It's the calm before the storm (sort of) that is Fantastic February and the March Madness - we did a lot of shagging last summer! We need more JSers on this, our 44th thread!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 44th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 57th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

pee we had our 2nd NCT session last night (of 7 i think), still early days but I'm enjoying it and i think it's helping dh a lot. everyone seems nice & "normal" but dont know if we'll make great friends or not, but it's nice to have the chance to hang with others in a very similar situation to yourself. most of our sessions are 7-9pm - it's a bit of a rush to eat and get there on time after work, but I dont find I'm too tired. the instructor seems to keep them quite varied and we get a drink & biscuit break in the middle :) personally i think a 1 day intensive would be a bit much and i'm not sure how much you could take in all at once...i like having time to digest the bit of info we've got that evening before moving on to something new. saying that, we could just be v lucky with our mentor/tutor. honey it wasn't as cringey as it sounds as we were all just working with our partners so not paying much attention to each other, plus most of the positions were just kneeling/leaning over etc...no legs akimbo on your back type stuff!!! Shock
have a 3h women only session tomorrow, and consequently a day off Grin

v excited about the potential for a double bubble birth - pretzlet and icklejelly might be bday twins!!!

TriJo · 28/01/2016 13:14

We had the first of 5 2 hour NCT sessions last night, 7:15-9:15pm. Not too bad at all - lots of useful information, it's always fun to see the reaction on DH's face at some birth-related things too! Group seems very middle class and we seem to be the youngest couple in the group (both 31!).

Had my 32 week midwife appointment today - everything looks good with our little guy, he's head down and his back has moved to the left side, he was leaning to the right at 29 weeks. Bloods good too - no iron supplement black shits for me thank $deity! Bit annoyed though, was the cover midwife instead of my normal one and she had managed to book out all the possible appointments already for the week I'm supposed to have my 34 week one, so I'm stuck waiting on a call or email when she finally decides when I'm going to be fitted in.

Hello, JS undergrad lurker here!

Just popping in to say GOOD LUCK to Pretzel and Jelly!!!

So exciting, fingers crossed for sneezers for the both of you ;)

jellypi3 · 28/01/2016 14:29

waves at undergrads thanks Grin hope to see you lot here soon!

pee I've really gelled with my nct group. There's 8 of us, I did the 6 session course and really enjoyed it.

Peenut · 28/01/2016 14:42

Thanks ladies, you are selling it to me! I've asked to reserve a place in May. Only two slots left apparently so just ducked in there! That's good that the course has been useful for your DH 5hell. I think mine defo needs some information that isn't google searches of doom!

That lunch looks like a lovely feast Pretz! Yum.

Hope Jelly's baby is about to make an appearance too!

Just been to see the midwife as had that appointment booked anyway and we had a chat about the bleeding. She said it's probably coming from the placenta and may happen again. She said if it keeps happening my baby might be smaller and has suggested on my notes that I have more growth scans than are otherwise offered.

She was very matter of fact but nice, and it was good to hear why the bleeding might be happening and how it might affect things, if not a bit scary – but better to know all the facts and be reassured/informed by more scans I guess. Will just keep my legs crossed it doesn't happen again.

5hell · 28/01/2016 15:01

Hi tri waving ...feel like I haven't seen you on here for a bit...good to hear you're doing well :)

glad to hear mw was supportive pee

sorry - didn't mean to ramble on about nct so much! i'm not on commission I promise ;)

pretzelpieces · 28/01/2016 15:30

Thanks Scottish!

pee glad mw was informative, if not that reassuring Flowers

Pessary is in at last. 24hr one put in at about 3pm. Midwife that did it was a stubborn clueless cow who has bruised my urethra to fuck. I told her it felt wrong as it really fucking hurt and she insisted she was doing it right. I did stop her again in the end and said "you have to part me!" Blush and then she did and it was fine. Minor discomfort. So now I'm bruised to fuck and upset for no reason. I'm really prone to cystitis when I get bruised and it tends to spread to my kidneys so there'll be hell to pay. Anyway. So I'm just having a lie down and we might go for a walk about the hospital in a bit. Lady in my bay still in a lot of pain poor thing. Scary.

jellypi3 · 28/01/2016 15:38

Oh no pret that sucks :( what a cow bag. I really hope you avoid cystitis when baby is here.

pretzelpieces · 28/01/2016 16:02

Thanks jelly. Mental health midwife just stopped by and I had a wobble at her, she was lovely. She's not here again till Monday and says she'll visit me and my baby on the postnatal ward! Smile

CarrotPuff · 28/01/2016 16:22

Oh Pretz what a twunt! Did she at least apologise?

CarrotPuff · 28/01/2016 16:33

Feeling huge and uncomfortable today...

honeysucklejasmine · 28/01/2016 16:49

Gosh Pretzel, I hope you aren't still there on Monday!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 28/01/2016 16:51

Oh pretz I know this feels awful now but I promise you it is all going to feel worth it when that baby is in your arms weeps

jelly I hope you are getting lots of rest now in preparation for tomorrow squee

My latest indignity is that I was woken at 5am by what I was worried was the baby having a spasm... upon regaining conciousness I realised she'd barrel rilled across my tummy from left to right. After some googling and an hour of feeling normal movements I was reassured. I mentioned it to DP and said I had learned babies can startle in the womb but that I am not sure what caused her to drastically change position to which he replied "You have been snoring remarkably loud! That's probably what scared her!" BlushShockGrin My poor bubba... her mummy sounds like a broken lawnmower....

jellypi3 · 28/01/2016 17:23

haha oh no sky, i woke myself today snoring!! it's so embarrasing!

i've had a snooze and been putting together a "doing a baby" playlist, bit crampy from the sweep but no signs of labour sadly!!

KateBeckett · 28/01/2016 17:29

Aww pretz sorry you got man handled. How are things now?

pee I will be your mummy friend! Grin have you gone for a course in H or K? We've been having a look at nct courses, but still not sure, they are so expensive!

Just been chatting to my friend from uni who is due soon- she had a bit of a scare this week with a bad virus and baby stopped moving. Luckily they are both fine now, but she's started maternity leave early. Poor thing!

sky that made me chuckle Grin

pretzelpieces · 28/01/2016 17:34

sky Grin

honey I fully expect to be here Monday, but I'd better be on the postnatal ward by then!!

kate nothing is happening! Possible periody pains that might be wind.

pretzelpieces · 28/01/2016 17:35

Sorry my birthing is so boring at the moment!

CarrotPuff · 28/01/2016 18:04

Don't be silly pretzel, it is all very exciting! So do they leave you for 24h then or are they going to do regular VEs?

pretzelpieces · 28/01/2016 18:13

Nah they'll leave it for 24hrs unless something really kicks off dramatically. I guess I am lucky that although I am "high risk" cause of the gd, the reason everything is so slow for me is because they feel it is safe to do it slowly. That's makes me and my baby lucky because we are doing okay. She's all okay on the monitor and we are both safe and well.

CarrotPuff · 28/01/2016 19:07

That's great PMA, keep it up Smile

Hobbit19 · 28/01/2016 19:39

Fab attitude Pretz!

Nefertitts · 28/01/2016 19:59

Slinks in to mark place for live minipretz and jellybean Fred... Festooned with pompoms...

pretzelpieces · 28/01/2016 20:18

We bumped into the sneezebirth lady from my nct class on the way back from a waddle round and I practically burst in tears in front of her ffs Blush they were leaving with their baby and I just felt like omg I'm so far from that point. Gah

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 28/01/2016 20:27

pretz you could have danced naked round her singing Van Halen and doing air guitar solos and probably she still barely would have registered seeing you. Post birth you are in a buuble where only you and your baby matter. Trust me. There is no shame in Maternity Ward. Chin up sumshine. Your time is nearly here Star

honeysucklejasmine · 28/01/2016 20:40

This could get very exciting!
