It's the calm before the storm (sort of) that is Fantastic February and the March Madness - we did a lot of shagging last summer! We need more JSers on this, our 44th thread!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 44th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 57th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

Ah thanks honey Smile
I hope she's well enough to post here soon.

I left entirely - I was starting to feel like the character of the group and my own weren't a very good fit anymore, that's all. Very happy to keep up with the thread though, I think we're a bit more mellow Smile

My freezer stash is super healthy now
Shepherds pie,
chicken, chorizo and chickpea stew,
Fish pie and finally
6 portions of lasagne in the oven right now.

I'm feeling quite smug. AND my nightshirts are nearly dry, phew that was close.

Thanks honey for the update on jelly , I'm not in the grads fb so was unsure of how she was doing. Not good to hear things didn't go her way but as long as mum and baby are safe that's the main thing.

Has anyone heard from pretzel?

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 31/01/2016 15:54

pretz has a beautiful baby girl and she looks so happy Smile

thursday I know what you mean about the FB group. It can get a bit Shock sometimes. But not everyone there feels the same way...

Ain626 · 31/01/2016 16:05

Thanks sky Grin

FeatheredTail · 31/01/2016 17:16

My reaction was a similar Sad followed by Angry and now just a Confused at the one sidedness of it (particularly from those who hadn't read the book). But not particularly bothered, just surprised by the patronising/sanctimonious/rude tone and unhelpfulness of some posters in a group I had thought supportive/advisory. But hey ho! Your support was much appreciated Sky.

Good work on the freezer stash Thurs! Super organised.

FeatheredTail · 31/01/2016 17:19

((Didn't mean to slag off FB group - just found it pretty irritating to face barrage of judgment))

FeatheredTail · 31/01/2016 17:22

More successful weekend purchases: biggest accrea palm IN THE WORLD (totally lost sense of perspective and now fretting as to where it's permanent spot will be) and Tiffany lamp. Love how plants perk up (take over) a room.

Like the old saying goes: everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if they are wrong... Quite sure the reaction has everything to do with their experiences with that book and very little to do with the support you were after. I am sure nobody meant to hurt your feelings. Some people get set in their ways very quickly and are quick to express their own viewpoints. Let's chalk it up to enthusiasm for their cause. Grin

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 31/01/2016 17:30

Lovely plant and lamp btw. Very Gatsby-esque! Flowers

ThursdayLastWeek · 31/01/2016 17:38

Yes and an excellent window in which to display them!

I am totally happy to have this baby from any time onwards now. I think from 34 weeks wouldn't be too worrying would it?
I'm done with being pregnant now.

Bit over it too thurs.... My body has right given up!

Any one else slightly terrified that they're going to be left in charge of a human... No? ..... Just me then!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 31/01/2016 18:14

They say the lungs are in good shape after 34 weeks but ideally you want to be more like 37. Hang in there! I know what you meen though... I'm podgy, ravenous, incontinent, uncomfortable, and impatient!

honeysucklejasmine · 31/01/2016 18:23

Had a nice nap this afternoon then hot tub and dinner. Feeling very relaxed.

ThursdayLastWeek · 31/01/2016 18:40

I'm actually ok with being left with the human - little ones are tricksy first time around, but i reckon I can handle it this time

Sounds like a lovely evening honey. How many weeks are you now?

sky I just double checked. Probably ought to hold out a bit longer. Grump.

feathered I was shocked by the responses to your gf post and almost pmd you about it! They did all seem to be more diplomatic after your comment on post though! Think they meant well. Clearly gf is not favoured!
Hope I've never offended anyone on fb group!

Not speaking to dh as he ate one of my chocolate bars that he said he didn't want in shop and told me not to buy. That itself I could have got over but apparently he ate it whilst decorating when I was "off galavanting". Clearly preparing for our baby and sorting through mouldy stair gates is something I'm expected to enjoy so is not considered work. (I did enjoy but that's not to say it wasn't tiring and necessary)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 31/01/2016 19:14

Oooh lil that DH of yours likes living dangerously, doesn't he? Wink

honey glad you're feeling nice and relaxed.

I also got through a bit of organising and putting away of baby things today and it is a very rewarding feeling...

NFMD DP has made me a lovely bolognaise... YUM

lildottie · 31/01/2016 19:31

He does sky, idiot miroid. He's just been and bought ready meals (at a guess) and is presumably now cooking them. I may let him off for that. Thankfully he's not cooking, I'd end up with food poisoning!

My DM is on form too. Apparently I need to decorate the nursery next weekend so I can start organising baby stuff. Seriously, I'm not 21 weeks yet!

lildottie · 31/01/2016 19:35

Oh ffs he can't even buy a ready meal I like! He's bought one with smoked bacon in it. I hate smoked anything!

ThursdayLastWeek · 31/01/2016 19:36

Cor, he's a brave man!

OP posts:
CarrotPuff · 31/01/2016 19:39

Nothing is prepared for baby here. I warned DH that I want chest of drawers assembled and crib taken from loft this weekend, but he did none of that Angry I would climb up there myself if it wasn't full of spiders...

My cold hasn't gotten better, I feel tired and sleepy but can't actually sleep, and can't stop sneezing which is very annoying. At least I'm off tomorrow and Tuesday...

honeysucklejasmine · 31/01/2016 20:02

I am 36+4 today Thursday Shock

Lil your miroid... Brave soul, that man.

lildottie · 31/01/2016 20:15

All I can say is itsa good job my email is broke, I need him to fix it so he's safe....for now. He didn't even buy dessert

Peenut · 31/01/2016 20:21

Oooph! Just read that FB feed! I assume for opinions to be so high it must be a book that's been read by others, for the same reasons you wanted to check it out Feathered! I don't think the responses were aimed at you personally but they were more than a bit RAH!

Like you I have no clue what to do or what to expect. Also I had no idea who Gina Ford is, I do now! You've got to find stuff that works for you and to say there is a degree of marmite-ism to approaches to parenting is an understatement! I have friends who love routine and friends that prefer to go with the flow, doesn't mean either is wrong.

I want books, I want all the books even if I later burn them in a ceremonious pile in the back garden while weeping and drinking gin. (Post baby of course)

Lil how very Dare he!!!

Country I am a bit terrified!
