Pinsey, you and Grace have been in my thoughts today.

Hope everyone has had a nice day. I've certainly been reflecting on how lucky I feel despite the aches and pains X

HopesAndDreams15 · 01/03/2016 18:32

Pinsey thank you for posting. You and your family have been in my thoughts and I'll be lighting a candle for Grace tonight. I hope you're getting lots of love and support xx

Candle alight here for you pinsey
And you thom . Amongst all the sadness I forgot to say my new skincare was from a range in Boots called Nip+Fab skin, I bought the exfoliating pads and a glycolic scrub. Who knows if that's what worked but it's brighter and 75% less spots over the past few weeks. I also use a good toner, as well as cleanser and light moisturiser. I've been so on top of my facial game since my skin being this bad.
Also they did have 3 for 2 and you can mix and match, eg I also got another item from No7. I hope your scan improves. When mine was really bad I did treat myself to a new (thicker coverage) foundation and concealer and that did help with my confidence a bit. I was worried it might clog my pores but it hasn't, I'm just making sure my face is super clean and washing my make up brushes really frequently!

Thom80 · 01/03/2016 22:34

Cookies&coffee - thank you, I will go online & order from boots. I will try anything. It doesn't seem to be getting better. I have been wearing makeup at work but trying not to at home. I will let you know how I get on.
I had my first congratulations from a stranger today.

Pinseyboo38 · 01/03/2016 22:54

Pinsey, the reason we are all here is to share and support. Never apologise for your grief. I am wishing you many happy times ahead, too. Xxx

Cheery1 · 02/03/2016 06:33

pinsey - as all the other ladies have said there's no need to apologise. We're all heartbroken for you and amazed by your strength and courage. Really hope for happier times ahead for you. We lit a candle for you and Grace last night and send you so much love. Look after yourself brave lady xx

pinsey that photo is absolutely beautiful. Grace is a gorgeous name Smile

I hope you are coping ok and please do come back and update us on how you are coping if you feel up to it in the future. Deepest and best wishes to you and your family Flowersxxxx

KayTee87 · 02/03/2016 07:26

Pinsey you don't need to apologise. You have reminded me how precious and fragile life is and that we shouldn't take any moment for granted. I will be remembering you and your baby girl in my prayers .

SunnyScot89 · 02/03/2016 08:05

Pinsey so sorry to hear your news but thank you for sharing the beautiful photo. Thinking about you and wishing you all the best for the future.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. I've been really busy recently and my scan day has crept up on me. Appointment not till lunch time so I have plenty time to get nervous. Is there anything I should ask at the scan (apart from if its a boy or girl).

Have a lovely Wednesday. xx

Cheery1 · 02/03/2016 08:54

Good luck today Sunny - I'd ask about size, we forgot and then my cousin saw the picture and said the baby was enormous. She is prone to exaggerate but wish I'd asked the sonographer!

gnat99 · 02/03/2016 08:58

Sunnyscot, good luck for your scan today! I just asked where placenta was - midwife thought at front and she was right, but it was high so no worries for delivery. I found that reassuring to know, and it explained why I hadn't felt much movement -still haven't.

I'm finding it hard to post this week - my mundane concerns seem so irrelevant compared to Pinsey's terrible loss. Life is so fragile.

Thom80 · 02/03/2016 08:59

Sunny - if you don't know already I would ask about your placenta. I had a scan at 18 weeks on Saturday and they said that my placenta is low and blocking the cervix at the moment so couldn't give birth naturally unless it moves up. It is relatively common but means you need a scan at 32 weeks.

Thom80 · 02/03/2016 08:59

Sorry, also meant to say good luck with the scan!

gnat99 · 02/03/2016 09:05

Pinsey thank you for coming back to check in with us, please don't feel bad, we wanted to hear how you are getting on. I'm still thinking of you and baby Grace and your family every day. Hope you are coping ok and getting lots of support.

Has anyone been able to explain to you why exactly things happened the way they did? Were you able to have a little ceremony to say goodbye to Grace? Please ignore my questions if you find them intrusive or painful to answer.

Big hugs xx

Pinseyboo38 · 02/03/2016 09:40

Thanks again everyone X
Gnat we are in the process of sorting out a burial for her. We are going to have her buried with my nan who passed away 18 months ago. I find it comforting to know she won't be alone and in the arms of my nan.
I will get a follow up in 6 weeks and hopefully some answers but they think my cervix is incomplete and I also had a plancental bleed. The doctors were amazed themselves as I had been in no pain at all and I walked in despite being 3 cms dilated, which no one knew till I wa examined. They hoped with bed rest and a rescue stitch I would make it but they had to leave it and put my bed on tilt hoping the membranes which were bulging would pop back up. Unfortunately I had a massive bleed on the Saturday night and little Grace just couldn't survive that.
If I do get any answers I will let you ladies know xxxx

Thom80 · 02/03/2016 09:56

Pinsey - I hope you get the answers and support you need. It sounds horrific what you have been through and you seem to have such strength dealing with it all. I hope the NHS is looking after you well.

Scase1firsttimemum · 02/03/2016 10:17

Pinsey- you have been so brave and such an inspiration with how brave you have been. I cant begin to imagine how terrible it is to lose a baby, and its made me realise not to take the little things for granted. I sincerely wish you the best for the future and hope you get the answers you deserve for your little girl. Im glad you have found comfort in knowing Grace will be in you Grandmas armsThanks

Good luck with the scan today! I wish I had asked about size and approx weight of little man, Im planning on another 4D so may ask them then Smile

Felt quite a bit of pressure on my stomache laid down and a huge bulge was bulging out!! Little man wanted to say hello! Finally managed to get some pictures of it Grin

Thom80 · 02/03/2016 10:59

Scase - that is so exciting. How far a long are you now? I am still waiting to feel anything. I might have felt a few flutters but sure. My husband is desperate to feel it move. As I can't, I assume it is going to be a while before he does!
I am having a very dull day at work today. I can't seem to get motivated!!

Scase1firsttimemum · 02/03/2016 11:13

Im 21+1! Ive been very lucky to feel movements at around 17/18 weeks even though this is my very first pregnancy! I have felt baby on the outside once for sure and other times I dont know if its because I can feel him on the inside that I think I feel him a little on the outside I dunnoConfused but DP is the same! He cant wait to feel the little man, but I can imagine it being a few more weeks yet

Thom80 · 02/03/2016 11:22

I am 19 weeks tomorrow so hoping that I am going to feel it soon. I think it will be more real then. What was your 4D scan like? I thought I might get one. I have only had the normal scans so far.
