the cervix at 17 weeks, so it's already moving on its merry way.

23+2

gnat99 · 02/03/2016 17:16

YouandMe, glad you got through funeral OK, you've been through a lot in recent weeks. Flowers Enjoy going back to work but make sure to take it easy and don't put too much pressure on yourself.

Great that scan went well and you can concentrate a bit more on baby now. Fingers crossed no GD and placenta continues to move up.

Indians, I make that 21 + 4 I think? I'm due on the 5th July, and I'm 22 + 1 today. I use an app that tells me, cos I can't work it out Smile

I use one called iPregnant which gives you a fairly simple (and americanised) weekly progress statement, but has a good calendar that will tell you how many weeks you're pregnant. I tend to record my appointments in its calendar too.

Thom80 · 02/03/2016 19:59

Culture - just down loaded the app. It looks good. It will help me keep track.

Scase1firsttimemum · 02/03/2016 20:01

I use Ovia which tells you how many weeks and days you are and also you can pick fun themes that tell you how big baby is now compared to which ever theme you choose :) Im using the "Weird but cute animals" theme and this week its a Least Weasel (21+1) Smile

Thom80 · 02/03/2016 20:01

Does anyone know if New Look maternity clothes come up small. I am usuall a size 10 but don't want anything tight in pregnancy. What size are people opting for? I was thinking of going one size bigger.

Scase1firsttimemum · 02/03/2016 20:03

Thom- I tried on some things in new look, I guess jt just depended on material because I was a size 12/14 and brought that in maternity wear (jeans) and they fit but others I couldnt get past my ever growing buttBlush

I think I need to invest in some maternity leggings!

Thom80 · 02/03/2016 20:07

I might order in a size 12 to be sure. I got some leggings in Jojo mama bebe, which are good. They are bit pricey but was desperate!
