It's the calm before the storm (sort of) that is Fantastic February and the March Madness - we did a lot of shagging last summer! We need more JSers on this, our 44th thread!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 44th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 57th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

Sending a squeeze your way Lil, oversensitive or not, if they can give it then they can take it.

Honey that blanket is lovely!

Carrot try to get some rest, you poor thing. Do you have any garlic? I used to find chopping a few cloves up and necking them with oj before bed eased symptoms the next day (though obviously, I reeked). It's an awesome antiviral.

5hell Grin "the gina ford incident" - don't get me going on that again! Just spotted a comment I missed yesterday: "a midwife would have told you that information about breast feeding for free. LMAO". How lovely.

Fab to read your birth story Pretz and so pleased it was a positive experience for you Smile

lildottie · 01/02/2016 22:26

Thanks feathered
I hadn't seen that comment on yours either. Depends what me you get! Surely some are useless!

lildottie · 01/02/2016 22:28

Grr I'm still getting notifications ffs. Just feel like they've completely missed my point.

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/02/2016 22:36

Life's too short to spend much of it on things that wind you up.

OP posts:
lildottie · 01/02/2016 22:43

Good point Thurs that's y I turned the notifications off so I need to remember that and ignore the ones still coming thru

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 01/02/2016 22:50

honey that looks fab! I'm jealous of your skill.

thursday I am healed! Went a bit crazy in TK MAXX and Asda today as had the cabin fever something awful. Hospital bag is nearly all done and we have some new pretty stuff too Grin

Handing out CakeChocolateBrewStarFlowers all round

YogaPants · 01/02/2016 23:43

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the birth bit of the birthing process pretz and also that you are home already. It sounds like a long three days. I hope you gave the midwife an anatomy lesson to save others from your discomfort in the future!

I like the pictures and birth stories l on the fb group but it seems more geared towards viroids with children already rather than me as a first time incubator so I rarely contribute.(I also haven't worked out who everyone is yet so coming back here makes me feel more at ease).

5hell sorry for the crap news. I think a little retail therapy is justified to distract you.

carrot stay inside and rest if you feel like it. Anything permissible to keep the cold at bay. (I personally recommend fresh ginger and lemon tea but I think this is because I quite like hot sweet lemon drinks rather than believe in its curative properties).

pretzelpieces · 02/02/2016 00:01

5hell I'm so sorry to hear about your dm. Flowers and Unmumsnetty hugs for you.

thurs I'm impressed with your preparation! We have a tiny freezer but have got easy meals to make, DP has been feeding me so I can feed the bub. and now I can eat biscuits I'm sorted

feathered Agh so sorry, I feel like my popcorn comment was really insensitive now! Don't want anyone to feel that way. I knew it would bring out the polarised opinions but I didn't realise it would turn nasty Sad

sock Strictly and exploding ovaries! Grin

honey congrats on being top of the stats and having a productive discussion about the birth with the docs. "vagina show" lol. I had no success with expressing colostrum before the birth but fine straight after (she needed formula top up due to low blood sugar/gd as well though) try not to worry.

sky beware the rebound reflux that can come when stopping omeprazole. No one warned me! Thank you for your lovely comments re labour - regressing during sounds v tough xx

Knackered and in the middle of cluster feeding, hopefully ahead of my milk coming in tomorrow. She just keeps crying then feeding crying then feeding. Sore and tired. Sad

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 02/02/2016 00:07

Your milk is coming pretz you've got this! Sending you a big hug.

Wishe luck for my GTT tomorrow ladies!

pretzelpieces · 02/02/2016 00:08

Whoops I cross posted loads. Thanks to everyone for your kinds comments re my birth story. I have had a long term fear of giving birth and I relate to anyone with similar worries. Hope hearing experiences helps you as it has me while on this fred. Xx

pretzelpieces · 02/02/2016 00:09

Thanks and good luck sky

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 02/02/2016 00:27

I had a late dinner jusy in case... I am rubbish at fasting though. Really don't think I am going to cope well. DP has opted to steer clear take DD to school for me in the am.

CountryGal4 · 02/02/2016 07:32

Yes to who ever mentioned falling apart and yes to reflux. Humph. Still I have my brucie bonus scan next week for no reason!

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/02/2016 07:49

Your milk will be here soon pretz! I remember googling things like 'when?' and 'how will I know?' and then the day after my blood patch I was walking to the loo and the MW saw me and said
'Oh, your milk came in then?' With a kind smile. I was simply BURSTING out if all my clothes!
There's really no mistaking it when it happens! (And I did find cabbage leaves in my bra quite soothing)

Glad you are healed sky and I hope the GTT goes smoothly for you. I am not one of life fasters either, but luckily being alone helped it go quite quickly.

Not much planned today, bit of house work I think - oh the glamour

lildottie · 02/02/2016 08:04

Good luck sky hope you have lots of food ready for after!

pretz so pleased you are home. Sounds like you have everything you need Biscuit Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 02/02/2016 08:09

Good luck Sky! You'll be fine. Make sure to eat lots of sugary stuff after the blood test just in case it's positive!

My consultant wrote my results down the other day. It was 4 something before we started and 5 something afterwards. I have no idea what the range is! Might look it up out of interest. She also wrote down my T4 and TSH results so will do the same with them. Forget what they were now!

Slept on a pillow mountain last night and didn't have to eat 300 Rennie in the night. Good news! Did seem to put more pressure on my hips though so not ideal.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 02/02/2016 08:28

I don't feel too hungry yet but I am tired and dizzy... thanks for the well wishes all Smile

CarrotPuff · 02/02/2016 08:38

Yy to cabbage leaves in bra!

Gl with GTT sky.

fruitlovingmonkey · 02/02/2016 08:39

Good luck Sky hope you have an early appointment. I have mine on Thursday.
Great that your birth went well in the end Pretz. Hope you're having lots of cake and cuddles.

5hell · 02/02/2016 08:51

hope your GTT goes ok sky

...does everyone get one? or is it done in response to some test result? it's not been mentioned to me (although based on the number of muffins I eat I'm probably a good candidate!)

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/02/2016 08:56

They're not standard 5hell. I was offered one due to my mum being diagnosed with type 2 since the birth of DS, and DS was on the larger size of average.

OP posts:
SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 02/02/2016 09:01

I am getting one because I have a type of autoimmune disease that attacks my endocrine system and because my midwife looks at me like I have swelled up like that bird in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory who ate blueberry gum

honeysucklejasmine · 02/02/2016 09:02

I had one because I am overweight. There are a number of risk factors. A couple of RL friends have had them because their bumps were measuring high.or if you have a close relative with diabetes you will need one. Smile

5hell · 02/02/2016 09:29

thanks wise viroids :) i didn't think they were std in this country, but as quite a few of you have had them I began to doubt my info.

I think i should get to see my growth chart on thurs so might find out then.

honey maybe you can downgrade pillow mountain to a hill to find a happy balance between heartburn and sore hips?

my legs were less restless last night, but this seems to correlate with nothing, so I'll just be grateful for one sligtly better night and not get my hopes up for more...although dh is away the rest of this week so at least I can sprawl, fidget, use ALL the pillows, and not stress about waking him up too!

SecondCupOfTea · 02/02/2016 09:54

Honey between 4 and 5 is fine for glucose test (roughly between 4-8 is the ok range for a non-diabetic).

I had a GTT cos my mum was borderline diabetic at one point, although never medicated for it, and I err on the side of plump. I amazed the phlebotomist with the speed at which I drank the lucozade (but I love lucozade original...we have 6 bottles ready for my hospital bag Grin ). My test was negative, and I celebrated with a large slice of Xmas cake Smile

I have my growth scan today...I wonder if I'll get to see any recognisable bits of him (although if he's up to his usual tricks he'll have his back to the camera). I might sneakily ask for a picture if there is a good one.
