DH is meant to be taking me out for the day but I haven't even got out of bed yet Confused need to get a move on!

Woodsy81 · 13/02/2016 13:12

Ugh. Just cleaned the house for a visit from my parents. Still coughing a lot and breathless. Feeling exhausted and that's after a good nights sleep.Confused not sure if these anti-biotics are working.
Going out for a curry tonight so I won't have to cook thank goodness.
Beautician, that's awful about your husbands tools. Happened to a friend of mine a few years ago and I am sure he got it back on the companies business insurance. But I suppose it's the hassle and everything in-between times.

HopesAndDreams15 · 13/02/2016 14:35

Ah Beaut that totally sucks...thieving scumbags!! Angry

Julfin since I wet myself at 10 weeks whilst throwing up I've done my pelvic floors religiously every night and thankfully it's really paying off, no longer dribbling wee every time I sneeze! Blush

Woodsy hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

Having a domestics day here, cleaning, changing beds and shopping...losing the will!

photographerlady · 13/02/2016 17:54

Happy weekend ladies. Anyone else eating complete rubbish. I swear since new year I have eaten Britain out of penguin biscuits. Decided this week I needed to get back to eating like I did before pregnancy (or I like to call it the 9 month eating fest). So today sort of back on a low GI diet with healthy fats and no sugar. If anything its helping my upset belly which has seemed to not recover well from pancake day.

Anyone else trying to make a turn for the better? Could really use the motivation and kick up the bum.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/02/2016 18:04

Cookies Woodsy Hopes thank you. I'm really hoping he can get something on the companies business insurance.

Photographer I have been eating awful. It's just sweets, sweets, sweets. I've made an effort since Thursday. I've been taking a healthier lunch to work and snacking on fruit instead of sweets.

mascaraisamust · 13/02/2016 18:13

Photographer I tend to eat well when I'm at work as I'm limited to what I take and no one tends to bring unhealthy snacks. I've found listing my food for the week helps and only ordering that on my online shop, I've reduced the amount I'm wasting too.

If I want something sweet I've bought 'mini' treat bags so I just get a little hit of chocolate but not the huge calorie hit! I buy grab bags of fruit like apples and grapes which are usually 4 for £1 too. I'm not consciously trying to be good, I'll eat what I fancy but it's stopped me eating rubbish for the sake of it I suppose. Weekends let me down a bit though Confused as we tend to go out for Sunday lunch etc.

Lovely bump, Indians. I feel huuuuuge. Got into a maternity dress tonight - one I didn't think I would be in for at least another few weeks. Here is a pic of my bump taken last Sunday. I am a little bigger again this week.
It is nice to look properly pregnant though.

Bit tmi.. But anyone get bad tummy ache/cramps just before and during a no.2? Ive been getting it the past couple days and just wondered if its okay or if anyone else experiences this.. It can get quite painful but as soon as Im finished Im fine! I worry so I always check baby after and hes always fine..

GoingLoopyQuickly · 13/02/2016 23:06

Scase i don't get exactly that but O get wind like pains accross the bottom of my bump. I spoke the mw and she explained that it probably is wind. Our uterus is out of the pelvis and on its journey has just shunted our internal organs out of the way, including the bowel. That in itself does make you feel uncomfortable but it doesn't affect the baby.

mascaraisamust · 14/02/2016 08:43

Lovely bumps ladies!

I've bought another bra! Started with a 34dd three weeks ago, then bought a 34e as the d felt too tight and now that's too tight around the band so got a 36e! I've got all bases covered now I hope and I've bought nursing bras instead now as I can't afford to keep spending on these expensive pregnancy ones, at least I might get some longer use out of them!

minieggaddict · 14/02/2016 09:32

Eating total crap here too - just polished off pancakes for brekkie. Need some inspiration for healthy lunches and stuff. I have a bit of fruit but cant be bothered with it espec in this cold weather! Easier to nibble on the choc orange that's next to me 😋

pulpi · 14/02/2016 12:09

So the bump is a proper bump now, although I'm still worried it's mostly pasta and that there's no way that the bump should be this big.

Lovely bumps ladies! I might post mine tomorrow when I hit 20 weeks (I try and take a pic every week)
scase I'm forever getting pains like that and I'm convinced it's wind related. I am a windy preggo though Blush
photographer I feel your pain- pizza take away last night.. But I did compensate by going to the gym this morning?! Agree with mascara about organising food shops/planning. Doing meals like that has cut down on eating crappy meals (can't justify take away or pasta if I have chicken that needs eating in the fridge) and been saving treats for the weekend as I just can't do without a greasy take away...
mini now I want a Terry's chocolate orange..

Bluebell20 · 14/02/2016 14:17

Cookies yes, the Harmony result means it is very unlikely that the bowel is a sign of Downs, so that is one less thing to worry about. It also makes me very, very glad that I bit the bullet and paid for the Harmony!

Thom, really sorry you are having to go through so much worry with your pregnancy. Fingers crossed for your 20 week scan and beyond!

Lovely bumps, girls. I shall try to get a snap of mine later. My plans for a time lapse video of the bump growing very definitely did not happen! Mostly because the house is always such a tip that I couldn't find a good place for a photo!!

Scase I've had a bit of tummy cramp just after a poo the last two days, but it has lasted a couple of seconds at most. If you are worried, speak to the midwife!

I am finding cooking so much easier now that I'm not teaching full time, even though I am working full time. It's the fact that I don't have to work every evening as well as every day! Amazing! Big Chinese planned for tonight... We are having a go at making veggie dim sum!

Bluebell20 · 14/02/2016 14:51

Indians also meant to say - your little boy is so cute!!

AnnaT45 · 14/02/2016 14:54

Loving the bump pics! You all look fab. Mine hasn't really come out. I thought I'd be huge as I was pregnant less than a year after my firsts but I'm not putting on any weight and am worried baby isn't growing. Has anyone else not gained anything? Please don't think I'm being smug, I'm really not. It's just so different to my last when I couldn't stop eating.

To make matters worse I had a full blown tummy bug yesterday, was awful. Please avoid anyone who gets it as I dehydrated very quickly. So now my appetite is nonexistent. Have had a can of Coke to get some calories in ( mum of the year). Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

I remember having cramps after going to the loo, I think everything is just tender and stretching etc so please don't worry. It's awful these pains you get as you worry so much. Mention to midwife if you're concerned though.

Currently watching one born... Why am I doing this to myself?!

Cookiesandcoffee · 14/02/2016 19:21

anna really sorry to hear you've been poorly. I'm sure baby is growing healthily and getting what it needs. They take all the goodness don't they.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Valentine's Day.. No romance here! Although DH has been sent out to the chip shop ... Grin

Vikkijayne2507 · 14/02/2016 22:12

Bump is proper big now, I can only fit in maternity leggings, much bigger than last time, feeling lots of movement everyday it's amazing the difference between anterior and posterior that I have this time feel waayyy sooner.

19 weeks + 1 or could be 19+4 as at scan last week she added some days

MrsSJP · 14/02/2016 22:25

I'm new to mumsnet and also due July. Love reading everyone's stories etc, I'm so excited. 19+3 weeks, looking forward to my 20week scan although already had a private scan to find out we are having a little girl as we couldn't contain our excitement!! Still don't quite believe it yet, don't really feel like I have a proper bump yet and have felt little flutters in my belly but can't be sure it's movement so excited to feel the first proper kick!!

Happy Valentine's Day to all fello mummy's!

Jem01 · 15/02/2016 06:25

youandme so sorry to hear about your sad news. Thoughts are with you and your family x

bluebell sorry to hear about your friend & beautician sorry to hear about your husband's tools. Are you absolutely sure it's only his work van that's covered and not contents in it?

julfin completely forgot about pelvic floor exercises but will start doing them from now!! Defo thing we should be encouraging each other to do it!

photographer I'm finding I get quite snappy with people at work. I'm just not having the patience like I usually do oh well they're soon realise why when I reveal my need to them within the next few days!!

Welcome mrsSJP!

My Bump is getting bigger and bigger each day, might do a bump pic on Friday when I'm 20 weeks Smile

mascaraisamust · 15/02/2016 07:02

Morning. I reckon I've been feeling flutters for a three/four days but since Friday they've completely disappeared, not felt any for 2 days now. Starting to worry even though baby is probably just hiding... Anyone similar? Starting to get nervous again as I head towards the 20 week scan Confused

Ellizardo · 15/02/2016 08:28

Masacara - when's your 20 week? I'm sure there's nothing to worry about, particularly as the initial flutters may just be wind etc but depending on when your 20 week is, there is no harm in asking your MW in the meantime. If it makes you feel any better, I'm 19+2 with DC2 and still haven't felt anything at all but will wait until next Monday's scan. I won't deny I'd love to feel something soon, but so many babies lie in funny positions and just chillax, I'm trying not to worry!

Anna & others with closely spaced children - question about buggies! Have posted on the buggy thread too.

We have the Uppababy Vista system already which I will adapt into a two seater tank when DC2 arrives BUT I'm after a lighter-weight stroller for when we go abroad both before and after her arrival.

In other words, is there a compact stroller that works well on its own, but can have another seat added/piggy back board added? I assume Ted will still need a seat occasionally even at 16 months +?

What are your plans? Any advice much appreciated!

mascaraisamust · 15/02/2016 08:40

Ellizardo, two weeks today until the scan. Got a midwife appointment next Monday. I know it's mega early and those twangs may be all in my head, for now ill chill out, there's nothing they can do anyway I suppose!

Sorry I can't help on the pram front, got my new cosatto travel system for #1, I love the bold prints. Need something that does everything as we travel a lot and it will get battered!

Right, time for crumpets I think...
