scase how amazing, I can't wait for my husband to be able to feel :)

KayTee87 · 23/02/2016 09:47

cookies I'm rh negative. Getting anti d at 28 weeks. Also having a GTT that day as my dad is diabetic. I sill literally have to spend the whole day in hospital. How boring!

gnat99 · 23/02/2016 09:54

Scase that is very exciting news for you. Hooray! Think it will be weeks off for me, but look forward to it Smile

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 23/02/2016 09:57

Gnat thank you. This dress is from last time so it's a tad tight as I was only a 8/10 before getting pregnant last time. I hope I feel better tomorrow. I'm sure I will. I'm really nervous about finding out the sex as I'm worried I'll feel a little disappointed and if I do I'll then feel guilty.

I'm not in work today. She told me last week not to worry as its not busy today. So I'm making a start on the packing and I'll probably get the baby clothes out of the loft to see what I have to work with. I'm not sure what I kept and what I sold. Pretty sure I kept most of the newborn clothes up to 6 months plus.

foobio · 23/02/2016 11:16

Lovely to hear everyone's news, have had a long catch up on a sunlounger on 'babymoon' in Lanzarote!

bluebell I've had heart palpitations on and off since 11 weeks. GP was not concerned, apparently quite common with the extra blood volume and heart working harder, but had my thyroid checked and an ECG to rule out anything more sinister. It died down for a few weeks, but is back again now. Feels like my heart skips a beat, then does a massive one to catch up. Very disconcerting, but I am getting used to it now.

Glad to hear scans are going well, and hope those going for further tests get answers soon. I found the 20 week a bit of an anticlimax, I think because I was so excited about it and it was over so quickly. And the photos came out really rubbish, one blurry and one very strange angle that looks like an alien! Best bit was seeing the baby yawn when checking for cleft palate, so cute, and seems to have my husband's big lips! He didn't want to find out the gender, so we are officially having a surprise (decided to let him have that decision, although now I am looking at newborn clothes, I am silently cursing the lack of options!)

I have an anterior high placenta (was told at 20wks) but have felt bubbly feelings low down for a few weeks, now becoming more distinct, and have felt a couple on the outside, but only one or two a day, so no chance of my husband feeling them yet. He's so looking forward to it, but has no patience to keep his hand still on my tummy, so it may be a while!

Hope everyone's well, look after yourselves :)

Hi ladies - Been really rubbish keeping up with things here. So found out we are having another girl! Sent the DH up to the loft to get all the baby things out. My DD is a July baby as well so at least everything will be seasonal. Things never touched last time: All the newborn outfits as you are too tired and they live in sleepers for the short time they are in newborn size. I am just going to have to resell anything with buttons in the back... sometimes you get the weirdest gifts that just don't work with small babies.

Scan was ok although ended up being 45 minutes I am a bit sore today as well. Again they moaned at me for having a high BMI. Lost four stone since my last pregnancy but will always be tummy in a sonogramers eyes :)

Ellizardo · 23/02/2016 12:11

Cookies - I'm rh negative too, woo hoo!

Also, can't remember who else had an ovarian cyst but mine has now reduced from 8cm diameter to 2cm so they're happy it'll just disappear soon-ish. Anyone had the same?

Scase - nice one about feeling on the outside, have been getting that too. One kick made me exclaim 'ooo!' out loud on the train the other day. I think I styled it out pretty well. Good luck with your scan today.

Cheery - I say Go Wimmin in the Arts!

Foobio - love the yawning baby with the big lips - sounds gorgeous, boy or girl!

Phew. I'm going to have lunch now.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 23/02/2016 12:37

So I thought I would find the box of baby clothes out of the loft to see what I'm working with. Lots of vests and little outfits but not many babygros. I think it's because they were either sicked or pooped on so thrown away. I thought I would get ready in prep for scan tomorrow.

Look how tiny these clothes are. It's amazing how quickly you forget.

I can't believe they whinged at you about your BMI photographer! That's really not on. My BMI is way too high, and the sonographer said nothing other than she might have to press quite hard which she apologised for. Then not a mention of it after that. Were you on your own? I wonder if they're a bit less careful what they say if you're on your own.

Cheery1 · 23/02/2016 13:32

Hello all, delighted to say all went brilliantly at the scan. Sonographer said we have a lovely baby - I obviously already know that Wink We also found out we're having a boy - contrary to all the grandmas being convinced ithat was a girl. We're chuffed he's healthy - air punching away during the scan. Photos bit blurry but will upload anyway. Was quite quick but all was well so we're happy!

scase and mascara - think yours are today too?! Hope they've gone great x

Kaytee - I'd pop to your GP and do a urine sample to put your mind at rest - they should be able to tell you pretty fast whether they think it's UTI or not.

Beautician - cute bump pic and lovely dress too! Super cute baby clothes as well - you're all the cute today!

P.S. Elizardo - Go Arty Wimmin!!!!

Aw all these scan pics are making me even more impatient for mine :)

I want to buy a cropped denim jacket for over the summer but I've not seen any maternity ones (not sure I would even need maternity as wouldn't be fastening over my bump anyway) do you ladies think I should just buy one a size up - boobs are gradually getting bigger so couldn't get away with normal size for long.

gnat99 · 23/02/2016 16:02

Cheery - great news your scan went! Congrats on having a little boy. Now you can do more targeted shopping Wink

Beautician - that little vest is so cute. I love stripes, was looking at some gorgeous stripey romper suits online today. Clothes sorting must be a nice distraction for you while you wait for tomorrow to arrive Smile

Foobio - I am very jealous of your sun lounging. Enjoy!

Cheery and Ellizardo - I love Kate Atkinson! Can't wait to read God in Ruins. And that 40's show sounds great. If only we could spend the next four months on the sofa reading good books and watching films and tv! I do plan on catching as much of Wimbledon as I can though.

Kaytee, I quite fancy a cropped denim jacket too - let us know how you get on with your search. Not sure where my last one vanished to, but I definitely don't have it now...

I'm trying to post today so I don't get so behind this time!

Scan went great! Unco-operative baby yet again! Thats 3/3 now! I had to have a 20 minute break and even jump up and down to wake him up! Yeah hes still a boy Smile I shall post photos later although theyre not as good as Id have liked them to be Sadhowever sonographer was lovely and everything seems perfect, no concerns SmileGrin

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 23/02/2016 18:07

Great news about the scans ladies! Pleased all went well

Ellizardo · 23/02/2016 18:23

Kaytee - I think maternity sizes are same as your regular ones but I agree with you that you should just get regular clothes by the summer anyway as long as you're not trying anything too tight?
Cookies - sausages tonight so I feel your healthy diet pain

Scase - really pleased scan went well

Photographerlady - missed your earlier post. Congrats on the scan and a little girl! Was that as you predicted? I've been through ted's stuff too to see what could feasibly be unisex and reused..
Agree with you about crazy gifts: White cashmere anyone?! Asking to be pooed on!

KayTee87 · 23/02/2016 20:09

Got in from work 10 minutes ago Sad usually in about 5.30. Dinner was on the table, bathroom cleaned and house hoovered. Have I mentioned that I love my husband Flowers

primarynoodle · 23/02/2016 20:18

beautician i have major bump envy its so lovely and neat!!!

Ive just got in from the mothercare expectant parent event. Mostly it was a hard sell of the mothercare and most expensive ranges but had a greay chat with a very knowledgeable car seat safety who was fantastic... as much as i love the cheapness of a travel system with car seat (especially as im only gonna get mat allowance!) Its just not worth it for the difference in safety between major brand car seats. Cant afford cybex/britax so will have to be a maxi-cosi but its far safer than some of the well known pram brand carseats apparently (and fits on most TSs anyway)

Scase1firsttimemum · 23/02/2016 20:22

Couple photos from the scan today Smile

ScandinavianMom · 23/02/2016 20:25

Kaytee: He sounds wonderful!

Scase: The most important thing is that the scan went well and your little boy is healthy. I had a pregnancy 2 years ago where the scan showed a very sick little boy and I had to go through a late termination. Pictures don't mean anything but the health of your little baby boyWink

Photographer: Welcome to team pink!Thanks

KayTee: I would rather buy "normal" clothing for myself than maternity clothes. I would go one size up to fit your breasts ;)

Cheery: Congrats on the scan - he looks adorable!

Beautician: You look great!

Woah lots of chat today, hard to keep up! Congrats on the scans ladies, some lovely pics and glad to hear all is healthy.

I've just had my first yoga class, very relaxing. Loved the part (as we were pretty much sleeping) where we were told to let go of any anxieties we have in our pregnancy and to allow nature to do its jobs. So true! The only thing was I was starving and tried not to think of food but my tummy kept rumbling!!

Cheery my scan isn't until Monday, not long now though I guess Confused
