Mascara - love Cosatto prints! So cheerful. And yes, try and relax...as someone else posted recently, by about 25 weeks you'd wish they'd kick less, it's like a game of football in there!

Cheery1 · 15/02/2016 08:50

Ha Elizardo that makes me feel better too! mascara - I haven't felt much either, a few flutters maybe and maybe a kick when some very loud music came on in the pub we were eating our Valentine's burgers in (so romantic stuffing face with fries and getting burger sauce on my chin Blush, but was so hungry)! I'm 19+2, it's my first and I've got an anterior placenta so trying not to worry. You could call mw for bit of reassurance though if that helps.

Can't help much on the pram front either eliz - it's a whole new language!

Welcome mrssjp!

Happy Monday all x

Jem here's a plan... We could all vow to do our pelvic floor exercises every time we read this thread!

Welcome MrsSJP!

Cheery1 · 15/02/2016 09:32

Good plan bluebell - doing then now!

jem thanks for the reminder on pelvic floor exercises.

mascara I'm much the same with movements. will feel lots on one day then quiet as a mouse for the next couple of days. I read somewhere that this is quite common though. it's only after the 25 week mark that the movements become more consistent and fall into a pattern

This is quite possibly the best valentines card I've ever received. Its totally cheesy but I was in absolute bits after reading it - Hubby got major brownie points yesterday Smile

Yep excellent idea with the pelvic floors bluebell - doing them now. Whilst devouring a prawn sandwich and typing- multi tasking right there!
Attached a bump pic from this morning now I've reached 20 weeks. Scan this afternoon Grin very excited but still a bit nervous!
allthegood cheesy but so so cute. Your hubby did do good! So thoughtful ! DH was proud of himself for just getting me a basic card. (I threw a hormonal strop as he hadn't guessed I also wanted chocolates)
elliz mine haven't been quite close enough so can't help on the stroller. I'm being stingy and although dd2 still uses the pushchair a lot now I'm going to go down the buggy board route. At 16 months I would have HAD to get a double.. Good luck!
Welcome mrsSJP
vikki you have such a lovely bump!

20 weeks - yey

mascaraisamust · 15/02/2016 13:00

Ohh some lovely bumps! I'm not brave enough to post mine yet. Exciting times with lots of scans coming up, good luck today cookies!

18 weeks today Smile

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 15/02/2016 13:15

lovely neat bump cookies wish mine was like that - it's more of a chubby squidge at the moment. Good luck with the scan hope all goes well. Halfway to the end now!

AnnaT45 · 15/02/2016 14:04

Cookies you look fab!! Good luck with the scan! Hope all is well. Feeling loads better today! Starving in fact... Three crumpets for breakkie and a prawn sarnie for lunch. Already thinking about dinner!

Elizardo I'm not sure on buggy. Wish I could convert mine but I have the bugaboo Cameleon and can't! I think I may get a city jogger or mountain buggy one, keep the bugaboo and use a sling and get a buggy board perhaps?! You'll defo need something especially abroad so they can nap. Maclaren do good strollers. We have a single one we used to go abroad. Was fab.

Beautician I'm sorry about the tools, I'd be so upset /cross. Hope the insurers pay out for you.

Hello Mrs SJP! Hope the scan goes well!

mascaraisamust · 15/02/2016 14:08

Anna again, great minds. Also had three crumpets for breakfast! Then slipped up and bought a sausage roll for lunch, doh! Had a bag of apple to eliminate that. Hmm

CultureSucksDownWords · 15/02/2016 14:21

Urgh. Just picked DS up from nursery as he's been sick, and on the way to get him I've been throwing up too :-( Definitely not morning sickness, it seems more like a stomach bug. Am now worried about the baby, don't know whether it's a problem or not?

Ha ha Mascara! Two is not enough?!

Oh culture! I feel for you I had it at the weekend. You're fine but biggest thing was I dehydrated very quickly. Sip boiled water as cold water can be too much of a shock for tummy. Just try rest. Mine lasted was over in a day. Rest up. Thanks

CultureSucksDownWords · 15/02/2016 14:36

Thank you Anna. Fortunately DP is coming home from work early to help out with DS, so I should be able to get a bit of rest. Feel grim though!

mascaraisamust · 15/02/2016 14:39

I agree with Anna you just need to try keep drinking even if you don't feel like it. Oh dear, 48 hour rest for you guys x

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 15/02/2016 14:42

Fab bump pictures ladies. You are all lovely and slim.

Jem thank you. No he's tried to get help from work this morning but they are being quite funny. He's gone to the job he's working on and stressing out as he cant do what he needs to as he doesn't have the tools Sad

Eliz I had a 17 month gap between my first two. I had a mcclaren side by side pushchair but it was too wide for most shops. I then got a Phil & Teds. I absolutely loved it. If I had a close age gap this time I would definitely go for the Baby Jogger City Mini double. As it is I have a 3 year gap this time but I will be buying the seat and board for my bugaboo cam as I'm sure ds3 will get tired.

Anna thank you. It's just the last thing we needed right now with a baby on the way.

Eek I'm seriously on countdown. Only 8 days until my scan. I absolutely cannot wait. DH has taken the day off work too so we are going to go for lunch afterwards and possibly the cinema

19+3

Thom80 · 15/02/2016 17:39

Is anyone doing pregnancy yoga? I have never done yoga before but keen to give it ago to help with anxiety and back pain. The one nearest me suggested waiting until after 15 wks, especially if you have never done yoga before. I am past that mark (16 + 4, due at the end of July), but wouldn't want to risk anything so should I wait longer, closer to 20wks??? Are there any real risks at this stage? Grateful for any advice?

Ellizardo · 15/02/2016 18:22

Thom - I'm doing preg yoga and Pilates and both places around me suggest it from 2nd trimester so you're well in the safe zone. Go for it! It is incredibly gentle stretching and most places have a chat before starting so you can discuss any concerns. Good luck.

MrsSJP · 15/02/2016 18:32

Thanks for all the welcomes!

Cookiesandcoffee your bump is so neat and so lovely!!

My 20 week scan is on Thursday so I'll be 20 weeks to the day.. May also take a bump pic if I'm feeling brave enough!

I went maternity clothes shopping on Saturday and was highly disappointed! I'm in the in between stage of not quite big enough for proper maternity clothes but too big for my normal clothes.. Where is everyone else shopping?
I don't want to be spending lots on clothes that I'll only wear for a short period but seems I have to either go online as hardly any instore maternity sections or if I find maternity it seems to be boring and frumpy..?!

[hmmm]

MrsSJP · 15/02/2016 18:32

Hmm *

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 15/02/2016 18:35

MrsSJP I've gotten most of my maternity stuff from New Look and Asos so far. Was a bit worried about sizing and not bring able to try it on beforehand but it was all fine when it arrived and sooo much more comfortable than trying to squeeze myself into my old clothes

mascaraisamust · 15/02/2016 18:39

I went to new look today and couldn't fit in my normal size in maternity wear Confused

I can't get into pregnancy yoga round here, always fully booked!

Scase1firsttimemum · 15/02/2016 18:43

I got some jeans from new look and OH keeps surprising me with maternity jumpers and tops from Asos Smile all have been good and fit nicely

Thom80 · 15/02/2016 18:55

Elliz - I am going to go for it! There is a class later this week I can get to, so going to book it tonight. Looking forward to it.
