Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 44th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 57th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

You can freeze mini Eggs???

That's a but of a shame Tri, would you be able to get a second opinion?

honeysucklejasmine · 02/02/2016 14:20

Feathered I went in to the toilet and cried. Not my proudest moment. Also bowed out of Baby shower as it was weekend of my due date and I couldn't sit in a room with a bunch of 19-20 year olds with orange skin and massive eyebrows

I think the fact that neither went to uni is a problem really. Not because of the lack of degree, I'm not a snob, but because they've not had to fend for themselves and put up with living with twats, and organising themselves.

MollyBloomYes · 02/02/2016 14:22

I know right?! He's been a bit of a nobber last couple of weeks due to stinking cold but can't fault his brotherly skills Smile

Honey how very annoying, agree maybe you just need a bit of space from them for a bit?

Excellent news on porker tea I love my big babies!

Tri that's not great, I agree get a second opinion!

KeepTheHope · 02/02/2016 14:23

Hi viroids, I have returned! Been feeling a bit meh recently and like I had nothing useful to add other than constant bloody headaches but I've decided to put my big girl pants on and get on with things now!

I haven't been able to completely catch up but have had a skim through...

So sorry to those who have had bad, sad and upsetting new recently Flowers I hope you're OK.

Congrats again to Jelly & Pretz on the arrival of your gorgeous babies. Hope you're all doing well despite everything not going to plan.

Not much news from this end. Headaches are dying down, doesn't seem to be anything but hormones causing the which is good but hoping they are settling a bit. Lots of interesting aches and pains in the abdominal region and the definite appearance of a very small bump. Bought some maternity trousers for work (and other things because I got carried away...) which arrived today and typically my normal ones don't feel as tight now!!

SecondCupOfTea · 02/02/2016 14:28

Thursday I don't think you can freeze Mini Eggs, as that would require letting go of the packet. Maybe they can be frozen if you buy two packets?

honeysucklejasmine · 02/02/2016 14:40

DN you all, I've now opened my pack of mini eggs. Instead of eating actual food for lunch.

Yes, I think I do need space Molly. I can't be doing with it without losing my rag.

Keep! Glad you're feeling a bit better. Whinge away dearest, that's what we're for!

honeysucklejasmine · 02/02/2016 14:43

Damn not dn

FeatheredTail · 02/02/2016 14:55

Honey! Don't cry! (laugh at their bad eyebrows and orange faces instead). Sounds like you need to not see them as much for the next few weeks.

I'm working at home today. Logged on at 7am as had given up sleeping and gone full circle from delirious tiredness to wide awake. Got loads done. Now approaching delirium again. Mini eggs would help but would mean getting dressed.

I did a conference call earlier with a load of partners and the senior partner of a firm...smiled to myself as I imagined them in their suits in a glass and steel building as I sat there holding fort in my baked bean stained dressing gown. Grin

Keep glad you're feeling better. You will need those trousers soon enough! I didn't get a proper bump through until about 2/3 weeks ago (when I was about 22/23 weeks). I attempted to get my suit trousers on yesterday which resulted in the button popping off after 5 minutes of yanking. Oops. I have 2 elasticated skirts and one non elasticated skirts left that fit me. Running out of options!!

Peenut · 02/02/2016 14:58

SO do you defrost the mini eggs or just eat them frozen? I have just eaten Christmas cake, still ploughing through it's brandy soaked goodness!

Oh dear Honey your BIL & SIL sound very annoying. It must feel weird to be getting advice given from said BIL!

KeepTheHope · 02/02/2016 15:13

Thanks Honey Smile Your B & SIL situation sounds incredibly frustrating, especially the bit with your name! Did they know you were planning on using it?

Feathered thank you. I seem to have days when I think I will definitely need them any day now and then days like today when I wonder what I was thinking! Realised I didn't have many other options if they don't fit any more so best to be prepared. The dressing gown conference call image has cheered me up greatly Grin

Mmm mini eggs. Must finished the lemon curd/drizzle cake I made yesterday before buying anything else though. I have not already eaten 2 pieces today

Stupid question alert So far I've not put any weight on, actually lost 3lbs since I got my bfp. I'll be 15 weeks on Thursday - this is nothing to worry about, right?

TriJo · 02/02/2016 15:15

Just eat them really cold!

TriJo · 02/02/2016 15:15

Keep It's absolutely fine, particularly if you've been sick or off your food a bit in the first trimester.

YogaPants · 02/02/2016 15:23

Keep and Feathered I think it is ok getting carried away with maternity clothes shopping, especially now that some sales are still on. I indulged in some Isabella Oliver workwear last week (at 70% off mind you) as I realised that I needed at least 5 outfits to alternate at work for the next four months. (Maternity bottoms have been a necessity since I was 15 weeks and now at 22 my tops are all getting too short).

Honey I think it is alright to be annoyed by and have different priorities (and fashion choices) to your SIL and BIL and still include them in your life. The name thing sounds terribly painful like they unknowingly rubbed salt in fresh wounds. (I guess the teeny tiny silver lining is you haven't ended up in the situation of having to lie about how much you like the name Kandy-Rain like in one thread I read on hear recently). Distancing yourself somewhat sounds like a good plan.

honeysucklejasmine · 02/02/2016 15:32

Yes absolutely Yoga to "unknowingly rubbed salt in fresh wounds" that's exactly it. And it was unknowingly, we hadnt discussed it at all. (How could we, I'd never met her at that point.)

Had a telephone appointment with GP at 2.20. He wasn't available and was going to ring me back. No call yet... Serves me right for not wanting to waste an appointment in person. Hmm

honeysucklejasmine · 02/02/2016 15:44

Yay, doctor phoned. Thank you, sods law.

Going to go get a prescription for omaprezole.

honeysucklejasmine · 02/02/2016 19:00

Quiet on here today.

FeatheredTail · 02/02/2016 19:12

More FB rubbish has probably put people off! Did you get your prescription ok?

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/02/2016 19:21

Hello, I had a friend over for a little while and then my internet went well wonky and then DH went out so I was in sole charge of DS.

Back killing again today from doing a little housework. How the fuck I got through a full days waitressing back when I was pregnant with DS I simply do not know

CountryGal4 · 02/02/2016 19:26

I'm too busy hiding my shame at how much I've eaten today.....

honeysucklejasmine · 02/02/2016 20:07

Yeah I did, and have taken my first dose. Interestingly doctor said Rennie isn't good for long term use. As it neutralises stomach acid, long term it raises the pH of your stomach. Cause of homeostasis, your stomach then produces extra acid in order to lower it again. So you end up compounding the problem. This apparently is not the case with gaviscon as it forms a barrier between acid and your throat rather than neutralising it.

The more you know!

(It's not working yet, but hope it kicks in tomorrow.)

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/02/2016 20:38

That is interesting honey. Good to know for reference. I hope it works for you soon.

Why oh why oh why is there never ice cream in my freezer...???

OP posts:
pretzelpieces · 02/02/2016 20:42

My gtt result was 5.6 to 7.6 and I did have gd.

feathered Oh well since you asked...

After 3 days of Just Mumming:
things we use tons
In hospital - foldaway changing mat
Gym ball during contractions
In hospital and at home - nipple cream (rub between fingers to soften then into nips)
Strappy vests and stretchy trousers/yoga pants
Giant pants, I fucking love them, so comfy and soft on my retracting bump and hold mattress pads in place.
At home - A battery powered touch lamp that goes dim - great for night feeds/can take it over to changing mat
Giant cotton pads
Mattressy maternity pads (about four packs)
I put a few drops of tea tree oil in a 100ml spray bottle from Superdrug and diluted with water - use it to clean foof and pat dry
Gro egg - enough light to latch on close by at night and easy to check temp of room
Moses basket - can be used on stand by side of bed or we have basket placed between us on the bed so either of us can reach her - I feed and he winds and soothes so we take turns to sleep.
My kindle that glows so I can tell myself those 3am feeds are also leisure time.

armadillo flip
Using the carrycot as place to put baby down in the living room as well as for pram
Car seat clicks into base/wheels so so easily (and I only have a 3 door)
Lovely colours
Easy to fold
Light
Super convenient shape to carry when folded - this made the most difference to me, it's like a little suitcase with a handle and it stands up on its own
I live on the third floor of flats so portability is super important.
Hope that helps - everyone is different!

molly so lovely to hear from you, I hope you're OK and xh is not being too much of a giant penis atm

pee glad my birth novel/live feed wasn't tmi, it was fantastic having the support of the viroids during my long labour, I felt so much less alone especially during the long nights when I sent DP home to rest so he could better support me in the daytime.

Too true honey Grin

Thanks to whoever posted loveit sale link now I am poor remind me to post pics of the unicorn trousers I bought M.

GX for good gtt result sky gd sucks donkey balls.

Missed a load of stuff out probably I'm sorry!

keep I'm sorry things have been hard Flowers

pretzelpieces · 02/02/2016 20:45

If you're a science teacher steal one of these to squirt water at your foof when peeing after birth (see pic).

SockQueen · 02/02/2016 20:58

Urgh, might as well not bother cooking dinner each night at the moment. DH is away, so it's just for me, and it seems to stay inside for about 30 seconds before reappearing. "Morning" sickness is a total lie.

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/02/2016 21:04

I remember the feeling well sock. Don't worry, it will pass eventually, but in the meantime take the pressure off yourself.

Go to the shops and just buy whatever you fancy, and eat it whenever you fancy.
